Behind Your Touch Episode 16: Han Ji Min & Lee Min Ki Solve the Mystery and Find Love
Tumblr media
Behind Your Touch Episode 16 was the finale of the popular JTBC drama that starred Han Ji Min, Lee Min Ki, and Suho. The series combined comedy, thriller, and fantasy elements to tell the story of a psychic veterinarian and a hot-blooded detective who teamed up to solve crimes in a small town. The last episode wrapped up the main plot and gave a satisfying ending to the characters and their relationships.
The Culprit and His Motive
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) The mystery behind the serial murders in Mujin was finally revealed in Behind Your Touch Episode 16. The culprit was none other than Park Jong Bae (Park Hyuk Kwon), the shaman who had been helping the police with his fake psychic abilities. He was actually a psychopath who enjoyed killing people and animals for fun. He had been using Bong Ye Bun’s (Han Ji Min) power to read the memories of his victims and manipulate them. He also had a personal motive for his crimes. He blamed Moon Jang Yeol (Lee Min Ki) for the death of his son, who was killed by a car accident while Jang Yeol was chasing a suspect. He wanted to make Jang Yeol suffer by killing his friends and colleagues, such as Cha Ju Man (Lee Seung Joon), Jung Eui Hwan (Yang Jae Seong), and Kim Seon Woo (Suho). He also kidnapped Bae Ok Hee (Joo Min Kyung), Ye Buns best friend, and tried to kill her.
The Final Showdown
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) Ye Bun and Jang Yeol managed to track down Jong Bae and rescue Ok Hee in Behind Your Touch Episode 16. They also confronted him about his crimes and his motive. Jong Bae admitted that he was the killer and that he enjoyed playing with their lives. He also revealed that he had killed Seon Woo, who was Ye Bun’s crush and Jang Yeol’s suspect. Jong Bae then tried to escape by stabbing random people on the street, but Ye Bun used her power to locate him. She bravely faced him and held him at knifepoint, demanding him to surrender. Jang Yeol arrived soon after and shot Jong Bae in the leg, arresting him for good.
The Happy Ending
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC Official Instagram) After solving the case, Ye Bun and Jang Yeol returned to their normal lives in Mujin. They also confessed their feelings for each other and started dating. They had a cute and sweet relationship, despite their different personalities and lifestyles. They also continued to work together on minor cases, using Ye Bun’s power and Jang Yeol’s skills. They became a famous duo in Mujin, earning the respect and admiration of the people. The other characters also had their happy endings in Behind Your Touch Episode 16. Ok Hee recovered from her trauma and became more confident and cheerful. She also opened her own hair salon with the help of her friends. Won Jong Mook (Kim Hee Won) and Jung Hyeon Ok (Park Sung Yeon) got married and rekindled their love. Na Mi Ran (Jung Yi Rang) divorced her cheating husband and found a new love interest. Bae Deok Hee (Jo Min Guk) became a successful detective and moved to Seoul. The finale episode ended with a humorous scene of Ye Bun and Jang Yeol running away from a group of angry female prisoners, whom Ye Bun had read their memories for Jang Yeol’s investigation.
The Netizens’ Reactions
Tumblr media
(Photo : JTBC) The viewers of Behind Your Touch Episode 16 were satisfied with the finale and praised the cast and crew for their excellent work. They also expressed their love for the drama and its unique genre mix. Here are some of their comments: - “This drama was so fun and refreshing. I loved the chemistry between Han Ji Min and Lee Min Ki. They were so cute together.” - “I’m glad they caught the killer and revealed his motive. He was so creepy and evil. I felt sorry for Suho’s character though. He deserved better.” - “This drama made me laugh, cry, and feel excited. It was a perfect balance of comedy, thriller, and fantasy. I’m going to miss it so much.” - “Han Ji Min is such a versatile actress. She can do any genre and role. She was so charming as Ye Bun. Lee Min Ki was also amazing as Jang Yeol. He was so handsome and charismatic.” - “This drama was one of the best this year. It had a great story, cast, OST, cinematography, etc. It deserves more recognition and ratings.” What did you think of Behind Your Touch Episode 16? Did you enjoy the finale? Song Hye Kyo se quita los guantes para vengarse de Lim Ji Yeon con Lee Do Hyun en teaser y pósters de “The Glory Part 2”.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Unlock my Boss / Unlock the CEO (2022-23)
Tumblr media
I enjoyed this, though it's not really that deep. A well written corporate thriller with a bonkers premise — the "missing" CEO isn't just kidnapped, he's also trapped in a phone!
What Worked
What made this work is the characters. The protagonists were flawed and easy to relate to and cheer for. The villains were greedy, unscrupulous and believably bad. And for most of it, you didn't know who to trust, including the voice of the trapped CEO pulling the strings!
What Didn't Work
The plot was very convoluted at times and there were times when the obstacles being thrown at them don't make sense. Also, the way these obstacles got resolved seemed a little too convenient. I also got annoyed with some of the PPE, but that's how this goes sometimes.
The Performances
Chae Jong-hyeop as "the jobseeker" Park In-seong. This guy was fun to watch, and pretty much carried the show. It was great to watch someone who is completely out of their depth, but is fighting to stay positive throughout.
Seo Eun-soo as "the secretary" Jung Se-yeon. The character was meant to be a stoic (who eventually opens up when she meets the right people). Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between a stoic and an actor who is a little too wooden. Overall, I liked the portrayal and enjoyed cheering for Jung Se-yeon, but I didn't miss her much when she was off-screen.
Park Sung-woong as "trapped CEO" Kim Seon-joo. Lots of good voice acting, and you spend so much time thinking about this voice in the phone being the character that when you finally see the actor on screen, it's almost a shock. Overall a good performance.
Kim Sung-oh as "baby loanshark" Ma-pi. I liked what they did with this character overall, and the actor did a good job of playing the heavy.
Ki So-yu as "the adorable daughter" Kim Min-ah. Child actors are usually hit or miss in kdrama-land, but this was a noteworthy performance from someone so young. There were a number of times when she outacted the grownups.
Lee Sang-hee as "evil lady executive" Oh Mi-ran. I think the writers made her plotline and arc a little confusing, but I completely understood the motivations behind all of it, and the actor did a great job making the character believably bad.
Jung Dong-hwan as "evil old man executive" Oh Young-geun. I disliked this guy, even when he ended up being slightly less evil than the other executives. Kind of wished he'd gotten more comeuppance, but I guess that just means the actor did a great job.
The parents. It felt like these characters were off on their own planet at times. I liked the scenes with Park In-seong, but the rest of it was hit or miss for me.
The henchmen. The action scenes were good. The henchies were a little interchangeable at times, but the actors did a good job overall with making them punch-ably bad.
Everyone else. The best friend (Yoon Byung-hee as Jung Hyeon-ho) was fun to watch though like the parents he was kind of on his own planet. The other people were pretty forgettable.
TL; DR:
This was a fun show with good characters and some decent performances. If you're looking for something new, this is definitely worth a look.

I can’t understand why they left out two of his best roles! Shopaholic Louis, A/K/A Shopping King Louis! In this rom-COM, he plays an amnesiac chaebol, who’s not only GOOD at shopping—he’s the KING! Anyway, he was amazingly adorable, astoundingly funny, but intermittently touching and sweet. Co-stars Nam Ji-Hyun. Don’t miss it. On Viki
And…
With a very honorable mention to Café Minamdang! On Netflix
The Smile has Left Your Eyes is really great, too, but extremely sad. Suspenseful, sometimes depressing, but highly entertaining and displays Seo In-guk in all his best, most glorious displays of acting talent and beauty. But, he NEVER disappoints. Also starring Park Sung-woong and Jung So-min.

The Blood Crisis
The Blood Crisis (Korean: 혤액위기) is a term the Ancient House of Jeong gave to for a succession crisis in the family due to the lack of a male heir among his grandchildren
50-year old Lord Jeong Ju-won, the patriarch of the Jeong family and the 17th Count of Jeong, He had two granddaughters born to his eldest son but no grandson.
The Jeong family were a patriarchal noble family where only men could be head of the family.
His eldest son and only daughter had been disowned due to coming out as homosexual and his daughter for running off then marrying a Kantonian man when they were 18 and 21 respectively.
He eventually proposed a proposal for his three sons Ji-woon, In-su and Yong-il, who were 25, 21 and 14 after his second eldest granddaughter Na-ri was born, the first son who gave his family a male heir would be granted the title of the 18th Count of Jeong and the grandson the 19th Count of Jeong.
This resulted in competition between the two eldest sons then Yong-il when married Lady Choi Eun-min, 32nd Countess of Choi as a suggestion between both their fathers and as a sign of friendship.
Five years later into the crisis, Lady Kim Hwa-young had a daughter named Jeong Yo-jong, out of fury, Jeong Ji-woon, the second eldest son divorced his wife in a fit of fury, he kept the baby Yo-jong and kicked his wife and his two older daughters out, then divorced her
A year later, 20-year old Yong-il, the youngest son and his wife Choi Eun-min gave birth to their daughter, Lady Jeong Mi-hee, Yong-il was highly disappointed by her birth and refused to hold her.
In-su and his wife also had a daughter named Seo-yeon around the same time as his younger brother had Mi-hee, like him he was also disappointed.
There wouldn’t be another birth until On-jo later fell pregnant with a son, tragically the boy named Jeong Dae-hyeon was stillborn, In-su in a fit of rage blamed his wife and 5 1/2 year old daughter, he divorced and disowned them.
Tragically, Mi-hee died at the age of 7 from a brain tumor, her death devastated her mother and her maternal grandfather, Lord Choi Dae-su, who later became senile after she died.
Both In-su and Ji-woon never remarried after disowning their daughters and divorcing their wives.
Lady Choi Eun-min eventually fell pregnant and gave birth to a son two years after her daughter’s demise, the family rejoiced at the birth of a grandson, the first boy born into the family other than the stillborn Dae-hyeon in more than nearly three decades.
Mark’s birth ended the crisis after 15 years but it caused a lot of travesty in the family, especially due to the disownment of two wives and their daughters, Eun-min’s mental health suffering a downward spiral after the death of Mi-hee two years prior to Mark’s birth.
29-year old Yong-il was eventually declared “Lord Jeong Yong-il, 18th Count of Jeong” and the newborn Mark “Lord Jeong Ma-keu, 19th Count of Jeong” by his father and grandfather.
In later life, Ju-won began to regret making his sons compete for 15 years and the harm he did to his daughters-in-law and granddaughters, aswell as the disownment of his eldest son and only daughter, aswell as Mark having a poor life due to Yong-il being strict with the boy and his betrothment to Lady Park Sang-jo who ended up severely abusing Mark and the lack of consideration he had for the grief stricken Eun-min and Dae-su, the former of which had postpartum depression after Mark’s birth.
Mark, Ju-won’s grandson who was born which put at end to the Blood Crisis stated despite having fond memories of Ju-won, he absolutely resented him for letting his desire for a grandson go above everything.

1998.09 Junior Magazine - NRG article
Tumblr media
COMEBACK STORY / Starting their race to the top
N.R.G - Three reasons why the five rascals' comeback is fair
A star in the sky? Ha ha, there's no way that can shine brighter than our eyes. A child of seven years old, the cutest but most mischievous age? No way they'll be more of a rascal than us.
Wearing those pajamas was a little embarrassing, but look at how we've changed. Nice, isn't it? We've got some dandy clothes this time around, feel free to await. We'll wear our cool new clothes and run so fast our friends won't even see us. Wanna run with us? So fast that it'll make you feel refreshed, that is. Coverage: Jeon Eun-ju / Photography: Hyeon Jun
NRG, the cute pajama men, have come back with their fiery 2nd album. Huh? Didn't they say they were taking a break? No way~ Are you really a star-loving reader of Junior? Well, to be fair, they'd only stopped showing their faces for not even two months—you're right to ask. The clear thing is that these pajama men possess a voracity rivaling a rascal's spirit.
You know, how hard must have they prepared to return with a pumping sound more extravagant than their debut, mesmerizingly cool dances, and clothes as flashy as the heroes in sci-fi comics? They used to be just so cute, but now they're so cool they'll make your heart flutter. Let's hear everything about NRG's 2nd album from the guys themselves.
The first reason NRG's comeback is fair
First off, NRG's 2nd album is titled Race. The genre of this album is hi-NRG[1], the same as their debut. You say nothing's changed? No, no, don't jump to conclusions. Does anyone remember the last interview NRG did with us? The boys clearly said that they wouldn't return unless their second album wasn't better than the first. Because of that, fans are expecting lots for this comeback.
In the 2nd album, Race, NRG have strengthened their music to what one can call "power hi-NRG", and have also thrown genres like ballads and funky hip-hop into the mix, so fans can choose from a diverse range of styles. Aha! Almost forgot about the title track. The title song, "Making Love", is a hi-NRG song that fully displays NRG's individual style. The strong sounds and fast beats carrying the track from the intro is the highlight. As a side-note, the choreography was made by Slam, who've lately been giving R.ef fantastic performances. There's also "Messenger", a funky hip-hop track where you can hear the group's unique rapping skills. Aside from that, "Flight No.817" and "Dream" are sweet, soft ballads in which the electric violins harmonize well with the tracks—one can see a never-before-heard side of NRG's musical world.
The second reason NRG's comeback is fair
One of the most eye-catching changes following NRG's comeback is their flashy clothes. Their outfits, which look like something straight out of a teen sci-fi comic, are adapted from drawstring pants, and the stylist says they've borrowed a lot from the styles of designers Hong Mi-hwa and Yohji Yamamoto. So, what are the key points where NRG have changed this comeback? Let's not just say they've gotten cooler, but listen to what the stylist has to say.
This comeback's key fashion points, according to lead stylist Park Jeong-nyeo
Hair: The most noticeable of changes is the members' hair. Except for Sungjin, the self-proclaimed "intellect," it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say their hair was taken from the pages of a comic book. The base motif champions not masculinity or femininity, but a unisex style. For Sunghoon, his hair was based on the main character of Chon Kye-young's manhwa Audition. On Myunghoon's head is a silver band that gives off a futuristic feeling while avoiding monotony—it's similar to Sailor Moon, which aired on TV not so long ago. Luckily, since Myunghoon's pretty, he pulls it off well. The other two, Yoomin and Hwansung, are trying out a style that's currently trendy overseas. To achieve a unisex look, they wore their hair slightly longer, accenting it with wire headbands.
Fashion: Unlike the group's first album, where pastel colors were used to give a cute and cozy feel, this album's fashion uses neutral colors like white, black, and gray, giving a sexy feel. If primary colors were to be used, it would be a "deep color" like a dark rose. It's said that overseas this style is called "cutie sexy." Like, cute but strong, you know. So, on stage they won't be smiling like they used to, but instead keep a straight face whenever they can to fit the concept.
Accessories: Since the clothes are strongly unisex, the stylists try to avoid accessorizing. When they do use accessories, the stylists make them the focus with big shapes. They never use earrings and instead opt for necklaces and bracelets, all in silver or platinum to create a cool, sexy look.
The third reason NRG's comeback is fair
How much time does it take to make an album? It depends on the singer's capability and the producers' level of preparation, but usually it takes around 6 months to slightly over a year. But NRG's second album was born in a mere 2 months—one could call it a super-speed album. To NRG's loving fans, it's great to see them so quickly, but like how rice only burns when cooked over high heat, there's still a little bit of worrying to be had. We asked Sungjin, the leader of the group, about these concerns.
Junior: There are concerns that your new album was made too quickly.
- I know. On the surface it seems like a short time, but in reality it took longer. We've been working on it since our debut last December. Not only have we been overseeing the production, but we've also put a lot of work into choosing the songs. I think our 2nd album will be as big a hit as the first one.
Some people say we haven't changed a bit since debut, but that's because they don't know. Since our music is in the genre of hi-NRG, our songs will naturally be structured similarly. That's why we spend a lot of time on our appearance and choreography.
Junior: Did any of the members change between comebacks?
- Not really. We're all on vacation, but that's it. It won't be long until school starts again, though... Since the gap between promotions wasn't that long, we didn't have time to do anything but change our concept. Almost all of our time was spent going from the studio to the office and back to home. And we usually don't leave the studio until the night.
Junior: What do the fans think about the 2nd album?
- Mostly positively. Some people think that the album was produced in too short of a time, but that'll go away after a while. In fact, there were so many good songs on the album that it was hard to choose the title track. And the fans say that we've become cooler.
Junior: Is there anything you regret about the album?
- Any singer will say the same, but it has to be our voices. It's pretty obvious that even the best songs won't shine without good vocals backing them up. And one thing I want to say is that a song isn't less complete even if it was made quickly. Some hit songs were pored over by many musicians for a long time, but sometimes big hits are born out of momentary inspiration. I think the effort put into a song matters more than the time in which it was made.
Junior: Haven't the group scaled down their activities?
- There are fewer stages for singers to perform because of the Asian financial crisis, but I think if we remember that we are singers for our fans and do our best with the opportunities we are given, we can do as good a job as before. Just like how our album's concept is "Race", we'll do our best and race to match fans' expectations.
Junior: Do you know what fans want from NRG?
- Of course. I think I know what fans want more than anything else. We, too, were once envious fans before we became stars, so it makes no sense for us not to know. I think of celebrities more as normal people than public figures, so I still have my fair share of singers I like. That's how I don't get too self-centered or egoistic. We can't put out an album if we don't know what fans want. Occasionally, we can't contact or accompany our fans as much as they wish, but I hope they know we think about what would make them happy too.
Junior: What did you think when you ended promotions for your 1st album?
- When we ended our 1st album promotions, the other members and I made a harsh resolution. More than anything, our first round of activities left a lot to be desired, and so we resolved to do things well by ourselves. Of course, it's easier said than done, but we're trying to unify and play out promotions for our 2nd album nicely.

Translator's notes (marked with small-script numbers in the text)
Hi-NRG, in this case, refers to not the disco offshoot that first showed up in the late 70s, but an alternative term for what is usually called Eurobeat. Eurobeat is partly derived from Hi-NRG and is sometimes referred to by the name—for example, take the Eurobeat compilation series Maharaja Night - Hi-NRG Revolution.

The Interest of Love
Tumblr media
Han Sang Su and Ah Su Yeong had feelings for each other but they carried a baggage that made it difficult for them to be honest about their feelings. Park Mi Kyeong and Jeong Jong Hyeon became the means in which Sang Su and Su Yeong tried to move on, but that didn't work for either of them. And what happens next? Hearts broken.
This series touches topics about how beautiful women are treated by male supervisors and coworkers. Ah Su Yeong silently puts up with the harassment, and the gossip of coworkers. Damned if she takes it and damned when she reports the treatment. She is gossiped about, people treat her as if she were easy and people get offended when she fights back or a friend of hers defend her.
Ah Su Yeong is not a character I could connect with. I felt bad for her situation but she also frustrated me because of the decisions she made. She provoked the misunderstandings with her actions. She wanted people to be clear with her but she never was with others. She hated her father because she believed him to be the reason why her younger brother died years ago, and when she learns that it had been her mother, she just apologizes to her father but never confronts her mother, who never took the time to clarify the situation to her daughter.
Park Mi Kyeong at some point annoyed me because she made the decision to accept Sang Su's 1% and then complained about it. She knew he wasn't in love, he was honest and asked if she was okay with that. She wasn't because he never fell in love with her. And instead of letting him go, she humiliated herself by holding on to him.
Jeong Jong Hyeon also annoyed me at some point. . . Even so, the series gives them good endings. Jeong Jong Hyeon made his dream come true and became a policeman. Park Mi Kyeong got over Sang Su and kept working. . . Other people's relationships evolved, others ended the series the same way they were before. . . And Sang Su and Su Yeong seem to be in the process of giving it a try. Yes, this series ends with an open ending.
It was okay, although it was exasperating at times. It's a bit slow in some parts, but it's an entertaining series.
