Miraculous Quirk AU

Idk if someone has already done this but here we go!

So, I recently got into Boku no Hero Academia and I got to thinking, what if the Miraculous universe was set in the same one as Bnha?

So, those of us who watch Bnha know the drill, 80% of the population has superpowers, called “quirks.” The other 20% are “quirkless.” So here’s how it would play out in my brain.

Super duper long, oops, so under the cut!

Miraculous:

works pretty much the same way as canon

only doesn’t give you a suit the holder picks that themselves

they work similar to One For All does in Bnha

the power of the previous owner fuels the power of the miraculous and the previous user can still use the power, but a weakened version of it

Ladybug miraculous gives the holder the power to create things and heal

Black Cat miraculous gives the power to destroy things with a touch (at will)

And so on, pretty much like canon but with some modifications

Marinette

was born quirkless

when she was younger, kids (cough Chloe cough) would make fun of her for it

was insecure about it for a long time and then saw all of the ways that quirks could backfire and decided it wasn’t worth it and it no longer bothers her (much)

(seeing Chloe blind herself was funny tho, even if it was temporary)

still wants to be a fashion designer

wary of superheros because of all of that property damage and also some of them are lowkey sus.

parents still own a bakery

Sabine’s quirk is levitation. She can make items and people float with her  mind but they have to be things she can physically lift (it’s okay tho cause she’s smol but strong). The drawback is that she gets really bad headaches and if she uses it too much or for too long, she can get a migraine.

Tom has a smaller, tamer version of pyrokinesis. He can’t make his entire body burst into flame but he can make certain parts, like his hands. He has a naturally high resistance to extreme weathers as his body heat is unusally high (hugs from him during the summer are bittersweet b/c he’s a great hugger but it’s too damn HOT DAD GET OFF-). The drawback is that he can’t control the temperature of the flame so if he’s not careful or if he uses his quirk for too long, it’ll burn him. His arms have many burn scars, rip.

back to Marinette

Decided the Hero Life wasn’t for her but still supports her friends who want to do it

Until she met the Lucky Hero, Tikki, her favorite

After plot happens, Tikki gives her the source of her “quirk”, the miraculous, and entrusts Marinette to carry on her legacy

Lots of angsty turmoil before she accepts the miraculous and decided to become a hero.

Chooses to be named the Ladybug, same as canon

Her hero costume would be the same as canon AT FIRST since her decision to go to a hero school was last minute af but then the suit will go through modifications to better suit her power needs and fashion needs

Got through the entrance exam after training with Tikki and because she’s badass shh

Doesn’t get a crush on Adrien until later once they’re already friends (or at all really idk yet)

Adrien

was the result of a quirk marriage

was the *failed result of a quirk marriage

Instead of inheriting both quirks of his parents, like intended, they combined and created a new one

His quirk is Charm. His body releases an invisible pheromone that makes him seem more attractive or trustworthy, sometimes both, depending on the person who smells it. This makes the “victim” more susceptible to his suggestions, but it’s not a total brainwash, unlike his father, so they can still easily fight it off if they wanted to. The drawbacks are that he can’t really stop it so he has to be constantly covered so that he doesn’t accidentally charm everyone. Also, after a while, people can build up tolerance to him and it won’t work as strongly on them.

Gabriel has Brainwash, which is often seen as a villain’s quirk. Everyone is thankful the he decided on fashion as a career and not villainy (oh those poor naive souls). If he looks into your eyes, you are put in his control and won’t be able to fight it unless he lets you go or if you receive a blunt impact to the head. The drawbacks are that he can’t control it so anyone who he makes eye contact with gets brainwashed unless there’s an obstacle in the way i.e.: glasses

Emilie’s quirk is sleep gas. Her skin cells naturally produce a gas that can put people in a coma-like state. The drawbacks are, again, can’t turn it off and the person has to be within range. She also has to be constantly covered.

Adrien wanted to be a hero at first to spite his father

Gabriel always hated heroes and saw them as a nuisance.

So Adrien basically said “fuck you, I’m going to be the best hero because I can”

And somehow convinced his dad to enroll him in College Francois Dupont, a local hero school

(he acutally just charmed him cause his dad isn’t around him enough to build up immunity to his quirk but shh)

He gets in through recommendations and is put in the hero course

This version of Adrien was still childhood friends with Chloe (who is immune to him) and a lot more distrustful of people, especially if they’re nice since he has no way of know if they’re genuinely a nice person or if they just fell prey to his quirk

rip the sunshine boy he has no friends except Chloe for the first few weeks of class

Becomes friends with Nino after they got paired up in a fight simulation

The slowly gets more comfortable around people and becomes more open to friendships

Doesn’t get the Black Cat Miraculous until much, much later when the Squad gets caught up in a fight with villains and the Unlucky Hero, Plagg (Tikki’s partner and husband) decides to entrust him with it

Impulsive chaotic gremlin that gets threatened to be put on a leash made by Marinette 

Chloe

also the result of a quirk marriage, this one being successful

Her quirk is called Diamond. Her skin has an extra layer that acts very similarly to an actual diamond so she can reflect, refract, and disperse light. This layer can also harden at her will so that she can become a semi-indestructible prism. Her body’s reaction to light intensifies while in this state. The drawbacks are that while her body is hardened, she cannot move easily and her speed will be greatly reduced. Also, her skin is just very sparkly almost all of the time which makes it hard to hide from villains and to see when it’s sunny out. Usually wear large sunhats and sunglasses to try and reduce the shine

Her and Adrien bond by being products of a quirk marriage

also got in through recommendation and everyone thinks she bought her way in but actually tried very hard to earn her spot

is VERY protective over Adrien and will blind someone if they say anything she deems offensive

She and Marinette practically hate each other on a good day before they were forced to hang out since Adrien kept bringing Chloe along with him whenever the Squad would get into shenanigans

They developed a mutual agreement to be civil at one point and that slowly turned into friendship

Y’know the type of friends that insult each other and fight over every small thing but the second someone else tries to come for the other they won’t h e s i t a t e BITCH

yeah that’s them

anyways, I digress

Is surprisingly the sensible one of the group

“no you cannot run headfirst into the fight Adrien, these are actual villains and you can’t even pass a simulation without dumb luck.”

“I don’t care if your quirk can heal you Marinette, stop jumping off of rooftops and go down the stairs like a normal person!”

“Put it down, Nino.”

“Luka. No.”

Says she wants to be a hero because hero’s are cool and she’s cool so it just makes sense for her to be a hero

(actually though because she wanted to make her mother proud of her but you didn’t hear it from me)

Is lowkey really powerful and if she tried to use the full extent of her powers, she’d be a beast

but don’t tell her that, she’s already got a big head

Luka

is working towards becoming an underground hero

His quirk is sound amplification. He amplifies preexisting sound waves to what ever frequency is needed. Depending on the frequency, he can break through almost any object. The drawback is that sound waves can damage his hearing and can become temporarily deaf if he uses it too long or if he creates a frequency that’s too high for his body to handle. Has a chance of becoming permanently deaf if he overuses his quirk too many times

His suit comes with modifications to help with that so he should be fine he hopes

His guitar doubles as a weapon since he usually amplifies whatever chord he plays

Already has his provisional hero licence

is still really chill

is one of the first to figure out Marinette’s secret but is a good boi so he doesn’t tell

you’d think that being the oldest of the group he’d be the sensible one but nope

is accidentally the one that encourages shenanigans 

Luka, innocently: Hey, did you know that the teachers don’t lock up the sim rooms?

Chloe: *Death glare*

Luka: *nervous confusion*

Nino

Adrien’s best friend, just like canon

started out as general studies since he wasn’t sure if he was good enough to be a hero but a teacher saw his potential and was transferred into the hero course

His quirk is time reduction. He can slow time or even stop it completely if he concentrates very hard, allowing him to get one place to the next in literally no time at all. He used to think it was super speed because this but found out what it really was when he tried to save a cat from being run over and stopped time. He can also stop  only certain objects in time but that takes up more energy. The drawback is that if he overuses his quirk he starts to speed up his own time in order to compensate for the time he’s losing so he becomes very tired and after “3 hours” of his own time passed he will pass out from exhaustion. Also, he can only manipulate the time within his quirk’s range which can go up to about the size of an american football field (160 feet/49) meters.

is super insecure of his quirk because he thinks it’s not as cool as everyone else’s

they make sure to let him know that that’s bs and he’s very cool

feeds off of Adiren’s chaotic energy during simulations

I know it's been a minute since you've talked about your Miraculous Gremlin Squad AU (like 4-5 months maybe?), but I found it and I've been brainrotting it so hard.

Especially the possible aftermath of Tyrant. Like, what if that aftermath leads to some Clingy Duo angst? After Tubbo gets akumatized, it'd only make sense for his other half to follow suit.

I imagine it'd go like this:

Things are tense after Tubbo got akumatized, and it doesn't help that everyone is treating him like glass, treading carefully and acting like he'll snap if they don't. The only ones that aren't are the other gremlins, and he's grateful for that, but it doesn't help very much.

Eventually, they want him to talk about it. But from what he's gathered, his akuma revealed things he's bottled for ages, things he very much wants to leave behind and not think about. So he tells everyone to fuck off, because he's not talking about it. He never wants to talk about it. Most drop it after that, even Ranboo (who isn't particularly happy about it, but Tubbo pretends he doesn't notice), but the keyword is most.

Tommy doesn't drop it. In fact, he seems to get more persistent when Tubbo tells him to fuck off. No matter what Tubbo says or does to avoid the conversation, Tommy won't drop it. They're the same in that sense, they're both stubborn to a fault. Really, it was only a matter of time before that stubbornness lead to something ugly.

“Prime, could you stop trying to play hero for one minute and leave me the fuck alone?” He regrets his words the minute they leave his mouth, guilt pooling in the pit of his stomach as he watches hurt flash across Tommy’s face before he steels it over with that familiar anger that he always wears in order to hide the fact that he's hurt. “That’s not fair.” His voice is guarded, low and unsteady in a way that means he's trying to keep his emotions in check. “You know that’s not what I’m trying to do.”

This would be the moment to apologize, to reel his emotions back in and actually talk to Tommy. Because Tommy wouldn’t hold it against him, Tommy would forgive him immediately and wholeheartedly (because Tommy has forgiven him for worse, even if he didn’t deserve his forgiveness). Because everyone’s wanted him to talk to someone about it, and who better to talk to than his other half? His best friend, who’s been with him through worse and would stick with him no matter what. This would be the perfect moment to do it. But after almost a week of everyone treating him like glass, and Tommy poking and prodding and refusing to drop it like everyone else did- it’s far too late to do that. Instead, he’s choosing to snap, to lash out and dig this hole deeper.

So he keeps going.

And as their conversation escalates, he says more and more that he knows he’s going to regret. Until finally, he goes too far, and Tommy physically recoils from his sharp words. Taken so aback by his words that he doesn’t bother hiding the horrible mix of hurt and anger from his expression. And as Tubbo watches tears well in Tommy’s eyes, whatever anger and irritation he felt dissipates, leaving a horrible wake of guilt and regret in it’s place.

And it’s only as he reaches out to Tommy to try and apologize that he spots the akuma. But it’s already far too late by that point. All he can do is watch as the akuma makes it’s home in Tommy’s compass and as his best friend agrees to whatever Hawkmoth offers him.

(Later, after Tommy’s been de-akumatized and everything’s calmed, there will be a quiet conversation in the dark of night. Tears and apologies will be shared between the two as they finally talk. It will be a painful conversation about trauma and akumas, but it will end with the two of them feeling lighter, their bond stronger than ever.

But that’s later.)

Right now, Tubbo feels more helpless than he's ever felt before as he watches as the akuma consumes his best friend. And the guilt and regret he feels burns a deep, dark pit in his stomach as his other half disappears before his eyes in a swirl of black smoke, and is instead replaced with Theseus, the hero Tommy never wanted to be.

Ok ok ok I’ve been reading the MLB au and I got an idea for evil Tubbo, king. His outfit is kinda close to schllat’s because that was the worst part of his life with wilbur going nuts, being separated from tommy, and being stuck with schllat who caused that and would also be the reason Tubbo is on his last life. The main difference is that Tubbo has a king chess piece on a string that he wears on his beach as a necklace and a pouch on his belt full of lots and lots of chess pieces, and when ever he throws a piece and it hits someone then they have the same functions as the piece that hit them and they do what Tubbo wants them too because he’s the king. Now for the reason he’s akamutised, maybe he woke up and he was just having a bad day with his burns and they hurt more than other times normally he goes to the others when that happens but Tommy is busy doing a fashion thing, ran-boo went out with puffy and eret earlier, and purpled is out on a walk. Despite not wanting to bother Tommy he really needs best friend comfort but Tommy nearly slept and was having a hard time getting his piece to look right and accidentally blows up at Tubbo for interrupting his work and Tubbo runs of before he relies what he said and apologize, Tubbo feeling hurt runs until he gets to some random empty area where he pulls out a king chess piece on a string that he got often from Tommy after the finale battle so he could always remember that he wasn’t just a pawn but a king capable of anything and while starring at it he began to tear up a bit when in the reflection of the black piece he sees an akuma behind him and before he knows it he’s attacking Paris. Sorry if this is confusing I’m very tired and it’s very late but I did my best!

Ooo that last part is SUCH a cool visual. Tubbo seeing an akuma in the reflection of his chess piece? Poetic cinema!!

His power is also super fuckin cool, and also symbolic! He's the one in control but as the king he's also the most vulnerable piece and needs to be protected at all costs. (Emphasis on all costs.)

Tyrant challenges LB and CN to a chess game. If they win, he’ll stop. If he wins, he gets their miraculous. Suddenly their on a chessboard, without any pieces. LB asks where the pieces are, to which Tyrant waves a hand and all of Mari and Adrien’s friends appear as the pieces with LB as the king and CN as the queen. Tyrant’s pieces are just giant chess pieces, with a few exceptions.

Tommy is a knight, Ranboo is the queen (cause platonic marriage), Purpled is a rook, Puffy is a bishop, Eret is a pawn (that turns into a queen later in the game), and Tyrant himself is the king.

Tyrant looks at the superhero duo across the board, before spreading his arms out, “your move, Ladybug”

Okay that’s smart and terrifying. Oh god.

Just all of Mari and Adrien’s friends being chess pieces and now they have to go and pretty much use them to go and beat Tyrant. Oh man. And now we have the others also being chess pieces and they’re just as terrified as everyone is. They probably try to talk Tubbo out of it but it’s usually met with him brushing it off.

It’s now super stressful for Mari and Adrien now because they don’t want their friends hurt. They don’t want to win if it means that one of their friends will get hurt.

Now I know this is supposed to be serious and stuff but at the same time I can see Ranboo just blinking almost at the breaking point and realizing that even though it is chess, it doesn’t mean it has to be traditional Chess.

It can mean it could be Fundy and George’s style of Chess back at their home.

Ladybug’s lucky charm there is a bunch of Monopoly Money and she just goes and fucking buys all the chess pieces when she realizes this.

(Nino: Uh uh uh. I go and put down the White Eyes Dragon card!

Made a Miraculous au on Discord but like it’s more of a crossover au like with how gremlins ended up in Hogwarts.

Now keep in mind, the Miraculous show is great at some points and a mess at others due to multiple reasons and I still don't know the timeline so we're taking some stuff and flinging it out the window. We're rewriting the show so that this au is mostly crack, humor, and dunking on Gabriel.

How did the four of them end up there? Easy, XD sneezed and accidentally sent them to that universe.

Now you got four minors in Paris after being a Minecraft world for a majority of the world.

Featuring:

-Tommy becoming Tailorinnit and dunking on Gabriel for the clothing lines he makes and also dunking on Gabriel 

-The Gremlins saying no to the Akumas Hawkmoth sends because you know what? Fuck that. Already been manipulated once. No thanks. Go away now

-The Gremlins deciding to go and steal from Gabriel after hearing that Adrien has a shitty dad and deciding to steal from him

(Tommy: Hey guys, check this out! I stole Gabriel’s shitty brooches and pins!

Tubbo: Oooh. One of them looks like Peacock feathers while the other looks like a butterfly!)

-Yeah they stole the Miraculouses

-Cue Gabriel having to go and send people to nab them back and to go and get the Cat and Ladybug Miraculous to get to his goal. Got to keep the villain somehow

-Yeah these kids just got Nooroo and Dussuu out of there. First thing they do was scream and thought that they were some weird bugs and try to squash them

-Purpled and Tubbo house hunting for a good portion of early season 1

-They don’t want to get involved in whatever is happening, they just want to find a house and they want to never talk to an adult again, especially since all the adults on the SMP sort of failed them

-Marrinete and Adrien having trouble against a very rough baddie and the kids deciding, fuck it. Time to go be the hero and two of them just arriving there with cool outfits

-They all switch the miraculous from time to time

-Also, Tommy’s version outfit of the Miraculous continuously changes everytime he transforms

-Ranboo saying pickaxe puns and other puns as he beats up bad guys. Ladybug is not amused. Chat is

-Purpled just straight up beating the guy up as his main method of defeat. No time wasted

-Tubbo immediately going to the most chaotic yet at the same time controlled solution

-Tommy going for the more uncontrollable type of chaos for beating bad guys

-Nooroo and Dussu are grateful for being used for good but man these kids are chaotic. Dussu is all in it while Nooroo is just slowly getting a migraine

I feel like everyone should be reminded that like Tubbo, Purpled, Tommy, and Ranboo are like older than the Miraculous main protagonist cast.

Like I’m pretty sure that Adrien and Marinette and the others are like what? 14 or 15?

So we’re going to go and have all four of them just all of a sudden have sibling/parental instincts kick in and welp. Guess they got several siblings now. If anyone hurts them they will kill everyone in this city and then themselves.

(Purpled: Oh. This is what it feels like to be an older brother.

Ranboo: Yep.

Purpled: I’m starting to get the vibes Punz and Ponk always say they would have whenever I’m around)

Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo, and Purpled are going to give advise while house hunting and it varies from weirdly specific advise:

(Tubbo: Don’t eat Pufferfish

Adrien: Okay?

Tubbo: You’ll get poisoned and will see things for a while. Like I can eat Pufferfish because I’m used to it but not you. You’ll probably die.

Adrien: ?????)

To actually helpful advise:

(Tommy: Okay look, you just got to tell him

Marinette: I can’t just do that!

Tommy: Look Mari, if you don’t tell him now he’s never going to know. And then before you know it, he’s gone. Just get it out of the way now so that you at least know what he’s feeling instead of pining.

Tommy: If he likes you and wants to date you, great! That’s the best case scenario. If he likes you as a friend then well that sucks but at least he still sees you as a friend. Try to maintain that at least and at the same time let go of the infatuation. If he says he doesn’t like you and starts insulting you then tell me, I’ll let you cry on my shoulder for a bit before calling Tubbo to murder Adrien for you.
