On today’s short hike we couldn’t leave until late today. Since we have been “letting go” for sometime now each time I put the laundry away I have been eliminating extra clothing and items that just have been no longer needed. Today alone we were able to empty two dressers in Colby’s room, and several more bags of clothing. Hike early this morning since somehow I managed to over sleep and missed my morning time and have been playing catch up all day. I asked Ledger yesterday while we were with the goats yesterday if you wanted to get a Peach 🍑 Nehi and he said yes with a big smile. I then found out from his momma Auntie Tara sends them. Well when my oldest kids were little it was our treat to go get a Peach Nehi from the French fry store, or William Umphlett’s or a Jungle Juice from Sextons. We also got a cookie with pink frosting and hard cheese. I can still remember all of drinking their Peach Nehi’s. So I thought these boys would enjoy 😉 one too. Did they everrrr!!! We walked around the Millpond while enjoying that sweet nectar. The French fry store only had peach fantas but it was all good!! This afternoon right before the storm cane we went to see the turtles and splash rocks and hopefully catch bugs. Saw several different bugs and heard many birds. It was a very relaxing peaceful time and the boys enjoyed being at the edge of the pond and listening to the frogs and birds. After the millpond we worked outside and Bruce got on his bobcat which Ledger has wanted to ride since he got here and finally got the chance. Bruce cleaned up some of the fallen trees yesterday from some of those fast storms.
