G-d can turn a circle into a square, or a square into a circle.  Which reminds me that despite all of the hardships that I have had to endure lately -- the difficulties at work, an emotionally abusive entanglement, the transitions of moving and the chronic health issues... I can honor G-d by creating my own life from the ingredients he has given me. 

 He’s provided me with intelligence, strength and the ability to adapt, and a kind heart even though it has gotten me mixed up with the wrong people from time to time.  I will move, I will rebuild a life and find fantastic new ways to honor him each day, and to thank him for all my blessings by simply making the VERY most of each day!  

I’ve got some really good goals for 2017 and have already started making them happen.  I will honor my creator by giving my all, doing the right thing, and always seeking ways to improve the world around me.

Note to self: The last year I was in Boston, my volunteerism sorta dropped off.  I’d do a shift here, a shift there.  In previous years, I dedicated whole weekends of my life -- whole evenings, whole afternoons.  I took vacation days to feed the homeless, or wouldn’t take trips on holidays so that I could hang out close to home and entertain folks at the shelter.  I miss being able to do that, I really do.  Work really made it hard to balance my professional and personal lives, but now?  I can have a life again.  What better way to show my thanks than to be of service?
