Merielle seems like an intimidating person at first, actually she is a socially anxious but well-mannered girl, though she is easy-going around acquaintances.

She inherited her mother's natural elegant as well as her father's determination.

Because of the past, Merielle lack self-confidence in front people, and worry she doesn't do perfect.

[Background]

Merielle is the youngest daughter in the Riverie family. They lives in City of Justice at the City of Peace. She has six older sisters, whom watches over their spouses' land.

As a member of the Riverie family, Merielle could not resist following in her family's footsteps towards her own destiny; becoming a righteous judge on the coast. As a child, she had been studying alone in her room.

Ever since her family has pure bloodline to the nobles, Merielle not only self-study, but also learn to become proper maiden under her etiquette teacher's guide.

The teacher criticizing her when Merielle didn't do proper, she took away her individual belongings and imposed a strict eight o'clock bedtime for her. Over the years, Merielle grown up as a teenage girl. She still manipulated by her teacher, even penalized strictly. She couldn't feel better anymore and hope for let her free. Later, Meirelle was accepted to Noble Bell College.

Etymology

Merielle - A feminine name of Irish origin that means "sea nymph." A variation of the more common Meriel, Merielle is composed of two Celtic elements- mer, meaning "sea," and eriel, meaning "nymph." Alternatively, in Gaelic traditions, this name translates to "shining sea." Both interpretations have connotations of natural beauty, wonder, and a deep connection to the earth, making Merielle the perfect option for an ethereal little one.

Daphne - A feminine given name of Greek origin meaning laurel. It originates from Greek mythology, where Daphne (Greek: Δάφνη) was a naiad, a variety of female nymph associated with fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of freshwater.

Even so, she inherited the mermaid blood of her ancestors. Merielle could not turn her legs into a fish tail, but she could breathe underwater.

According to Riverie family tradition, girls should get married when they reach puberty. But Merielle did not do so because of health problems.
