When RiD15 RatBat and his Mechservant Catilla began overseeing the Earth campaign for the Crown City bound Decepticons, the filthy rich bat decided to hedge his bets, and orchestrate an assassination of Optimus Prime. While technically retired, Optimus was still a major component of the new high council on Cybertron, and therefore a problem to his plans. Regardless of Optimus’ desires, a Prime was still required to lead Cybertron, even if Optimus tried to reduce it post war as a figure head while the council lead.

Able to manipulate a chain of events in his favor, a small unit of Decepticons insurgents, unable to be traced back to RatBat, attacked Optimus when he was diverted to a back road during road construction.

The Decepticons were successful in their attack, the Prime was dead. Or was he?

In actuality, Optimus had been saved by Smokescreen, and Phase Shifted to a secure location; the greying body left behind was the result of Light Bending tech and a long rusted Centurion drone. Heavily damaged, Optimus and Smokescreen agreed Optimus would remain a target, but Cybertron ultimately still needed a Prime, so once more, Smokescreen was offered the Matrix. Accepting, Smokescreen evolved into a new Prime, while Optimus reverted back into his original Orion Pax body.

After explaining the matter to Ratchet, Bulkhead, Ultra Magnus, Jazz and Windblade through a secure line, Smokescreen equipped Orion with Light Bender tech to disguise himself further. Afterwards Orion goes to rejoin the Council under a new temp identity, while Smokescreen takes the Matrix to Earth.

RatBat does realize soon something isn’t right, but for now is content Optimus is out of the picture. A bit too late he discovers via Steeljaw and Glowstrike’s units that the Matrix survived and is on Earth, and naturally he assumes it passed to Bumblebee, but was surprised it instead went to Smokescreen, or rather Facadimus Prime.

Apparently Smokescreen tried to call himself “Obfusimus Prime”, but Strongarm and Cloudraker thought it sounded too much like Optimus, while Sideswipe flat out called it stupid.

Facadimus was settled on, and when asked by Bee what he was doing here, the new Prime said he came observe Earth’s finest Autobot leader, and because Heatwave wasn’t available, he came to see Bee instead! Bee is unamused, but Facadimus reassures him he’s just kidding on the later. Indeed Facadimus does shadow Bee to figure out how to be a good leader, trying to piece together what he’s learned from Optimus too, but put his own rinse on it.

Strongarm and the others do find it a bit weird how the new Prime seems content to just let Bee mostly call the shots, while Facadimus respects that Bee is doing his own thing; there are times, though, Bee insists Fascadimus needs to take charge to get accustomed to his new role.

Later on, several members of Team Prime and the Bee Team find themselves caught up in the Legacy Wars, a multiversal conflict that saw Fascadimus Prime team up with Skybound Optimus Prime, Energon Sentinel Prime’s, TFA Optimus Magnus’ and G1 S4 Rodimus Prime’s teams to help clean up Jhiaxus’ and Staxxus’ ambitions. One unusual matter saw Facadimus, Predaking, Miko and Professor Princess deal with a Pony corrupted by Unicron’s scales thanks to Jhiaxus.

Braverman, Dean, Skybound Spike, Skybound Carly, Kicker, Mischa, Daniel, Nucle-Ai, Grahm, Thompson, Maddie, Meister, Sari, Russel, Charlie Watson-Clay, Fowler, Denny, Hank, Jack, Raf and Miko in particular met during this conflict and became friends.

Post Legacy War, the Cyberverse kids fell into the EarthSpark universe, and as part of Quintus Prime’s chosen, reunited with Facadimus Prime, Rodimus Prime and Energon Sentinel Prime’s crews once more to take part in the Age of the Primes conflict.

people treat the 2016 cast like they’re the only cast. ‼️THERE ARE OTHER ACTORS‼️ Trinity Theater Ferris Wheel cast has SUCH an amazing actor for Noel, RVJ has an amazing Ricky (my personal favorite is Connor Russell as Ricky in 2018 Seattle), Chaz Duffy is such an amazing and under appreciated Mischa, Chance Theater’s Ocean is so amazing, Trinity Theater Ferris Wheel cast has such a cutie patootie Constance, and Stone Soup has such an amazing Jane Doe. I personally feel like 2016 RTC is overrated. Today I’ve watched four different RTC productions, and they were all so amazing to watch. Looking at all the different interpretations for the characters is so amazing to watch. No hate to the 2016 cast, I just personally feel like people need to pay more attention to different actors, because they put in a lot of work for their roll.

There have been a lot of celebrity sightings at the show, and also off-Broadway, but only a few photos of celebrities have been posted on the official Merrily social media accounts (Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sutton Foster). Unlike other productions, Merrily continues to sell out every show, meaning that they don’t need constant PR so they rarely promote who is at the show.

Recent guests have included Melissa McCarthy (who went backstage and met the cast), Al Yankovic, Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessie Ware, Jon Bass, Lucy Hale, and many Broadway actors and friends.
