ik that max making theatre references when killing ruth in the theatre (i absolutely lost it at him plunging the theatre into darkness then yelling "FIND YOUR LIGHT!") is just a side effect of being a character in a musical (and therefore being written, directed, and acted by theatre nerds) however i choose to believe he's a closet theatre kid because it's funnier that way
