Nagpapasalamat ako sa Tumblr account na ‘to kasi looking back, naging safe space ko ito. Walang judgement. Walang audience whether by will or by force. Actually, para ko itong junkyard playground. LOL. Before kasi, I handled a playground equipment brand and narealize ko that playgrounds PLAY a huge part in my childhood. 

So ayun na nga. Aim: i-marry ang thesis design sa screenplay. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHA

so ayun na nga. on top of work from home and major life decluttering and aiming to slay menopause early like JLO. LOL. Sabi naman di ba? walang masamang mangarap ng matinde sa panahong ganito.  sobrang thankful talaga akong nawala na ako sa mundo ng ahensya. and I can not even imagine myself saying this ng buong puso. kasi alam mo yung  feeling ko before that it felt like i wanted an easy way out. LOL. kaya ako nag-brand. kasi all my life, it’s advertising that i swim and sink in. tignan mo. present tense pa yan. sariwa pa ang bakas ng nakaraan. 

pero ayoko ng balikan hindi dahil inayawan ko siya. pero constant choice to keep choosing myself. sa mundo ng advertising kasi oo, queen of the world ka. seryoso yan. pero kung gaano siya nakaka-high, ganun naman siya nakaka-sedate in a really, really bad way. 

i chose to let this dream go kasi nga, our dreams change based on how we widen or tighten our biases. palawan taught me that all the stress-induced gastritis is indeed based on lifestyle. this was later confirmed by my legit test in st. luke’s weeks before the lockdown. lol. so far, though i always say my tummy seems to have ulcers, oks naman siya. pati esophagus and the other exit point of my body. LOL. 

ako naman. this is my mantra that propelled me to kiss advertising good bye. 

ako naman. this is also why i keep a better state of mind, body and spirit these days in spite the lockdown. 

ako naman. in spite having suicidal thoughts because of nothingness a week into the lockdown, i tried applying for ricky lee’s writing workshop because wala namang masamang mangarap ng matinde. 

ako naman. choosing not to work until i fall from weariness because i want my work to allow me to live the life i want. and easier said than done because i need to be reminded that holidays and weekends are meant for things that you do outside work. and i mean this literally. thanks to the superb EA of my current org who reminds me not to go online when it’s a long weekend. LOL. 

ako naman. to hell with what others say about me or what they don’t. for the first time in my almost 34-year existence, i can say that if i die at this moment, i won’t say sayang, too bad and i wish i had more time. totoo yun. a few blogs ago, i told myself na tama na kasi i felt so kawawa because when i was back in my advertising game, sobrang iniyak ko ‘yung idea na i am stuck in a shit hole --not because of my company, not because of the people i work with, but because, hindi na ‘yun ang dream ko; but i felt like i had no other choice. CHOZ naman pala ‘yung no choice part. 

ako naman ---’yan ang sabihin mo sa sarili mo everytime feeling mo you’re being too out there or you’re being too hard on yourself or sobrang mood swing lang ng shit kasi (insert a profound bullshit here).
