Meridiana (or Meri, for short) Is naturally shy and kind of awkward, as she grew up in a literal nunnery. She likes to draw and paint and does so often. Her religion is a massive source of comfort to her, and she might spend a hour praying every day. Meri’s ability to degrade man made objects can be controlled by a collar similar to one reality benders might wear, and she can control what plants grow where. 

In interacting with other humanoid scps, she is kind, if a bit timid. TJs (590) unofficial babysitter and Iris’s (105) best friend. (Iris has a crush on her, but she is oblivious) Between her abilities to grow plants and her biblical knowledge and faith, she is the only one who can mediate Able and Cain in the unfortunate incident that they interact. She pities Able, and is friends with Cain, after she got over her initial fear of meeting who she believes to be the first murderer. Cain thinks that she could reverse his curse, but will not ask her to do so, as if she could that would prove she’s more powerful than a curse put by God.

Meri doesn’t blame her father for killing her mother. When she was 17 she got nightmares of a dark figure detailing her ability to end the world in service of the Scarlet King. They eventually stopped after Meri decided to confront the figure. This was the only time ever she told anyone to ‘go to hell’ She was able to connect the dots with the letter she got, and refuses to tell anyone about her dreams. After this incident, Meridiana started working to control her abilities more, to prevent doing anything she would regret. 

Meridiana adores her father unconditionally, and Clef adores her right back. The 05s approved an hour and a half of interaction every day, and junior staffers know that if you want an experiment approved, go to Clef right after that time. Meri and TJ have been branded ‘nepo babies’ by other anomalies, but she doesn’t mind.

absolutely an extrovert. you can often find her in the cafe chatting with someone she just met

favorite realm is daylight prairie. favorite places to hang out are aviary village and the repository of refuge

she wears the headphones because they're pretty, but they can also serve as a way of showing when she wants some alone time (she doesn't actually listen to any music)

aspiring pianist and photographer

loves to help with shard eruptions and actually enjoys going to eden (mostly because she likes going to orbit)

can be a bit too trusting

if water magic was a thing she would be GREAT at it

sucks at combat but could beat you in a shouting match

slightly obsessed with learning the history behind eden and the king. it's almost a hyperfixation at this point

favorite elder is a tie between lamed and samekh. she thinks samekh are fun but loves talking to lamed about the past

I'm just an artist/animator that streams myself doing weird stuff in Half-Life and getting scared of games I've already finished many times over. My avatar is a bunch of gifs strung together in VeadoTube Mini, and I'm still reeling from a disastrous hard drive accident from a year ago that made me lose all my art. \(TmT)

The story of The Object on the Meridian represents the isolation and loneliness I've felt for a lot of my life. Meridian herself is basically me trying to stand out in spite of it.

Still, I've somewhat resigned myself to the fact that I'll probably fade into obscurity. But with a world so saturated with exceptional people, it feels less like I'm screaming into the void, and more like I'm whispering at a rock concert. °u°

Hey so I have an AU where Meri grew up in the Montauk house. I was thinking about writing it but I dunno, it might be a bit disturbing (considering we do have to deal with…the mom) what do you think? Feel free to ignore I know this is a weird ask

Write it. Give her more trauma than she already has. She finally gets to see her dad on a regular basis and understand what her mom is but it's worse than if she was in containment. You have the power to write and the idea. All that needs to be done is write it down. If you ever feel uncomfortable, you can stop. The power is yours.
