Midzel Week day 2: tender

Hey so just popping in after missing day 1 lmao but I did a midzel week last year and it was quite fun so I wanted to do it again!

Coming in a little bit later than I would have liked to, but the themes for Midzel Week 2020 are finally here!  This week is a little bit different from the Midlink Week that I hosted earlier this year; rather than come up with my own themes, these are themes were created by the former host of Midzel Week, which last had an attempt at a run in 2017.  Unfortunately, no one participated that year, and as such, these wonderful themes went unused.  And so, here’s my way of honoring the previous host by attempting to rectify that!

The week will run from October 17th through October 23rd, and naturally will be a celebration of the relationship our two princesses share.  Again, I did not come up with these themes, but I do think they’re lovely, and I’m eager to see what everyone will come up with:

DAY 1: Symbols (Saturday, October 17th)

DAY 2: Storms (Sunday, October 18th)

DAY 3: Flowers (Monday, October 19th)

DAY 4: Chains (Tuesday, October 20th)

DAY 5: Laughter (Wednesday, October 21st)

DAY 6: Birds (Thursday, October 22nd)

DAY 7: Freedom (Friday, October 23rd)

And here’s just a couple of things to keep in mind, for those who’d like to participate:

Make sure you use the hashtag #midzelweek (no spaces) in the first five tags of anything you post, so I and everyone else can see your entries!  I’ll reblog everything I can, but if for whatever reason you’re afraid I won’t see something you post, you are more than welcome to @ this blog, too.

You can create absolutely anything you like, whether it be art, writing, graphics, music, etc. - I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ve got to offer!

The themes are only there as a very loose guide, to inspire those who may need inspiration or to provide a challenge for those who may want it. Don’t stress too much about explicitly following each theme, don’t feel pressured to participate each day, and don’t worry if you post something a little late - I’ll keep following the tag even after the week is over!

This event is also being hosted over on my Twitter account (link in my bio), so if you have one of those and want to cross-post what you make, use the tag and feel free to @ me there, as well.

I wrote this for the first day of Midzel Week 2021 with the promts "mirror, parallels, reflections". I really love this event, so I just wanted to say thank you to the blog behind it, midzelevent, for organising it! I doubt that I will have enough time and energy to create more for this event than this one fanfic, but I love the event!
