But what if Sylvie's original nexus event wasn't anything to do with something she actually did or was going to do, it's just that He Who Remains needed to set her on the path to her Scary Revenge-Quest so that she could eventually kill him and free the multiverse? I realise that's a bit "and so clearly Eve was supposed to eat the apple because otherwise none of the rest of it could happen and so Him Upstairs was just protesting too much to throw everyone off the scent" but what if? It can work with the time-loop theory or as an attempt to break out of a time-loop by adding a new element to events. And it'd be very fucked up because then almost her entire life has been for the benefit of someone else and her revenge turns out to be the very thing that was intended in the first place so it's not even real revenge.

There's probably a fic idea in there somewhere if nothing else. My theories about things are almost always wrong so I don't expect this to be the shocking twist I just felt like typing it out for the heck of it really.
