Story: 

It was too unfair. 

After all he had been through, Tawnymoon couldn't have died like this! 

Any other cat would have been proud of the life Tawnymoon had lead. Though he was deaf, he had risen above his early hardships to become the deputy of MorningClan, a duty he relished with all his heart. He and Mottlefrost was the most envied couple in the entire Clan, and he loved all of his kits, both his biological litter and his one adopted son, with the ferocity of a wolf. 

He mentored four apprentices and cared for them just as much as he did his kits. He always took in sick loners who he found on patrol and confronted the other Clans’ leaders when they trespassed on MorningClan territory... a decision that would cost him his life.

He had confronted NewtClan for stealing prey from MorningClan territory, and that foxheart Hazelstar had denied it. Tawnymoon was furious, but after talking it over with Quietstar, they decided it would be better for them to confront NewtClan at the next Gathering.

Before he could do that, though, he was ambushed on patrol by NewtClan warriors and captured. He could have gotten away had he not been gesturing at Sedgeclaw and Fidgetfrost to run. Still, Tawnymoon had full faith in Quietstar to come negotiate with Hazelstar and break him free. 

But only two moons in his prisonership, he caught blackcough and died.

It was completely unfair! He still had so many things he wanted to do. He and Mottlefrost had just started discussing having a second litter of kits. He had spoken with Quietstar about mentoring her nephew, Hornetkit. Barkfur had finally gotten a mate. Worse of all, he never got to say goodbye to any of his loved ones.

NewtClan took his last days away from him. 

NewtClan must pay.

He began visiting MorningClan cats in dreams, telling them what had happened, and that Newtclan must pay for what they had done. It worked, and soon a MorningClan patrol had broken into NewtClan camp and killed Hazelstar. 

But Tawnymoon wasn't satisfied just yet. He revisited the MorningClan cats and told them to keep going, that he wouldn't be satisfied until every NewtClan cat that had participated in his capture was dead and in the Dark Forest where they belonged.

They obliged, of course. That was expected. What Tawnymoon should have expected was for the NewtClan cats to strike back. 

The war was brief, but it was bloody. Half of both NewtClan and MorningClan were wiped out. Quietstar lost four of her remaining six lives fighting those battles. Grayfire, Barkfur, Mottlefrost, Gorsepelt, Sedgeclaw, Ivywhisker, and Duskmuzzle were all killed fighting in his name. 

Though Tawnymoon was happy to be reunited with them all, he knew it shouldn't have been like this. Hounddusk, Marshswoop, and Slatethorn, three of the cats whose dreams Tawnymoon had visited, and who had been killed in the war with NewtClan, agreed with him. 

They went to the previous leader, Swiftstar, and told her of what he had done, and she came to him and told him he was exiled from StarClan. 

Though his family and apprentices protested, Tawnymoon accepted his fate with his head held high. At least this time, he was able to nuzzle Mottlefrost on the forehead, tell her how much he loved her, and say goodbye to all of his gathered loved ones before slinking away into the Dark Forest.

--Tawnymoon is a good teacher, but has horrid social skills. As a young warrior, he brought back a loner who wanted to join MorningClan, only for that loner to take one of Swiftstar's lives.

--We have known Tawnymoon for two hours but if anything happens to him we will kill everyone on this hellsite and then ourselves.

those are my warrior ocs Coniferstar (yellow cat with the flower) and Gullpad (shadow cat) ! Coniferstar is struggling with the founding of Morningclan and her new duties as Morningclan's leader. being thrown into a position in which you have to take care of an entire group of cats and guide them to safety without any experience is scary for sure! Gullpad is..... maybe having some evil thoughts.

I'm currently been obsessing over Clangen and I have created four clans to play that all live in the same area and have connected stories!!!

Welcome to Dampclan! ------------------------------------------------

Basic summery: Dampclan is the smallest clan at The Edge of The World, they live in a once beautiful cave that is situated next to the lowest camp of Bluffclan, sharing a border with them and Morningclan. Their camp is marked by a large oak tree protruding from the ground and at the base of it there is a small hole that leads down into the decent sized cave. From the far south portion of the wall there is a stream that runs into the camp and flows through in a small lake in a dip in the rocks that eventually leads to another small hole, though no cat goes there because it leads to a steep drop. Because of their dark environment, the cats of Dampclan have very good eyesight and navigation skills.

Lore: Dampclan did not always exist in the form it is in today, back many moons before it used to be known as Mossclan. The clan was much larger at the time and the cave they occupied with filled with greenery and moss, despite all the happiness, Starclan was never happy with them. The medicine cat at the time, Leafjaw, had received an omen of death and starvation sweeping over the clan with her being helpless to do anything. As the leader, Hollystar, and Leafjaw were trying to figure out what to do about the omen, one of their warriors named Maplepond had been visited by a Starclan cat in her dreams. She was told a long wait lays ahead of her and after bringing this up to Leafjaw, the medicine cat believes she must be the one to save the clan. In an order from her leader, Maplepond is told to leave the clan and head for the twoleg fishing place to wait, informing her that she will know when to come back. Scared and alone, the warrior takes some travelling herbs and makes her way over there, meeting many cats in the process who she brings along to stay with her. Some went and more came along as she continued to wait, 100 moons went by before she was visited by the Starclan spirit of her brother, Hatchlight, who showed her the way back to her old home. Now 136 moons old, Maplepond leads a group of loners and former kittypets to what used to be known as Mossclan, now all it was was a barren cave with only reminders that cats had lived there. She names herself as leader of the new clan, goes and recives her nine lives from The Crashing Waters and names the new clan of cats as Dampclan.

Clan Qualities: Unlike the other three clans in the area, since Dampclan is so new that are still establishing their own culture and finding out who they are, separate from the old Mossclan. Due to how the cave was structured, there was nowhere to make proper nests or dens out of and nowhere to dig anything out, therefore Dampclan has began to become known as construction workers. Cats will go up to the surface and drag many things like sticks and branches down to the cave and create walls for dens, using weaving techniques and sap to keep them together. Moss is also commonly used in this clan as the roofs of dens since there is no need for much protection from things above but also as coats to wear while in camp. The cats wear long coats of moss that are fashioned to stay on their bodies and keep them warm while in the cave and especially in cold months, the cats also decorate the coats with whatever they would like to differentiate them. The moss coats are also traded with Bluffclan for goods that can only be obtained on the mountain, seeing as that clan needs to keep warm as well.

Clan Relations: Onionclan - Good friends! The clans are quite close as they are both made up of previous non-clan cats. Bluffclan - Uneasy alliance. It's a general rule that you don't want to get on Bluffclan's bad side, they are the biggest clan in the forest and even being neutral towards them is for the best. Morningclan - Enemies. Though Bigstar, the leader of Morningclan, is trying to develop an allience with Dampclan, most of the cats in the clan itself hold distain for Dampclan and state that Maplestar should have never come back.

Event tidbits: Seedstalk was never meant to become a medicine cat, being apprenticed to the previous medicine cat, Brightspirit, one moon before she was meant to be made a warrior. The reason she was assigned to be one is because a lot of cats were getting injured early on in the development of the clan and it was too much for Brightspirit to handle. This infuriated the medicine cat, putting his hatred towards Seedpaw and her become distant with him, even though they shared the medicine den. Brightspirit died of whitecough after refusing to let the two medicine cats see him and Seedstalk did not mourn his death.

Whisperpaw is a very odd cat among the clan, the first cat from outside to be brought in after the clan was established. Brightspirit had found her as a kit next to her dead mother and siblings, she was the only kit who managed to survive from the litter and was brought back to the clan. Later on when she was at her apprentice ceremony, after touching noses with her mentor, Curlshell, he proceeds to fall over and die due to a leg wound he had received a couple of moons back that had become infected. This lead to cats being wary of Whisperpaw and thinking she was cursed, Maplestar taking her under her wing.

Applespot wasn't the first deputy of Dampclan, the previous deputy had been a cat by the name of Ermineheart. She was very popular in the clan and was very close with Maplestar, them having been friends while the leader was waiting for a sign to come back. In an unfortunate turn of events, she was picked up by some hiking twolegs while out on a hunting patrol and was taken off with them. Maplestar held out hope that she would come back and only appointed Applespot as being the new deputy after they receive word from Onionclan that her body was found not far outside of their territory. She did not leave without ripple effects however, when Maplestar had a litter of two kits, she named one of them Erminekit after her old friend.

Applespot actually has two adopted children named Leopardclaw and Rabbitflower. They were found near the edge of their territory without a mother in sight and were brought back to the clan, the ginger tom then took them in. They have grown up in the clan not knowing they are of kittypet origin, Leopardclaw always being more skilled than her sibling and constantly showing them up no matter what it was. Rabbitflower is resentful of their sister, wishing they could be leader one day to finally be out of her shadow. (Rabbitflower and Leopardclaw pictured below)

Another cat I have not shown above is one of the newer cats of the clan, Rockstep. He was a former kittypet named Rumble and he is a shameless senior warrior who acts as the main construction worker for the clan and the local emotional support dad. He likes to gossip with Seedstalk about clan drama and is one of the oldest cats in the clan.

Condorheart came to the clan as a medicine cat seeking refuge from the harsh weather of leaf-bare. He was recognized very easily as being one of the three medicine cats (at the time) of Bluffclan and when questioned why he had left, he talks vaguely about a horrible tragedy that he could not bare to face. The clan accepted him in under the condition of becoming one of their medicine cats since Brightspirit was getting old, he accepted but requested to never attend gatherings and keep his place in the clan a secret.

Hello clangen enthusiasts! To be clear I’m not doing an entire clangen drawing challenge about this clan (especially since I’m nearly on my 300th moon with them) but since I’ve already posted the founders drawing I thought I’d fill you all in. I’m mostly going to be focusing on aesthetics and the basics of the clan:

First off, I choose this lovely camp type:

Going off of this and the name I choose, I picture it as a green mossy forest littered with large sycamore trees. It’s shady with a rocky ground covering. Only thin beams of light pass through thick canopies of ancient branches.

Sycamoreclan cats hunt squirrels, mice, and voles primarily. And must worry about the badgers, red and grey foxes, and dogs around them.

Their neighbouring clans are Wetclan, Whirlclan, Morningclan, and their on and off rivals Swiftclan. I’ve used a fantasy map creator to outline their territory here:

Sycamoreclan and Swiftclan often fight over a smaller grove of trees divided from ordinary Sycamore territory by a river, but not yet into Swifts mountain range.

Above is the generated backstory of the clan a warrior told their apprentice on patrol. And my drawing of the founding cats.

So I don't have many names worked out, or much in general done, just some of the basics, but I'm hoping to separate it from the warrior cats series and make my own prophecies and stuff instead of just doing rewrites. I don't mind doing rewrites but it can be rather annoying at times. I plan on bringing out my own warrior cat from retirement for filler characters (Waspfeather, Dustsong, Mistybreeze, Pringles, ect (I have a lot, I used to roleplay))

Papermint (Mintstar) is the leader of Lightclan because I want to do more with Echofall (Vox) and not have him tied to Lightclan because of his leader responsibilities, and since Papermint is Vox's assistant, I figured he would be the best fit for a leader

Deerheart (Alastor) and Echofall will be mates despite being from rival clans, Velvetfur (Velvette) will know about their relationship and keep it a secret. Motheye (Val) would find out later. I imagine he would also keep it a secret, but very begrudgingly. Echofall and Motheye would be ex mates, so Motheye would be a bit jealous of Deerheart

Orchidstar (or maybe Songstar?) (Charlie) would find out from Deerheart because I think he would be her deputy (she didn't want people to think she was biased so Feathersky (Vaggie) wasn't made deputy)

She would be torn. She would want to keep it a secret but also feel the need to tell people. Slowly Echofall and Deerheart would tell people and eventually the two clans (Lightclan and Morningclan) would join together to make Dawnclan (morning-light) because they would realize that they all tried to keep Deerheart and Echofall's relationship a secret from everyone and they would realize how alike they really are. Mintstar would step down and be a warrior, (he would still have his name and lives, but he would be on the front row constantly in battle)

Morningstar (Lucifer) and Deerheart would not get along, but Rosestar (Rosie) would get along with everyone- naturally.

I haven't decided on Heaven's and Hell's names and members and member’s names, but I think for Hell I'm going to go with Hellborns

How should I introduce the concept of cooking to one of my Clans, Morningclan, if they’re new to the concept?

It would be pretty epic for a cat to discover fire, maybe after a blaze or something when there's a bunch of cooked prey bodies around the territory.

Collect some embers, give it some kindle, and then bring it back to the Clan

Lore:

Primstalk was one of the first cats I fell in love with in Morningclan. Their beautifully patterned pelt stuck out to me as well as their pretty name. It also helped that I was so attached to their pretty calico mother, Bramblebee. I loved all Bramble’s other kits too, Egretpaw, Downclaw, Peatwhisker and especially Crouchwhisker and Tallbite, the only of the siblings to make it to elderhood together. The littermates other mother is quite special to me too, Slightflood, daughter of founding clan members, Waspholly and Rockstar. Back to Primstalk, they were made deputy quite young due to a lack of qualified cats in the early days of the clan. Their ambition and good fighting skills took them far. They chose Swanheart as a mate, a formerly abandoned kitty pet kit who had been left with the clan. He was always on the nervous side but was a talented hunter. I was concerned and pretty sad when Swanheart died after only having a single kit with his beloved mate. That kit is Jetshadow. Primstalk followed their mate to starclan but not before a fair bit of trauma, including a scar from an otter and nearly drowning in a river. They died in a battle against Roseclan, that same battle killed Bramblebee as well.

Jetshadow stole my heart right away. Dark fur with blue eyes is a lovely combo and I love the pretty berries she wears. Jetshadow is a calm headed warrior, and a great teacher to their former apprentice ferretbloom. She survived a wicked fight with a dog, earning scars and losing a leg in the battle. Her mate Ospreysky was a medicine cat, a good one at that and very loving. It’s tradition among my clans to make ginger cats med cats, and Ospreysky was no execption, especially when sickness raged through Morningclan, requiring more medicine cats to be trained. They were trained by Jetshadow’s relative Tallbite. Jet and Osprey had several kits together, their first litter is very close to my heart, Cedarwhisper and the late Mottlepelt. Cedarwhsiper is the spitting image of her parent, right down to the odd eyes. She is also a med cat trained by Tallbite, but not originally. She her first trained as a warrior, as evident by the scar she got from a twoleg trap during a patrol. The bold young cat is a great healer and never regrets changing her path to help her clan when they needed her most. The loss of her littermate, Mottlepelt was a tough time for her and her family. He was a strict cat and a great speaker. He suffered much before dying alongside many clanmates. He was ordered by Burdockstar to fend off a badger which caused him to lost his tail and he also lost a paw in a twoleg trap just like Jetshadow. The pair have younger siblings too, Brookheart, who was the resembled grandparent Swanheart, Antlerpelt who looked like Jetshadow, gingers Fadedfur and Fadedfoot and pale pelted Heronhollow, the black, or rather, white sheep of the family. After Jetshadow lost her mate, she took another, pretty calico Branchjaw. They have had one litter together so far, Burdockpaw, Frostpaw and Icypaw, who have just turned 6 moons old and started their warrior training. I’ll be keeping a close eye on Icypaw who takes after Jetshadow, the only surviving family member who does.

Heronhollow is the bloodline that grabbed my attention though, but not because of her, but rather her mate. But lets talk about her before we get into that. Heron is playful and smart, bringing light to the days of sorrow and loss. Thanks to the influence of her former mentor, Aurorafur, she learned how to be a fine warrior and become a lot more outgoing. Her mate is Buckspots. This cat didn’t stand out to me at first, aside from being Warmcreek’s daughter who was from a set of triplets I loved. But then Buckspots was ambushed by a wolverine, killing her instantly. Or so I thought. When I looked through Morningclan’s ranks, thERE SHE WAS. Long live the immortal Buckspots who said no to starclan. I’m sure her patrol mates were very confused to come home to find Buckspots just chilling after they witnessed such a brutal attack on her. Anyways haha, Buckspots is a wise cat in spite of her young age... and knack for walking into trouble. And a good fighter, escaping the jaws of death without so much as a scar to show for it. Her and Heronhollow have two litters of kits so far, twins Blossomspeckle and Ferretbloom who take after Warmcreek and his matching siblings, and newborn kits, Seedkit and Birchkit, who I hope grow up to continue this family line I love so much.
