Hogwarts Legacy Timeline
I've gone deep into research to try to put together a timeline of events that happened before the start of the game.
Tumblr media
Ok, let's break it down! (I'll provide my sources for all of this)
And let's start with the most shocking: when anne gets cursed.
Almost everyone assumes (logically) that she got cursed sometime during the fourth year or the summer before the start of fifth year. But, in the book "The Art and Making Of Hogwarts Legacy" there is a short paragraph introducing Sebastian and here is what it says:
Tumblr media
If we take this info as legit (and I think it is since that book was written by the people developping the game) then Anne has been suffering from that curse for far longer than anyone thought!
That also means that Ranrok opened the first repository over a year before our MC starts at Hogwarts and discovers ancient magic.
Before we start the mission 'It's all Gobbledegook" with Amit, Lodgok tells the MC that Ranrok orginally unearthed Bragbor's journals that had been long lost. From these journals, he discovered that wizards had hidden for 'repositories' full of magic that Bragbor had built for them. He knew all of this was connected to five names: Rackham, Fitzgerald, Bakar, Morganach and Rookwood. Ranrok then sent Lodgok to begin the search at Rookwood castle.
Sebastian also confirms that Goblins first arrived at Rookwood castle. Before we visit his sister, he tells MC: "No one has felt safe here since Ranrok's Loyalists took a peculiar interest in that castle over there - Rookwood castle."
Miriam was actually already at Rookwood castle, conducting her research on ancient magic, before the Goblins arrived. That is how Lodgok meets her. She had already found the container (with the portkey inside) and was studying it. (Lodgok tells us this after we complete the mission with Amit).
Other Goblins join Lodgok at Rookwood castle to search it. At this point, Rookwood must have joined hands with Ranrok and allowed the Goblins to tunnel under Rookwood castle to search for the repository. (We overhear Rookwood telling Ranrok: "I allowed you to tunnel under my family home!" when we first visit Rookwood castle to start the second trial from the Keepers).
The Goblins find the first repository and Ranrok is thrilled. That is when Lodgok tells him that he met Miriam and that he trusted her and allowed her to continue her research on the container independently. Lodgok does not really know what happens after that but we know that Ranrok eventually found her and killed her. So Miriam died sometime between Ranrok finding the first repository and the start of the fifth year.
The only other thing we know to try to piece together when Miriam died is that shortly before her death she first sent George Osric a letter warning him about Ranrok's activities (presumably she knew that he had accessed the first repository) and then "before [George] could respond" she also sent him the container. Since George himself says he had not had time to respond to her first letter before he received the container, that probably means only a few days went by between Miriam being worried about Ranrok's activities and when he found her and killed her. (We learn all of this from George Osric in the carriage going to Hogwarts.)
The other interesting thing is that George tells Prof. Fig that he had received Miriam's first letter (and the contained shortly after), "months ago". Rookwood sort of confirms this when he tells Ranrok that he spent "months and countless Ministry favours" locating the container (he says this when we overhear his conversation with Ranrok at Rookwood castle). So this means that Miriam died several months before september 1890.
This raises a lot of questions: Why did George Osric wait that long to tell Prof. Fig that he has received a mysterious container from his wife before her death? Also, why did Miriam send the container to George and not her husband? Were Prof. Fig and his wife estranged? Did Miriam not trust Prof. Fig? But that's the topic for another post I suppose...
Anyway, after Goblins started searching at Rookwood castle, they also started searching at other locations connected to the 5 names of the Keepers. (We know this, again, from Lodgok before we start the mission with Amit). That is when they arrived at Isidora's house. We don't know the exact timeline between them arriving at Isidora's home and the fire during which Anne got cursed. This could have happened before Ranrok found the first repository. But it happened after Ranrok and Rookwood started their alliance since Rookwood was at Isidora's house with the Goblins. So I think it happened after Ranrok had already found the first repository but we can't be sure.
Anyway that's all I've got! Have I forgotten something?

Heyo [:
Love your work! I was wondering if you could write some headcanons on Professor Fig? (and maybe Miriam?)
A/N: do I have headcanons? OF COURSE I DO, LETS GO!
ELEAZAR AND MIRIAM FIG HC
Eleazar was sorted to Gryffindor, Miriam was Ravenclaw
Eleazar was a daring-do troublemaker, he'd push the limits of the rules and constantly explore beyond the bounds of Hogwarts. He was eager for adventure and full of wanderlust.
Miriam was a popular, sweet, clever girl with a sharp mind and a soft voice. She was a high academic achiever from day one and set her ambitions high into researching mysterious or forgotten forms of magic. The unknown fascinated her.
Their first real interaction was in fourth year when Eleazar was running for his life from the prefects. He rounded a corner, nearly ran into Miriam, dove behind a tapestry, and pleaded with her to not say anything.
When the prefects came around, she gestured down the hallway and they kept running. She found the whole situation amusing. Eleazar came out of his hiding spot, out of breath, and said he owed her one. She said she'd hold him to that.
Eleazar used this excuse to seek her out. Rules about interactions between boys and girls were much stricter in his time and he found the thrill of pursuing her, even in a friendly way, exciting.
Miriam found him charming, in a rapscallion sort of way. While she was more bound to the rules of the school than he was, she couldn't help find his excitement infectious.
Their first date was in their 6th year. It started with a traditional butterbeer in the three broomsticks, and ended with a sunset stroll along the edge of the forbidden forest. There was a perfect overlook of Hogwarts.
Miriam showed her own daring when she was the first to kiss him.
Eleazar was a goner from that day forward. He wanted this girl to be in his life for the rest of his days. He was head over heels in love with her.
Miriam was so happy she found someone at Hogwarts she could share passion with after graduation. She could get marriage out of the way so her family doesn't bother her over it and then she could focus on her research with the love of her life by her side.
Eleazar was tempted to elope with her, but Miriam wanted a proper ceremony.
They got married the summer after graduation. A modest wedding, with just some friends and family, but it was their perfect day.
After Hogwarts, Miriam had graduated with such high marks that she was granted funding for her research into Ancient Magic by the Department of Mysteries.
Eleazar traveled alongside her on the adventure of a lifetime. They saw the world together. Saw so many amazing places, met so many amazing people and creatures and beasts.
They mutually decided to not have children. Between their travels and research, children just weren't part of the plan.
As the years went on, Miriam's research, no matter how thorough she had been over, the decades, was starting to seem impossible to complete. She felt so close to the truth, but answers seemed just out of reach.
Eleazar's wanderlust had been satiated by the time he was in his 60s and applied to be a professor of magic theory at Hogwarts.
Miriam didn't travel far from Scotland after Eleazar got the teaching job, but she couldn't stop her search now if she wanted to.
Miriam was at Rookwood castle in the spring of 1890 where she met a goblin by the name of Lodgok. She had met many a goblin in her travels and welcomed him warmly. She even offered him tea.
Unfortunately, the next goblin she met was not as accepting of her kindness. Ranrok killed her without mercy. She didn't even have a chance to raise her wand.
The news of Miriam's death made Eleazar feel as though his soul had been torn in two. His soulmate was taken. The love of his life.
He barely had time to grieve before the headmaster sent him an owl about him having to mentor a student being admitted late to Hogwarts.
Throughout the summer as he teaches MC the basics, he puts on a polite mask while he interacts with them but cries himself to sleep every night.
He would never burden a child with his pain.
When it's discovered that MC can see and interact with traces of ancient Magic, the very magic Miriam spent her whole life pursuing, it's like he suddenly has air in his lungs again.
Over the school year, Eleazar becomes attached to MC like they were his own. He feels protective of them as the ancient magic business becomes more and more harrowing, leading to a final confrontation with Ranrok.
He sticks to MC like glue through the cavern underneath Hogwarts. He's going to get them through as much of the goblin army as he can so they can get to Ranrok. They were the only one capable of stopping such a monster.
When the cliff collapses, and they're separated for the final battle, He uses all of his strength to get back to them. He's barely alive when he sees them again, the dark magic from Ranrok swirling around MC like a storm.
He tries to keep the earth supporting Hogwarts steady as MC attempts to contain the dark magic.
"You're stronger than you know."
He doesn't know if MC even heard him over the deafening crumbling of stone and angry magic flying through the air.
When it's all over, and the magic is contained, he feels the sort of relief wash over him like he can finally rest. Looking up through the soft blue glow of the repository, he swears he sees a familiar figure just beyond, beckoning him.
"Miriam..." He feels her wand in his hands again. MC holding it to his chest.
"Miriam would have loved you, MC. The wizarding world couldn't be in more capable hands."
The light in his eyes fades. He exhales his final breath.
He embraces Miriam. Peace.

A wild Hogwarts Legacy OC appears!
Tumblr media
I present to you, Florence Inkwood.
Alright listen, I know there’s a lot oc character sheets out there and I know I’m pretty late to the HL wagon…. But I’ve spent way to long brewing up this character of mine in my head for way too long, so I must unleash her as well with the many stories I will create with her. Hope you will enjoy this ride with me 😌
Florence Inkwood is the youngest of four children, with her oldest sister (Victoria) and two brothers (Lawrence and Edward). Her mother (Elva) is a muggle, and her father (Ottis) is a wizard; Ottis owns an exotic plant and herb shop that caters to both muggles and wizards alike, while Elva stays at home to take care of the housework.
Her family lives in Massachusetts, and all her siblings have attended the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ottis took a brief leave of absence from his shop for his wife's needs after she became ill unexpectedly while pregnant with Florence. Her father had saved her, and Florence's lives by using crushed snakewood leaves from a tree outside of Ilvermorny. The doctors thought this could be why Florence's hair was dark red-brown and the rest of her family was dark brown… as well as possibly cursing her.
Unfortunately for Florence, she was considered a squib for a while, as her magical abilities didn’t appear until she barely turned 15. This disappointed her father; because of the lateness of her power, he had put her in a muggle school so he wouldn’t face the external embarrassment of having a squib child.
Since then, she grew up always feeling inferior to her siblings and those around her; she thought they would see her as weak for her lack of magic. Because of this, she felt especially proud when she could physically dominate most of her male counterparts in school games while wearing a dress that limited her movements. She thought she had to prove herself academically, physically, and mentally to show that she was more than her non-existent magic. The only people who made her feel loved were her mother, sister, Uncle El (Eleazar Fig, aka Professor Fig), and Aunt Miriam (Miriam Fig).
You can read more about how exactly they meet in this post! (X)
Because of their connection and special bond, Florence was accepted into Hogwarts by a letter of recommendation from Professor Fig. Growing up, Eleazar and Miriam would tell her stories of their youth in Hogwarts. Since then, she had always dreamed of attending there, it was a new place she had never been to, of course, but it would also be a way for her to start a new life. And, oh boy, has it been an unexpected adventure for her.
Edit: oh my god thank you guys for the love and support 🥹🥹 means a lot to see people liking my bby🫶🏽🫶🏽💕

Musings of an old man (VI)
I was teaching a class… simple as that.
It was a regular Tuesday afternoon, I had my first-year students and we were discussing the First Fundamental Law of Magic. A rather simple concept, when you think about it. The more one tampers with the elementary magical laws, the greater and more formidable the consequences would be. A simple enough concept, yet so many dark wizards in the world tried their hand at breaking it on a daily basis.
The class itself was rather small as well, only about a dozen young minds interested in the course. I was seated on the head table, reading from the textbook when my attention was drawn away by a knock at the door.
To her credit, Professor Weasley kept her expression completely neutral. If anything, she had a soft smile on her face. It confused me, especially when she dismissed my class, claiming she needed my assistance. We stayed in my class till the students left, then she ushered me into my own office. After the fact I would be grateful for the privacy but in the moment I was extremely confused.
Matilda pulled a stool next to my desk chair and motioned for me to sit. I hesitated for a moment before joining her. She placed her hand gently in mine, tears welling in the corners of her eyes.
“I’m so sorry, Eleazar…” It was strange to hear such a quiet voice from such a strong woman, it didn’t seem to fit. I sat there trying to put the pieces together, it still didn’t make sense. What was she apologizing for?
“They found her this morning. They used her notes to identify her. She was alone… in a campsite to the south of Poidsear Coast near some ruins.” The more she spoke the less I listened. She couldn’t possibly be speaking of Miriam… my Miriam.
Miriam had just sent me an owl the day before, telling me about the ruins in Poidsear Coast, how excited she was to search them, how this could be another break in her research. Miriam couldn’t possibly be…
I stood from my chair, practically knocking it over with the force. The room was spinning around me and closing in all at once. I could no longer hear Matilda as she tried to console me, there was no helping at the moment. I may have accidentally pushed her, I cannot remember anymore, on my way out of my office. The journey seems a blur but I do remember rushing to my chambers as quickly as I could.
I had to write to her, I had to prove them wrong.
Several other professors attempted to assist me on my journey, I vaguely remember seeing Dinah and Abraham as I left the Astronomy Tower, but thankfully none of them tried to physically stop me. I shudder to think what would have happened had they tried.
I stumbled to the South Wing, through the doors of the Faculty Tower and nearly barreled into Aesop. He had been heading towards the door with Officer Ruth Singer.
“Ah, there you are, Eleazar.” He hardly used my first name… it was an informality saved for the rarest of occasions. Which meant… if Singer was here… and he was using my name…
Matilda caught up to me, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. My breathing became rapid, my heartrate was unsteady, my eyes unfocused, my hands shook. She shifted herself to wrap an arm around my shoulders to support me, thankfully so because any longer on my own and I would have probably collapsed.
“Why don’t we head inside, yes? We can… discuss this.” Matilda nodded to Aesop, who led the four of us to my chambers, the deputy headmistress gently depositing me into an armchair in front of the fireplace. I sat in silence for a few minutes before Aesop sat down next to me.
“Would you give us a moment?” He asked the two women, who both nodded and stepped out. I stared at the empty fireplace, not giving a damn if it was ever lit again. What would be the point? Would I even care to feel the warmth again?
“You won’t want to hear it from anyone else because I can assure you that there aren’t many other individuals in this building that have experienced this kind of loss besides you and Mudiwa, not that I am aware of at least.” He began, I could feel his eyes fixed on me as he spoke.
“But after I lost my partner, something changed. I lost a part of myself. She was the closest thing I could have ever imagined myself having to a spouse, so I can imagine the pain you are feeling… and I am going to tell you one of the oddest yet most comforting things I have ever heard when it first happened.” I managed to face him, a knowing look covering his features.
“In another time, in a happier place, you’ll meet again.” It would be an unfortunately long time before I remembered to thank Aesop for these words. However, he thankfully understood that it would take time for me to reach out.
He left soon after, and I assumed he took Matilda and Officer Singer with him, none of them returning that evening, and I was left in the silence of my chambers. It took a while to gather the will to move, and when I did I noticed a letter on a side table. I lifted myself from the chair and made my way to it, gently picking up the parchment with shaking fingers.
Eleazar,
You were right about the Bowtruckles. I owe you a Knut.
Miriam
I used the wall behind me to slide to the floor, pulling my knees to my chest as I placed the parchment back on the table.
I couldn’t get it wet with my tears… It was the last letter she had sent to me.

First Encounters, chapter 3
The following day, Eleazar and Miriam went to the market. As they made their way to Watson’s stand, Philip saw them and waved.
Miriam bought some vegetables while Eleazar got closer to Philip and greeted him in a low voice.
“Good morning, sir.”
“Good morning, Philip. I’m glad I found you.”
Miriam was finishing her shopping, a loaded basket on her arm. She approached her husband.
“Darling, this is Philip.” He looked at Miriam, that twinkle in his eyes.
“Nice to meet you, Mrs...” Philip wiped his hands on his trousers, not knowing if he should shake Miriam’s hand.
“Call me Miriam, please. My husband has talked a lot about you.”
She didn’t know if she should have said the last sentence, but Philip didn’t look scared.
“Does your boss mind if you have lunch with us? The market is calm now, I’m sure Mr Watson can manage.”
“I would love to. It’s not like the boss cares about us outside of payday, and even then…” he stopped for a few seconds. “We usually eat the food that can’t be sold, but it isn’t much.”
She wanted to hug the boy, but they waited until Watson closed the stall and turned the corner into the pub.
The three of them made their way to the flat. When they entered, Philip looked around, mesmerised. The decoration was simple, but it was so much better than the room he rented, shared with two other boys.
There were books in shelves and low tables, sharing space with artifacts Philip had never seen.
Miriam led him to a dining room and started setting the table. Philip wanted to help, but she didn’t let him. Eleazar appeared a little later, carrying a tray with a roast.
They ate and talked, almost like a family. Philip found out that Eleazar was a professor but felt it would be impolite to ask for details.
After they finished eating, Eleazar did the dishes while Miriam and Philip talked next to him.
“There’s a lot of roast beef left, and Eleazar and I can’t eat it all. Would you like me to pack you a few sandwiches? You’d only need to come here and pick them up if we don’t get to the market beforehand.”
Philip opened his mouth to object, but she reacted fast.
“I’m more than happy to do it, do not worry. I just want you to be well-fed.”
They talked until Philip had to leave, then Eleazar and Miriam went back to books and research. However, they couldn’t focus, both so happy about their successful mission of sorts.

How/where do you think Professor Fig and Miriam met?
I'd imagine they met at school! But I enjoy the idea of them not liking each other at first. He calls her petulant, and she calls him frumpy. They have a sort of rivalry going on until they discover that they can be top of the class if they combine his bookishness and her inquisitiveness. Once he confesses that he rather likes how she's not petulant but passionate, and she admits he's not frumpy but simply a romantic, affection and ultimately love start to blossom and they've been inseparablel ever since.

Maybe it’s because I was back on a Dr. Who kick recently, but I always imagined Miriam looking like Alex Kingston. Not sure why, that’s just the first person who came to mind.

Dead way before Tom arrived to their lives, but this is how Fig would react to MC's son
Fig: What a nice gentleman. And you said you weren't good with kids.
MC: He's a psychopat.
Fig: Didn't expect anything less. You raised him, didn't you? As they say, like mother like son.
Tom: *killing a poacher and rescuing kneazles*
Fig: I'm so proud of you.
Meanwhile...
Solomon: Another Sallow? And yours? I'm glad you killed me, so that I don't have to see my family name in most wanted lists. Why couldn't you've become a Gaunt. Suits you better.
Sebastian: *about to teach Tom the killing curse on his uncle*

Hello I am a big fan of your work But I have a request (if request are even open then u can ignore it) how would the HLC characters react to MC being able to transform into a Hungarian Horntail dragon? (Btw have a great day or night and drink water please)
A/N: Blog rules and request updates are put on the pinned post at the top of the blog! If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a DM :3
HLC REACT TO MC TURNING INTO A HUNGARIAN HORNTAIL
Tumblr media
MC still doesn't know the limits of ancient magic, but apparently, it includes being able to transform oneself into a powerful magical beast of their choice for a time. Today, the beast of choice was the ferocious Hungarian Horntail dragon. Admittedly, MC was just showing off.
They show their closest friends and mentor the full transformation and even a fireblast demonstration. Then they sit pretty to soak in the praise. They know they look cool.
SEBASTIAN SALLOW: His jaw was already on the ground when MC transformed, but it somehow got lower when he witnessed the 40ft jet of fire rise from MC's maw. Such POWER. He wants to see MC decimate a dark wizard outpost. Set fire to EVERYTHING!
OMINIS GAUNT: He can feel the rumble of the earth beneath him with every step MC takes. The heat of the flames makes him turn away. Just the low rumble from MC's throat sends shivers down his spine. This is the closest he EVER wants to get to the real thing. Even though he knows it's MC, it's a scary experience.
ANNE SALLOW: She's more collected than her brother, but still as excited over MC's ability to burn everything in their path. Just thinking about what MC could do with a single breath makes her giddy. She's as much a firebug as Sebastian, she's just better at keeping her head.
IMELDA REYES: She is a simple woman with simple interests. See dragon, must race. Fly MC! Show her what you're really made of! Bet she could fly circles around them. Bet they can catch her? Prove it!
NATSAI ONAI: She'll beat Poppy to the punch about asking for rides. The spines make it challenging but she'll figure something out. She grabs MC by the nostrils and gets in their face. "Let me ride you! ...wait, that sounded-... You know what I mean!"
GARRETH WEASLEY: He NEEDS to hear them roar. Dragons are so strong that they don't even need to use fire. A roar from a fully grown dragon at close range can shatter eardrums. You feel the shockwave of sound go through your body. His ears ring for a bit even though he covered them.
LEANDER PREWETT: He's feeling so inadequate as a wizard. He can barely balance on a broom right and MC can transfigure themself into a mother loving DRAGON. No fair...
AMIT THAKKAR: He's dying to know how this works. This is magic that's either never been seen or never recorded, because he's never even heard of anyone capable of this without being some sort of rare animagus. MC needs to be studied, and he's the one to do it. Next to the stars themselves, MC is the universe's greatest mystery.
EVERETT CLOPTON: Dragons scare the ever living shit out of him. They're big, powerful and sometimes go after broom flyers when hungry. Hell admire MC from a distance. Like, way back behind the stoney hill, distant. Please don't come closer, he will cry.
POPPY SWEETING: She's absolutely ECSTATIC! She can examine a powerful dragon up close that isn't trying to eat her. It's a dream come true! She does circles around MC, taking in every detail. She takes out a small, leather bound book and a piece of charcoal and sketches every part MC lets her study. When MC puts their snoot right up against her, she actually squeals a little with excitement. She gets to TOUCH a live dragon. She's on cloud nine and never wants to come down.
ELEAZAR FIG: When MC tells him this is something they could do thanks to ancient magic, the only thing he can think is: "Miriam would have loved to see this." He's so proud. MC is capable of way more than he ever thought. He only hopes to live long enough to witness the rest of the wizarding world realize the same.

‼️//HL SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE GAME//‼️
These drawings are based off of my character Florence Inkwood’s backstory
Eleazar Fig & Florence Inkwood first interaction:
Tumblr media
Their last:
Tumblr media
If you’d like to see and read more about my character, here’s a OC Sheet
When I finished the game I didn’t like how we didn’t get to see our character grief over Professor Fig, like I was tearing up when we saw him the one late time. It felt a little ingenue, like our character kinda brushed it off and the only time it’s talked about after the quest is with Professor Weasley and then immediately like “ok let’s see your grades”, which I understand there’s more to do but idk I felt like a funeral of sorts would’ve been a great addition to the great hall scene. Possibility a grave too for him, like why does Solomon get one and not Fig?!
So why not add a little more sadness to the tragedy of losing this precious man? (Also please excuse the baby I don’t draw them often enough to make them look cute… and hopefully I did a good job of making a younger Eleazar Fig, did my homework on what would be fashionable during his early years)
Before Eleazar became a teacher at Hogwarts, he was traveling the world helping his Wife Miriam to explore traces of Acient Magic and while on a trip in Massachusetts they happen to have met Florence’s father, Ottis Inkwood, who was a local in the town they were staying in. They become good enough acquaintances that Ottis offers the couple a place to stay in his home while they conducted their research there, thats where he meets the rest of Mr. Inkwoods family as well as Florence Inkwood, who was a baby at the time. She was known to be a huge crybaby, never wanting to leave her mother, Elva Inkwood, side at all. But for some reason when Eleazar was offered to hold her, she was immediately entranced by both him and his wife.
So from then on as they were still in town, Eleazar and Miriam had spent a lot of time babysitting her as a way to help out Elva, sometimes Eleazar would do it alone while Miriam was out exploring for traces of ancient magic. He’d tell her all sorts of stories from his travels, even if she couldn’t understand a word she enjoyed just hearing him talk. Ottis wouldn’t be very present for his children’s live as he was constantly working at his plant shop, so unconsciously Eleazar becomes a father figure and Miriam being a second mother to Florence.
I had couple of theories on why him and Miriam didn’t have kids yet, one idea was that she’s unable to have them no matter how hard they tried… another one could be that they decided not too since they’re traveling and it would cause a lot of unnecessary stress. But those were just some shower thoughts.
If y’all would like to hear more on this storyline I’d be happy to provide! I’m still working out certain kinks of this story but I have a whooooole note pad on my phone dedicated to this and many other ideas lol
Edited: I just made a short story for this story line if you are interested! (X)

Musings of an old man (III)
I would’ve followed her anywhere…
So after graduation, when she said she wanted to travel the world for a while I told her I would join her without hesitation. I didn’t relish the idea of her going off on her own, and I was not about to wait for her to ask me… stubborn girl would’ve waited till she was walking out the door for that. I had been courting her for a while, we had met each other's families and whatnot, so it came as a surprise to no one that we decided to venture into the world together.
Our adventure began as more of a vacation than anything, Miriam having wanted to see various locations around the globe before diving headfirst into her work, however we waited till later in the year for our venture to begin for a very specific reason. I was simply happy to oblige, and the two of us made our way to Norway of all places. The city of Tromso was beautiful in itself, however we were there for other reasons. The Hamperokken mountain was frigid, both of us needing multiple layers of clothing as well as strong warming charms, but the view was well worth it.
There is nothing in this world, magical or not, quite like standing on a mountaintop with the one you love staring up at the Northern Lights… nothing at all…
I knew it was now or never, I would never have another chance like this again. Before we had even left the Highlands, I had it custom made… a simple one, white gold, adorned with an ice-gray labradorite I had actually harvested myself. She was anything but traditional, so it was only fitting that this too was not traditional.
I unwrapped my arm from around her shoulders, taking a step back. She turned to me in confusion, tilting her head.
“Just taking in the entire view.” I tried to cover for myself, and for once it worked. She turned her back to me once again, looking up at the sky as I knelt down on one knee and slipped the ring out from my pocket. I cleared my throat, and she turned again, gasping and covering her mouth with her hands. I had never been able to surprise her before.
Forgive me for not wanting to disclose what exactly I proposed by saying, those words were meant for her ears alone. It only matters that she said yes… before shoving me into the snow and falling on top of me.
We did have to postpone our trip for a little while… I had accidentally let my warming charm fall in all the excitement and just so happened to slip into moderate hypothermia...

Dad!Ominis is the best fucking thing ever.
Crying, screaming rolling on the floor
What about Seb?
You know what, I have a lot of opinions about this one.
Under the cut because mentions of pregnancy and childbirth <3
I want to start this off by saying that Sebastian Sallow would be an amazing father.
When MC reveals they are pregnant, he goes on a roller coaster of emotions.
At first Sebastian would be over the damn moon that he's going to be a father. Like, MC has never seen him this happy in the entire time knowing him. He's excited, he gets started on a nursery right away, he tells the neighbours before you even have a chance to tell any family.
However, as the weeks go by the doubt starts to settle in.
Perhaps Sebastian doesn't deserve to be a father. Not with his past. Not with the things he has learned and the things he has done.
How could hands that have taken life hold new life? It seemed wrong. Sebastian was certain his touch would taint someone so new, innocent, and pure.
MC notices that Sebastian withdraws a little bit. He goes from constantly touching her belly and talking to his child, to just straight up avoiding her and avoiding talking about the baby.
Sebastian starts working more, taking on more cases and staying longer at the office in some attempt to buy his redemption. He had become an Auror to try and make up for what he'd done, and to try and prevent others from doing the same thing he did - why not try a little harder.
MC sits him down one night when he gets back from work very late and finally coaxes him into confessing his fears. MC reminds him that she too has killed, and she asks him if that would make her a bad mother. Sebastian is appalled at the notion, insistent that MC will be an amazing mother.
MC reminds him that the past is the past - it's not possible to undo what had been done - all she and Sebastian can do is learn from their mistakes and become the best people they possibly can. Sebastian is crying. He loves MC so freaking much.
Anne is happy for Sebastian. Five years after Solomon's death, the twins had spent a long time talking and had formed a tentative relationship again. Despite a lingering rift, the two were quite close again.
Or, if Anne has passed away, Sebastian visits her grave and lets her know she's going to be an Aunt.
He visits Solomon's grave as well.
Sebastian is convinced it's a girl. MC thinks it's a boy. They're both right. It's twins.
He reads to MC's belly, and MC is amazed that the baby always seems more active whenever Sebastian does so.
Cries the first time he feels the baby kick. It embarrasses him so much, but he's just so so so happy.
He'd be so obnoxious during the pregnancy, insistent that he'll do everything and MC should just sit there and look pretty and make their child. It drives MC insane, and it takes some sharp hexes to get him to relax a little bit.
Pre-parental panics like he's a sim in the Sims 4 when MC goes into labour.
Obviously they have twins. I'll play into that cliche so hard. A boy and a girl. Sebastian has a mini crisis over this. They name the twins after Sebastian's parents and Eleazar and Miriam Fig.
As they grow, the girl looks exactly like MC just with Sebastian's eyes and freckles. The boy is literally just Sebastian. MC wants to know where the hell her genetics went - until he gets an attitude and she understands that the poor boy has her temperament.
Sebastian is literally the most fun dad. He helps the twins play pranks on their unsuspecting mother. He takes them to Quidditch games all the time. He teaches them to fly on those mini-brooms.
He continues reading to them, this is something he does well into their early adulthood. The twins find it very relaxing.
Still has his doubts. Still has his bad days. Still is uncertain every step of the way, but he tries as best as he can - and to be honest, he's a wonderfully supportive and patient father.
I'm sorry but he's the stereotypical introduces himself to any of his daughter's male friends with a threat and always asks their intentions with his daughter.
Splits discipline with MC evenly, neither of them are the good parent/bad parent. Also helps with EVERYTHING. Often takes over and tells MC to go sleep because raising twins is a lot of work.
They're such a happy little family.

Reunion (one-shot)
Eleazar looked around, trying to find out where he was. It seemed familiar, yet something was off. The place looked just like King’s Cross station, but more ethereal.
Where am I? he thought while taking in the details. The last thing he remembered doing was helping Philip secure the cavern’s ceiling, before collapsing from his own injuries.
He touched his ribs, feeling them perfectly in place, as if nothing had happened.
He sat on a bench, waiting for something to happen. After what seemed like hours, someone sat next to him.
“Miriam?” he asked incredulously.
“Oh, Eleazar. I was not expecting you. I knew you would come but did not know it would be so soon.”
He got up and hugged her, tears streaming down his face. His hand then met hers, and he gripped it tightly.
“You look as beautiful as I remember, and I am glad to see you again, because I thought I wouldn’t... Even if I don’t know where we are. What is this place? It looks like King’s Cross, but it is… different.”
She smiled at him; her grey eyes focused on his blue ones. “It’s the limbo between life and death. It looks like King’s Cross because you could say it is like a train station, but you can only go forward.”
She stopped, and he knew she was going to ask a question. Something he may not have been ready to answer.
“How did you end up here? Also, is Philip alright?”
He told her everything. About the Ancient Magic, the Keepers, the repositories, Ranrok and how Philip and he had defeated him. How Ranrok had blasted open the repository using her wand. How the cavern would have later collapsed if it wasn’t for Philip.
How he had died, leaving Philip alone and an orphan. His voice broke, tears almost spilling from his blue eyes again.
Miriam hugged him, her voice calming him down.
“I’m proud of you, you did all you could to keep our boy safe. And I’m proud of him for saving Hogwarts. I miss him deeply. I wish he knew I am always thinking of him.”
“He remembers you fondly. It will be hard at first, but things will get better, or so I hope.” Eleazar replied with a soft smile. “Aesop is his guardian now; he is in good hands.”
They walked on the platform, hand in hand. Even if a train never came, they were together again.
