What if Gabriel’s wish was to have Adrien be the one to wish back Him and Emilie?

Oh sure he knew Emilie wouldn’t want to be brought back by His wish. But her baby boy? One that missed his parents SOOO much? She would be forgiving of that.

But How would that work?

Well, set up the circumstances to line it up.

Have Ladybug/Marinette Lie about his end with some clever emotional manipulation.

Keep Nathalie alive as the legal guardian so no one digs too deep into the Agreste finances.

Tomoe to run a good PR campaign that makes Him look even better.

But how would these events be set in motion to convince Adrien to go and do that?

Well that’s the beauty of the wish? A certain butterfly villain that knows everything could stir up everything and bring Adrien to that “Natural” conclusion.

How will Miraculous Balance Lila lack's of ressources and power compared to Gabriel against the Miraculous Team ?

While surfing on a Miraculous Ladybug Reddit, I found a fan suggesting that Miraculous season 6 may be forced to introduce new super villains that have nothing to do with Lila, because for what little we know, Lila is just no match for Team Miraculous on her own.

Even if her excellents talents as a chameleon and manipulator can allow Lila to create numerous situations to her advantage to trigger akumatizations, and to potentially sow discord among heroes ("divide and conquer" as they say), the existence of magical charms that can now purify akuma in an almost Utopian Paris (and thus filled with a lot more positive emotions than in a previous full of corruptions), and the fact that Ladybug and Cat Noir are now capable of using the cataclysm and the lucky charm to infinity without detransforming put Lila in a serious disavantageous situation.

In the world of Miraculous where magic and the existence of meta-humans/mutants is common place, to introduce new original super villains who would attack Paris and ally themselves with a Chrysalis offering to make them stronger by akumatizing them would indeed be a plausible solution in the future season 6.

The problem for Lila is that according to the latest news, she does not have the same wealth or the same resources as Gabriel. The latter had his secret garden where he regularly harvested numerous butterflies which later became his akuma, in order to never fall stranded and to be able to continue attacking the heroes every day and thus give them very little respite, but also to be able to launch attacks of the scale of the scarlet butterfly.

I am certain that an akuma purified by Ladybug then becomes unusable, and we do not yet know if it is enough for a butterfly miraculous wielder to detransform then retransform so that their cane is always automatically equipped with an akuma if the the latter had just been purified. However, a wielder of the butterfly miraculous acting for good does not seem to have to worry about the same problem, because we saw in the Paris special that Betterfly could use the same kamiko, which he keeps in his weapon, to kamikoze more than one person at a time in a short period of time. Especially since Betterfly's kamiko seems to be fast enough to avoid being purified if Betterfly were to free its allies from their power just before the kamikozed object get destroyed (and in any case Betterfly doesn't have to worry about that. since the Ladybug of his world has become his ally). And in order to be able to create a second kamikozed champion without linking it to the same kamiko as the first, simply lend the butterfly miraculous to an ally so that the latter is also entitled to their own kamiko to use.

However Betterfly also showed us why having only one magical butterfly supplied with his weapon was a big disadvantage compared to Gabriel's akuma garden : the fact that Ladybug was able to find Hesperia by tracking down her only kamiko , which should automatically return to its creator. Gabriel didn't have to worry about his akuma being used to track him, because no purified akuma has ever returned to him, and an unpurified akuma can multiply, or Gabrie himself can certainly break the connection ( in the episode Ladybug, we saw the scarlet akuma turn white again and therefore "purified" after Gabriel transformed).

We do not yet know if the butterfly miraculous will always provide Lila with a new akuma in her weapon each time the previous akuma is purified by Ladybug, or if like Gabriel Lila will be forced to regularly harvest butterflies to make akumas. Especially since with only one akuma at her disposal, Lila could possibly be hunted down, unless she detransforms just in time after each fight. But unless Lila joins forces with Tomoe Tsurugi and asks for her help in creating her own butterfly garden, I don't think Lila won't have the same luxury that Moth/Shadowmoth/Monarch had.

Another fan confirmed that this idea would indeed be the best direction to take.

Although I think Lila will learn to create megakuma very quickly, magical charms can still work against them by being fueled by positive emotions. And as I said above, in the new Paris, positive emotions are likely to be much more widespread than negative emotions in a Paris that is no longer under the reign of a corrupt mayor and his equally wealthy corrupted partners.

This I can only see 4 ways in which Lila/Chrysalis could gain the upper hand over Ladybug and Cat Noir and become a more dangerous threat than Gabriel :

Create an alliance with Tomoe Tsurugi or another supervillain we don't yet know about, and give him access to other supervillain allies that Lila could easily manipulate into becoming her pawns..

Unlock powerful new powers never before seen with the Miraculous Butterfly, until you reach a power, able to counter that of Ladybug's magical charms.

Succeed in stealing miraculous from her future school friends, and even then the task will be difficult because apart from the ladybug, the black cat, the rabbit and the peacock, the other miraculous have changed shape, which could prevent Lila from recognize most of the magical jewels and steal them (unless she manages to discover with her tricks who and who within the miraculous Team)

Reveal to all of Paris the truth about Gabriel Agreste = Papillon/Papillombre/Monarch, and the fact that Ladybug voluntarily hid this truth, with the aim of sowing doubt and discord throughout Paris and within the Miraculous team, thus giving Lila more means to act and turning certain heroes and citizens against Ladybug

Without that I don't see how Lila can become a credible threat to Ladybug and Cat Noir.

This could also explain why Lila mentioned looking forward to meet Marinette again while putting the butterfly brooch on her, yet without mentioning Ladybug (if we assume that Lila doesn't know that Ladybug = Marinette). Maybe this is because Lila should be intelligent enough to understand that the power alone of the butterfly miraculous is no longer sufficient against Ladybug, and Lila must therefore at the beginning have only intended to use the powers of the miraculous against Marinette to ruin her life (what more easy than akumatizing herself into Chameleon or Volpina)

However, let's find out what scared Lila at the end of Re-creation first when season 6 comes out, and figure if it will play an important role in her future role as a butterfly super villain or not

ML Season 5 Finale

It’s the show’s pattern that at the end of the season Marinette makes a mistake and must face the repercussions in the next season. She forgot to change back when meeting with Master Fu and she lost her mentor, and she had to deal with new responsibilities as a guardian with hardly any experience. She mistook Félix for Adrien and she lost the Miraculouses. What mistake has she made now?

She fought alone when she said that they should fight together when she was hiding in the kitchen. But what was she supposed to do? Although I totally understand that it would be great for Adrien to fight his own father, it’s already been established that when Adrien finds out his father is the villain in dramatic circumstances, it doesn’t end well. Adrien recognising his unstable state and giving up his powers was a sign of maturity. He also had the occasion to fight his father as Chat Noir and tell him off (S5 Representation). Of course it’s not nearly as satisfying as Gabriel knowing the truth about Chat Noir, but it’s also more in line with what the show has been telling us.

She trusted Gabriel. However, eventually it turned out OK. Gabriel was forced to listen to Emilie and chose to save Nathalie who died because of his actions. This wasn’t a selfless sacrifice, but it wasn’t a totally selfish action either. In that moment it was the best possible outcome, because he was dying anyway due to his own wrong choices.

Marinette lost the Butterfly Miraculous. I’d call it an accident, not a mistake, and you can’t really learn anything from an accident as opposed to mistake; but in the pessimistic variant this is her mistake and the consequence is Lila becoming a supervillain; Gabriel is “redeemed” and Adrien will never know the truth about his father.

Marinette lied about Gabriel dying a hero. I think that is the mistake that will have the greatest impact on season 6. What’s more, this mistake is related to Adrien (she doesn’t want to hurt him), just like her previous mistakes.

We can see signs that her mistake may have bad consequences in the future:

The scene with the shining, smirking statue (resembling Chloé’s statue) and Tomoe talking about continuing Gabriel’s legacy is rather disturbing. If it were Ms Bustier giving speech and the statue were less shiny and more serious, the scene would give less villanous impression. The statue is a clear, visible symbol of the lie.

During the kissing scene we can hear a little worrisome and sad theme. If it’s a happy ending, why is the soundtrack not happier? Marinette and Adrien seem very happy, but there’s the lie between them.

Also during the kissing scene we can see white butterflies flying around. It may look hopeful, because Monarch was defeated—but we also know that Nooroo is not free. That changes the idylic picture into something more sinister. Lila’s got a lot of information from Nathalie and the computer about Gabriel, Monarch and Miraculouses. She may reveal it in a villanous way to harm Ladybug and everybody else. She may pretend to be a new hero and accuse Ladybug of cooperating with Monarch. I hope we’ll be shown what Lila really wants and what she’s up to.

Adrien

Ladybug probably won’t tell Chat Noir about Monarch’s true identity to keep the secret safe. She may also convince Plagg not to say anything. Nathalie most likely will also stay silent not to reveal herself as the villanous Mayura. I think it will be Lila who will reveal that Gabriel was the villain. That will make Adrien realise that Nathalie and Ladybug haven’t told him the truth. He may feel betrayed, angry and resentful.

I hope we’ll see more angry Adrien. For a long time he tried to be a perfect son and in the last season he started to be more aggressive as Chat Noir. Learning to express more anger and frustration as Adrien, not as Chat Noir, would be much healthier than destroying the world with his superpowers. I hope that there won’t be too much Chat Blanc / Anti-Chat, because such plots aren’t really going anywhere, they only undermine Adrien’s ability to control himself and the future of Adrienette. In the last episodes Adrien grew up and managed to recognise that he shouldn’t transform in such an unstable state, so I hope he will continue to mature and be able to deal with terrible news without destroying everything. And if they’ll keep pushing the Chat Blanc narrative, then maybe Adrien shouldn’t be Chat Noir anymore, if he’s apparently that unstable, and maybe Gabriel was right all along, controlling his son so tightly.

Nonetheless I truly hope he will destroy that terrible statue.

Reveal?

I didn’t expect the reveal and I don’t think it’ll happen in season 6. Those few times we’ve already seen it, it turned bad, but maybe it can strengthen them with Gabriel gone, if they reveal themselves out of trust instead of it being forced by external circumstances or by Ladybug trying to control the situation.

The superheroes

Frankly speaking, I was sort of happy that at the beginning of season 5 Marinette had no additional Miraculouses and Ladybug and Chat Noir were again the only superheroes in Paris. I’m afraid that with so many superheroes season 6 will be rather chaotic.

Okay, Lila’s actions at the end of the season don’t seem to quite add up?

First she messes with the classmates’ future plans, okay fine. That gets overturned. But then she re-applies to Francis Dupont under a different name while vowing revenge on Marinette. But that doesn’t make sense. Weren’t they all making those plans because they were graduating Dupont and going into lycee? Dupont is not a lycee, that’s established back in Kwamibuster and confirmed when Soqueline graduated being one year ahead of Marinette. This should have been the class’ last year there.

What good will going back to Dupont do Lila/Cerise/Iris in terms of messing with Marinette, who by all rights should no longer even be a student there? She’s increasing her chances of being recognised as a disgraced former student who was also a well known model with her face EVERYWHERE, with her target not even present. Does Dupont suddenly somehow become a lycee so they don’t have to design a new school and new teachers? They can’t reuse Bustier or Mendeliev as class teachers anyway, so…

Yeah, something doesn’t make sense. Either Lila just plans to build a new base of admirers while biding her time with Marinette and is willing to take the risk at Dupont instead of being Cerise with an established group - or the show is just going to dump the class back in Dupont as if the whole graduation drama that led to Principal Damocles being FIRED and is a staple step in a French student’s school career is suddenly irrelevant?

So in the first season of Miraculous we didn't know that Gabriel was Hawkmoth

But now we know Lila is going to be the new Hawkmoth

So what if at the start of season 6 they introduce a few new students to the class and WE DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE IS LILA!!!!!!!!

Since I asked people in a post and got a few different answers I figured I’ll poll what I heard the most to see if there are popular opinions about this 🤔

The thing about Lila as new Butterfly now is that I'm not even sure if Lila would WANT to be perceived as a villain at all. That isn't exactly her style. She wants to be seen as a good person, the GREATEST person of all time so she can use people to her whim and that doesn't exactly translate into Lila doing the same thing Gabriel did before her when he hardly ever tried to not be the obvious villain as Hawkmoth.

There is also this whole thing going on in season 5 that a sub-group of people has already formed who believe that Monarque is the good guy and I hardly believe that this is not going to lead to something. Especially with the way Gabriel's story has ended and Lila having all the information on him.

It just doesn't seem right to assume that Butterfly Lila will go about her presentation the way Hawkmoth did. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Butterfly Lila shows up in 6x01 or 6x02 and proclaimes herself to be the hero who must take down Ladybug, Chat Noir and the team for the greater good.

Remember that Lila KNOWS everything. She was THERE at the final battle. She knows Ladybug lost and that Monarque made a wish. She knows EVERYTHING Marinette/Ladybug is letting the entire world believe right now is one massive lie. That's almost too easy.

I'm not saying that Butterfly Lila will right from the get go be seen as the new hero and Ladybug and Chat Noir as the villains by the public. But I AM saying that I find it much more likely that Lila will from the start proclaim herself as the new hero who wants to free Paris from Ladybug and Chat Noir because they aren't the good guys they claim to be, and that as the season continues Lila might manipulate the city/world with lies or by twisting truths she knows to her benefit to turn the tides. It not like that hasn't been more than well set-up by now.

As the ending of "Recreation" said, the entire world has been brought to awareness that no one really understands their emotions. And if that awareness is now there then that means we need a new type of villain. One who either isn't immediately noticeable at all as villain or one who can convince the people that they are NOT a villain and therefore people not only let their guard down, people won't even have a really to put their guard UP in the first place.

Now thinking about actual zodiac relationships, there should be a part in s6 where the Couffaine twins would verbally & physically fught with each other. Either reasons are:

Probably Luka being a Guardian related, since he would probably more be into his role than helping w/ Juleka with Kitty Section stuff.

Family matters related i.e. Jagged (probably) playing favourites

Miraculous related ("Why didn't you tell me my best friend is Ladybug?!" "Because!")

Akumatised related stuff

It wouldnt be that guaranteed, but it would be perfect angst material coming from the twins.

The Plagg Factor is being ignored...

One thing that have been bothering me in the discussion of Season 6 of Miraculous Ladybug is that no one is mentioning Plagg's reaction to the situation...

If we assume that Ladybug did not give personally the Black Cat Miraculous to Adrien, I think that we can assume that Marinette asked Plagg to take the Miraculous back to Chat Noir (very probably since we can assume that Ladybug and Chat Noir still do not known each other's identities...).

So, Plagg returned to Adrien - so what is stopping Plagg from telling Adrien that Gabriel was Monarch and/or Adrien was a sentimonster?

Because Plagg is aware of these facts, so much as Marinette.

Although Marinette can come with reasonable-sounding reasons to not tell Adrien and/or the world at large, there is no reason why she would not tell Chat Noir (unless Gabriel's Wish itself is preventing her to do so...) so...

What if she asked Plagg to tell Chat Noir about what happened (so he could be aware until Ladybug and Chat Noir actually manage to meet face-to-face) and Plagg... did not?

Maybe she could have - by accident - gave a contradictory Order (not been aware it could be intrepreted as a order) ("Plagg, please tell what happened to Chat Noir, and please do not tell Adrien...")?

Maybe the Wish actually prevents Plagg to tell Adrien?

Because it would create a scenario where Ladybug thinks that Chat Noir already knows, when he actually did not.

Because otherwise, we must assume that Plagg decided on his own to not tell Adrien....

Rethinking about the Volpina episode.

With how S5 finale went, Lila has all the potential and most of the informations to make this a reality for S6-7.

Alongside a "Adrien will be mine" from Chameleon.

I apologize if I'm writing a salty response here, but there's something that bothers me about the direction the secret identity rule is taking. I understand that it was devised to maintain the dynamic between Marinette and Adrien without the reveal, but it made sense initially and beyond that. It's been five seasons, and there are hints that the next main villain knows that Marinette is Ladybug when… isn't it exactly why they protect their secret identities, so that the main villain can't reach them? It seems like with each passing season, it increasingly points to ultimate goal of this rules. I suspect that when this rule is lifted, it will all boil down to these rules only applying to Chat Noir, and the rule will no longer be concealing its purpose

I think your thoughts on it are valid. I’d call it a criticism.

I think if astrucs response has been anything to go by your comments are warranted.

Though I think many people will want the removal of the rule, but only after Marinette/ladybug realizes Lila knows.

Until then we can only speculate

A Theory for season 5 future episodes after Exaltation

So ….  Marinette almost got akumatized again in Elation (Exaltation in Fench). And just like during the episode Ladybug, she did not resist, and she was gonna take off her hearings, the akumatization was interrupted thanks to Chat Noir quick thinking. But Gabriel's reactions to the events of this episode imply that he is gonna target Marinette in the future of season 5 because of Chat Noir ‘s  feelings for her.

SPOILER WARNING ABOUT INFORMATIONS FROM THE BIBLE !!!

I’ve read all the season 5 episodes synopses present in the bible, and while none of them mention some plan of Monarch to specifically target Marinette, maybe we can read between the lines, and there’s one synopsis which intrigued me a lot among those that come after episode 9.

So according to this synopsis, during episode 14, Marinette will apparently be in such an emotional turmoil because of a past trauma that it will be enough for Monarch to try to akumatize her again. But thanks to others elements I’ve learnt from the season 5 bible, I know Marinette still won’t be akumatized this time neither (this is a risk the ML writters seem not to be willing to take) and Kim will be the one akumatized into Dark Humour instead for this episode.

So my question would be this : How will Marinette manage to escape akumatization this time ?

Let’s recap how she did avoid this fate before in all the seasons so far, season 5 included :

Season 2 :

Zombizou :

When Marinette is under the impression that she’s gonna be punished for one of Chloé’s wrong-doing, her anger is strong enough to attract Hawkmoth’s attention. Since Gabriel didn’t have the Horse miraculous power yet back there, by the time the akuma get close to Marinette, Miss Bustier’s words were enough to calm her anger.

But on Hawkmoth’s orders, the akuma stays close, and when Bustier spot the akuma, her fear is enough to attract the corrupted butterfly’s attention, and she’s the one who falls under the akuma’s influence instead of Marinette.

This first time around, Marinette avoided akumatization thank to two things : enough time for her anger to calm down, and somoene’s protection

And as a bonus, season 2 gave us a glimpse of what an akumatized Ladybug would look like through an illusion of Volpina :

Season 3 :

2. Chameleon :

Or the first time we really got worried (or hyped ?) that Marinette would one day end up akumatized because of the injustices she also faces in her civilian life.

We know the story, Lila’s lies were infuriating Marinette a lot, but by the time the akuma is close to her, she managed to burry down her anger.

Once again the time and distance between Hawkmoth and his prey was a key factor for Marinette to avoid akumatization, but like before, Hawkmoth wasn’t wiling to leave alone the prey he spotted.

And in the end, he could count on his future best ally next to Chloé to awake Marinette’s pain and anger 

But Marinette was able to spot the akuma in time, and she had Tikki encouragements, all of this helped her dispel her negative emotions before the akuma even touched an object on her.

Marinette didn’t have somoene’s protection like in Zombizou to help her against this second akumatization attempt on her, but she found the time to calm down twice.

Unfortunatelly for Marinette, this wouldn’t be the last time Hawkmoth would try to akumatize her, and with the first two attempts having failed because Marinette was able to dispel her negative emotions in time, Hawkmoth made sure that for his next attemps during this season, Marinette’s negative emotions would be too strong and intense for her to contain.

3. Chat Blanc :

By the time this episode came out, Gabriel only ever planned his akumatizations in advance with a specific target in mind twice (Lila and Audrey) by waiting for the right opportunity and eliciting the negative emotions he needs himself, and he did exactly that with Marinette during this episode. And while the events of Chat Blanc have been erased from the main timeline, I think it's important to note how far Gabriel was willing to go just to akumatize Marinette. He not only waited for the relationship between her and Adrien to be strong enough for the break up to be more painfull for Marinette, but he was also ready to ruin the happiness of his own son and to cause him pain (while the next season, during Glaciator 2, Gabriel was for the first time concerned about his son’s negative intense emotions). 

Last time Gabriel called one of his akuma prey his « masterpiece », he was convinced he would finally win against Ladybug and Chat Noir. And while he’s not wrong that akumatizing Marinette could grant him victory, he didn’t know she was Ladybug at that time, and yet he really was determined to akumatize the poor girl. The only others times he put that much efforts to planify an akumatization was with Audrey, Lila and Chloé, and he knows the three of thems are bad persons and that two of them would gladly assist him against Ladybug. Marinette isn't any of those things, but during this season 3 Hawkmoth really seemed to have it out for her

But we also know how Marinette escaped that one

Marinette’s despair and heartbreak were too intense for her to calm down, but Adrien saw the akuma coming toward the girl he loved, and he rescued her as Chat Noir by destroying the butterfly just in time.

And once gain, just like in Zombizou, Marinette avoided akumatization because somoene else spotted the akuma and protected her from it. And the person who protected her from the akuma ended akumatized instead of her, a detail that will be important for my theory later.

4. Ladybug :

Like I said for Chat Blanc, Gabriel seemed really determined to akumatize Marinette during this season, and for this third attempt he convoluted a plan counting on Lila’s help to not only akumatize Marinette, but also many of the people who are close to her or have her in high esteem. And he made sure once again that the negative emotions would be too much for Marinette to resist akumatization.

All the previous times Marinette was the target of an akuma, the Butterfly never touched an object on her, but Ladybug was the first episode when an akuma (or here a scarlet akuma) finally got to her and put her under its spell along many others victims.

No time to calm down, no one to protect her, and an injustice far too great for Marinette to resist the temptation of akumatization like Chloé did in Miraculer and like the characters have begun to do since season 4. The only thing left to stop the akumatization process was either a miracle or a Deux Ex Machina

And it seems Luck was on Marinette’s side, because Nathalie suffered an attack that made Hawkmoth concerned enough about her condition to drop his transformation, and all the scarlet akuma that came with it.

Marinette avoided akumatization this time only because of a huge and unexpected stroke of luck.

But that’s four times already Marinette nearly got akumatized between season 2 and 3. Don’t we say “once is a chance, Twice is a coincidence, and a third time is a pattern” ? So what about four times already ?  So like many I though this was the sign Marinette would finally be akumatized in season 4, but unfortunatelly for us, and fortunatelly for the heroes, its seems Gabriel abandonned his want to akumatize her, because even at Marinette’s lowest during this season 4, not once Shadowmoth felt her negative emotions. (Gang of secrets and Kuro Neko for example)

Marinette felt intense negative emotions during season 4, but none of them attracted Shadowmoth’s attention, either because of some luck power factor she gained from being Ladybug, or because of the same explanation I use everytime something doesn’t make sense in Miraculous : scriptwriting ease

No akuma came close enough to Marinette during season 4. And I thought it meant Akumanette was too much of a risk for the authors to ever attempt, but then came Season 5 :

5. Exaltation :

“Why don’t I get to to be happy?” she asks. “Why don’t I get to love who I want to?” At this moment Marinette is hitting a breaking point, she’s tired of everything falling apart. She’s tired to always meet deception and heartbreak everytime she falls in love with someone. She can’t do this anymore. It’s not fair. So it’s no wonder she nearly gets akumatized once again after that.

And giving up her and Chat Noir Miraculous seems like the only option left for her to finally be happy to love and to be loved freely.

And because of the Migration power used by Monarch during this season, Akuma’s victims has no time to see the akuma coming for them, and thus no time to avoid it or to calm down their negative emotions. Chat Noir didn’t spot the akuma before it was to late and it got Marinette, and just like during the episode Ladybug, Marinette felt too much negative emotions to resist.

So another miracle was needed to save Marinette, and for this episode Chat Noir’s kiss did the job to break the akuma's spell.

And this nearly akumatization marked Marinette more than the others times, because during season 3 there was still the hope that Master Fu could eventually recruit other temporary heroes to help Chat Noir against a potential akumatized Ladybug. And during season 4 Marinette had plot armor when it would have been the best time for Shadowmoth to target her with all the miraculous she had under her protection. But Marinette also had Alya on her side for season 4, and who’s to say they didn’t both think about a contengency plan in case Marinette ever got akumatized ?

But this time for season 5 there is no more Rena Rouge or Master fu to help save the day if Ladybug were to be akumatized, and Chat Noir would be left alone against an all powerfull Monarch who would have gotten half of what he wants already.

So without a magic kiss from Chat Noir what would be left for Marinette to do in order to avoid akumatization if Monarch does send an akuma to target her when her negative emotions will be at their peak during the episode Derision ?

I have three theories : DON’T FORGET THE SPOILER AND LEAKS WARNING

The events of Exaltation will have shaken Marinette enough for her to be able to resist and reject the akuma next time Monarch try to akumatize her, if only because Paris’s safety will matters more for her than her own distress and feelings T^T

Kim will be present at Marinette’s side the moment the akuma gets to her, because he is involved in the trauma she will be reliving during this episode (according to the bible and recent leaks, Marinette once had a crush on Kim, and Chloé took advantage of that to cruelly humiliate Marinette by concincing Kim to help her play a prank on poor Mari). He could spot the akuma in time to protect Marinette from it, and thus ends up akumatized instead of her.

Adrien will be the one present at Marinette’s side during Monarch’s attempt to akumatize her, and wathever he may do will be enough to save her from complete akumatization.

There's a possibility that Kim may eventually feel guilt about Marinette’s past humiliation at Chloé’s hands and his participation in this cruel prank for his negative emotions to attract the akuma Monarch will probably sent toward Marinette. That or Adrien could discover Kim's involvement in Marinette's past trauma and be angry enough at Kim that the latter would be left confused and annoyed enough to attract the akuma Marinette would have managed to reject. That or maybe Ondine will hear about Kim helping Chloé pull such cruel prank in the past and she'll be rightfully mad at her dumb boyfriend.

And who knows if after Exaltation, Gabriel won’t have instructed Lila (with Chloé’s help) to make things worse for Marinette the moment she would be vulnerable enough. 

Even if the chances of ever having akumanette appears in the show are low, it’s still interresting to speculate on Marinette potential akumatization since we already have two canon akumatizations for Adrien (Chat Blanc and Ephemeral).

I also remember someone saying : either the authors want to send us a message, or it's teasing at its maximum

But according to the Bible there’s still no akumanette in sight for this season 5, so I think it’s more about showing Marinette’s vulnerability and strength rather than using her potential akuma form for fan service.

Although this may be the only other time Monarch will target Marinette with akumatization during this season 5 after episode 9, other synopses are vague enough that one could imagine some of Gabriel's plans could involve exploiting Cat Noir's feelings for Marinette with other akumas, although it's not specifically said.  

And yet there’s still a chance we could have a glimpse of a potential akumanette for season 5 (either through an illusion created by Lila who will be be akumatized in a Volpina new variation in episode 20 Revelation, or through Gabriel new akuma form Nightormentor when he will akumatize himself in the episode Representation, apparently to separate Adrien and Marinette) :

I would also add that according to someone's comment I found on Youtube, the ml writters apparently first planned to have Marinette akumatized during Exaltation, but then changed their mind and delayed it for something bigger in season 6. False or True ? Dunno, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had indeed one day conceptualized an akumanette and then abandoned the idea afterwards

So like, what if season 6 starts off with the 'perfect world' that season 5 left off with. A world where no one is ever upset and since the defeat of Monarch, Ladybug and Chat Noir have found themselves with nothing to do. Despite the fact that everything appears perfect, that they are in a seeming Utopia, Marinette finds the whole thing unnatural and unnerving. When no one gets upset, when nothing ever goes wrong, when disagreement never breaks out, Marinette finds the whole experience uncanny and not lifelike. And what if this lasts a couple of episodes, until she and Chat Noir come to the conclusion that something is very wrong and that this state of perfection cannot last long. Though the world is covered in golden light, it is very much gilded and there must be something under the surface that they're not seeing. So what if they discovered that when Monarch made the wish, he set the world out of balance and soon, that balance would need to be restored or something catastrophic will come to counteract the perfection. A force that they will have to contend with throughout the rest of the season.

And what if the season ends with Marinette making a wish to restore said balance and in turn, gives up her memory...
