I don’t know if you’re still into your Yuuri on Portal AU, but if you are I’ve got some questions! How does the GLaDOS and Otabek team-up work here? Does Yurio start coming back to himself after being disconnected? Does he immediately remember, does he remember later, or does he regain his memories over time? Does Otabek realise the tragedy behind this teenager becoming GLaDOS and does he hold it against Yurio? How does his opinion of GLaDOS/Yurio change over time?

/inhale/ I am not into it anymore I guess but, I am more than happy to talk about what I never came to do with it? DAMN some of my ideas have been lost in time, but I will do my best.

So, the YoP universe followed very heavily the actual plot of Portal 2. So basically, the idea was that very much like the original, after Yuri's betrayal (Wheatley), Otabek (Chell) gets thrown deep into the ground. But because I didn't want to use the potato plot line, Yurio (GlaDOS) just got unplugged. He was later taken to Otabek by Mila (it is this comic here). The reason if I remember well was because she was generally looking out for Yurio and knew that Otabek was his best bet and that Yuri was likely to fuck everything up. She didn't stick around though, I think she shut down soon after the fall? I can't recall.

In the unlikely alliance under Aperture's facilities, much like Caroline, through prerecorded messages Yurio starts to also remember things about who he was. In Portal 2, Chell had to do all the work but Otabek and Yurio ended up working together a little more, since he had a body and could actually help and all. Because of the long stay, Yurio has to do more too because Otabek doesn't have food or water to keep him stable. It is very much a case of people that were forced to work together but have a common enemy and eventually start to tolerate and like each other.

If I remember correctly, I had a few endings in mind but the most likely one was one where Yurio and Otabek escaped together (it was a very Blue Sky inspired ending), while Yuri stayed in the facility with Viktor.
