Ah it was “For all we know the MegamiTensei wiki could just be filled with incorrect info and we would be none the wiser.” And then people started sharing their stories. (One person had to fight to claim Jun was gay iirc, I personally was advocating to the original generic name to keep it uniformed otherwise they should use all the anime names cause it looks like shit not being uniformed, they won’t take the smiling ep tatsuya portrait, they deleted Forced Battle’s page cause they didn’t like it was not “one more god rejected,” they dragged feet on getting rid of the theory that Hiiriji is Aleph, and or when someone wanted to change something they got banned cause the mod was mean and so on and so on).

Enough people said “we need a new wiki” and I was like “fine what do I need to do?” And it was like.....two seconds to make. 

I think anyone can edit, I’m the only mod atm. I only have those two rules in place cause I want uniformity. 

I personally want to have sub pages that look like this: 

So Primary/main page would be like ‘Persona 4 Hero,” which will talk about the events of P4/G (and DramaCDs related to those). He’ll be referred to as Hero (or Leader) during those synopsis. Then the next tab will be “Souji Seta” and it’ll only talk about the synopsis of the manga. Then it’ll be Yu Narukami Anime, and it’ll talk about Yu Narukami in both animes and drama CDs related to those. Then Yu Narukami Game, which will talk about Yu Narukami in Arena/Ultimax/Dancing and manga adaptations of those games (or drama CDS related to it). 

For someone with smaller pages like Tamaki and FeMC. It’d probs be like 2 tabs for Tamaki. First one being “SMT IF Heroine” where it just talks about what occurs in SMT IF as a silent MC, and then the next tab is dedicated to Tamaki who appears in Persona. And then a tab for anthologies I guess (if there are any, I’m not double checking).

For FeMC it’d be Persona 3 Heroine, and it talks about the game. Next tab is for PQ2, one for the Stage Play, and maybe one for the DramaCD.

That way they can be analyzed individually without being conflated (because Minato and Makoto’s characterizations are NOT the same, same with P4 Hero vs Yu or Souji, nameless MC can make decisions that Yu nor Souji had taken). 

This should also keep name wars away imo.

The problem is, it has historically been so that I give my fic files very boring names of the fandom + number kind, and those names explain nothing. And I don't write very often, and when I do, it is usually one fic at a time (I don't even have a separate WIP folder), so the only title I can offer is:

It’s Time

Today is the final day before Tumblr does it thing. I honestly do plan on sticking around on this site because I really do like.

I hope Devil Summoner is on the table. Either a reboot of the original show, an adaptation of one of the games, or a new entry. God I hope it’s the latter two, esp if it’s Raidou that’d be fun!

I’ve been waiting since like 2009 after seeing those cheesy P1/2 live action CMs from the 90s for a live action show. Give it to me. aklsjfd;ajf;d I need it now kldjsakfj;a XD

I think I’ll do both. God I hope it’s P1/2(3P), an OG idea, or Trinity Soul (Only reason I’m giving 3P a pass is because Hamu doesn’t have an adaptation via tv nor movie....tho I’d rather it be animated, but really I’d rather it be the other 4 I mentioned). 

God make it happen Atlus. You’ve already given me disappointment this’ll at least be a hoot.

As for the fandom. Not sure. I know prior to the anni people were bitching about FES vs P3P. I think. The only person I was following that was participating in it was a FeMC lover (or maybe it was a handful, I’ve ended up following a lot of FeMC fans lately I hardly notice which one of them it is when they tweet half the time XV), and was playfully shitting on FES (memes about how P3P was better). They were playful and you could tell they were joking tho. Since I believe they got annoyed when an article came out saying that “P3P was the definitive way to play P3″ (hint: there’s no definitive way because Atlus hasn’t given us a definitive version). Or at least was annoyed by the title as I was and obvie other’s were. 

So my feed from the looks of it was missing pretty much all the drama. Heck, even the 2ish people I follow that I know who don’t really like P3 (they don’t tweet about it often) weren’t talking about it. But I would not be surprised if the stuff they’ve said about it (but taken to the extreme) were what was going around.

I kinda missed the anni cause I was at work, then I was on the road for 5ish hours. Then I fell asleep. And my phone only saves 24 tweets with the “tweet notification function” so if I’m not clearing them out, I don’t see what I’ve missed tbh. And when you’re driving..... 8U Yeah gonna miss a lot. Anything I saw were jokes (tho that was leading up to the anni more so than the anni), or that one article and everyone coming together and being annoyed with it. 

But if anyone wants to shed more like on it in the asks I’d be happy to hear it.

Well there’s this (I think he’s talking to simplydad, and even tho he’s questionable still doesn’t excuse Phan’s behavior):

The worst ones is him harassing a 14 year old earlier this year(? oh god it’s been so long), iirc it was over them asking not to post porn of Persona chars (esp them being in their underage forms) and he went off. I have to dig for the tweets by the kid who called him out a few months ago. So if I stumble across it again I’ll add it here. 

Right before the life threatening thing today, he was called out for having BLM in his bio but not retweeting links (thus making it feel very...uhhhh fake support...can’t think of the right word sorry ;w; ....theatrical? is that the word i’m looking for? It felt fake ok? 8U). He claims he was gonna do it and tried to downplay it by “being harassed for not being fast enough” I didn’t see the convo but from how people are describing it, he seems to just went off the handle on someone who was just being like “Hey! Can you do this? :D” kinda thing. But I didn’t see it, so take this part with a grain of salt. You can probs still find the tweets tho

And now recently he was calling MysticDistance to the point of obsession and would leave threatening voicemails even threatening his (and his girlfriend’s) life/wellbeing and...well here’s just the thread

He was like “you better not mess with my relationship with Atlus” fkldsjaf;ka he valued a relationship with a company over his friend’s wellbeing >:( (no he threatened his friend’s wellbeing for a company relationship D:<) Had half a mind to @ atlus’ twitter right then and there but didn’t cause Mystic might not have wanted that. 

The 14 year old thing was what brought his other issues to light earlier this year (such as him saying the N word when he’s not black), but this seems to be the case of the straw that broke the camels back, and the community is finally calling him out on his BS. He does a really, really shitty apology, to make people feel sympathy for him, says he’ll “do better” and then proceeds to be a pretty shitty person. 

But as of typing this, it looks like he relinquished his account to two(?) new moderators (they gonna try to rebrand I think). His personal account is PhanSkull in case you want someone to block (not harass of course, just block).

I believe I went off on her a little before (outside her dungeon, x) Anyway Futaba’s there for a number of reasons:

 I hate her dungeon, her shadow, just her whole arc from a lore perspective. The rules are broken....no...shattered for her, not just P5′s rules but previous games’ rules. (I think I mentioned it in these posts x, x, x, btw these are all pre Royal.....Atlus probs saw a post about it and was like “we need to add doubts in Royal maybe now it’ll make sense!” srry boo but she says it’s no her mom and her cognition should reflect that right away you still messed up, also too little too late).

I’m pretty sure I remember talking about how I do no think she is a good representation of mental illness, she basically is cured with the “power of friendship” after a week (of being conscious), and they only use her lingering issues when they need it for plot reasons (on top of the fact iirc the writing between main story and CoOp is contradictory, iirc she’s like “MC you’re the one who saved me! I can only go out if I’m with YOU!” and then the next day of one of my playthroughs Yusuke literally picks her up and she’s like “oh I’m fine now, and it’s thanks to EVERYONE!” and it’s just....pandering for a romance in that CoOp). It pisses me off she’s the rep for mental illness. 

She takes up too much screen time, and it feels like a lot of actual issues/obstacles we could just....overcome is instead made so we NEED to use her (I’m looking at you dungeon 3 of PQ2, you can suck it, Fuuka should’ve been the focus, literally makes no sense for Futaba to be the focus????) 

Ties into point 1 but still deserves it’s own point. I hate how she’s like “THEY STOLE MY HEART! THEY CHANGED MY COGNITION!” but....we didn’t.......we literally didn’t. Did we help/save her with our intervention? Yes, but it’s not cause it was supernatural, we just showed up for her. Did WE solve her issue supernaturally.....no....not really, we didn’t get a chance (remember how....there was no treasure! oOo yeah we go into her Palace, but that’s not really changing her, it’s us going in irl and being like “yo ya gotta go outside! get that sunny D!” than us screwing with her dungeon). She solved it herself, Yaldy gave her the app, she ran into her Shadow, she accepted her Shadow, she solved it on her own. Not only is it a straight up lie, and conflating someone changing their mind/”heart” with the PT way of changing hearts (as well as the fact you know....we didn’t change her cognition, she did), but it also reduces her own involvement in her own healing process and overcoming the obstacle herself. We were just the spark, the rest of the flame emerged from Futaba. Like listen, the IRL stuff we did was important, but when it came down to the wire, it was her own memory and faith in herself and her mom that helped her confront herself and her false memories (because y’know...she couldn’t hear us). And it pisses me off that the writers would take something important to a character and her message, away for some bullshit reason.

I dunno some times she acted like an ass and it was just annoying, I already had Makoto/Yusuke/Goro/MC(even Mona/Ryu at times, to other’s not each other, obvie they do it to each other) kinda getting away(or have gotten away) with that without much reprimanding. (and tbh, anything that could possibly be redeemable, is either nonexistent, or overshadowed by the fact she’s mostly just there for her be connected to a literal mother of a plot device, no her hacking isn’t needed you have superpowers and another world WHY do you need to rely on her????literally states in the first dungeon you can’t use a phone camera in the metaverse even, but for some reason a laptop is fully working?????I know one is part of the phone and the other is a comp but it’s our only tech we know/can relate back to, so what does it mean Atlus? Is the comp allowed but the phone isn’t? Why? Just explain. Here’s one I just made up for you: Phone has to have the app open at all times in the metaverse! Or, actually no tech works well in the Metaverse, which means no laptop, one or the other choose please)

Oh she kinda screws us over, until we joined we didn’t have any connections to doing anything illegal. Yeah she throws that out the window. I mean we can always sell her out, but we are her enablers/accomplices.

Someone I know who was studying hacking at the time (for their work) was like “she’s kind of pulling that shit outta her ass.” And it hurt them to watch any of her scenes play out (I think the wire tap was the one thing she got a pass on tho). It doesn’t help it’s not really explained enough (so they can see if it’s plausible). To them it’s cringe, to me it shows convenience for the story (obvie I care more about how it hinders the story skadlfj;alfj and if it’s like they say, it annoys me even more). 

Spinoff wise I hate how she tries to grope Anne and Makoto in P5D, and I hate how she takes up a shit load of screen time in PQ2 (I don’t care Hikari is a shut in, gdi Fuuka earned that spotlight in dungeon 3, it makes no sense why Futaba would do it, hell Fuuka should’ve been chiming in due to her knowing what it’s like to be bullied, same with Rise iirc she was also bullied, like god damn, PQ2 really went “We’re gonna give all the screen time to P5 kids even tho they won’t really do jack shit with most of it, and just have P3/4 kids chime in enough to remember they exist”) 

Basically I don’t like what she brings to the table, esp since the game makes us rely on her. She doesn’t spark the exact same amount of rage that Makoto does (tho if you saw me my last playthrough during Futaba’s dungeon I’d say it’s pretty close), but it does feel insulting from a long time fan/lore fiend/just a freaking viewer trying to consume the medium that’s seeing there’s some toxic stuff in her writing (and I don’t mean “toxic” I mean “it’s really bad to freaking think that friends will fix your mental health, it won’t, and it’s unfair to you and your friends to even think of putting that onto them” bad levels of thinking). 

I also find she’s a wasted opportunity, such as “oh what if we solved this mental illness with supernatural means? what could possibly go wrong? Esp with how drastic the change is for other people we’ve done it to! :D” *cough* *cough* If only they figured out that’d be kinda interesting *cough**cough* Oh mean what a violet coughing fit, I mean violent.... >.> *in a bad canadian accent* I really need soome air eh?..........8U ANYWAY, the biggest role she serves (besides spotlight stealing to justify having a hacker), is a connection to her mom and showcasing that even “good people” can have palaces.....sadly the latter seems to fall on deaf ears on even fans of this game.....and the writers/characters. So uhhhh good job failing at the latter (for awhile at least), and uhhh....we could just NOT have the former! I think the gov could be shady without them also getting in on supernatural stuff but that’s just me. 030

Anyway, what the hell Atlus????? A quick google search states that the average age of a politician there is 55, but I wouldn’t consider 53 “young” by comparison (40 yes tho). Hell Shinzo Abe was 52 when he was elected! Is he “young” then? Like 30s/40s I’d understand as young for a politician (25 being a baby), 50s tho???? 40s would still make sense for Shido, he doesn’t look like he’s in his 30s, but he (or at least his game appearance) can still pull off someone in their 40s. 

And like the game itself describes Shido as young:

Also I think people are calling him 50 because 53-3=50, so they must be only talking about when Goro approached Shido, not after. Where I got the 40s (25+ 15/16) number was low-balling a min age for Shido, 25 is when someone can become a politician so it’s possible that might’ve been the bare min age Shido met Goro’s mom, as well as a min age for someone who could be considered “young.” 49 when Goro approached him would maybe be my maximum but it still feels a bit too high for “young”)

*looks into a little deeper* Hmmmmmmmm Sinzou Abe was actually the youngest prime minister (52) since Fumimaro Konoe who was....HOLY SHIT 45! *looks up other prime ministers* But Itō Hirobumi (the first prime minster?) was 44 what is this???? Wait......*looks at the rest* The rest seem to range from 50s-70s. One year is someone in their 50s, then in their 60s, then 70s, then 50s. Oh here’s a better list. So only 3 PMs have been in their 40s, so 4.5%, so the majority of ages are 50s/60s/70s. BUT, 70s is the second lowest at only 11 people, aka 16.6%. With 50s and 60s being almost even, 23 vs 29 people. So the % is: 40s=4.5%, 50s=34.8%, 60s=43.9%, 70s=16.6%. 

I like to say I learnt something (well I mean I did! but I still am unsure of the answer to my question), but I def don’t have the cultural context for this. I know in the US we make a big deal if we have a Prez who is in their 40s when they are elected and are considered “young” but not so much the 50 year olds from what I can remember (probably cause like 20% of our Prez’s are in their 40s so it stands out more and the ones in their 50s is bout 55%). But I dunno what to do with this info, yes he’s def younger than 60s/70s, but considering more people in their 50s are elected than 70s it’s stands to seem more normalized for a 50 year old to be elected than a 70 year old one. But maybe because of the distance between 50 year olds being elected, it’s been awhile that it’s now like......really young for them? It could go either way and I’m just not sure. So like if he isn’t considered young, the the game screwed up. But if he is, then the anime screwed up IF 50 isn’t considered young enough. But if 50ish is considered young enough then all’s good but klsfdja;faj;f I dunno???? 

Darn it now I’m gonna have to look at the anime (probably dark sun) to see if they kept the young line in (I’ll do it later cause I have to go after this post). Cause if they didn’t it might either mean 1) the anime screwed up, 2) anime didn’t care, or 3) both   (the anime has screwed up before, not just P5′s tho, that or they have deviated a lot before, so I never really trust the animes or mangas in the context of canon info)
