I’ve just realised the ship name I use for Mona Vanderwaal and Alex Drake - Monalex - is the same ship name used for Montgomery de la Cruz and Alex Standall, and I’m don’t know how to feel about that.

Montgomery:

Monty would spot the two of you, leaning against some lockers, you laughing at some dumb joke this kid had told you as the boy would use that to inch closer to you. It didn’t take more than two seconds for Montgomery to make his way over to you and end whatever was going on. He would slide himself directly in the middle of the two of you, his back facing the other man and his eyes locking on yours, a small smile forming on his lips as he would lean in and capture you in a passionate kiss which you confusingly yet eagerly returned. Monty would keep you in the liplock for as long as he could, with no fighting from you as you merely basked in your boyfriends affection, before he finally pulled away when he heard the other man cough loudly, regretfully leaving your lips and giving a lazy glance towards the source from over his shoulder. You hung your head slightly and rolled your eyes at your boyfriends behavior, realizing why he was doing this. You leaned over Montys shoulder to give a sorry glance at the friend you were talking to “Sorry B/N” you tried to console as he then quickly turned and walked away, definitely not wanting to get in the crosshairs of Montgomery De La Cruz. You then moved back to look at Monty and slapped him playfully on his shoulder “Dammit Montgomery that was my lab partner” you explained trying to sound angry but you couldn’t lose the tugging of a smile on your lips. He would break out in a wide grin and roll his eyes “From what I saw it looked like he wanted to be a lot more than lab partners” he stressed, defending himself as he moved closer to you, wrapping his arms tightly around your waist pulling you flush against him “And I just wanted to make it clear that I’m the only partner for you”. You cocked your head to the side “Oh I think you made that quite clear” you teased, crinkling your nose. “Good” he sung before capturing you in another kiss

Zach:

Zach would shut that down real quick. He knew he could go over there, scare the kid senseless or he could bring you to him in a way that didn't seem as jealous or dicky. He’d call your name, flashing you a bright smile that you saw as nothing but harmless. In response, you said your goodbyes to your friend and waltzed over to your boyfriend who you then caught angrily staring down your friend you had just left who could now no longer ever make eye contact with you again in fear of the great Zach Dempsey. You would scrunch your eyebrows as you glanced up at your boyfriend “Did you call me over to get me to stop talking to my friend?” You would ask, Zachs arm already around your shoulders. “Would you be mad if I said yes” he would reply a teasing smile dancing on his lips. “Were you jealous?” He would scoff at that, shaking his head in an attempt to say no but you could see it in his eyes, the fear that you no longer loved him or the fear that this guy could be something more than just a friend, the fear of losing you. You rolled your eyes at Zach but immediately placed a small kiss on his cheek “You have nothing to worry about” you’d soothe “But please don’t make all of my guy friends afraid to talk to me”. He would laugh, placing a kiss on the top of your head “Fine, but as long as they know you’re mine”

Jeff:

No one ever saw Jeff really as the jealous type and that would normally be true, but he just couldn’t contain himself when he saw you with another guy, one that looked way too enthralled with everything you had to say and one that was dangerously too close to you. Jeff abruptly left his conversation he was having with Zach and Monty and immediately moved over to you. Jeff had no clue what he was going to do but he did know that he wasn’t gonna be an ass about it, not out right at least. In a matter of no time he was by your side, his muscular arm snaking around your waist and resting his hip against yours. He glanced down at you flashing a small smile that then carried onto the man in front of the two of you “Hey I’m Jeff” he said in his nicest sing song voice he could muster “You are?”. The second Jeff arrived the boy nearly fainted, he was completely aware who Jeff was, just as much as he was completely aware of the two of your relationship just as much as you were completely aware of what Jeff was doing. Instead of answering the boy in front of you gave you a meek goodbye and walked away “Well that wasn’t very nice” Jeff sarcastically spoke, causing you to nearly double over in laughter “Someone jealous?” You would question after your fit of laughter, peering up to lock gazes with him. He shrugged “Just trying to make friends” he lamely defended causing you once again to snicker and tightly hug his side “Awe don’t worry Atkins, I only love you”. His smile would turn soft as he returned the hug, resting his chin on top of your head “Good because I love you too”

Justin:

He would think of any way to get your attention, settling on the good old fashion way of walking up to you and interrupting your conversation between you and whoever this stupid kid was. "Hey babe" he would greet completely ignoring the fact that you were in the middle of a sentence. Your friend glanced between the two of you "Uh I'll talk to you later" your friend suggested "No, no it's okay" yo I would try to begin but both you and your friend saw the quirk in Justin's eyebrow and the clench of his jaw "It's fine" and like that, your friend was gone. “Did you really interrupt my conversation to say hi?” You would question, somewhat upset. He would shrug and glance down at you “I didn’t like how he was looking at you” was his response that sent you giggling. “You’re a dick you know that” you would reply playfully yet lovingly “A dick that loves you and wants him all to himself” he reminded planting a kiss first on your forehead and then on your lips, pulling you as tight against himself as he could.

Alex:

Alex would try to shrug it off, try not to stare intently at the two of you, try not to run up to you, grab your hand and lead you away, but it didn’t work. He would watch the two of you, every move and every laugh and just wait until you were done. He didn’t want to make a scene and as much as he knew this could just be an innocent little chat between two mutual friends but this thought didn’t stop his heart from racing and blood from boiling. He knew he shouldn’t be jealous but while that seemed to register in his brain it did no such thing in his heart. When you were done you would wave to your friend goodbye and he’s don your way, spotting your boyfriend Alex you would head over to him “Hey babe” you would greet, giving him a peppy side hug. He would give a low smile and nod in response, not getting that kid out of his mind “What’s up?”. He would shake his head but ultimately end up telling you “I know it’s stupid I just, I saw you with that guy and you looked really happy and I don’t know, I don’t know it’s stupid, really”. You would laugh in response and hug his side tighter “Nobody makes me happier than you Alex” you would assure “I love you”. This time a real smile would take over his face, holding onto you like you were his lifeline “I love you too babe”

Clay:

Clay would be so awkward about it all. He knew he had no right to be upset but he couldn’t help the feeling of anger and curiosity. This boy you were laughing and talking to was probably a friend or a partner in class or a friend of a friend but all he could think of was the absolute worse. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from the two of you and after a bit, you would notice. Leaving your conversation you walked over to clay, grabbing his hand as he continued to stare at the man you were just talking to “Whatcha lookin at?” You playfully questioned, wiggling your eyebrows. He would glance at you then at the man then laugh “I-I’m sorry Y/N” he would begin “I didn’t mean to stare I just-” but you cut him off with a quick kiss and an encouraging smile “You’re cute when your flustered”. A rosy blush would appear in his cheeks as he shook his head “Im always flustered” he reminded with a laugh. Giving a slight wink you squeezed his hand “Exactly”

I just finished watching season 4 of 13 reasons why and right now all I have to say is

Alex and winston should have been endgame...

I said what I said and I do not take criticism.

I'm sorry but Alex and Charlie where rushed and I didn't like it. And I did ship Alex and zach since season 2 but him and winstons chemistry was so good.

And winston and monty where kinda good together.

I spent the whole season crushing on winston. Like, who gave him the right to be like that and look like that.

Also Justin deseved better.

Having read his expression, Bryce continued. "I don't know if you've heard or if I have the permission to disclose but . . . he's getting beat up at home." Bryce paused, and threw Alex a look—hesitation or maybe waiting for his reaction which Alex didn't give any of away. "Yes, he's abused."

"Abused?" Alex muttered under his breath so low Bryce wouldn't hear it. He turned back to Monty who lay motionless on the field.

How the boys of 13rw would react to...

realizing they have feelings for you 

Montgomery: 

He had no idea why but it would annoy the hell out of him. At first he didn’t realize what was happening, realize he was falling for you, until he knew everything about you and wanted nothing more than to call you his. He would watch how your face lit up when you laughed, watch your fingers filter through your hair and watch just how you viewed and longed to change the world. You would get under his skin in a way no one else had before, how he would feel shivers down his spine whenever you touched him or how the great Montgomery De La Cruz would be found speechless after one of your sassy remarks. He would constantly find any excuse to touch you or even be near you and if would only take thousands of talks with Justin and Zach for him to realize how much he cared about you, for him to realize he really really liked you and that he would do anything to be with you. 

 Zach:

You had been one of his best friend for longer than he could remember. You would help him with his basketball practices, with his school work, make sure he kept on track all the while accompanying him to parties and late night get togethers with your friends. He didn’t realize he was developing feelings for his best friend, he couldn’t comprehend why he adored and protected you so much, he didn’t understand that his best friend was also his soulmate. One time, after a long day you were there, as always, to cheer him up, keep his head straight, and he didn’t realize until the moment the two of you locked eyes after an honest and deep conversation that he understood and began to realize how he felt, how much and in what way he truly cared about you. 

Jeff:

Jeff Atkins held a hold of many girls hearts without even knowing so, so the irony was that you held his heart without even knowing so. Jeff had always felt drawn to you, felt like there could be so much more between the two of you then just friends who occasionally went to the mall and parties together. He didn’t realize he wanted so much more until it was pointed out to him by clay. “You’re staring” Jensen commented, not looking up from the paper the two of them were supposed to be studying. Jeff blinked and swiveled his head back towards clay “What?” He would question “No I’m not” to which clay would only respond to with an eyebrow raise. He had never drawn the connection until that moment. Realized he was staring, realizing he had stared at you a lot, not in a creepy way of course, but in an adoring way, a way that no friend should look at one another, a way that only lovers should share. And that was when he decided that lovers the two of you would become.

Justin:

Justin would always hang around you at parties, share every laugh and every drink, never realizing what he was getting himself into. He was always protective of you, making sure to keep any other guy away from you or you away from any other guy. He would never laugh louder than he would with you, he would never feel as happy as he did when he was by your side, you were like his best friend, but he always knew he wanted more. He was never one to be afraid to ask a girl out but with you he constantly pushed down his feelings all up until one night. You two were at a party, of course, and the two of you were in the living room, dancing along to the music and the other group of drunk teenagers and it wasn’t until you grabbed his hands and put them around you the the could no longer suppress how he felt. That night, you brought everything out of him with just the bat of your eyelashes and a harmless smile. Damn, did he fall for you.

Alex:

You were like the female version of himself. The two of you would spend hours up at night, playing video games, talking late on the phone, walking to and from the park and more. You never felt safer than when you were with Alex and he felt just the same. Some cold nights, during your walks, he would give you his jacket, or even wrap his arms around you to keep you from shivering, but he thought nothing of it at the time. The two of you didn’t even have to speak, as long as you were together you were fine. One night he was at your house, like usual, watching you read or do simply things, how your hair fell into your face, how you smiled to yourself when something funny or admirable happened, or how your face curled or crunched up whenever something bad would occur, he loved every curve of your face and every expression it made, and that’s when it occurred to him, he was starting to fall in love with you. Not as friends or in a brotherly way, but in a way he couldn’t describe, in a way that made him want to grab your waist, pull you close and never let you go.

Clay: 

He could never understand you. Understand how happily you viewed the world, understand how you kept on facing forward and marched straight into the world, understand how you could keep a brave and bright face matter what was coming your way. He admired you for those qualities and many more, but he didn’t necessarily know just how much he admired you. He didn’t understand why he always seemed to gravitate closely to you, long to feel your hand intertwined with his, it wasn’t until the two of you hugged that he realized he never wanted to let go. Then he realized that the admiration he felt for you were feelings of adoration and the beginning stages of love and then everything became clear.

Seriously go fuck yourself if you ship Monty and Winston. Monty was a rapist. He did countless terrible things to countless people. Yes, he has a heartbreaking family life and I understand the severity of internalised homophobia, but you know what? Lots of people are hurt for being LGBTQ+ but it doesn't mean they all become bullies or rapists. He's not some 'sad, repressed hot gay boy' for you to make fan edits of, he is a terrible person. Monty beats the shit out of winston and if you're going to romanticize or fetishize their relationship, you can fuck. Off.
