Malcolm took his time. Her words were incredibly spot on. Malcolm had a deep appreciation for people who had such finely tuned empathy, it was something he was paranoid about lacking. He nodded and took a sip of his drink as he looked down at the table and pressed his lips together as he breathed deeply through his nose. "That is exactly what it feels like" he smiled briefly as he looked up and nodded again with a gulp "no, your not crossing the line at all" Malcolm wondered if he did have any lines, sometimes other people's boundaries were invisible to him.
It was pleasant to hear about the strong bond between Natalie and her brother, it made him genuinely smile. "That's a wonderful thing to feel close to family, I bet you have some very special memories" he folded his napkin and nodded at the waitress who bought them their bill, without thinking Malcolm slipped in his card into the leather folder. "Midnight it is" Malcolm smoothed out his jacket as he pulled out his chair and stood up to leave "There is a cocktail bar just a few doors down" he suggested "its very calm" he mentioned without telling her it was members only and she would be his guest.

Who did this?
mollysmythtymsyllom:

Alex frowned and moved her hand up to Sara’s face to hold her chin. “That looks pretty bad, we should put some ice on it. Come on.”
Sara wiped some of the tears that had managed to fall, nodding her head in agreeance with Alex’s request.

“There was the cutest littler girl in the ER today. Her mom had cut the tip of her finger off making dinner, but anyway. She just was stuck to my side and constantly followed me around and wanted to see everything. I would have brought her home with me in a heartbeat if I could have.”

If there was one thing Devin was good at, it was blending in - she found if one acted like they had a purpose and right to be somewhere, then they looked as such. She was a freelance writer, and got paid to run a blog, writing all sorts of articles. She was going to be stuck in a hospital for an entire week as she started her treatments, so what better way to get an inside look at how the hospital was run, right? Did she often get herself into trouble doing things like this? More than her older sister would of liked. But she was more curious than a kitten.
She managed to lift a lab coat and a random clipboard which she attached her notepad to, and for the better part of an hour that morning, she had been undetected. Until a frazzled looking doctor walked in on her writing things down; her medical bracelet showing in a mistake that was clearly on her, as she hadn't realized it had fallen back down her wrist.
"Bad morning?" She questioned, trying to throw off the fact that she shouldn't be there, but also because she genuinely cared.

Thea sat at her vanity, expertly brushing cover-up over her most recent head-wound. She noticed Will out of the corner of her eye in the mirror. “Hey- How did you get in here?” She asked, meeting his gaze in the mirror. Thea was a little confused about how he even got into the apartment, she thought she was home alone. But she was still happy to see him.

@mollysmythtymsyllom | Closed starter | Adriena x Meredith
During the morning briefing, going through the current case they were working on, Adriena explained to the rest she wanted to set up an undercover op. Their main suspect, a known drug lord, supposedly killed a family of three. A mother and two of her children; a boy and a girl of only 8 and 10 years old. The case was sickening and they did not have any solid evidence, after all the man did not get his hands dirty himself. The father was still missing. Supposedly, the drug boss either held him captive or was still hunting him. Normally these cases would be shoved to narcotics, but considering it was her triple homicide she wanted to lead this case herself.
“Here is a list of police officers in their last year of training” Max shoved the paper towards her. She quickly scanned the paper, looking over the results. “Webster?” Adriena looked up. That name was a very familiar name. Max nodded on her words. "Yeah, it is Kathy Webster’s daughter" Adriena’s eyes went back to the paper, this time looking for detail. "Results are good. I am going to take a look"
She was standing in the hall next to one of the instructors. The whole class was getting training in defensive tactics, which was fairly interesting to watch. To most she seemed to blend in with the background, which was good. No one was told why she was here.
Honestly, she wasn’t just there to check out Webster, but, her eye kept going to this woman more often than it did to anyone else. She needed a woman, from which there was one with higher scores. It was really a gut feeling though. Somewhere, close to the ending of the training, she stepped forwards and moved straight to Meredith. “Webster” Adriena gestured to take her out of her training, moving to the sidelines.
“How would you feel about graduating early?”

The pair was shopping together and Scout was running. She was usually this sporadic while out, but she had a cup of coffee raging through her. “This one. Maybe I should where this out tonight,” She said, holding up for the other to see. “What do you think? Too flashy?”

New Years with the Suns
“Okay but you gotta promise me to stick with me the entire time or my cousins will corner you. And don’t talk to my aunts and uncles without me. Also---eat all the food you can before it runs out because it’ll run out in like an hour, probably less. Maybe we should leave, bet some bar is still open.”

It had been another rough night for Zane complete with nightmares and lack of sleep thereafter. He’d called in sick from work, his body entirely too stressed to sit in an office or deal with calls all day. Instead, he chose to focus on himself. That meant bringing his sketchpad to the park, where he sat underneath the shade of a large tree. Ever since he was a kid that was his chosen method for dealing with his anxieties. Zane was so invested in his work that he didn’t notice anyone had approached until he had felt the light tap on his shoulder. Surprised, he glanced up and was greeted with a rather attractive face.
“I’m sorry, if you said anything to me, I didn’t hear it.” Zane gestured to his hearing aids before offering a shy smile. “What can I do for you?”

When the Rain Falls
@mollysmythtymsyllom
A nurse left the girl’s room when she found a boy sitting in the hallway, head tucked in his knees. Poor kid.
“Are...are you looking for Eloise Rowe? She...well, she just got out of surgery, but she’ll be awake in a bit. You can go in, if you’d like.” It was her first day and she didn’t know how to break news to patient’s friends and families. What relation did he have to the patient? Boyfriend? Brother? Friend? She could never tell.
The redhead woman didn’t want to reveal any information of her health without him asking because 1. he could possibly be looking for someone else and 2. she didn’t know how he could handle any of it right off the bat.
Inside, Eloise laid in a hospital bed, stitches cut diagonally through her eyebrow. Her left eye was swollen blue and what couldn’t be seen was the orbital blowout fracture that left the whites in her eye completely red. Bruised ribs, broken wrist, and so much more unseen injuries. The doctors said she was lucky, but they also said that some injuries were before the accident.
The nurse looking between the open door and the boy in the hallway when a tall girl with black hair and mocha skin came jogging down the hallway. Reyna. “Kane? Oh, thank God.” She was covered in cuts and bruises, but nothing serious. Tears burned her eyes when she hugged him. “I--I...I didn’t...know...w-w-what to do...I-i...she...you...fuck...”

The aftermath
The Glades were dark at this hour, but there was a light coming from the Chance house. Awaiting their siblings arrival. The group had taken two Lyft’s over: one with Zach, Carrie, Ryan, and Pam. The other had Will, Thea, and Laurel. The tension in that vehicle was insurmountable. It probably would have been worse if Harley decided to take the trip with them. Both cars arrived on the street within minutes of each other.
The groups made their way for the house, lingering on the front walk. Carrie had to all but drag Zach into the house. He was shouting something incomprehensible as he was tugged away. Thea paid it no mind, keeping her eyes downcast. Pam held onto Ryan as close as physically possible as she guided her inside, taking a long look at Thea before turning in. Laurel had made herself scarce as well, leaving Will and Thea on their own. Thea’s heart was pounding from the adrenaline that she couldn’t focus on anything else. It was hard to breathe as she noticed she was alone with Will. Her breath shallowed, not at all wanting to have this conversation. It was done. They had saved Ryan and Zach and brought them back home in one piece. Thea didn’t know what to say. Which was very uncharacteristic of her as she always had a comeback or something witty to say. But not now. Not tonight. Not after everything they had been through. She knew he was just going to tell her to leave again. There was no way he would take back what he had said to her. Anyway, Will had only called on Thea because he had no one else to turn to. Even then, he begrudgingly asked her, his ex, for help.
Her stomach sank just thinking about it. Thinking about how hurt she was. How he had hurt her without a second thought. How could anyone do that to someone they apparently loved? It just. It didn’t make sense.

“Yeah you’re right, I really don’t know what I was thinking” Mackenzie tried to regain herself as she looked at her ex. How she had ended up in the other’s bed again was a sure mystery, especially now she realized her ex didn’t seem to happy about it. “I should go”

“I usually come here to read...” Lane quietly said, slightly gathering all of his things and getting up. He never wanted to interfere with anyone, and he hated confrontation, but the face was familiar to him. “I’m sorry, but do I know you? I do - I’ve seen you around town?”

It had been a while since Jason was in Gotham. He had been busy teaching the next generation of outlaws for Lex Luthor. Among other things. Year of the Villain was fucking weird my guys.
What always brought him back was the same reason he was visiting Spin: Thea Queen.
He blew his last chance with her, he was well aware of that. But the connection they had was worth fighting for. She was worth fighting for.
Jason had been good and kept his distance, but those two were tethered together in ways almost nobody would understand. And he knew that she had been seen around town with some guy. And fairly often. From the Gotham Gazette, not like in a creepy way. Although he was known to skulk around in the shadows. But that was for vigilante business, not for matters of the heart.
“Hey, this is probably going to be an odd question, but does Thea Queen still frequent this bar?” He asked as he put on a charming smile and slid the bartender a crisp twenty to get the information out of her. This was probably a long shot, it had been a long time since they’ve been here together and this place got pretty busy during the weekends. But if you’ve met her, you’d know that Thea Queen was very noticeable. She could command any room just by walking in. She could leave anyone awestruck in her wake and often did.
“She does, I saw her here a few nights ago. She looked-” Jason completely stopped paying attention to the blonde behind the counter after the beginning of her sentence.
“Right, thanks.” He nodded, offering her that gorgeous smile of his, unsure of what to do with this information now. He couldn’t just stake out the place until she happened to waltz in. And it’s not like he could just hang out there for too long; it could be considered creepy. Checking the time on his phone, he decided he could order a drink and think it through.

She wished she could go back in time, eat her own words. This wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. In fact, she would have preferred it never happen at all. “Uhh… No, I didn’t say anything. I–oh fuck it, what’s the point? Yeah, okay fine. I fell in love with you. It finally happened I don’t know when. Maybe always? Fuck, Molly you know I’m not good at this.”
