i just remembered in like 2020 when the broke uraraka jokes on tiktok started getting big people were making fun of her phone, and i was like "awww wait no what if her parents focused their money for other things she needs, like tutors or her education or hobbies and she decided shed rather have a shitty phone, like we dont rlly know :(" but then this morning i was scrolling thru tiktok and it reminded me that bnha takes place over a hundred years in the future. this is so odd to me bc i remember in 5th grade i got my first phone which was ALSO a flip phone, mind you this was 8-9 years ago, and i specifically remember seeing the price for that, which was literally a dollar a month.. in 7th grade i got my first smart phone which was a samsung for $12 a month and later an iphone se (which they dont even MAKE anymore) for $15 a month, now the thing w phones is the longer theyre out the cheaper they are, when the iphone x came out it was over a thousand dollars, now most places only sell them for $200, in one hundred years these phones are going to be shits you can only find on the fucking dark web or some shit for like one cent a month like HOW FUCKING STINGY IS THIS WOMANS PARENTS😭
