I finished Harrow the Ninth and I desperately need somebody to explain the book to me.

Oh, not the content, I followed that. I mean the book: This paperback has the oddest misprints smack in the middle. Pages are stuck together with content on both 'outer' sides. There are full pages that are half-printed, and overlayed by half-pages that contain the missing content. The half-pages look "torn" as opposed to being neatly cut, but they perfectly align with the pages beneath them.

It's all perfectly legible, but I've never had a book misprinted like this. I've seen pages being missing before, and misprinted text, but this is extensive-yet-not-content-interference.

Is this deliberate? An attempt to replicate Harrow's own skewed perceptions? Is this an immersion style?

Or did I just buy a bizarrely mishandled book?

Did anybody else's copy have these same issues?
