Bettering Yourself

Self love above all. Remember that there's a handful of people that love you dearly/ truly want you in their lives no matter what. STOP BEING SO FUCKING HARD ON YOURSELF. You're not a fuck up. LEARN TO LET GO, stop being such a cunt to your mom. STOP LETTING YOUR PAST HAUNT YOU. Learn better coping skills to deal with your mommaduck and the loss of your father. Learn to talk about your feelings PERIOD. BE OPEN AND HONEST WITH YOURSELF. Stop holding everything in until you burst, you know that only ends badly.

Get a job. Maybe it'll help regulate other things in your life like your sleep and eating schedule and help you focus on your studies.

Give up the block, cut WAY back on drinking PERIOD. Get rid of negativity, drama, alcohol above everything. YOU ARE FUN WITHOUT IT.  If those people don't show you the same love and respect, they don't need to be in your life. Let people come to you when they notice this change in you, don't go out of your way to stress it to people that probably don't matter in the first place.

Find new things to do, like more traveling, amusement parks, more movies, go dancing more often whether it be at the mambo room or the Banque. Hell, invest in dance classes. Things that mean so so much to you, the little things with the right people. MORE PRODUCTIVE THINGS TO DO WITH YOUR TIME. MAKE MORE TIME FOR YOUR STUDIES AND TO WORSHIP YOU. Take this time to truly find "you" again. You've started, but you know that you've got a long way to go. Part of that is because you're afraid to become great again. You've been kicked so many times when you were down that you just don't know how to pick yourself back up. You just recently met with bariatric psych and she's the first outside person to tell you that she's concerned about your drinking habits. You know you've been heavily relying on alcohol to make things feel less real, take eight steps back and learn from your mistakes. You've denied it to literally everyone except this stranger. You didn't have the heart to VERBALLY AGREE with the stranger because you knew you'd have an uncontrollable attack. REMEMBER YOU'RE DOING THIS FOR YOU ABOVE ANYONE. Maybe take the initiative and check out an AA meeting. For the love of all that is good, go back to group therapy. Things were improving when you were going regularly. Start actually journaling, or start a blog. After all, you have a Tumblr; I mean two for crying out loud. Who's to say you can't make a third one to just express yourself and whatever comes to mind like you're doing right now? Be open with your therapist. Tell her that the death of your father isn't the only thing that's been bothering you so much that you can't sleep at night. After all, what're you paying for if you're not covering all of your bases?

Surgery? Is this really what you want? The bariatric psych said that if you aren't happy now, you won't be happy after surgery. Take time to actually THINK ABOUT THIS. Surgery is a life changing decision and a lifelong commitment. Why not think about changing your birth control? Talk to your doctor. Eat better, more healthily. Get into a better sleep routine. Push your mom to get your gym membership back, ACTUALLY GO TO THE GYM REGULARLY. Even if you have to start slow, you can make progress. Even if the progress seems slow, you can do this. BE YOUR MOTIVATION.

Finish TCC. If you decide to have surgery, you're gonna have to compromise and push graduating back. Regardless, start thinking about life after TCC, ALL OF YOUR OPTIONS, not just the ones that also accomadate the people you care for. Explore near and far, think about what you want to do with your life. Sure you have a few things rumbling around in that pretty little head of yours, but if you wanna reach your goals it's time to kick it into high speed and FOCUS ON YOU. Needless to say, since TCC graduation is approaching, you need a game plan for paying for schooling and touring schools you're interested in. Get your financials in order so you can take out the loan. SPEND SOME, SAVE SOME.

Please keep reminding yourself that you're an amazing human and have great potential to do whatever you please 💕
