I think I was too hard on Kagami
SPOILER WARNINGS ABOUT THE SEASON 5 BIBLE AND LEAKS
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Those who follows my posts now me a others fans ranted a lot about Kagami beleiving the lies of a girl she barelly knows instead of trusting her friendship with Marinette. At first I really was angry at Kagami's character and thought that I would grow to dislike her for the rest of season 5.
I thought Kagami putting more trust in Lila than in Marinette made her a bad friend. But hen I took the time to put myself in Kagami's shoes, and I came to this conclusion : can we really blame Kagami for not being a good friend ? Or rather ... can we really blame HER for not being that good at friendship and letting herself being manipulated ?
Because first, I recently discover that Lila will manage to befriend Kagami and gain her trust during the episode 12 Perfection, which would better explain why Kagami will trust Lila's words when the liar will try, and unfortunatelly manage, to turn Kagami against Marinette in the episode 16 Protection.
Tumblr media
Second, by taking Kagami's background before meeting Adrien into account, I came to the conclusion that having been friendless and isolated by her mother during most of her life not only stopped Kagami from developping proper social skills, but it also left her more vulnerable and mostly ignorant about how friendship works.
But Kagami guenuinly wants friends, and I think a part of her is starved for love and affection after having been denied this by her mother for so long. And let's not forget the only advice Tomoe ever gave her daughter about friendship : "friendship can be a source of disappointment"
Knowing that I think Kagami is a state of mind where she can be easilly led to question her relationships with others.
The trailers and leaks from the episode Perfection seem to imply that a misunderstanding could cause Kagami to doubt her friendship with Marinette, things that can happen to people in real life even when they guenuinly care a lot about their friends.
At first all of this would not have been enough to calm my disappointment towards Kagami, because it still gives me the impression that whenever Lila is involved, Marinette can never count on anyone beside Adrien (who is too passive against Lila for my liking) to believe and support her, a situation which seems very unfair to me. But leaks on episodes 18 and 19 showed me that even after episode 16, Kagami will still considers Marinette as her precious friend. So even though Kagami continues to see Lila as a friend after episode 16, part of me is really satisfied that Kagami will visibly reverse her bad judgment in Protection, and that her friendship with Marinette may triumph over Lila's vile manipulations
Also I realized that hating Kagami for temporarily turning against Marinette wasn't fair from me since a similar thing happened between Peter Parker aka spider-man and his best friend Harry Orborn (for those who know the comics), and I still love the friendship between those two characters as ever.
Come to think of it Harry Osborn does share similarities with both Kagami and Adrien, he's friend with the main superhero character behind the mask, he suffered from an abusive parent, and he's the child of a supervillain who is one of the biggest Nemesis of the superhero protagonist.

I decided to write down the most striking information from the season 5 bible leak. DO NOT INTERACT if you want to go into the season blindly but do interact if you want to discuss it. Heavy spoilers under the cut.
A few things to note before we go on:
The document's final revision is from 2020, this means that THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT FINAL and the information might differ from what we will be seeing in the end product.
Also, a show's bible is meant to go over the key points of the story and characters, it's not necessarily a synopsis of everything that you'll see in the show so save yourself the immediate belief that the season is going to suck because character A or thing B are not mentioned in length here.
The bullet points go in order of appearance in the document, hence the jumps in subjects.
With that out of the way, let's start. FINAL WARNING, leave if you don't want to be spoiled.
----------------
It is revealed that Marinette had a crush on Kim prior to the show starting. Confessing was a bad experience for her (thanks to Chloe) and that's the reason as to why she's so hesitant to confess to Adrien.
At the very end of the season, Ladybug and Chat Noir will finally be able to use their special powers without transforming back. They'll be able to use Lucky Charms/Cataclysms more than once.
Adrien will find the courage to tell Gabriel that he doesn't want to be a model.
Adrien realizes that he feels something special towards Marinette and, realizing that Ladybug will never love him back, he decides to pursue her instead.
Adrien and Marinette will have their first kiss on episode 23 "Collusion".
Gabriel, owing a favor to Tomoe Tsurugi, wants Adrien to be with Kagami.
Nathalie is described in the document as "eventually emerging as a surrogate mother to Adrien".
We will either see or hear what happens when Chat Noir uses his Cataclysm on a human being in the episode "Destruction"
Ladynoir's relationship will change; without Chat Noir's flirting and with Ladybug finally accepting that she needs him (no longer pushing him away), they become a perfect duo of platonic, supportive friends.
Lady Noire and Mister Bug make an appearance in Season 5 once more.
Ladybug will be merging the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous herself becoming "BugNoire".
The merging of the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous create a brand new Kwami whose ability is to grant a wish (Like Dragon Ball's Shenron). The magic formula is found within the Grimoire; Gabriel, however, does not know how to decipher it. This is why his goal is to find someone who does.
Ladybug/Marinette finds out Hawkmoth's identity. Chat Noir/Adrien, however, will NEVER learn about it.
Nathalie was introduced to the Agrestes by Mrs. Tsurugi. She was hired because she was a hunter of magical artifacts.
Nathalie is secretly in love with Gabriel and follows him blindly, however, she has a secret plan for herself and wishes to fuse the miraculous so that her own wish can be granted: Make Gabriel fall in love with her.
Monarch will akumatize people and then send out a miraculous their way this season.
At the end of the season, Gabriel will give up the butterfly miraculous and someone else will get a hold of it: Lila.
Lila has several identities and several families, somehow. She goes by Lila Rossi, Cerise and Iris Verdi for different scenarios.
Scarabella will make a comeback for the two episode special.
Chloe's butler's name is Armand; he's the only person who cares for Chloe. More about this will be brought up in the episode "Adoration".
Zoe has feelings for Marinette, but she doesn't dare to tell her. This will also come up in episode "Adoration".
Zoe will become the holder of the Black Cat miraculous during the two-part special.
Contrary to popular belief, there are no written implications about Juleka and Rose's relationship despite it being shown on-screen. Neither are there any implications about Marc and Nathaniel's.
Kim was ALSO in love with Marinette in 8th grade. He is said to be the root of Marinette's problems in the episode "Derision".
Kagami is described as having "powerful feelings" towards both Adrien and Marinette.
Luka will leave in Mid-Season 5 as to not compromise the identities of Ladybug and Chat Noir. He will leave with Jagged to Brazil, where he meets with Su-Han who will teach him Mirakung-fu. He'll go back to Paris in the finale.
Felix's new identity as the Peacock holder is called "Argos".
There will be several instances where we're reminded of Marinette's anxiety, mostly induced by her fears both as a civilian but also as Ladybug.
Marinette gives up on Adrien (or attempts to) and starts realizing that she may have feelings for Chat Noir, who has changed a lot since the end of S4.
Adrien asks Marinette out, which further complicates her feelings since she believes her crush on Adrien is detrimental.
Marinette is convincing herself that the one she loves is Chat Noir in order to forget about Adrien but he, who has given up on Ladybug, is intent on pursuing Marinette this time around.
There will be an apparent complete reversal of the lovesquare which may only culminate with Andre The Ice Maker's appearance to help them figure some things out.
Plagg and Tikki hurt from watching Marinette/Ladybug and Adrien/Chat Noir struggle with their feelings, which is why they opt for removing their miraculous and handing them out to other holders (Alya and Zoe).
Marinette thinks Zoe has a crush on Adrien. We know that that isn't quite the case and she is the object of Zoe's affection instead.
Lila and Chloe become the next class representatives. Lila is able to manipulate and control Chloe; because of their joint efforts, they become Monarch's strongest minions.
------------------------
I think the only three things I heavily dislike are:
1. The fact that Adrien will NEVER find out about his father 2. Lila is not a compelling character, so the show is definitely going to suffer with her as the lead villain. 3. Felix is not mentioned much, if at all. Seems like the sentimonster arc might take a backseat but then again, things could've changed during production from 2020 to 2022.
But other than that, I don't see why anyone would read the document and firmly believe that it's underwhelming. If anything, I find most of it extremely exciting compared to the other seasons. Only time will tell.... but anyway, until then, don't miss today's release of episode 1!

Adrien and Marinette screwing each other's character development
That's literally what happened in season 5.
5 seasons of Adrien trying his best to break free of his dad's abuse and control only for Marinette to honors Gabriel's wish and make him believe he was a hero and a good parent, despite having front seat at his abuse, on top of fighting him, and Gabriel made the both of time cry. So now Adrien will forever think his father was a good man, when he was not. He will like his abuser, when the last episode showing them together has Adrien showing nothing but hatred toward his father for thinking he knew better for him when he was just doing what he wanted Adrien to do and not what Adrien wanted himself.
We spent 5 seasons watching Marinette trying and failing to confess to Adrien, only for him to confess to her instead which rendered kind of all her efforts pointless, on top of not having to learn the many lessons that she should have, like regarding his private life, or start seeing him as a person and not a perfect angel who can't do no wrong. They even had some jokes at her behavior, behavior that they later learned was because she had a traumatic experience which made her decide that the next poor sod that would catch her attention would not be permitted to have a private life whatsoever, just because she made an error of judgement and didn't listen to her friend's warning, something she keeps doing repeatedly during the series. She just gets her boyfriend and never has to change her behavior, and he doesn't get to maybe get mad or creeped out at all the stuff she did for him while she could barely speak to him, let alone struggle to stay close less she ran away out of being scared to ask him out. So her toxic behavior also doesn't get to be toned down. Biggest example is after learning that Gabriel is Monarch, she goes to speak to him because she wants Adrien back, not to stop Monarch once in for all. She has to when he finds her in his house and she can't hide much longer.
The main difference, Marinette has been aware since forever that Gabriel was pretty controlling with Adrien and got depressed over it several times since it meant she couldn't hang out with him. And she still sided with his abuser because she didn't want Adrien to deal with the backlash of knowing his father was the local terrorist of the city. A guy she spent 5 season fighting, and spent the last episode of season 5 beating up because he prefered to go with his crazy scheme instead of respecting his wife's last wish. And she decides to respect Gabriel's last wish instead of being honest with Adrien and the rest of the city, which I'm sorry to say, is beyond horrible of her. People deserves the truth, so does Adrien, stop coodling him like his father tried, he doesn't need it.
Meanwhile Adrien just learned in the last season that she had a crush on him. And saw her doing some pretty weird stuff, but never truly saw the real depths as to how far Marinette was willing to go to get his love. He didn't see her bully Kagami, he didn't see her lie and manipulate her parents to make her follow him to Shangai and abandoning her uncle on his birthday just to go stalk him, among other stuff. So he isn't aware of the worst of Marinette, and half of it he thinks she's just weird because to him that's how she's always been, weird and quirky but still charming and cute somehow.
I kind of just realised that while reading other posts about those subjects and just saw that they both ruined each other's development, Adrien unintentionally and Marinette, intentionally.
EDIT: chocolatevoidpizza made me realize I was victim blaming Marinette for the cruel prank she went through in Derision via the line "just because she made an error of judgement and didn't listen to her friend's warning".
That is unfair on Marinette and I apologize for writing that and take it back.
I however won't delete it cause I need the reminder to not have a repeat of that and I need the lesson.
So thank you chocolatevoidpizza for opening my eyes and knocking sense back into me.

ALL I am asking for is the season finale to be HEAVILY focused on the trials Marinette and Adrien will face as heroes and THEIR fight with Monarch. Please that’s all I want.

It's peak comedy that every Feligami leak I find is them crying how they are monsters and they want to be normal and then every Chlolila leak I find is them being normal but want to be monsters and Félix and Kagami are telling each other "you're the most beautiful creature on this world I will love you forever" while Chloé and Lila are like "bitch do your best by doing your worst slay why commit murder alone when we can commit murder together"

Correct me if I am wrong (APPROPRIATELY THOUGH), but regarding the "Civilian Marinette gets slammed into concrete wall by Monarque to the point where the WALL breaks but somehow Marinette is still fine" in Déflagration, I do remember now that people are bringing it up that back when I read the leaks these two times that Kwamis Choice was described very differently in it.
I guess watch out, 100% outdated leak spoilers or maybe even not entirely correct memories of mine ahead? For this episode you already saw because it aired?
Zoe was Sole Destroyer + Kwami power of destruction (which makes ALOT more sense), Monarque had his own Lucky Charm (which is also something I found sad didn't happen in Canon) but most importantly, I swear to God I believe remembering that the initial Lucky Charm created by Tikki WAS the Ladybug-disguise suit with which Marinette could return into battle even without her Miraculous.
Cause I remember reading what Tikkis lucky charm is and immediately going "yeah that makes sense, that's how Marinette gets into battle" and that definitely wouldn't be the case if it had been a bin. So I do believe the initial Lucky Charm was a suit which is probably the reason why the wall-slamming moment is a thing in the first place.
Initially the magical lucky charm suit probably WAS supposed to be the explanation for why Marinette can endure that as civilian (which in my opinion would have been a perfectly fine explanation, I can work with a magical lucky charm suit) but then at some point Kwamis Choice got a massive rewrite and now we have a couple of awkward leftover elements of the old version that feel off in Canon (like Chloé for some reason getting akumatized into ZOÉ'S akuma form. Switch-arounds like that normally do not happen).
Of course the wall-slamming moment is the worst offender in this regard cause holy SHIT that should have killed civilian Marinette 10 times over! The show is normally pretty consistent with not overpowering civilian characters or making them realistically vulnerable in comparison to the Miraculous Holders ect, so that moment didn't just break every bone in Marinette’s body, it also broke LONG established world building.
I do wonder what caused this massive rewrite though and why old moments like this were still kept despite of not making sense anymore. The initial script also seemed to have been a stronger story, especially Zoe/ Kitty Noire wise.

Gloob released a video showing this scene. This is from Episode 20 where Lila gets akumatized, which makes me think Gloob already has it.
I am so excited for this episode. It’s the important Lila episode of the season. Script leaks have shown this will be the episode where we learn about her other two moms, and we are supposed to see Scarabella in this episode.

Last season 5 bible related post ever probably, since i'm trying to just focus on the season 5 premiere and be positive, but thought I should get this out there: after having slept on it, some consideration, and reading others posts, i've come to the conclusion that while many parts of the bible are real, other parts are fabricated and/or are outdated and have gone through changes since written, and that maybe we shouldn't worry too much after all.
I have several (non-spoiler) reasons for this i'll lay out:
-The premiere dates at the top have not been updated, since they still read season 5 premiering in 2020.
-There are some inconsistencies/falsehoods seen in the bible that just do not go with canon (this doesn't spoil anything so i'll say it, but the bible says that Nino reveals to Adrien he is carapace in a season 5 episode, when we know that it happened in season 4).
-There are occasional grammar/ spelling mistakes.
-A lot of it feels oddly fanfic-y, and weirdly enough these parts have...strange little asides and a lot of exclamation points? (Example not in the bible but so you get the vibe: "and surprise!!! character A secretly does fan fic thing here!!!"). These parts feel really weird for a professional season bible presented to companies, and feel shoehorned in last minute. (also, since the zoe part in particular seems to be the thing people are saying is a lie, lemme just say I 100% believe that part lmao. I'm talking about other sections.)
-And, this one is 100% OPINION, a lot of what is said in regards to the ending just feels as though it has been changed. Idk, with the way it's worded and everything, I have the strangest feeling that if everything else is true, the ending is faked. Also, if you really wanted to change anything in the original document to trick the masses, the ending of the season is probably the thing you'd aim for.
A lot of people are saying that they are pulling an Alex Hirsch with this whole thing, but A) Writing 113 pages worth of false info and trademarking each and every page seems a little excessive and B) the synopsis and other things seem to be 100% real, IMO.
Personally, I like to believe that a lot of it is true, because a lot of it DOES feel true (again, the synopsisis have to be real), but also that A LOT of it is fake/have undergone editing in the event of a leak. So much of it just seems so off.
So y'all, I wouldn't worry too much about it anymore, TBH. People on tumblr aren't talking about these spoilers, and the ones that are are giving proper warnings, and, again, me and a lot of others have the same gut feeling parts are faked. So while this is easier said than done, I suggest we just... stop worrying! Obviously you should prolly stay off twitter for the time being anyway, and filter what you feel you need to filter, but coming from the person who brought the attention of the ml season 5 bible to a lot of people on tumblr, I now say/believe we should just... focus on enjoying the season as it comes out! What happens happens and, hey, it's miraculous ladybug, what can you really do at the end of the day?

Mlb bible leak
oh ye lila who is a literal kid and was seen as just someone who lied to impress ppl has fake mums and identities and gonna be the villain ok
Lol the shows was hospitalised in s3, then a funeral in s4 and the rest is just basically necromancy gone wrong cos the show should just RIP instead of trying to use the corpse of a show.
When mlp leaks happened I felt bad given how hard they were trying to develop characters and show other relationships.
When this show got leaked I really could not care cos most of it I expected;
LB is indispensable unique leader and everyone isn't inc CN despite the whole ying and yang and him being in the show name wow shocker
gabriel gets a redemption even tho he's manipulative abusive garbage real great
Zoe who's literally just there cos the creator hates chloe's guts is gonna be CN for a 2 parter ep fun
CN stops pursuing LB not cos he realises that it's wrong to pursue someone who persistently rejects you but cos he's crushing on marrinette uhuh
Oh ye and LB gets more powers and more ridiculously OP which I can't be bothered to understand cos her power list is pretty much a god damn research paper
Oh ye and cherry on top adrien never know gabriel i.e. shitty parent of the year was HM the one who basically terrorised paris inc his friends to get his mother back to life which he doesn't know been under his home and one reason why his "dad" been too busy to even literally look at him despite him working at home and ridiculously rich. Yay more lies (cos lies are only bad with lila and chloe)

My fears confirmed or allayed for Miraculous season 5 ?
SPOILER WARNING ABOUT THE SEASON 5 BIBLE AND SOME LEAKS ABOUT THE EPISODES 12, 16 and 18
.
.
.
So recently I posted some images from a leaked teaser about the future season 5 episode 18 Emotion, and showing Kagami interracting in a friendly manner with the infamous Liela.
Tumblr media
Since then a very short clip about that scene has been leaked too, and from the english dialogue it's easy to deduce that to our great sorrow and misfortune, Kagami has indeed become friends with Lila T_T T_T T_T.
It is still too soon to tell if they became friend in the episode 16 Protection when Kagami will be akumatized because Lila manipulated her into thinking Marinette is an horrible person, or if they had already became aquaintances and grew closer before that episode (I'm thinking about the episode 12 Parfection where Kagami will also be akumatized and I think saw a leak about Lila being relevant in this episode)
I don't know if the possibility of Lila managing to pretend to be a friend to Kagami before episode 16 helps me think less badly of Kagami and the fact that she will let herself be bamboozled by Lila against her own friend in episode 16, or if it doesn't really change my disappointment with her character
Because I still think people who can turn their back on you and think the worse of you because someone they know less than you came and told them lies about you, then they aren't true friends. Even if false proofs were used to convince them (like a doctored video or recording) a true friend would want to verify their authenticity.
So I still question if Kagami is a true friend to Marinette or not.
Fortunatelly, another fan informed me that thanks to some leaked parts of the episode 18 script and the synopsis of episode 19 Pretension, Marinette and Kagami will still remain friends after episode 16 TvT. But I don't know if Kagami will realize on her own that she was wrong to have believed such outrageous things about her friend or if it's either Adrien or Ladybug who will encourage Kagami to reconcile with Marinette. And I hope its' the first option because otherwise it will show that Kagami is not a good friend for Marinette if her trust in her can be shaken so easily and somoene else has to tell her she must fix things.
But the fact that Kagami is even staying friend or becoming friend with the person that led her to believe the worst of her friend Marinette in the first place is a very uncool and alarming thing for Kagami to do.
But I'm very curious about the lies Lila will use to stay in Kagami's good graces after lying to her about Marinette. Maybe Lila will once again use her illness excuse about saying and doing things she has no control over, or maybe she will pretend to have misjudged Marinette and use crocodile tears to apologize to Kagami
Personally, I wouldn't want to remain friend with somoene that can be turned so easilly against me and become friend with a person who lied about me in the first place.
I love Miraculous, but sometimes it seems that the ml writers don't know a lot about how healthy friendships work, because their two main characters are surrounded by friends who arent' always that good of friends to them.

no one asked, but here’s what i think about the finale. it will probably be the end of school year and whatever’s going down will probably happen during the dance. lila will probably steal the butterfly miraculous and become the new super villain. i have a feeling adrien and marinette won’t be together, either because they have a fallout or because adrien goes away. gabriel either he goes away too or, you know, actually dies.

I don't know if it's just me but it feels like the writers deliberately thrown out Adrien's support system so he's become dependent on Marinette and Marinette alone and I don't think it's good for him.
I don't think it is ill-intentioned. I think it is more the writers team wanting to keep the story focused, but in S5 especially, it is truth there is a lack of narratives involving Adrien considering other aspects of his life other than his love life which is probably why you feel that way (and I'm pretty sure you aren't the only one).
It's not like during S4. The narrative during that season did "put aside" Chat Noir to better illustrate what Ladybug was doing to him and as viewers, we better understand his sentiment of feeling left out. And this lead him to get this interesting arc of questioning himself. Who is he inside Ladybug's team? Who is he as Adrien? What about his future? What does he want to do later? The scenes he got as so important and critical in his evolution during this arc of his.
In S5, it feels like Adrien is more out to figure how he can be a good boyfriend and setting an example for the young audience.
Not a bad thing by itself. Not to mention I don't often see male characters having this kind of narrative in fiction. That is when the characters do become an item before the end of the show/season and that we don't got that couple broke up the next following. We notably didn't have the chance to have this when Marinette and Adrien were respectively dating Luka and Kagami. Though I do like that Kagami, in her case, point out how envious she is that Adrien has now put up the work and fell back in love with him. For me, this is candy.
Anyway, relationship is work. From both sides. And I really like that Miraculous is giving it attention.
Though it is true that once Adrien starts officially dating Marinette, we don't see much scenes of him with Plagg, with Nino, with the other boys alone or any other character than doesn't revolved of him talking about Marinette. Even with Ladynoir interactions are very few now. (sorry, I am missing them).
Marinette has also a lot of focus on her love life as well this season again, but it is a least a bit more balanced with side stories. Like the miscommunication with Kagami during Perfection. Her trauma. The organization of the bal with Zoé during Adoration. Both Chloé and Lila causing her problems. Whatever is happening with Félix/Argos.
For Adrien, it was different at the beginning of the season. Especially with Evolution or even better Illusion in which we got that story involving how Adrien felt about his image used like that for Alliance, Gabriel trying now to be "involved" in his son's life, La Résistance.
Or in Passion, we got a bit of his relationship with Nathalie where he is reacting about the fact she is sick and don't know what he can do to help.
In Intuition, we do see Adrien gets a bit preoccupied by his father's health, but then Gabriel says to him that he is just overworked and wants to work less and be more present for his son, only for to answer his phone and leave the room with his father's permission. Like Karma right back at Gabriel, but at the same time, I hope this will go somewhere. There was an opportunity there even if Gabriel doesn't deserve it.
And we do get this scene in Pretension where Adrien goes to his room as ordered by his father but is paralyzed and cannot go back to support Marinette. Or have Adrien react with disgust at Gabriel after learning that he will move to London once the school year is over. Illustrating how Adrien is still at Gabriel's mercy, feels he is scared or furious at his father. But hey! At least, we have Adrien keeping out this thing about having to move to London a secret to Marinette for now.
So there is tension in the father and son, and I'm glad there is, but Marinette is the only catalyst when it isn't Nathalie backing up and protecting Adrien behind the scene. And on top of that, Félix decides to switch his attention to Kagami instead of Adrien and hasn't yet told him anything.
Like, please, have someone in this household tell this boy the freaking truth about what is going on so we can see him react a bit and contribute to move things out as well in the best of his abilities.
Anyway, despite this, with 7 episodes left to conclude the Agreste Arc. I'm still interested to see where this is going. And with Season 6 and 7, I'm curious to see what will be next.

Now that I think about it, at the end of season 5, at the very least 5 people on the miraculous team knows that Marinette is Ladybug. Alya, Kagami, Felix, Luka and probably Alix with the time travel stuff. Meanwhile Chat Noir still doesn't know. Somehow it annoys me to no end.

what if the reason we haven’t gotten any more miraculous season 5 episodes yet is because after the bible leak thomas astruc is scrambling to rewrite season 5 to prove the bible false.
this would not be the first time in the show he clearly changed his plan
