Haru was no stranger to the world of competitive gaming, before becoming an idol as an independent content creator in Japan, he was renowned for his obsession and livestreams playing a variety of games. He felt at home after being invited to this game tournament as one of the celebrity guests and low and behold he met this curious young man. With a smirk, he picks up the controller and stretches his neck before preparing himself.

"I don't need to bat my pretty eyes for me to kick your ass." How very idol of Haru. The vulgarity arising from past experiences, remembering his own phase as a more... toxic competitor. But he clears his throat, turning to wink at Love before picking his character and preparing for battle against the gamer next to him.

"Don't come crying to me when I humble your adorable gamer ass." Teased the excited and determined singer.

Ryung had barely looked to Seungwon's face as the male ducked his head in to the room his groupmate tidied up in after their performance. Ryung didn't need to look at him to know precisely who the other meant — the illustrious leader from UNA1 that had recently made a surprise comeback following his return from military service. Park Mingyu would no doubt be the talk of every media outlet in the industry following his little stunt, which meant that the efforts of MIR4GE all these past months was practically nullified in one fell swoop.

He had been so furious it had been everything he could do to stop himself from marching off stage and making a fool of himself and his groupmates, but following recent allegations he could not risk sullying their reputation further.

And so after he dabbed the sweat from his brow and blotted his lips, tracing a strand of hair back out of his face to allow the full range of expression in those dark brows to speak for what lips could not say, he would make his way to Dressing Room 5.

Recognizing the young idol, the staff let him in as instructed and Ryung found himself in a room much like MIR4GE's own, but something about the air in this place was of a very, very different caliber. This was due to one person in particular who sat across from the door, waiting:

"Mingyu-hyung," he addressed him with uncharacteristic and perhaps disingenuous deference, clasping one wrist behind his beck as he stood at attention. "I thought for sure you must be busy having only just returned. Imagine my surprise when Seungwon told me you requested a visit from little ol' me," he half-smirked, a curious brow lifting.

"To what do I owe the honor?"

Plop. Another bloody tissue into the wastepaper basket. Ryung snatched a clean one and reached up to dab it at his nostril only to find it still coming away with blood. He exhaled a quiet snarl and tilted his head back once more, his neck growing very weary of this position.

"You don't have to sit here with me, you know. I'll clean it up after my nose stops bleeding," he spoke to the group captain with an indifferent air, not seeming particularly sentimental about the fact that the male was dabbing at his bruised and bloodied brow and eyesocket — the dumb bitch who hit him hadn't even taken his rings off before laying into him. Didn't he know how much this face was worth?

More than any of them could afford, he'd told himself after the ordeal. Yang Sujin's career was in his hands to be broken if he so pleased... but he decided early enough on that having UNA1 indebted to him was more satisfying than losing one pathetic shoe-in his job.

And so Sun Ryung had impressed upon his manager that he did not wish to take any actions against the studio — that as long as Yang Sujin publicly apologized for his actions that he would be satisfied. In just a few days time the industry would be filled with chatter about what a level-headed and generous young man he was, and MIR4GE would benefit from his tribulations no matter how inconvenient they were currently.

"I want his head on the ground, Jay," he spoke up at last, his gaze cast up to the ceiling through thick, dark eyelashes. He blinked a lazy, blood-drained blink, clutching the tissue to his nose. "I want Yang Sujin face down on the concrete, begging for forgiveness — Park Mingyu should have muzzled his dog before someone else had to do it for him."

Just a random thought about KUUMAA's UMK journey this year

Knowing that Kuumaa had a "serious but not too serious" approach, I assumed that they joined UMK this year only with the intention of broadening their audience without necessarily making it to Eurovision in Liverpool. It is considering that they're already getting domestic success and that international eurofans are following the national finals.

I really loved their UMK performance, but I believe that they could have done better with their staging considering they were going against the likes of Käärijä, Portion Boys, or Robin Packalen.

If they were serious about aiming to win UMK, they would've gone all out with their visuals. Their costumes (the blue jumpsuits) and LED graphics at their live gigs (see their YleXPop performance) would've given them a more distinct look needed for them to be easily recognized at ESC. Although I understand that they didn't use any of these as their new album isn't out yet at the time they were in UMK, and they don't want to spoil anything.

Käärijä really was the perfect choice for Liverpool, but Finland should be very proud especially of their UMK lineup this year. They all gained a fan and I'm not sure if the Kuumaa boys would want to do UMK again, but if they do, I'll support them all the way. Their songs are so good, and the band is charismatic, pls do check them out if you haven't!
