I gotta admit, morale has been pretty low around here. After our discharge from the hospital, I seemed to have caught some secondary infection so I had to cope with fever, chills and extra pain on top of recovering from the c-section and juggling the whole breastfeeding cycle. This confinement period hasn’t been very confined after all since we’ve had to head out and make multiple trips to the hospital. Second time round feels familiar yet all new at the same time. I know I don’t make sense sometimes but mamas out there, you know exactly what I’m talking about😖😭 . I honestly don’t like looking in the mirror now. This postpartum, recovering, raw body doesn’t feel very beautiful. I know it’s all part of the fourth trimester cycle, our new normal that needs some time to balance out. These days are lengthy and may feel blue, but they will pass quickly. I’m actually really glad we had the CNY break to dress up and get out just before baby got here. I’m also super thankful for family, especially our mothers who have been helping out in whatever way they can. Seriously #mothersarethebest. . Today baby Timmy is one week old and we’re so thankful he has been growing as well as possible. He has been such a wonderful addition to the family so far.
