eri had been so isolated during her stay in the underground, she simply didn’t understand the awe of the man before her. izuku had chattered endlessly about the former number one hero -- all might. maybe her upbringing had caused her to not care so much about heroes ( her father said they were nothing, but a sickness. )

gold eyes nervously darted up from beneath her mess of opalescent strands, hesitating in her coloring as she tried to cast glances up that he wouldn’t notice. it was hard, considering it was just the two of them in the lounge. he was her caretaker for the day, which she didn’t mind -- she just didn’t really know him as a person. she had only heard the gushing praise from everyone else.

   This song and dance was one she'd been forced to learn the steps of at a very young age. When the whole world wanted you dead, it took every ounce of skill you had and then some to survive. Thus, when the Historian came to Japan searching for remnants of her people's work that had been scattered about the globe, it was to be expected that the authorities would catch wind of her arrival and start a nation wide man hunt. 

   'Devil Child' She was called; And perhaps that could be considered her villain name, though she never claimed to be such.But then again, when everyone believes your very existence is a sin, one can hardly convince them of something they believe so fervently. 

   To escape them would be easy, she'd done so many times before, and as she slipped through alleyways and backstreets as they gave chase, she figured she wouldn't even have to use her ability to get away when they couldn't even come close enough to touch her. 

                  The one thing she didn't expect, however, was a Hero joining the hunt. 

   As she turned a corner, the Devil Child known as Nico Robin would pause a moment to catch her breath, leaning back against the wall as she considered her next move, chest rising and falling steadily. 

   She had to stay in this country until she was sure not a trace of Oharan research was to be found, and until then she'd certainly need a place to stay. . . Perhaps there was a run down district somewhere where she could take residence for the time being until she could move on.And as her mind turned with plans and ideas, Robin reached up to run a hand through raven hair tiredly, listening and searching for the sound of her pursuers coming closer before she had to set off again. What a pain. . . 

                  But it would all be worth it once she found what she was looking for.

       ah there it is, that grin of pure evil. when her eyes caught sight of the puddle ahead of them they lit up! her intentions were clear; therefore, without any warning himiko pulled her hand out of her fathers grasp and charged full speed ahead and leaped into the puddle with a SPLASH!

They’d done it. They’d actually managed to capture All Might, and Kirishima can’t being himself to feel any joy over it. No, he can’t shake the dread that’s settled in his chest. He didn’t imagine, didn’t realize, that it would it was possible, that the League could accomplish something like this.

But the proof is right here, right in front of him, contained in a cell he’s meant to be watching. Which is funny, considering he can’t even look at its occupant in the eye. He’s afraid of what he might see, in the number one hero’s expression. 

And god, what does that mean for the future, for heroes, if All Might were to fall like this? What kind of city would it be, if the League ran supreme? He’s got no place to be thinking about things like this considering the kind of person he is (and imagine what would happen to him if Shigaraki got even a hint that he’d been thinking of shit like this), and yet, and yet--

It’s not nobility, or any kind of bravery, that brings him forward, fingers curling around one of the cell bars. Nah, he’s just plain scared. This is a way out.

“--I can get you out of here. But. Only if you agree to take me with you.” Somehow, his voice doesn’t shake, despite how quickly his heart is beating against his ribs.
