Die liebe @writingowl1985 hat mich markiert
(I was tagged to)
Share the first lines of ten of your most recent fanfics and tag ten people. If you have written less than ten, don’t be shy and share anyway.
Well, wie bei my beloved „Partner In Crime“ @anotherobsessedfangirl, ist es ein kunterbuntes Medley.
So, get ready for hell of a ride:
Fandom 1: Tatort/Polizeiruf 110
Give Me a Drink (2023, unpublished)
Fandom 2: Unter Uns (Ringsy)
(Same story. Different chapter.)
So viel dazu.
(So much for that. My currently obsession is SPN and 9-1-1. So if you ain't tired yet and consider my writing as acceptable, you are happily invited to read on.)
Hugs and kisses for all!
Fandom 4: Supernatural (Destiel)
This little piece was a present for my dear @bexfangirlforlife. It deals with Dean's (quite miserable) handling of Cass' self-sacrifice in season 15.
Burned To Ashes. Just The Way You Want Me To (2023)
It's been a week since The Empty took Castiel away from him. A week, where Dean's heart keeps beating. He hates every second of it. He tries to numb the pain, but no matter how many bottles of bourbon he empties, his mind is stuck on goddamn replay.
But there’s one thing she’s afraid of. There’s one thing strong enough to stop her.
Dean clenches his jaw, blinking up to the ceiling. His gaze is blurred, his eyes burn and Dean doesn’t know whether from tears or whiskey. It doesn't matter anyway.
Fandom 5: 9-1-1 LA (Buddie)
I just love Buck's and Eddie's dynamics, platonically or not. Imo, their friendship is at least an example for how non-toxic masculinity and friendship can develop.
An Unexpected Visit (2023)
Eddie doesn’t notice the pick-up or the estate car parked across the street from his house. After that hell shift, he can only think of shower, Buck's six-cheese lasagna, and an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender with Christopher. “Hey, you two,” he shouts, his head not quite through the door, “there better be some food ready. I’m starving.”
And last but not least, a story, whose title is from a 'Radio Company's' song. Who's surprised? Me neither.
Ain’t No Telling Why (2023)
Ramón Diaz sits on the porch behind his house, listening to one of Eddie's bizarre anecdotes. “As Buck just said, their skin was literally blue,” Eddie’s voice crackled over the speaker of Ramón’s cell phone, which is set upside down on the coffee table next to him. “A real-life Smurf, so to say,” Buck interjects, his words accompanied by the chopping sound of a knife.
Next if you like @gosherlocked and everyone who wants to bc I'm an introvert and all people I talk to were already tagged 🙈💕

Myst 3 intro music
Tumblr media
MYST 3 INTRO MUSIC MOVIE
:)įor Overgrowth, we are doing our best to meet the requirements set by the changes in plans for the game content. Or you could try playing Radar Rat Race for few hours in a row with volume turned on (remember to keep your Valiums near!). I'm sure you have all experienced almost unbearable frustration with games, trying to jump over an impossible gap or trying to kill an undefeatable boss for half a day, and the same background music with annoying melody is still playing there, tripling the frustration. Its purpose is to make the immersion whole, and I think neutrality in music (which is mostly done by careful use of melodies and instruments/sounds) is a key element for making this immersion durable. The function of in-game music is quite similar to underscore music used in movies - it's background music, a supporting moodsetter which shouldn't override any other element shown/heard in the picture (exceptions are there for applying various effects). I think the most successful in-game music is the kind you don't notice consciously. Hopefully this will also create a need for new kind of audio tools to create even more elastic game music as I believe there are still lots of things to improve in audio interaction. I'm not a good predictor of the future, but I can sense that the experiments in gaming will drastically change during the next decade. In linear entertainment (movies and tv-shows) there has never been any option for it: all the innovations have been purely done with the use of music, and tricks are getting short. There are multiple ways to control music to change with a player's actions during the game and some of them require more inventiveness from composers, but I believe the real innovations lies in the hands of audio programmers. Interactivity in music is a collaboration of audio creation and programming. To create a working and seamless interactive soundtrack one has to adapt an ability to see things in a non-linear way.
MYST 3 INTRO MUSIC MOVIE
Growing budgets in the game business have opened a door for using live orchestras (if one can afford it) and even some of the top movie composers have shown interest in interactive markets (Elfman, Greggson-Williams, Badalamenti to name a few). In my opinion we have been on par with movie industry for years. It's not a matter of computing power anymore, it's the budget - both developers' and consumers' wallet - which decides how good the music will sound through gamers' speaker systems. Technology is still an obstacle for getting the most out of games, but I think audiowise we already have all the technology that is needed for creating "high-end" soundtracks. Games are now a huge consumer of people's time - some of us spend more time playing games than doing anything else (even sleeping). I want to share some of my thoughts about music in games. You can listen to some of the Overgrowth music on the Overgrowth ModDB Page. Microsoft/Xbox: p6pqlfp9bn0?activetab=pivot:overviewtab …This post is by Mikko Tarmia who is working on the music for Overgrowth.Like never before you can now be a part of the surrealistic adventure that will become your world! Eye of Melian is the brainchild of Dutch songwriter and producer Martijn Westerholt, known for Delain and Within Temptation. As the main songwriter of the metal band Delain, Martijn wanted an outlet to create lush orchestral fantasy music. In 2017, he teamed up with American lyricist Robin La Joy, a life-long fantasy enthusiast who spends much of her time immersed in books, particularly the works of Tolkien. Their mutual passion for fantasy-inspired music led them to the creation of Eye of Melian.
Eye of Melian’s ethereal and symphonic music has been described as movie score-like - unfolding epic and elegant storyscapes in the listener’s mind. Successful Finnish solo artist Johanna Kurkela’s angelic voice quickens the fantasy to full life. She is also known for her work in Auri, Altamullan Road, and Tuomas Holopainen’s album “Music Inspired by the Life and Times of Scrooge."
Also contributing to the project is Finnish orchestral arranger and producer Mikko P. Mustonen who has worked on many successful releases in various genres. It is his incredible talent in classical arranging that adds the final magical touch to the music.
The EoM crew - Martijn the heartbeat, Robin the soul, Johanna the voice, and Mikko the skeleton - aim to craft music which takes the listener away to sojourn dreamy landscapes and other-worldly realms. Their debut album is expected to be released in 2022 with the first single in fall of 2021.
The following excerpt from one of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien imaginatively and beautifully embodies the essence and spirit of what the music of Eye of Melian aspires to be.
“Melian was a Maia, of the race of the Valar. She dwelt in the gardens of Lórien, and among all his people there were none more beautiful than Melian, nor more wise, nor more skilled in songs of enchantment. It is told that the Valar would leave their works, and the birds of Valinor their mirth, that the bells of Valmar were silent and the fountains ceased to flow, when at the mingling of the lights Melian sang in Lórien. Nightingales went always with her, and she taught them their song; and she loved the deep shadows of the great trees. She was akin before the World was made to Yavanna herself; and in that time when the Quendi awoke beside the waters of Cuiviénen she departed from Valinor and came to the Hither Lands, and there she filled the silence of Middle-earth before the dawn with her voice and the voices of her birds.”

Art into Culture: Becoming one with Nature
Art is something that has existed throughout the timeline of history of mankind. It showed records of how civilizations and phenomenons have shaped our current lives. In this case, the Philippines is rich in this kind of context wherein there are even works that are debatable and currently under investigation for further research.
Philippines is home to different kinds of beliefs particularly Philippine Mythology. Each region has its own kind, as each deities resemble something in nature--an honor to the oldest religion of the country which was “animism”. They became a part of fad lately in the field of Philippine art, amateur artists and art students posting their works about them online starting from digital art, to the traditional one which is from sketch, or even in themes in literature (an inspiration for other Asian works that once a fad turning into a trend) that was inspired by the rise of historical genre in the country.
A great example in this field is Mr. Abdulmari Asia Imao, one of the National Artist in the country. He is deeply anchored in his tradition, an exemplar Filipino artist and should be an inspiration to all creative Filipinos, particularly those engaged in cultural work. He also stated that because of his deep roots, he was able to give our art a very much distinct and very much needed Filipino face that we really needed in our generation today especially when it comes to a form of art. The use of Sarimanok as a motif for some of his artworks helped popularize the creature. With his knowledge about culture and with his own experience, he created an artwork where it promotes the connection of Filipino-muslim art. And with this creation, he made the Filipino culture bloom and be developed. He made the filipino art more competitive and more interesting as he was able to promote and made a move for the filipino art to be known worldwide. He made it more ineteresting by putting his consciousness into it and made it meaningful.

(One of the Sarimanok painting of Imao)
He had definitely promoted the values of community, service, and work. Upon seeing his works, not only this is to express his own ideas about his culture, he has shown the main essence of it particularly the Sarimanok- nature. It is a form of calling in which we must have an insight of what we have ever since, The effect of westernization has great impacted most of us, making us lose the identity of who we are and the events that lead to the present.
Another example for this is one of the works of the members, a watercolor artwork by Jerilyn Cruz. She expressed that nature is not just simply about the literally green environment, but it can also be a human nature wise.
Tumblr media
(photo and artwork by Jerilyn Cruz)
“Nature more than just the environment. Nature could also be human nature- connecting towards your identity. The Sarimanok is a mythological creature that came from Mindanao, so it can be said that the Sarimanok is deeply ingrained in the identity of Maranao. It became a symbolism for multiple things. Community stems from a human being social beings, naturally enjoying the company and looking for a companion. With this, being in a community is part of human nature. Appreciating art is also within the human nature-the preference for beauty and being drawn toward aesthetics. My artwork clashes with the rich artwork of the Sarimanok. My artwork depicts the community’s suffering under the past years. The killings and self-righteousness of bad men have plagued the country. This can be a parallel towards expressing beauty and the good things. The artwork expresses sadness and hope for the current times, in the community. - Jerilyn Cruz”
The final point of this is that, nature is a part of culture as stated from the title itself. It is a part of the identity that builds up who we are today, hence making us value and treasure each resources that we are still having as of today, for it may fade once we decided to leave it behind or forget to leave it in the past.

Two years ago, I decided to start working on my original comic Heights!, and I have had a blast with it ever since. I’ve also gained quite a lot of knowledge and experience thanks to it, both as a writer and as an artist. Which in turn helped me acquire the insight that, if I wanted to finish the comic in a reasonable amount of time, I would have to short it down.
Originally in the making of Heights!, I had planned the main story as well as a couple of side stories, and I have now, thanks to my work on the comic, realized that I need to cut out the side stories and focus all of my attention solely on the main story. Which of course meant that I had to start over completely since the structure of the story as a whole needed to be changed from scratch.
Since the day I decided to pick up the pen and get serious with my passion I’ve improved a bunch, and I’m now confident that there will be no more rebooting of Mikko’s adventure. This time I’m going into it as a way more experienced and prepared individual, who’s well aware of how much time and work that goes into comic creation. Especially as an indie creator who has to manage school and/or a paying job before he can make time for drawing.
Also, for those of you that might have followed my work on Heights!. To you, I apologize. But this is simply a necessary step on the stairways of my art journey. ;)
So with that said… Here’s the result of my recent realization, as well as the new beginning of Mikko’s story. I present to you my new original comic: Ex-Bound!

About Revenue Coin
Revenue Coin is an ERC-20 token, an integral part of the Revenue Capital ecosystem which supports young, promising companies by distributing funds and ensuring access to a shared customer base. The Revenue Coin tokenomics stimulates the growing demand for $RVC tokens over time.
Growth factors
Wondering how the value o $RVC keeps rising?
$RVC is a deflationary token with fixed total quantity in a smart contract. This means RVC supply decreases over time due to buyback and burning of tokens with the revenues of companies in the Revenue ecosystem
Currently, Exeria and SkyRocket, i.e. companies from Revenue Capital, generate their revenues by providing solutions for investors to trade via API. These revenues depend on the volume of trading on the exchanges.
Why is RevCoin Unique?
Revenue Capital (business accelerator) accumulates the funds of a blockchain community to seize a market opportunity at the right time and to extensively stimulate the funding of value creators and projects that, according to experts and communities, deserve global, marketing, and financial success. This action is possible at the stage of the commercialization of ready-made products or undertakings, and it aims to increase the number of clients and increase sales revenue. Creators and their projects, once recapitalized, allocate part of their revenues to increase the value of the token by buying and burning it, which translates into the profit of the investor’s community. Revenue Capital ensures technological cooperation, settlement, acquisition of tokens, liquidity, and presence on the exchange as a system operator.
How does a token work?
Revenue Coin (RevCoin) is a revenue token. In buying RevCoins, you acquire the right to part of the company’s revenue. The settlement between the enterprise – the issuer of tokens – takes place by buying and burning tokens. This directly drives the increase in the value of other RevCoins. This is similar to the mentioned above share buyback mechanism, where the decreasing number of shares increases the price.
Tumblr media
The community buys Revenue Coins : Blockchain technology allows reducing costs and formalities related to the purchase of tokens. Transaction security is ensured by the RVC smart contract, which has been audited by external companies.
The capital goes to young companies : Projects earmarked for funding are selected by the community and Revenue Capital experts. Companies agree to transfer part of future revenue for the purchase and burning of Revenue Coins.
Companies grow and their revenues increase : By providing funding and know-how, companies’ revenues increases and part of them goes back to the Revenue Capital ecosystem. Currently, there are two profitable companies in the ecosystem: Exeria and SkyRocket.
Tokens purchases from the market : Revenues received from companies as part of the ecosystem are used for the systematic buyback and burning of tokens. This reduces their supply on the market while increasing their value, generating profits for Revenue Coin holders.

DELAIN Mastermind MARTIJN WESTERHOLT Teams Up With AURI's JOHANNA KURKELA In EYE OF MELIAN
Tumblr media
EYE OF MELIAN is the brainchild of Dutch songwriter and producer Martijn Westerholt, known for DELAIN and WITHIN TEMPTATION. As the main songwriter of the metal band DELAIN, Martijn wanted an outlet to create lush orchestral fantasy music. In 2017, he teamed up with American lyricist Robin La Joy, a life-long fantasy enthusiast who spends much of her time immersed in books, particularly the works of Tolkien. Their mutual passion for fantasy-inspired music led them to the creation of EYE OF MELIAN.
EYE OF MELIAN's ethereal and symphonic music has been described as movie score-like — unfolding epic and elegant storyscapes in the listener's mind. Successful Finnish solo artist Johanna Kurkela's angelic voice quickens the fantasy to full life. She is also known for her work in AURI, ALTAMULLAN ROAD and her husband Tuomas Holopainen's (NIGHTWISH) album "Music Inspired By The Life And Times Of Scrooge". Also contributing to the project is Finnish orchestral arranger and producer Mikko P. Mustonen who has worked on many successful releases in various genres. It is his incredible talent in classical arranging that adds the final magical touch to the music.
The EYE OF MELIAN crew — Martijn the heartbeat, Robin the soul, Johanna the voice, and Mikko the skeleton — aim to craft music which takes the listener away to sojourn dreamy landscapes and otherworldly realms. Their debut album is expected to be released in 2022, with the first single now available for streaming below. Guest musicians on EYE OF MELIAN's debut album include multi-instrumentalist Troy Donockley (NIGHTWISH, AURI) on pipes and flutes and Celtic metal artist Leah with her signature ethereal vocals.
EYE OF MELIAN said: "We are EYE OF MELIAN, comprised of a Fellowship of four different people from three different countries — The Netherlands, United States, and Finland. All four of us are life-long, nerdy fantasy fans and share a passion for ethereal and symphonic music. So we have had an incredibly exciting experience setting out on this journey to create fantasy-inspired music to share with all you kindred spirits out there.
"In the meantime… here are some facts about us: We are independent music (no record label is calling the shots) and because of this, we rely heavily on people sharing our music with others (hint, hint); our music is crafted to sound like it came right out of a fantasy movie score; our lyrics contain poetic fantasy/Tolkien-type themes (though not ALWAYS direct Tolkien references…there are definitely some though!"

Paper Wave
The original idea behind the Finnish design firm, Woodnotes, was to combine artistic creativity with inspiration from two basic Finnish materials: wood and paper. All of the products by Woodnotes utilize paper yarn that is spun from durable kraft paper. The amount of paper used in the textile varies between 70–100%, with cotton as the secondary fiber. Although the product line has grown over the years to include furniture, home accessories, carpets, blinds, partitions, and upholstery fabric, Woodnotes still holds true to its original idea of creating products from paper yarn.
Woodnotes was founded by Ritva and Mikko Puotila in 1987. Ritva is a noted Finnish textile artist who has received numerous awards for her work as designer and textile artist. Prior to co-founding Woodnotes, she worked as a textile designer for Tampella, then the largest linen manufacturer in Finland. Tampella also manufactured paper yarn for insulating cables, which was where Ritva learned the various technical and visual aspects of paper yarn.
Paper has been used in textile making for centuries—most notably in Japan as part of the kimono tradition and in the creation of textiles by NUNO and other contemporary designers. Woodnotes textiles, on the other hand, are significant in the quantity and durability of paper used to ultimately create an “everyday” beauty for the home expressed through a clarity of form, technique, and material.

SuuM Returns With An Epic Doom Masterpiece
~Doomed & Stoned Debuts~
Review by Billy Goate
Tumblr media
The other night, I woke from a nightmare and ended up listening to the first album by Italian doomers SUUM. 'Buried Into The Grave' (2018) came out during a crowded time for new releases, many of which were from established bands. It was not a good year for such a newcomer to get noticed, yet thankfully plenty of my fellow critics did and the band ended up signing with Seeing Red Records for a second helping. One thing that struck me was just how much the Roman heavies sounded like they were singing in a massive tube of skull-filled catacombs underneath the city. The effect laying in the dark at 2 am was quite spooky and conjured more familiar Western images of ghouls in fog-clad graveyards.
Tumblr media
As promising as that first effort was, SuuM's second album is stronger yet still. Perhaps they've become more comfortable in their own skin, Mark Wolf (vox), Painkiller (guitar), Joe Grave (bass), and Fed Kemper (drums) having had time to gel as a team. There may have been some line-up changes since the first album and following the second, but I'm unclear as to how the band has settled now (at least for their live performances). What I can say is that everyone sounds in top form on 'Cryptomass' (2020), absolutely in tune with the medium (whereas on the first album, it felt a bit more hit and miss for me).
I read some criticism on another well-known metal blog about Mark Wolf's vocals, but I love them. They're not over the top, like so many operatic epic doom singers tend to be. Perhaps you might be better off comparing them with Mikko Kääriäinen of Cardinals Folly or Dmitry Tkachuk of Weird Tales in their '80s Gothic sensibility than to Johan Längquist of Candlemass and Scott Reagers of Saint Vitus, though admittedly there are moments that rise to the height of the latter. Hell, even fellow Italian Paul Chain is worthy of comparison to Mark Wolf, though Mark seems to have a bit more of that animal ́ 'oomph" than Paul.
Compositionally, the first three songs of Crytomass really flowed together for me and it created a most dark, potent atmosphere. Perhaps it was the fade out in "Creatures of the Vault" that broke the spell for me. In my mind, SuuM could have kept going and made one long, grand ritual, but then I'm sure that might have led to listening fatigue for some. Every album needs a sense of pacing and the somber, downcast haze of "Funeral Circle" gives it to us. I'm usually not a fan of guitar solos in epic doom, but the oh so plaintive expression in Painkiller's lead at the five minute mark really got to me. Genuinely sad and genuine is not something that is achieved often enough in heavy music.
Today, Doomed & Stoned is giving you a first listen to the album Crytomass in its entirety, releasing February 14th via Seeing Red Records on digital and compact disc formats (pre-order here). There's plenty more to be discovered on this nine-track wonder (don't miss "The Failure of Creation," my personal favorite), so get ready and...
...give ear.
