𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲. ✨ 17 hour yoga teacher training weekends means an espresso shot☕️, a scoop of collagen for an extra protein boost💪🏼, and the whole instead of half the banana🍌in my @arbonne protein shake🍫! I’m only half way through my yoga teacher training and thanks to @gingerboermeester and @rootsyogaburlington I’ve already learned more than I ever thought I would about 𝘮𝘺 body and 𝘵𝘩𝘦 body in general. I have to say that paying extra attention to my protein going into these weekends has started to make all the difference in my stamina and focus! (The espresso helps too of course!😝). There’s no way torturing our tastebuds will make us feel “WELL”, am I right???🤷🏻♀️ I’m all for nutrient packed foods, especially when I was at the peak of my GI problems, but I’m not willing to give up eating yummy options as a trade in for “wellness”. 💪🏼 @imbuilt bars are my new favorite quick and easy, protein on the go! Your tastebuds will be SHOCKED that a protein bar could be so good🙃 I’ve said this before and I’ll say it a million times over, tracking food and macros is not for everyone, and often times it’s not for me either— but every once in a while, in order to get back in tune with my body, I am more mindful about my macros in order to remember how my peak energy feels. We get so used to being “tired” (one of the most subjective words ever) that it becomes our new normal. “Good nutrition ISN’T rigid, restrictive, or complicated.” —The Joy of Eating⠀ ✨⠀ Recently, I started to pay more attention to the nutrients in my food, not obsessively counting but being more #mindful of my macros. Rather than focus on my weight or body as a measurement of success, I’m focusing on my energy level and how I feel overall in order to continue to eat more intuitively. ☕️⠀ Protein is always the biggest one for me to make sure I get enough of... it is so much more important for our bodies than we realize and makes such a difference in your strength, energy, and abilities throughout the day! Everyone knows I’m ALL ABOUT THE COFFEE! My favorite way to sneak in extra protein is adding @vitalproteins to my cup of coffee, adding 18g in just the 2 scoops I added to my beverage! (Also awesome in yogurt!!😍).
