What's your life's masterpiece? What's your proudest achievement?⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ These guys. My baby twin girls ❤️👯‍♀️❤️⁠ ⁠⠀ [scroll for feeding time!] 👶🏻🍼👶🏻🍼⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Like any mum, I adore my 3 girls: my twins and my elder daughter⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ But unlike most mums, my journey to creating my family was an extreme adventure in visualisation and action - and I'm still amazed that I pulled it off!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ These little cuties were born after I lost my womb to an emergency hysterectomy after giving birth to my first baby⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It took 7 years, hundreds of hours of research, an audacious plan, money manifestation, many tearful conversations, several trans-atlantic flights, a lot of IVF and a generous angel surrogate mum - together with a sprinkling of magic⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ There were so many times when it looked like we were at a dead end, no idea what to do next. And each time I took another step forward, and found the way to overcome all the challenges⁠ ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ - that's why I KNOW that taking action works, even when you don't know HOW it will unfold....⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Whenever I worry that my business won't be all that I dream, I look at these guys. So many opportunities open up to us when we stop wishing and start doing. Yes it’s great to have a dream, a wish, a plan but sometimes the most fulfilling moments are those spontaneous actions. Those one step in front of another messy actions. This weekend for me has been filled with so much fulfilment and non of it was planned much in advance because we didn’t know if we would be allowed. But I’ve seen friends in gardens, swam in the river & topped up the kids wellbeing mug too with an egg hunt at grandmas, a dip in the pool as we were filling it and a play around in a friend’s garden. The sunshine & a little gin was a bonus too. But most of this was spare of the min action. Sometimes lovely friend it’s the only way! What's your purpose? I'm curious.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I may be going through a mid-life crisis, or maybe it's a COVID-inspired introspection.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Either way, the idea of purpose has come up a lot for me over the last few months⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It falls into two areas...⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 1) Purpose as a soul⁠⠀ We are all spiritual beings and have lessons to learn whilst here on earth. Loving-kindness, understanding and generosity are the goals for us all, but we have our unique journeys to get there. I am beginning to understand what I must overcome to be a better person, and that is the first step (do you want me to tell you what they are?!!)⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ 2) Purpose in work⁠⠀ I am finally synergising what brings meaning in my life with the work that I do, and it's lighting me up and creating the space for a level of relief that I hadn't experienced before. Coaching soulful women who want more from their lives via their work is a calling for me, and I'm blessed to have found a path to follow which I am so certain of⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ What does purpose in your life look like? I love a bit of messy action. When I was younger or even into my adulthood if I jumped into something new or started a new project or job I’d get called reckless. Which I think has made me a bit hesitant in sometimes to start things without full on planning. But starting where you are. Taking one foot and putting in front of another is better than standing still isn’t it? Even those household tasks can be dealt with one messy action at a time. Yes I love a bit of planning - it uncluttered my brain when I’m feeling overwhelmed but rather than a full blown project planning session I find a having a 5, 10, 15 min brain dump with a cuppa then putting that foot in front of the other is truly the best way forward.
