Had another demo and decided to once again finish an old piece for it. This one was originally cut at the same time as Morning Cattails and set aside in the same box. I must've been in a rush because #21 (the brown s-shaped piece in the center) had a broken tip but I'd left myself a note about it as well as spare glass enough to replace it.
All mouthblown antique German glass of unknown make, aside from one 3/4"x3/4" and two 3/4"x1" bevels. The blues all come from the same sheet, which I love. It's hard to tell here, but the darker blue pieces get up to nearly 6mm thick, and the two brown border pieces are barely 2mm thick. I set 16ga wire into the zinc and edge soldered it around the bloom for added stability.
Process pics once again under the cut.
No real drama this time, just a straight forward build. No picture of it foiled before soldering though, since I was mid-demo and couldn't pull out my phone.

Robert Fraser and Paul McCartney, 1981
Paul McCartney and Robert Fraser, 1981, at MPL in London; photo by Linda McCartney
Brian Clarke and Linda McCartney: Collaborations, 1994-1999
Between 1994 and 1998, Brian Clarke and Linda McCartney collaborated on three series of stained glass artworks combining traditionally mouthblown glass and black and white photography through a novel process of silk-screening they devised.
Edited to add this photo, which was surely taken at the same time:
But also this photo, with Michael Jackson, who's wearing the same sweater!
They started recordings for Say Say Say at AIR Studios in London in May 1981. Did Paul borrow Michael's sweater, or vice versa? Did Robert meet Michael Jackson?
UPDATE: Mystery solved!
This was posted to Brian Clarke's Facebook account in 2017 with the caption "A special moment captured of Brian Clarke, Michael Jackson, and Paul McCartney, posing for Linda McCartney. Soho, London 1982. Photo by #RobertFraser (art dealer)"
So interesting that Robert, Brian Clarke, and Michael Jackson were all there on the same day, presumably for a photo shoot as Linda has all her gear set up; perhaps this was part of an ongoing collaboration between Brian and Linda.
Clarke's caption says this was 1982, but other sources online say 1981.
Addendum:
This is a copy of Linda's photo with annotations by Fraser. It looks like it has instructions to send it to Brian Clarke in Italy.
