Solution 2 / Concept visualisation

Tone of voice: humorous, vibrant, friendly
Concept: This packaging is designed to attract the attention of younger audiences, as it has similar features to products that usually contain additive, however when they get to look at this closely they will discover that it is a healthier alternative.
Target audience: younger people that need convenient and quick food
Reflection: While the concept holds potential, it shares visual similarities with existing trends in the market, potentially blending in rather than standing out. Although it is more developed in terms of processed food factors, further development is needed to enhance its uniqueness and appeal.

Notes and sketches / Illustrated ingredients

At this stage, my ideas and target audience remain broad as I still continue conducting research to refine my project proposal. However, I've begun brainstorming brand names and slogans to provide a foundation for further development.
In terms of communicating the use of natural ingredients, I've devised a solution: creating symmetrical illustrations of the actual ingredients. These illustrations will form a visual pattern, serving both as a decorative element and as a purposeful design component.

Sketches / Visual concepts and ideas

I found myself in a creative block with my visuals, so I decided to jot down all the ideas swirling around in my mind.
One concept that stood out was illustrating fibers to emphasise the natural structure of the product. However, upon further reflection, I realised it might be challenging for people to interpret the imagery, especially for products like milk and meat that don't contain fibers.
Another direction I considered was showcasing the production process in intricate detail, making it the focal point of the design.
This didn't really lead me anywhere, but such exercises allow me to generate varying concepts and provide room for fresh ideas to come.

Ingredients first

I've created these sketches to illustrate my vision of prioritising ingredients, which ensures that customers have full transparency from the moment they see the product. The primary method I've used is creating the relative amounts of each ingredient through illustrated levels. While I believe this concept has potential, I now need to further develop branding options to complement these designs.

Solution 4 / Concept visualisation

Tone of voice: corporate, clean, safe
Concept: There's a number of people that are stuck in their ways and they always purchase same brands for convenience. This was designed to blend into the market and give people a healthy alternative to what they usually buy.
Target audience: people that are stuck in their ways and purchase only certain brands
Reflection: While the use of patterns is visually cohesive, I think the overall direction may not effectively differentiate the brand from existing options in the market. Therefore, further exploration may be needed to create a more distinctive identity.

Solution 3 / Concept visualisation

Tone of voice: protective, strong, healthy
Concept: This is designed to make people feel safe - this brand will take care of their issues and resolve the problem of UPF food. These features are embodied through a black panther, as it is a strong and caring animal.
Target audience: people that need guidance with their eating
Reflection: I think this has a lot of potential with the idea of using different characteristics throughout the brand to elevate the impact and engagement with the products. However, there's a risk that it may be perceived as a product for animals, depending on the visual style and messaging employed. So further refinement in these areas will be crucial.

Other ideas

After reviewing my previous subject reflections, I decided to mix up my responses and explore different topics to generate additional project concepts. While I remain particularly interested in the theme of ultra-processed food, this exercise has been beneficial in broadening my understanding of potential execution methods.

Idea 3 / Wine rebrand
My second idea involves undertaking a rebranding project for my dad鈥檚 homemade wine. This would include enhancing the bottle design and developing new packaging concepts to elevate the overall presentation of the product.
