I don’t know how many people have ever picked up on it or used it, but I have over 2000 posts on this blog now and around 75% of that are fics (the rest are textposts and whatnot.) I am working on making a dedicated page with all my tags (and I tag a lot of the fics I reblog by kink/type of content as well) BUT I have mostly finished up putting together a list of tags by group and member within my most-reblogged groups (which is just based on what content I see, not what I like.) THEREFORE, if anyone is looking for sub!idol content of a certain group or idol, this is probably the best place to start looking. These are just in order of how many fics are in each tag in descending order. I figured since I was tagging it anyway, I may as well put this together and share it. Enjoy!

Stubborn With The Weather

Johnny and Mark are stubborn about Winter temperatures

It was early January and the members of NCT were getting ready to film for a variety show. They didn’t really know what was planned, just that the filming was going to be outside.

“How cold is it outside?” One of the members could be heard asking amongst the chaos that was the 127 dorm “It’s negative five degrees out, so we should all bundle up.” replied Taeyong. This caused the members of 127 dorm to all start grabbing their winter gear (minus Mark and Donghyuck, who are with Dream this morning and will meet up at the film site). It took another another half hour before the members were finally ready to leave. 

The members of the 127 dorm were the last ones to arrive. The members of the Wayv and Dream dorm were already present, beginning to get their hair and makeup done. Once everyone was ready, all 23 members gathered on a field outside, where it was revealed that they would be playing a series of games in the snow. There were a combination of cheers and groans coming from the various members.

“Johnny, Why have you taken your coat off?” Taeyong asked as he saw the younger take it off and sling it over his arm. “You said this morning that it was negative five degrees out, so I grabbed my coat. However it feels much more like it’s around twenty three degrees, much too warm for a coat in the middle of winter.” “Johnny, I think you’re getting celsius and fahrenheit mixed up again. Twenty three degrees will put you at the beginning of Summer.” Johnny shrugged. “RegardlessYoung-ah, it’s too hot out for a coat.”

The leader of the group sighed before hearing a commotion coming from the Dream members. “Hyung, It’s literally below freezing. You should be wearing your coat.” Taeyong turned his attention over to the other group only to see Jisung arguing with Mark. “Mark-ah, Jisung-ah, come over here please.” The duo were quick to come over, only looking a tiny bit concerned at the leader’s exasperated expression.

“Mark, why is it that you’re also not wearing a coat?” Mark looked confused for a moment before answering. “I’m not wearing a coat because it’s too hot for one. But I'm wearing a sweater, so it’s fine.” Taeyoung sighed at the response, then went to see how the others were doing before filming really got started.

The first task involved the twenty three members being split up into two teams and making as many snowballs as possible. Team one consisted of Taeyong, Johnny, Mark, Ten, Jisung, Jaemin, Kun, Hendery, Shotaro, Chenle,  Yangyang, and Jaehyun. Team two consisted of Yuta, Doyoung, Jeno, Haechan, Xiaojun, Winwin, Renjun, Sungchan, Lucas, Taeil, and Jungwoo.

The two teams had fifteen minutes to make as many snowballs as possible and it was pretty chaotic. Both teams had a decent amount of snowballs. The group was about to move on to the next activity,  when there was a small commotion from the maknae. “Taeyong hyung, Mark and Johnny hyungs took off their coats again.”

Taeyong turned to where Jisung was pointing, and sure enough, both Mark and Johnny were now wearing only a t-shirt. Taeyong walked over to the duo “Mark, Johnny, Where are your coats?” “Ten looked cold, so I gave him my coat.” Johnny shrugged as he gestured over Ten, who was now wearing two coats. “And you Mark?” the leader asked. “Same here. I had already taken off my sweater when Johnny hyung noticed Ten looking cold, and he suggested that we should give him our warm clothes since we weren’t using them.” Taeyong rubbed his forehead. “I would like you both to be wearing a coat, but I can’t make you. However, when you both inevitably get sick because we’re spending the entire day out here, don’t come crying to me about it.” “Okay hyung, but we’re not going to get sick. It doesn’t work like that.” The group was then called to get started on the next activity, so the conversation ended.

The groups wound up building snow forts, followed by a massive game of capture the flag with snowballs. They played five rounds of capture the flag, making more snowballs in between each game. By the end of the fourth game, Johnny and Mark were beginning to look cold, but they vehemently refused to ask Ten for their coats back. On the basis that it’s too warm for a coat.

Once the final game ended, Ten gave Johnny and Mark their warm clothes back and Taeyong made them put them on before getting in the vans to head back to the dorm (Winwin had gone back to the Wayv dorm). Upon arrival Taeyong made sure that Johnny and Mark had first showers and gave them steaming mugs of hot cocoa. Everyone went to bed that night in high spirits, as they had a day off before doing more filming. However,  the duo from North America were adamant that they were fine and there was no way they were going to get sick.

The following morning Taeyong was in the kitchen making breakfast for all the members of the 127 dorm, when Jungwoo came in looking slightly frantic. “Hyung, do you know where we keep the thermometer?” Taeyong stopped what he was doing to look at the younger. “Who’s sick, Mark or Johnny?”  “Both?” Jungwoo said in a questioning tone. Before Taeyong could ask any clarifying questions, a round of coughing could be heard from down the hallway.

Taeyong sighed, “The thermometer should be in one of the bathroom cabinets on the left most side. Let me know what their temps are.” Jungwoo nodded before running off in the direction of the bathrooms. Taeyong sighed as he continued making breakfast for everyone.

By the time breakfast was ready, everyone had filtered out of their rooms. However Johnny and Mark were half asleep at the table, their noses already beginning to turn pink from repeatedly rubbing at their runny noses. Breakfast was punctuated with sniffles and occasional coughing from the two North Americans. When breakfast ended the sick duo wordlessly got up and got themselves situated in the living room.

Yuta and Doyoung had gathered tissue boxes and blankets, bringing them to the living room. Johnny was the first one to grab a tissue as his breath began to hitch. “Hih-tschhhh, heh-tschhh.” Johnny blew his nose and leaned back against the couch. “Bless you hyung.” said Mark shortly before coughing into his fist.

Taeyong came into the room carrying a tray with mugs of tea, Jaehyun following with another tray. “I told you being outside in the cold without a coat was going to make you sick.” The leader said. Mark just shook his head, “Hyung, like we said yesterday, it doesn’t work like that. It’s the middle of Winter, so we’re in closer proximity to each other. Because of that, chances are we were pro-prob-istchh, -itschhh, probably getting sick.” Mark grabbed a couple of tissues and blew his own nose. “If you say so, hyung.” said Donghyuck as he helped pass out the mugs of tea.

A couple hours later, Taeil had left the room and returned with the thermometer. Both of their temps came back as a low grade fever. The duo was also beginning to drift off while sitting upright.

“Okay guys, I think it’s nap time now.” Taeyong said. Mark and Johnny were both whining about being told to take a nap, but didn’t actually fight it when the others helped their half asleep bodies navigate to  their beds.

Once the two sickies were sound asleep in their beds, the others reconvened in the living room. “So they definitely got sick from not wearing a coat yesterday right?” Doyoung asked. The others all hummed in agreement.

“Definitely, but they’re too prideful from growing up in colder climates to admit it. Heck, I think at one point I saw Johnny begin to shiver a little before Taeyoung made him get his coat back from Ten.” Yuta supplied.

“Hyungs, it ultimately doesn’t matter whether or not they got sick from not wearing a coat. At least they’re not hiding the fact that they’re sick like some people have done in the past.” Donghyuck responded. The group all agreed that they weren’t going to try to get the duo to admit that their stubborn decision making is what probably got them sick, and instead began discussing whether or not they should stay home instead of doing another day of outdoor filming tomorrow.

The rest of the day was much the same. Both Johnny and Mark were coughing and sneezing periodically throughout the day. Because the dorm only had one humidifier, they put the duo in the same room. They gave them some meds and retired for the night themselves.

The following morning, the duo had very marginally improved. At breakfast, the two sickies seemed even more asleep than breakfast the day before. “Hyungs, you look absolutely awful. I don’t think you should go to the filming site today.” Everyone except for Johnny and Mark verbally concurred, while the duo nodded, Johnny coughing into his fist, and Mark trying not to fall back asleep.

“Got it. Neither of you are in any condition to leave the dorm today. Jaehyun, Taeil, You two can stay here and make sure they get proper sustenance. The two eldest healthy members agreed and the others got ready to head out.

Once the others had left, it became very clear that Neither Johnny nor Mark had any energy to do anything other than go back to their room to sleep. Taeil made sure to check their temperatures again and was relieved that it hadn’t gone up any for either member.

Jaehyun and Taeil made sure that the sick members were fed and hydrated throughout the day and were glad that they didn’t need to do much else. The four of them were watching tv when the others returned.

“So how are you two feeling?” Taeyong asked. He got coughs and nose blows in response. “They pretty much spent the entire day sleeping. I wouldn’t be surprised if they stay up all night.” Taeil told the leader.

“Sounds good, but next time we’re filming outside, you are both wearing warmer clothes if it’s under five degrees celsius.” Taeyong then quickly did something on his phone then looked at Johnny. “That’s forty one degrees fahrenheit for you mister.” The duo nodded at the mini lecture then went back to watching tv. 

Johnny and Mark spent the next week sick, but Taeyong allowed them to resume schedules after day three when their fevers had broken. Taeyong had also texted all the other members to make sure that no one else would pull a similar stunt of not wearing a coat in below freezing temperatures.

for non-australians: milo is a chocolate powder you add to milk to make it choco milk. note: recommended serving size of milo is 2 heaped teaspoons in a glass of milk.

taeil: 10/10. loves making it and turns into a mini milo barista. will make it exactly how you ask for it. drinks it with 2 heaped teaspoons just as the tin recommends.

johnny: 4/10. correct serving amount but drinks it in boiling water. wrong.

taeyong: 8/10. adds it to ice cream and other desserts for fun. probably -2 points because he gets way too excited and accidentally adds too much. and also drinks it warm occasionally

yuta: 6/10. uses the correct amount of milo but he adds the milk before the powder so minus 4 points for him

ten: 9/10. uses way too much milo but will always offer you one too. makes a mess in the kitchen because somehow the powder always gets everywhere when he makes it

kun: 4/10. not only does this man use way too little powder in his own, he also criticises how much you add to yours. checks the tin every time to see if the serving size has changed (it hasn’t)

doyoung: 5/10. only adds one spoonful because he thinks two is “too much”. 2 points for asking you how much you want when he makes yours, though.

winwin: 1/10. probably uses the right amount of milo but puts it in something cursed like banana milk.

jaehyun: 5/10. doesn’t drink it but when he does, he makes it correctly. accidentally breaks the lid of the tin trying to open it.

jungwoo: 5/10. drinks it hot with chocolate milk or, occasionally, strawberry milk. sometimes cursed but overall ok.

lucas: 2/10. eats a spoonful of milo dry and then drinks milk straight from the carton. claims it’s because that way there’s one less glass that needs washing. chaotic.

hendery: 3/10. adds way too much milo to his drink (7 points) but -4 points because if you ask him to make you one, he only adds half a teaspoon and you can’t even taste the chocolate :(

xiaojun: 0/10. drinks it cold with water instead of milk. no.

mark: 9/10. makes it perfectly and will always offer to make you one, too. -1 point because he drinks it in a mug despite it being cold ??

renjun: 6/10. makes it fine but once someone made him laugh while he was drinking and he inhaled the powder. sneezed chocolate goop for two days. hasn’t drank it since.

jeno: 3/10. straight away -5 points because he drinks it hot before bed, I can just tell. -2 points for calling it hot chocolate (it is not).

jaemin: 0/10. puts it in his coffee like an absolute madman. zero points for having the audacity.

donghyuck: 7/10. adds a lil more than is recommended but uses chocolate milk ????? like,, that’s what the powder is for ????

yangyang: 0/10. adds milk to the tin of milo and consumes it all in one sitting. yes it was a dare and it only happened once but 0 points.

chenle: 7/10. adds way too much milo to the milk in a 10:1 ratio so it turns to a thick sludge. requires a spoon to eat it because it is no longer liquid.

jisung: 5/10. 5 points for adding the correct amount of milo. -5 because he drinks it warm. disgusting.

mark was basically just relieved the moment hannah ran out their dorms and towards the wayv dorm

meanwhile poor sungchan who was in the middle of talking to yoonmi when hannah took her phone back was shookt

“does this mean noona likes yangyang hyung?”

the rest of wayv

i have said this previously aksjfh they were the most chaotic probably bc it happened in their dorm

lucas heard ten calling his name and ten was like “the babies kissed and now they went in the room!”

lucas went protective mode and dragged winwin to look for the keys while ten banged on the door

xiaojun and hendery were confused af until winwin explained what was going on and like hendery looked at xiaojun

“didn’t you have a crush on her?” “NO!”

kun kinda just knocked on the door and asked for them to open up to which yangyang yelled a no

but hannah opened the door bc she listens to her kun baba

jaemin, johnny, and haechan

ten messaged johnny somehow in the mess of him banging on the door

there were a series of typos though

“oh? hannah and yangyang got together”

remember when i said wayv was chaotic? hyuck is a runner up

“WHAT? AND SHE DIDN’T TELL ME? THE BETRAYAL”

and he liked raced up to the wayv dorms to attack literally everyone with questions

meanwhile johnny calmly followed after him while walking

meanwhile jeno kinda just messaged jaemin about it bc he needs a rant buddy bc jeno’s feeling emotions

so jaemin makes a mental note to talk to yangyang while he listens to jeno’s last sad love life rant about hannah

renjun, chenle, and jisung

hendery messaged renjun about the happenings in their dorm that christmas eve

and he’s with chenji so he tells the two kids

and they’re like

“does this mean yangyang hyung is our dad now?”

cue renjun facepalming

“no, literally, no.”

jungwoo and jaehyun

jaehyun messages johnny bc the older was supposed to head up to the tenth floor with hyuck to wait for christmas, but he still wasn’t there

johnny’s like “hyuck’s attacking yangyang rn”

“why?” “he and hannah are official now” “oh... OH”

jaehyun immediately tells jungwoo bc roommate thingz

and jungwoo’s first instinct was “my baby’s growing up 🥺”

(the second one was to scold yangyang, but jaehyun stopped him bc hyuck was doing that)

like when jungwoo approached the two in the living room to tell them, taeil just

meanwhile doyoung malfunctioned a little bit

he sat there and stared at jungwoo like

jaehyun was the one to tell these two

yuta jokingly nudged shotaro’s side with a teasing smile

“you should have snatched her up while you still could”

shotaro just laughed

he actually was someone hannah always went to in the middle of the night for a comforting presence when her thoughts about the fiasco ate her up

he’s just happy that she won’t be too conflicted anymore

hannah texted taeyong herself when donghyuck came into the wayv dorm and started lecturing yangyang with kun and lucas

he was surprised to say the least, but her wanted her to be happy

“are you ready for a relationship, haeeun?”

“i’m pretty sure i am”

“then i’m happy for you”

BASICALLY it was chaotic and the whole of nct found out in a span of 10 minutes despite being in like four or five different places

(bonus: bangtan found out twenty minutes later when mark came to spend christmas eve with yoonmi)
