The Lost Tomb || Wu Xie x Zhang Qiling || Their Story
Since this is my 100th video on youtube, I figured I could do something special 😁
The story of Menyouping and Tianzhen, how they met, and everything that came after…
I tried following the plot as much as possible, but had to make a few concessions to the generally chaotic DMBJ timeline.. (Flashbacks *clenches fist*)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy… 🥰🩷💚
A minion thanks to my meimei, who provided the thumbnail, opinions and ideas, and yelled at me when necessary; and also to the lovely Yucun people for helping me find the important scenes in three hundred episodes 😁
Shows: The Lost Tomb
Pairing: Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling
Song: Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

In Daomu Biji Vol 4, when Zhang Qiling said to Wu Xie,
I think, this is really like a wakeup call to us, readers. To make us realize, "OMG! Isn't Wu Xie's obsession to MenYouPing/Poker Face is borderline abnormal? It's no longer a simple curiosity anymore, his desire to control and know everything about Zhang Qiling's affair is really unlike the care of 2 ordinary brothers at all!"
Wu Xie was extremely concerned about Zhang Qiling's affairs, his past, his whereabouts, his future choices, and everything.
After the case of Zhang Family's Ancient Building, when Zhang Qiling chose to leave, Wu Xie threw a fit like a resentful wife who's abandoned by her husband (lol). This is really weird if we're talking about ordinary brothers. Like, wherever path a brother chose to embark, what did it matter to his friend? Ordinary brotherhood would maintain their boundary about everyone's choices. Besides, Zhang Qiling's choices to go is not a bad thing at all. That's just him pursuing his own private matter. Therefore, Wu Xie's obsession to keep Zhang Qiling by his side, is really abnormal.
When it comes to Wu Xie, he wants Zhang Qiling to stay on his radar. This kind of possessive mentality is not a brotherly feeling at all!
This is like an obsessed lover who keeps sending their partner messages, "Where are you? What are you doing? What do you want to do? Where do you want to go?"
Fortunately, Wu Xie's obsession is finally being realized in Notes in Rain Village (Yucun Biji), haha! Wu Xie is finally able to keep his favorite Zhang Qiling by his side 24/7 and live a retirement life of old husband and wife! Congrats, Boss Wu!

A newbie's guide to The Lost Tomb franchise/Dao Mu Bi Ji/The Graverobber's Chronicles
I have seen people all over the internet asking questions on posts about DMBJ such as, where to start, what it is, and who are those cutie pies? You may have seen images similar to this
I, as someone who has watched a lot of the franchise and read at least half of the books (which if you knew how many there were, that would be impressive), I want to take a moment, or many, to explain to anyone who wants the answer to these questions. This will take a while, I cannot shut up, especially about them.
Spoiler free!
Now, first things first, what is Lost Tomb/DMBJ/Graverobber's Chronicles?
Lost Tomb is a Chinese Franchise comprised of a multitude of dramas and movies over the course of a decade that were all made by different people and actors to tell the story written in the novel series, The Graverobber's Chronicles, or its original Chinese title Dao Mu Bi Ji, written by Nan Pai San Shu.
This means that popular characters people will refer to will have many different faces. Such as all of these being Wu Xie
You may recognize any of those actors if you watch popular Cdramas, 1st Zhu Yilong who plays Shen Wei in Guardian, 2nd Zeng Shunxi who plays Xiao Bao in Mysterious Lotus Casebook, and 3rd Hou Minghao who was recently in Fangs of Fortune as Zhu Yan.
But, what is it about?
Lost Tomb as a franchise is loosely about a man named Wu Xie who is the last in a family line of graverobbers, but he himself has been kept out of the loop by the family. He has had his grandfather's journal since he passed away, which makes him take an interest in the family business. This leads him to force his uncle to let him tag along with him on tomb raiding adventures.
I feel it is important to tell people what they may encounter just in case they have sensitivities, so this franchise as a whole contains supernatural themes of ghosts, zombies, gods, etc. There will be blood, BUGS, and some body horror in a lighter portion, if you have any questions about specifics feel free to ask.
Now, let's skip to who those cutie pies are before telling you about the options for where to start.
The characters you may have seen around that got you interested may be
Wu Xie, the main character who is played a little differently in every iteration of the story but mainly think of a man with a high level of intelligence, but the worst luck in the world and some bitchy attitude (said with love) and you'll have him. You saw some of the most popular actors to play him up top.
Zhang Qiling/Xiao Ge (young master)/Menyouping (Poker-face), one of the main characters who is the strong, emo, silent, tatted sweety of the story. He is mysterious on purpose; you're not meant to know much about him at any given time. Him and Wu Xie are very close and with the next character, they form what is widely known in book, show, and fandom as the Iron Triangle. Just meaning the three are a package deal and won't be separated.
Wang Pangzi, the chubby, stylish, tough, bitchier than Wu Xie, lovable bastard. His name actually translates to Fatty, so that is what you will see everyone call him. It's not mean, just accurate. Pretty much everyone has real names and nicknames they go by. Remember, they are doing something illegal.
It's less likely, but you may have seen my personal favorite boys Hei Xiazi or Hei Yanjing (black glasses or black blind, you'll see why) and Xie Yuchen or Xiao Hua (little flower). They are the black/pink dynamic of the century for me. Hei Xiazi is a merc for hire and Xiao Hua is Wu Xie's cousin who has become the patriarch of his family at a young age.
Now, last question that people ask the most, where do I start?
There is no right or wrong answer, you can start chronologically with Mystic Nine, release order with Lost Tomb 2015, a mixture of both, leave out the ones you aren't interested in (*cough* Time Raiders movie), or just jump in in the middle. Each adaptation is aware of the fact that people will not have seen the others, and they will try to speed run the story to you, which can confuse people, but if you just want to experience the story with familiar faces, it won't be too bad.
To share my experience. I started with the Lost Tomb 2015, continued with Lost Tomb 2 2019, skipped Explore with the Note 2021 because I didn't vibe with it, Ultimate Note, started the prequels with Mystic Nine, which is a prequel with our character's ancestors, watched The Hei Xiazi and Xie Yuchen movie, started Reunion, watched a prequel movie and just started reading the books. I was never super confused because I had the set-up of the first 2 to build upon.
If you are a completionist like me and want to read the novels go to Merebear's blog. She is phenomenal and she has translated pretty much everything for your reading pleasure and laid it all out in an easy-to-follow way. I cannot give her enough gratitude. I absolutely adore her and all of her efforts as well as all her helpers along the way.
Now just a little gay propaganda about Lost Tomb franchise. The novels and shows are not canonically gay, but I mean... they are giving something.

NPSS Weibo Q&A (20240831) Part 1
This is a Q&A session held on Weibo. People will tag their questions with the hashtag #南派三叔藏海花在线答疑# (#NPSS Zang Hai Hua Online Q&A#) and NPSS will look through the tag to pick some to answer. The event started at 1500 hours on 2024 August 31st. For comedic purposes, this translation will include the timestamps for the answers. And for efficiency purposes, I have left out all usernames. The usernames of the question-askers can be found via the screenshots in this folder if anyone is inclined to do that.
1422 Come ask questions at #NPSS Zang Hai Hua Online Q&A#. I will stay online and pick questions to answer without limits from 3pm onward. 1500 Q: Sanshu, what was the thing that Zhang Qiling wanted Pangzi to tell Wu Xie that Pangzi mentioned when he was fixing Wu Xie’s dislocated shoulder? My friends and I would love to know.
A: Eat well, sleep well, wear socks even in the summer. 1500 Q: Lei, do you like this pic I made? [It’s an edit of NPSS’s face on a pink dressed magical girl body]
A: I feel like this pic is affecting the fengshui in my house.
1502 Q: Shu, it is confirmed that Ten Years is included in the ZHH drama. Then, will the drama show the changes between ZHH Wu Xie and Ten Years Wu Xie? In yesterday’s livestream you said that there are four turning points in the drama. Is it that Wu Xie will become Xie Di after being tricked four times? A: Every character and their fate all have big turning points. Whether he’s a good person or an evil person, whether his answers are real or fake, you must watch till the end [only then you’ll know].
1502 Q: Sanshu, what was Wu Xie thinking in the split second when he saw Menyouping’s portrait in Tibet? A: “What the fuck!” (T/N: swears are not very translatable in meaning. I tried.) 1503
Q: Pumpkin Sect (T/N: this might be an intentional typo punning of nanpai which means southern sect), what would the scene be like if Xiaoge’s mom met Wu Xie? Would Bai Ma be happy that her child had gained some humanity because of Wu Xie? A: Bai Ma would probably teach Wu Xie to sing. Something like The Night of Ulaanbaatar.
1505 Q: Shu, why have you been answering so many questions lately? Has there been some big thing happening?
A: They said that I’m a liuliang celebrity so I should shoulder the publicity mission. (T/N: Liuliang celebrity refers to celebrities who are popular (or controversial) and are able to generate a lot of social media traffic. For example: when a celeb would get on the trending searches whenever they post selfies/ attend events/ do just about anything.)
1513 Q: What would Mo Yungao from Southern Archives do if he had really found Xiaoge? A: He would eat Zhang Qiling.
1523 Q: Is the audience viewing experience taken into deep consideration when making drama and movie adaptations? For example, allowing those who haven't read the novels to understand the plot. I saw some people saying that they couldn’t follow the plot [from the drama].
A: For Reboot, in order to help the audience get into it, we introduced the characters and their occupation in the first episode. But for ZHH, according to the number of votes, we all chose to do a cold open based on the novel.
1524 Q: Sanshu, Sanshu, I want to know, based on Zhang Qiling’s arm strength, how many Wu Xies can he carry?
A: If he uses the strength from his waist to assist, he can throw Wu Xie up to the third floor.
1526 Q: What is the ending for Boss Jiao in the Reboot novel?
A: Became Jiao. (T/N: The character for Jiao means burnt).
1527 Q: Will Xu Zhenxuan play Wu Xie in the Heavenly Palace re-shoot?
A: Yes.
1528
Q: Shu, did Zhang Haike recommend Xiaoge’s drink to Wu Xie because he wants to show off that he understands Xiaoge? A: Hahahahaha
1532 Q: ZHH drama and novel will have two separate endings. Now that the drama has an ending, have you decided on the ending of the novel? When will you experience Tianshou? A: I always understood the dramas as the dreams of the characters from the books. That means that the changes in details in the dramas, to me, I would always explain it as the intentional and unintentional amendment to the details as they tell this story to someone else. Or that these are part of their dream and after-the-fact fears. I will explain it again after [you] see the end.
1533
Q: I would like to know the mental state of the company. It seems like it’s taking big steps towards a beautiful direction.
A: It’s rare to be able to legally go crazy. Everyone’s very happy.
Here's the first 15. There are more answers and I will chip at them at a pace that will hopefully be able to keep up with NPSS. The folder also contains a google doc that has all the complied Q&As if anyone prefers to read on that.

might as well throw in some pingxie thoughts while i’m at it
i have. many things to say about pingxie. but on the subject of reducing relationships to one dimensional tropes specifically, it does them just as much of a disservice.
my favorite variation of pingxie is in the books (very shocking i know, although that’s technically the original them and not a variation), and by comparison to what’s shown in the dramas (which are fun and self-indulgent don’t get me wrong), the books are the slowest of slow burns. never forget we see everything in them from wu xie’s pov exclusively (at least the main entries), so we can only infer xiaoge’s own growth and development from what wu xie sees of it, but it very much exists.
wu xie has a complicated opinion of xiaoge in the earlier books, mostly because he doesn’t quite know what to make of this man who looks younger than he is and completely blows him off on their first meeting (blows everyone off in fact) much to his displeasure, which leads to the initially derogatory nickname ‘menyouping’, and yet is also vastly competent and knowledgeable. he’s cold and indifferent, yet wu xie feels safe around him and trusts him more than he likely should from the get go, mostly because wu xie’s good at reading people’s intentions and character on an instinctive level he doesn’t always manage to rationalize early on. he’s fascinated and would like to know him better, but also finds him deeply unfathomable, even incomprehensible.
and then you have xiaoge, who it merits saying, is repeatedly described as largely indifferent to most things (and he genuinely is), doing what he deems necessary but otherwise not bothering to involve himself with other people or social niceties. this is a man who spends his time off to the side sleeping or contemplating the sky, and yet in the space of four books he goes from not giving two shts about wu xie (or more than he would the average person) to voluntarily interacting with him, siding with him in quiet ways, helping him through unspoken little acts all the way up until a turning point wherein he first tries to keep his distance from wu xie en route to tamutuo in an effort to keep him from getting further involved than he already is in dangerous things he has no concept of, except by then he’s shown enough uncharacteristic interest in wu xie that wu xie notices he's being cold and distant. this all culminates in the infamous moment where xiaoge eventually lets himself act on thoughts he’s likely never fully analyzed himself, let alone shared with another person, leading to the “if i disappeared no one would notice” moment.
and from there all the way until post ten years later and into things like yucun biji, the reality is that pingxie were never the serious immortal and the dorky clumsy mortal boy he adopts, nor are they the vulnerable strong one and the eventual protector, or any other trope variation really. pingxie are two people who at the start stand on opposite sides of a line neither of them were ever meant to cross, and to all intents and purposes should never have met for how very different the worlds they come from are. they’re people that circumstance threw together who chose to stay together, and keep choosing each other. they don’t need each other to exist, and could have gone their separate ways had they wanted to, but the importance of their relationship lies in that they stay together by active choice, and that in doing so, they meet in the middle.
wu xie matures and comes to understand a number of things through hardship while xiaoge is behind the gate that untether him just enough from the world that xiaoge isn’t quite so unfathomable anymore, while xiaoge comes down from his imposed pedestal just enough that he tethers himself to wu xie (and pangzi) and learns to live rather than exist
neither of them became a different person for the other, and the core of their relationship (and the beauty of it) is in the harmony and understanding they eventually achieve. reducing all of that to archetypes is honestly a little tragic
#this has nothing to do with the point i'm making here#but for the record#most of this is the basis of why i like to hc pingxie as being on the ace/demi spectrum#and as having no real prior romantic and/or sxual experience besides with each other if we're talking shipping#bc neither of them really show any kind of special interest in other people besides each other really#and the way their relationship develops is a precedent for both of them respectively#in more not directly related#there's so many sweet moments in yucun biji specifically that show the care and regard they have for each other#xiaoge telling wu xie when he leaves to roam the mountains and approximately when he'll be back so he won't worry#vs wu xie being on a private quest to find something xiaoge genuinely likes to add to their restaurant menu#and feeling some type of way about xiaoge liking the snails and sneaking candies into the car on their trip back from banai#they never use words not really#BUT THEY CARE#SO MUCH#it helps a lot that wu xie happens to be a sometimes uncannily self-aware narrator#and he'll say the most heartfelt and profound things so matter-of-factly sometimes you have sit there and take it in#i feel very normal about them#dmbj#pingxie#wu xie#zhang qiling#dmbj meta

Living Hei Feizi Zhang Qiling
TW for body horror, parasitism, snakes, body possession, eating animals whole, animal death, animalistic behavior
I've taken @onmyo-jin's advice to write my own little interpretation of how would a Hei Feizi! Zhang Qiling would play out.
"Xiaoge, where are you?" Wu Xie called out into the night as he tried looking for the signature blue hoodie of Zhang Qiling. Ever since that particular trip in Gutongjing , Menyouping had acted a lot more reclusive than what was typical for usually silent and stoic companion. Then in the far distance, Wu Xie's ears picked up frantic squeaking that was abruptly silenced. As he followed the source of the noise, he'd imagined it was one of the wild cats or owls that had caught a mouse. He hid behind one of the buildings
What he didn't expect as a hunched over familiar figure gripping the slowly dying rodent between fangs (did Xiaoge have fangs?). Wu Xie was transfixed in horrified fascination as Zhang Qiling flicked out a forked tongue and swallowed the dying mouse whole down his throat. He could even see the slight bulge in Xiaoge's throat as the mouse slid down into his stomach. Xiaoge's hoodie and hair just shifted ever so slightly to reveal that slitted pupils adorned the clear water irises and that small patches of black snake scales dotted the pale skin.
The changed eyes snapped suddenly towards Wu Xie's position as Xiaoge pounced on the unintentional voyeur and tackled him to the ground. Sharp hisses pierced Wu Xie's ears like needles as he felt his legs tangled up by the sudden appearance of the long thin serpentine tail covered with black hair and the burning hot breath of Zhang Qiling on his neck. Wu's hands were currently occupied with keeping the venomous fangs as far away from him as possible.
Then Wu Xie saw something that horrified him down to his core. In the warm moist cavern of Menyouping's throat, the head of a black hair snake poked itself out from the esophagus. Instead of trying to leap into his throat or spewing more of its younger kin or eggs down, it just watched him with interest with its bright amber orange eyes and disappeared down his gullet. Wu Xie then felt the tail loosening in its grip and he managed to shove off the possessed Zhang for just a moment.
Wu Xie had tried to run back to warn the others when that tail made its reappearance and tripped him over and allowing the living hei feizi to pin his wrists. The scaly tail not content with binding Wu Xie's legs traveled up and slipped under his shirt, as the forked tongue brushed against the trembling neck. Xiaoge's actions were that of a long lost lover, finally reunited with their other half as Wu Xie could feel the trembles of resistance from the human fighting back.
"Xiaoge, it's Wu Xie. Keep fighting back and we'll find a to free you from possession." The pinned human whispered into the hei feizi and it had some effect. He could hear the sickening noises of flesh and bone retreating back and the grip loosening on his hands as he caught the now unconscious Zhang Qiling in his arms and held him for what felt like an eternity.
The tears were threatening to leak out from his mouth as Xiaoge's body noticeably was lowered by a few degrees and could feel more black snake scales on the arms and Xiaoge's head slumped over his shoulder.

hiii!! ive heard a lot about dmbj but havent personally tried it out.. would you mind talking a little bit abt it/what you like about it? ty!!!!!
fuck this got long sorry. who knew i had so much to say. beneath the cut it goes.
ohhhhh boy oh boy ohhhhhh boy okay well so for context. the only dmbj i have Finished Fully is sha hai and sha hai is VERY different from the rest of dmbj in tone and in content because it occupies sort of the “lost decade” as it were of wu xie’s life, a time of intense grief, and is told 100% from an outsider’s perspective, one who has no familiarity with the jiumen or graverobbing generally. basic premise for the “main” novels and adaptations is that there’s an heir to an old graverobbing family (wu xie)who gets caught up in the life of an immortal graverobber/mercenary (xiaoge/zhang qiling/menyouping) along with a third character who’s a northern graverobber (wang pangzi, as opposed to the wu family, who are from the south) and it all details their adventures and the way history begins to rear its head (there are secret cults and shit over time plus some supernatural shit that sometimes is left as is and sometimes is given Ye Olde Science Treatment (badly.)).
but hm…….okay i will probably reblog this post again later on desktop so i can articulate myself better (phone in bed is not conducive to cogent writing, who would have thought) but what i like the most about dmbj is that, intentionally or not, over and over, it says, humanity means something. being human, the connections you have with others, that all means something. and it’s shown both in the grief the characters feel, be it the tiesanjiao (main trio of the canon) when they lose one of their own for a decade, or hei xiazi and xiao hua’s dynamic in mystery of the abyss when xiazi is slowly dying, or in the inside jokes, the fondness, the trust each of the characters has for those they are/grow close to.
i’m speaking more to the show adaptations in this reply, just because i’m the most familiar with those (have been too lazy to buy/read the raws and the available translations are 1. shitty official translations or 2. slightly less shitty, edited mtls that i have a bone to pick with for being mtls but i digress) so that’s my bias but i would say that in terms of plot driven vs character driven the novels are more plot-focused while the shows lean more into the character dynamics, just because in the novels they’re first person pov and in the shows necessarily that can’t be the case.
where was i going with this…………i think how you approach dmbj is kind of important, how and where you jump into the pool as it were if you want to is kind of important because all the adaptations vary from each other (usually entirely new cast, some actors stick to their roles like zme but most don’t) and they also vary from the novels. so like if you want something more light hearted and comedic, you could start with ultimate note (the cnet is more fond of this adaptation), if you want older* characters who are dealing with that age and the risks that their job has brought them then reunion/restart, if you want to be thrown into the deep end and have to figure it out from scraps then sha hai/tomb of the sea, the early webseries (tlt2015, tlt2, tlt2.5) are known for being kind of janky and dry in places especially tlt2015 (first adaptation, to this day i’ve never made it past the first two episodes because of the way they chose to adapt the relevant novel), there’s also ljm/mystic nine if you’re into republican era/pre-canon, etc etc. for me, personally, i’ve always said the only reason i love dmbj, the only reason i love WU XIE, is because i started with sha hai and hated him, utterly loathed him, and then came to love him over time precisely for the things that had made me hate him to start with—if i’d started with another adaptation, like the first webseries, i would have found him way too much of an audience insert and therefore boring to me.
ummmm what else………if you’re ship-inclined there’s a lot of ships to be had though i wouldn’t recommend going into it for the ships lol because that’s not usually a focus (dmbj is not actually a danmei, in my opinion npss is half doing it for the money and half doing it because as a divorced chinese man of a certain age he’s deeply entrenched in a homosocial norm and replicates this in his writing. again my opinion but it’s grounded in my experiences growing up. also objectively he makes a lot of money off the fact that people read a gay romance into pingxie. like i’m not saying the evidence isn’t there i’m just saying i don’t think he ever intended it to be Actual Real Gay Romance if you know what i mean. schrödinger’s romance). i would say if you want to focus more on ships, ultimate note has a decent amount of fanservice for heihua (hei xiazi/xiao hua) and pingxie (wu xie/xiaoge), reunion has more pangxie (wu xie/pangzi) because xiaoge isn't in it as much, the other series are pretty evenly distributed in terms of what they lean more into for dynamics, etc. there's also the various movies (i personally am deeply fond of mystery of the abyss, there are a bunch of these, they vary in quality, zhu zanjin is in one if that inclines you more towards watching them), and there's also a ton of side characters if you want a rarepair (i've been known to write them. not even a guilty pleasure i just think they're fun).
other things about dmbj..............there's a lot of janky cgi across the adaptation series, an absurd amount of snakes and bugs and snake-bugs and bug-snakes, tentacles sometimes, there's some snake zombies in one of them, etc etc, USUALLY no heavy gore (though mystery of the abyss has some body horror that might turn you off, of the "worms in your flesh" type). the novels are a bit more graphic, because they're not censored quite the same way the shows/films are, but i wouldn't say too much so?
anyway yeah i guess teal deer: there's a lot going on and i'm deeply passionate about all of it. i hope this isn't too intimidating?? if you have more questions feel free to comment or reblog this ask and i'll do my best to answer!

A Port in the Storm
Fandom: The Lost Tomb Rating: General Relationship: Wu Xie / Zhang Qiling Tags: introspection, fluff, first kiss Words: 800 Summary: Zhang Qiling thinks about metaphors. Read on AO3
For @nate-karasuwolf
First time writing for DMBJ, hope you like it. 🥰🥰
- - - - -
Zhang Qiling never had the patience for metaphors. In his experience, people more often used flowery language to conceal the truth than speak it, and proverbs and word play were too much like riddles. He despised those, an odd sentiment given his profession, but then again, he’d had his fair share of riddles and mysteries to last him a lifetime.

Q: Shu, if little Zhang Qiling was in a tomb one second and transmigrated into his Yucun self the next second with his feet in the same foot bath as Wu Xie’s, what would his first sentence be?
A: A demon!

Q: I will watch Zang Hai Hua for you… Don’t stop answering, okay…
A: I’m still persevering.

Q: A-Bing, did you know that Zang Hai Hua will stop updating for 3 days? Do you still want your Heat Index or not! (T/N: Heat Index is the ranking/ trending-ness of a drama.)
A: I’m not the boss. It’s not my decision to make!

Q: Hello, Xu-laoshi. Since you said that you won’t be writing “Yucun Biji” anymore (If there’s going to be 9 more Yucun Biji published, then you don’t have to read this post because Yucun Biji is my favorite out of the entire series), can I beg you for an Altay Biji? I wish to see the Iron Triangle’s nomadic life: Menyouping riding a motorcycle to Ürümqi to buy stuff (could also go from a summer ranch to some village). Wu Xie would be in charge of raising cats and dogs and chickens and goats and cows. Pangzi would be in charge of steaming lamb and barbecuing lamb chop. When they don’t want to herd the animals anymore, they can plant sunflowers. Wu Xie can use his architectural talents and build underground houses and learn a few Kazakh words…
A: I’ve been to Altay. The life there is like the original series and not Yucun.

Q: Laoshi, Sir, Genius Writer, do you know how amazing the Flowery Night you wrote is? How did you do it? Are you Team Experience or Team Imagination? Has a beautiful god descended in the middle of the night and kissed the keyboard you wrote Flowery Night on?
A: Those who understand Flowery Night are experts.
1553 Q: I just took a nap and Shu got online. With the drama updates on hold for three days, will you chat with us for three days?
A: On and off, I guess. I’m deathly busy. I want to cry.

Q: Sanshu, Sanshu, what is the one thing that Xie Yuchen and Hei Xiazi did that angered the other the most? Please tell me.
A: That would be enough for ten books.

Q: Would there be one day where the Iron Triangle gets poisoned after eating some unknown mushrooms?
A: It would if Xiaoge isn’t around.

Q: Shu, would there be updates for Queen’s Banquet? Approximately when would the updates start? Wu Xie is about to go moldy being stuck in that hole.
A: Soon. I need to pick a good desk.

Q: Sanshu, Sanshu, does Wu Xie have any children appropriate de-stressing methods? The kind that can be broadcasted.
A: Standing in the rain?

Q: The cat didn’t survive but if the cat did survive, would Xiaohua keep it? Or would he give it to Xiazi to raise?
A: Xiaohua wouldn’t interfere with the cat’s karma.

Q: Shu, I really went to Louwailou to eat their West Lake Vinegar Fish during 817. The taste was unforgettable… The restaurant was full of Daomis. Do you have anything you would like to say to the Daomis who have been violently beaten up by the Vinegar Fish?
A: I’ve heard that every fish that was made into a Vinegar Fish has died in vain?

Q: No updates for three days, you could say that this is a version of Three Days in Silence.
A: You sure know how to meme…
and here's part two if today's double update! we've caught up to 3rd September now! hooray! and this is 120 posts (less than 120 questions)... theres... an amount to go... but! whittling! making progress! yay!
