Dragonball 30 Day Challenge: Day 25: Favorite Inventions
Dragonball has no shortage of inventions. One thing I love about this series is that you can have a family trading and making a living off the land just as much as a one making a living off technology. They aren’t mutually exclusive which I love.
As for my favorite? Well as much as people love the Time Machine I tend to be neutral to it. It’s a fun design and is a great plot device but time travel in my opinion is hard to get right. Dragonball does it pretty well all things considered.

Then we have things like the gravity room which is one of my favorite elements of the Saiyans training but it’s really pretty limited. Humans can really utilize it beyond 300g. Though it IS a fun element in my fanfictions sometimes.

Then there’s inventions that people have forgotten about like Bulma’s shrinking watch from the the early days. Can’t say there’s much use for it but it is fun and the fact Bulma made it when she was a teenager is pretty cool.

Bulma / Dragon Ball
Bulma first appears as a teenager, using the Dragon Radar, a fictional device she created to detect the energy signal emitted by Dragon Balls. She is led to Goku's location by the signal emitted by the four-star ball in his possession, and ends up recruiting him as a bodyguard while hoping to get his four-star ball to grant her wish for a boyfriend. She gives up on the wish after meeting Yamcha, and much later in the series, she ends up forming a relationship with Vegeta. Bulma has also assumed the role of inventor, and has consistently provided critical tech support to Goku and his friends with their battles against various enemies and threats throughout the series. Some of her notable innovations include a microband that could make her shrink, and a time machine that brought her son from an alternate future timeline, Trunks, to the past on multiple occasions.

El Ultimo Máximo Local del Pleistoceno para la Cueva de Coxcatlán es congruente con los Restos de Fauna associada en esos Niveles.
Adicionalmente, Flannery (1966:802, 1967:158) notó una gran Cantidad de Huesos de Patas de Liebre (Lepus sp.), los excavaron de un solo Cuadrado de 1 × 1 mts en el Depósito del AJuereado Temprano, sugirieron que ellos representaban los Restos carneados de Liebres adquiridas en excursiones de Caza. Con Presencia de Huesos rotos y evidencia de Alteración termal a los Huesos, Flannery sugirió que habían sido procesados por Humanos.

Se ha usado AMS = Accelerator Mass Spectrometry para obtener las Edades del Ajuereado temprano y nos da un Período antes del Ultimo Maximo Glacial  (33,448–28,279 cal BP) y estas Fechas son similares a las producidas por la temprana Ocupación de la Cueva Chiquihuite en México Norte Central (Ardelean et al. 2020).
Están cuestionando mucho las Identidades de las Piedras que encontramos como Puntas Líticas Paleoindias, porque lo tradicional es creer que la Llegada de los Nativos Americanos no fue tan temprana. Aceptamos que las Herramientas si son muy primitivas  y poco trabajadas ( no son sofisticadas como las hermosas Clovis que son como hechas por Genios de la Ingeniería ). Admitimos que las Puntas si son cuestionables.
Pero de todos Modos, los Restos de Fauna si parecen haber sido procesados por Humanos. Las Herramientas líticas son de Pedernal no obenible en la Cueva. Las Herramientas exhiben retoques. Todo parece proporcionar soporte a la Noción de que la Cueva Coxcatlán fue ocupada por Paleoindios durante la Fase de Ajuereado temprano y antes del Ultimo Maximo Global. 
Las Edades producidas por el RadioCarbono en este Estudio obligan a una cuidadosa Reconsideración de los Materiales recuperados en estas Zonas, incluída una cercana y fuerte Inspección de las Herramientas golpeadas y devastadas para que sean cortantes y que se analice mas el Material de Fauna, para ver como se quebron los Huesos, las Marcas de Corte de la Carne, y las Alteraciones termales, para ver si se sometieron a Fuego.

Los estudios arqueológicos en la Cueva Coxcatlán en el Valle de Tehuacán en el sur de Puebla, México, han sido fundamentales para el desarrollo de la cronología de la región y para nuestra comprensión de los orígenes de la agricultura del Nuevo Mundo.
Este estudio tiene como objetivo refinar la cronología precerámica del Valle de Tehuacán, presentando 14 nuevas edades de radiocarbono por AMS en muestras de huesos de fauna recuperadas de los primeros niveles de depósito de la cueva.
Mientras que los huesos de las zonas de las fases El Riego (9893–7838 BP), Coxcatlán (7838–6375 cal BP), y Abejas (6375–4545 cal BP) de la cueva, produjeron edades similares a estudios previos, los huesos de las zonas de la fase Ajuereado, en la base de la cueva, arrojaron edades sorprendentemente antiguas que van desde 33,448 a 28,279 cal BP, una época anterior al Último Máximo Glacial.

New AMS Radiocarbon Ages from the Preceramic Levels of Coxcatlan Cave, Puebla, Mexico: A Pleistocene Occupation of the Tehuacan Valley?

Early Ajuereado zones from which we obtained radiocarbon ages (XXVI and XXV) were described as representing possible wet-season or spring microband encampments. Zone XXVI was a “whitish-to-yellowish” sediment layer composed of loose, fine flakes of rock with a width of approximately 1 m at its thickest (Fowler and MacNeish 1972:229, 236). In total, 616 individual faunal bone specimens, three chipped-stone artifacts (Table 3), and eight stone flakes were recovered from within this zone. Zone XXV was similarly described as containing loose, yellowish laminated rock deposit, but varying to a reddish color in areas, which Fowler and MacNeish (1972:237) suggest may have resulted from burning. Other oxidizing processes, however, cannot be ruled out. This zone reached approximately 0.75 m at its thickest (Fowler and MacNeish 1972:229) and contained 391 identifiable faunal bone specimens (Table 2), 10 chipped-stone artifacts, and 44 stone flakes (Johnson and MacNeish 1972:238).

Currently, the best—though still contested—evidence for pre-Clovis occupations in Mexico comes from three sites: (1) the Rancho La Amapola site at Cedral, San Luis Potosí; (2) the Santa Isabel Iztapan II mammoth kill site near Mexico City; and (3) Chiquihuite Cave in northern Zacatecas. Research at the Rancho La Amapola site produced radiocarbon ages from charcoal sampled from hearths ranging from approximately 45,000–25,000 calibrated radiocarbon years BP (Mirambell 1994:239). These were found associated with a chipped-stone discoidal scraper and Pleistocene faunal bones, including a broken and utilized horse tibia (Lorenzo and Mirambell 1986b; Mirambell 1994).

Finally, chipped-stone artifacts from recent excavations at Chiquihuite Cave site in Zacatecas were associated with optically stimulated luminescence and radiocarbon ages ranging from approximately 33,000 to 31,400 cal BP (Ardelean et al. 2020). Although our new radiocarbon ages from the Late Ajuereado zones of Coxcatlan Cave remain only tentatively associated with human activities, they join this list of potential pre-Clovis sites from Mexico.

Conclusions This article presented 14 new AMS radiocarbon ages from faunal remains excavated from the Preceramic levels of Coxcatlan Cave in the Tehuacan Valley. Our results refine the timing of the Archaic period chronological phases (El Riego, Coxcatlan, and Abejas) by using radiocarbon data to construct a Bayesian multiphase model. Although the Archaic period chronology presented here is generally similar to that originally proposed by the TABP (Johnson and MacNeish 1972), the AMS radiocarbon ages from the Early Ajuereado zones date to a period just before the Last Glacial Maximum (33,448–28,279 cal BP) and are similar to those produced from the early occupation of Chiquihuite Cave in north-central Mexico (Ardelean et al. 2020). Because many of the stone tools associated with these early levels are only minimally worked and the antiquity of the ages places these stratigraphic layers many thousands of years before traditional hypotheses posit the arrival of humans in North America, the identity of these objects as tools remains questionable. Nevertheless, the observations that the faunal remains appear to have been processed by humans, that the stone tools are made from flint, and that several stone tools exhibit retouching provide support for the notion of a pre-LGM occupation of Coxcatlan Cave during the Early Ajuereado phase. The radiocarbon ages produced from this study mandate a careful reconsideration of the materials recovered from these zones, including a close inspection of the chipped-stone tools and an analysis of faunal material to document breakage patterns, cut marks, and thermal alterations. The results of this study and those of future reanalyses have important implications for our understanding of several important issues in the archaeology of the New World, including the peopling of the Americas, the timing and causes of the megafaunal extinctions, and the origins of agriculture.

An unexpected discovery by an Iowa State University researcher suggests that the first humans may have arrived in North America more than 30,000 years ago -- nearly 20,000 years earlier than originally thought.
Andrew Somerville, an assistant professor of anthropology in world languages and cultures, says he and his colleagues made the discovery while studying the origins of agriculture in the Tehuacan Valley in Mexico. As part of that work, they wanted to establish a date for the earliest human occupation of the Coxcatlan Cave in the valley, so they obtained radiocarbon dates for several rabbit and deer bones that were collected from the cave in the 1960s as part of the Tehuacan Archaeological-Botanical Project. The dates for the bones suddenly took Somerville and his colleagues in a different direction with their work.
The date ranges for the bone samples from the base of the cave ranged from 33,448 to 28,279 years old. The results are published in the academic journal Latin American Antiquity. Somerville says even though previous studies had not dated items from the bottom of the cave, he was not expecting such old ages. The findings add to the debate over a long-standing theory that the first humans crossed the Bering Land Bridge into the Americas 13,000 years ago.

Hi everyone,
Wow, what a great 3 quarters!
We’ve done 5 shows so far this year. 2 of these have been DJ gigs and 3 of these have been live performances (as the Paulo Sinski Microband).  I’ve personally also put out 2 mixes this year.
4 out of 5 of those shows have been independently organized and promoted by myself - I started with an idea and I found venues in Toronto, curated a lineup, staffed and handled the financing of the event solo.  And obviously I’ve had a lot of help, from my bandmates to the other artists I’ve booked to venue owners to my friends and family.

These numbers reflect a big leap in creative output for me, compared to the past 4 years where I did almost nothing other than woodshopping (getting good at stuff).
I’m 25.  I love the band.  I wanna play a few more times before the year ends so we can keep getting better at what we do.  
We’ve got a music video on the way soon and we’re writing new material.
So here’s to another 3 quarters!
