The urge to make more ball gowns after Snow is strong!! But I have a serious space issue... ๐Ÿค— #top5moviegowns Give me floral. Give me pastel. Give me lace. I'm in. In no particular order: Top left: Audrey in Sabrina. It's sleek. It's elegant. The details and beading and contrast is just beautiful. Bottom left: Snow White's Swan gown from the live action movie Mirror Mirror. To be honest, all the costue and design work in this movie were jaw droppingly gorgeous! But I especially loved the animal themed ones in the dance scene. Top right: Belle's finale dress in the live action beauty and the beast. Yellow one was atrocious. But this one...So pretty. So flowy. Middle right: all the gowns in Marie Antoinette. But I especially love printed fabrics so the garden dress was one of my favs. Bottom right: Kaylee's big dress from Firefly, episode Shindig. Not a movie, but still one of my fav dresses. So pink and poofy and ruffly. And there's SOOOO many more that were close but didn't make the cut :/ . . . #topfive #moviedresses #movie #costume #costumes #costumedesign #dresses #gowns

There was a fair amount of press surrounding the 1956 film ๐‘ซ๐’Š๐’‚๐’๐’†, starring Lana Turner, with costumes by Walter Plunkett. Turner was photographed next to many of Plunkettโ€™s creations for publicity for the film. Despite the filmโ€™s large budget, many costumes were still taken from earlier productions. This particular dress, also designed by Plunkett, originated in the 1953 film ๐’€๐’๐’–๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ฉ๐’†๐’”๐’” on Kathleen Byron as Ann Seymour. It was used again in ๐‘ซ๐’Š๐’‚๐’๐’† three years later by an uncredited actress as a Lady in Waiting to Catherine de Medici. . . . . . . . . .
