This is the 102nd installment of 'Since I've Been Gone'. Taken on 2020 26th October during my time with @americanconservationexperience, we left Iowa the day before. But first, we rested in Joplin, MO for our journey back to Corpus Christi and were in the process of leaving. Before that could happen, I was able to find this sizable roadside sallow moth (Metaxaglaea viatica). This lovely was floundering around on the hot sidewalk this morning, being harassed by a cardinal. I gently scooped up the moth to give it a ride to some shade, but it was in full freak-out mode and took off toward the road and open sky... just to be chased by a sparrow.
