Alya sighed as she uploaded the final video.

'It's done.'

She had finally released all the evidence she had on Layla 'Lila' Rossi. The former journalist had posted a new blog, titled: Dreams Shattered by a Liar

Lila sighed as she looked at her phone on her lunch break. It was taking a lot longer to save up for her move to Gotham. She had finally gotten her rent and bills taken care of. Now, she was saving every cent she could so she could be reunited with Adrien. It took her by surprise to see her name trending yet again. She couldn't help, but feel the rise of hope in her chest.

'Maybe Gabriel realized he made a mistake! I still can't believe he replaced me with that goth girl who always had her face covered!'

It didn't take long for her to see her name wasn't the only one trending. #lilarossi #adrienagreste #gabrielagreste #marinettewayne #surrogatebaby #liarmodel was everywhere. Lila quickly clicked on her name to see it linked to a blog. The moment she saw it said Alya; she knew she was screwed. There was pictures of her conversation and a video of how she reacted to being fired. She quickly realized it was filled with the lies she had told since college. She couldn't believe Alya had turned on her. The more she read, she realized it was all because her phone had been disconnected the day she was fired. Lila sank against the wall in shock. This was going to cause some problems with getting Adrien to her side.

My name is Alya Cesaire and it was always my dream to be a journalist. I had no idea my dream would be shattered by someone who had become my best friend. Some of you may recognize my name. I was the one who wrote the article of the 'Agreste-Wayne secret affair'.

LILA: Alya! I just found out that Adrien is cheating on me!

ALYA: What? Are you sure?

LILA: I heard him on the phone at our shoot! He's cheating on me with Marinette! I thought- I thought she was married. How could they do this to me? I thought when she left Paris, all those years ago, that would be the end of her bullying me!

LILA: I've been crying all day! I could barely hold it in during the shoot. I know we're hiding our relationship from Gabriel and the press, but I never thought this would happen!

ALYA: I'm sure he regrets it. You'll see. He was probably ending it with her.

LILA: The cheating isn't the worst of it! She's pregnant with his child! I heard them! He asked how his child was! How could he turn his back on me?

ALYA: Are you serious? She's married and has two kids already!

LILA: What if they are all Adrien's kids? Maybe they just look like her. Isn't it possible they just have Adrien's eyes? How long have they been sleeping together? How long as she been pulling this off? Her poor husband!

ALYA: What if this child has blonde hair like Adrien? She's been lucky so far, if that's the case!

It was this entire conversation that spurred me to print the article in the first place. I only wanted to defend my friend and call out the people who hurt her the most or so I thought. The next day I was fired. I was shown several articles about Marinette and Damian Wayne agreeing to surrogacy for Adrien Agreste. All families stated there was nothing going on between the two friends.

It had been so believable to me. Anyone who interacted with the pair, in the past, knew that Marinette had a crush on the model. It wasn't until later that Layla 'Lila' Rossi entered the picture. She claimed to have this amazing life. None of us thought otherwise, except Marinette. There were so many amazing people in class: Adrien Agreste, Chloe Bourgious, Juleka Couffaine, Nino Lahiffe, Nathaniel Krutzberg, and now Marinette Wayne. Another name added to the list; we never thought anything of it.

Lila was quick to claim that Marinette was bullying her over her feelings for Adrien Agreste and how he paid more attention to her. Looking back, Ms. Rossi missed so many days of school. She claimed to be apart of various charities and organizations. Lila also claimed to have many disabilites. I believed she did all these amazing things that I betrayed someone I had been close to. They called Lila a liar. They told me they had proof, but Lila was always quick to turn it in her favor; it made it seem like my friend was the liar. It got to the point where I decided not to be friends with them anymore because I believe Lila Rossi. I should have listened to them. One thing I remember saying, was to always look for proof. Here I am, ten years later, crying in my hands, with all the proof that I made the wrong choice. It took awhile, but I was able to make an appointment to visit and interview Gabriel Agreste.

ALYA: Thank you for taking time to see me, Mr. Agreste. I'm sorry for what I did a couple months ago.

[Gabriel nods]

ALYA: I showed you my phone, that had evidence of a conversation between myself and Miss Rossi. Can you perhaps inform me on how you were able to quickly take control of my mistake: the article which I stated Adrien Agreste, your son, was having an affair with Marinette Wayne.

GABRIEL: It was quite simple. Myself, Adrien, the Waynes, and the Dupain-Chengs were to only ones to know of the child. When the article was release, I asked Adrien if he told anyone else about his child. He immediately named Miss Rossi.

GABRIEL: She likely contacted you after overhearing a private conversation between them, about the baby. It was after the article that I decided to terminate her contract, sooner then expected.

ALYA: You fired her because of my article?

[Gabriel nods]

GABRIEL: It was in her contract not to speak about anything dealing with my or Adrien's personal life. As she gave out personal information, her contract was terminated immediatley. Miss Rossi was quick to defend herself by saying it was impossible for me to fire her. She claimed to be the new face of my company, since Adrien was leaving.

GABRIEL: It was then that I informed her that I had been searching to replace her. It was Adrien's suggestion to bring in Juleka Couffaine. Adrien informed me she desired to be a model.

[Alya smiles]

ALYA: I remember. She was much more soft-spoken and shy. I'm happy to see how far she's come since college. It did come as a bit of a shock when I found out about her being your new model, but I think I was still processing the truth about Lila.

ALYA: I-I tried calling her to let her I got fired. She never answered so I decided to go to her home; one that she had previously pointed out. She told me her mother didn't like visitors. Turns out, she never lived there. An elderly couple did and had lived there for years.

I dug through every video, social media post, notebook, anything I had since I was fourteen years old. I spent the last couple months looking every story she told me. I spent hours, upon hours, staring at my screen until I saw pixels. I spent days and nights reading over how wrong I was to believe in Layla Rossi. I was recently prescribed with medication to help with my nightmares that consist of myself and the person I use to be. I turned my back on myself and I will always regret I can never be who fourteen year old me wanted me to be.
