one thing i really don't like about uh i guess we can call it "fandom culture" is when there's a character who's done fucked up things but instead of dealing with that their fans just. push the blame onto someone else.

it's just. boring

#personal #vent post #this is about naruto but also other things #like idk if it's just not wanting to have your favorite character have done super fucked up shit or something #but like. it's weird #like there's a trend in the naruto fandom to just blame whatever on danzou even if it doesn't make any sense for him to have done that #you know what absolutely makes sense for him to have done but no one cares about? stage hinata's kidnapping to ruin the kumo treaty #but there's no super hot character being blamed for that so. i guess it doesn't matter #meanwhile characters like itachi and tobirama are just. divorced from any culpability #why would you want to do that #where's the fun in it #same for just dismissing characters as Bad Forever No Nuance #like sure maybe they suck but. you're not even a little curious about them? not at all? ok
