Since my post about my MikeJay fic actually got some likes (seriously, thank you) I thought I would post a little snippet because why the fuck not. Enjoy! 🥰

The first fat drops of rain hit Mike’s skin as he crosses the threshold of the porch. He barely registers the chilled air, only the sight of Jay, standing in the middle of the yard, arms wrapped around himself like he’s holding his ribs in place.

“Jay!” Mike calls over the wind.

Jay turns. His hair clings to his forehead, soaked through, his shirt plastered to his chest. Rain glistens on his skin, his lashes, his jaw, his collarbone. Trails of water run down his face like something cruel and poetic. Jays eyes are blazing now, not with grief, but fury. Controlled, tightly wound fury that Mike’s seen a thousand times behind the camera but never directed at him.

Jay steps forward with that same intense energy Mike’s only ever seen in the midst of heated arguments or after too many drinks. A show of dominance. A warning. And for one awful second, Mike braces for the worst. He gulps. His whole body goes taut.

Jay is going to punch him.

Mikejay Fic

Y'all, for the past like 3 months I have been working on a mikejay fic and I know that's a long time but like I'm not really a writer and I wanted to make sure this thing was good. Its a small ass fandom and I don't want to disappoint. Its not ground breaking or new, in fact I took all the fanfic tropes that I've read over the past 28 years and compiled them into this but it is almost 7,000 words and sexy as hell. Hopefully I will be satisfied with it enough to post it on ao3 by the end of the week/beginning of net week.

I know I've never mentioned anything about this till now but I wasn't sure this would go anywhere or if I would even like it enough to post so I decided not to say anything till I was nearing the finish line. Plus I felt like mentioning it would some how jinx it. If that makes any sense.

*edit* my insomnia has caused me to mix up my days. I honestly thought it was earlier in the week than it actually was (wtf Friday!) So, hopefully I will get it posted by the end of next week.
