Mothra vs. Godzilla (Mosura tai Gojira) / Emi and Yumi Ito as the Twin Fairies

The dresses for the twin fairies are very nature-themed, with the floral trim and the suggestion of petals at the waist. The fluffy hats look like dandelions gone to seed. At one point, the twins also wear little white shoulder capes for some unknown reason.

Apologies if the sight of these two gives you an inescapable earworm!

Mothra(queen of the monsters)

Mothra es un Kaiju japones de la franquicia de Godzilla, descrita como protectora de la humanidad, debuto en el filme "mothra" de 1961, siendo icono del tokosatsu, a aparecido multiples veces en la saga.

Es descrita como un insecto gigante con la fisiología de una polilla, tiene como colores principales el blanco, negro y amarillo sus ojos son de color azul claro y tiene bastante pelaje alrededor del cuerpo sus alas son de una envergadura considerablemente extensa.su forma de larva es mucho mas simplificada siendo generalmente de color marrón oscuro con varias protuberancias bucales y ojos diminutos que pueden ser azules o rojos.

este kaiju al igual que las polillas normales tiene 4 formas, las cuales son:

1-huevo: el huevo es la primera forma de este kaiju, no hay mucho que decir solo que es enorme ademas de poseer la tonalidad celeste con franjas amarillas tenues.

2-larva: esta forma es mas por así decirlo mas compleja, su diseño es el de una oruga o mas bien gusano bien segmentado que puede variar del color marrón oscuro, claro o hasta incluso gris, tiene ojos de tonalidad azul o rojo como dije anteriormente ademas de tener unas mandíbulas enormes. tiene ademas la habilidad de nadar muy rápido, expulsar seda como arma y una poderosa mordida.

3-crisálida: esta forma es solo el capullo formado por la seda de la forma larva para hacer metamorfosis antes de salir a su próxima forma.

4-imago(adulto): esta es la ultima forma de mothra dicho anteriormente esta forma es la de una polilla gigantesca que dependiendo de la adaptación puede lanzar seda, aguijones, escamas, etc pero siempre se le representa como un ser místico con todas las letras.

su historia es muy curiosa por así decirlo, su primera aparición fue en el contexto de la salvación de sus sacerdotisas(si ella tiene sacerdotisas, es para comunicarse con los humanos ya sea de su isla o no), en otras adaptaciones es la diosa del agua o simplemente un titan simbiotico llamado mosura que ah perdurado millones de años alimentándose de radiación.

se sabe que mothra es hembra y que transfiere sus recuerdos a través de sus larvas para que así perduren solo que hay una minima posibilidad de que salga una larva macho, y eso paso en la película rebirth of mothra donde sale la primera larva macho que es llamada vulgarmente Mothra Leo, esta variante de la especie es muy poderosa ya que tiene una variedad importante de poderes nuevos pero conservando las cuatro primeras formas, los nuevos poderes que obtuvo esta version fueron, volverse invisible lanzar rayos caloríficos desde su cuerpo poder adaptarse al agua ademas de poder tener una forma de super velocidad que le permiten superar las barreras espacio-temporales para así solo poder viajar al pasado por lo que se ah visto.

The Mothra theme song is now on an endless loop in my head.

It’s not so much an earworm as an ear larvae which is threatening to take its final form as a magnificent giant kaiju moth, while two adorable tiny women from a forbidden island sing songs of praise and awe.

Still, it’s an improvement on the last theme song that got stuck in my head - the one for The Archers on BBC’s Radio 4, which refused to leave for about eighteen months and drove me and my family mad because it just wouldn’t stop. It was made much worse by the fact that I’d never even listened to The Archers. Or Radio 4.

I’ve resigned myself to happily and mindlessly singing “Mosura ya Mosura” for the next six months, minimum.

It’ll leave when it’s ready. Probably.

Just a sexy little headcannon of mine that Emma Russel got the idea of using the ORCA with the Kaiju from the 1961 expedition to Infant Island. The people of the island sang an old song that was taught to them by their god, a prayer of peace and friendship that called their God to them in times of need.

As it happens, that song (Mosura, ya, Mosura) immitates Mothra's sonar signature, it's ultra-low frequency Titan pattern. So from Mothra's perspective, it chirped "Hello!" At humanity, and humanity chirped "hello" back. If in a somewhat squeaky little voice.

#MonsterMarch Day 3: #Mothra Other than looking more like a moth, I've always envisioned Mothra with a more aggressive form. I want her to get into more close combat situations by biting, clawing, or even swinging her wings at other kaiju (I did want to draw her with larger wings, but I was working with limited space). Also, her stinger from KOTM is a cool idea so, while I didn't draw it, I still imagine it coming from her butt area right there lol. . . . ORIGINAL FOR SALE: $100 . . .
