Started it in December before we saw the show, and adhd'd finishing it. After finally seeing the show 8 times in 2 weeks, we managed to get it done by the final day to pass on the prints to Leonie (Doris) & Teddy (Mike).

Day 9 of Inktober 2024 series; Breast Cancer Awareness

To celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I came up to draw the two characters from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory holding their chests to keep the strength, and get well over; Veruca Salt and Mr. Teavee. But I heard that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so here I come participating on what I've got to show. It also contains stressing the importance of regular screening, starting at age 40 or an age that's appropriate for your personal breast cancer risk, but that isn't after all.

What would be the fates of the bachelorettes if they went on a tour of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory? I think there's a stick of blueberry gum with Haley's name on it. lol

This is a bit of a loaded ask, because I have to go into it defining some parameters and conditions. I’ll do my best to stick with the bachelorettes (which is hard for this prompt because as a whole they’re pretty virtuous ngl) and also to the original executions from the chocolate factory. Also I think Mr Qi would be Wonka in this case

There are five golden tickets and six bachelorettes, let’s say Emily didn’t get a ticket but she was Haley’s plus one.

Tbh I don’t think any of the bachelorettes would fall into the chocolate river, it doesn’t suit any of them as a punishment (if bachelors were allowed it would 100% be Sam). I think for the purposes of the narrative it could be Leah, but instead of a punishment for gluttony she could… like… try to forage in the big candy land and fall in while trying to search in a restricted area. Idk I’ll have to workshop that one

I actually think Abigail would be the one to insist on chewing the gum. She has the competitive nature for it, and it’s appropriate for her color theme (maybe she goes into the factory with chestnut brown hair, and then it starts turning violet as she transforms into the blueberry?)

Haley seems more like the Veruca Salt of the group. She’s described as wealthy, popular, and self-centered, so I think the comparison is stronger here. Haley isn’t as bratty as Veruca of course, but I can see her falling into the garbage chute as a parallel to her falling off a cow into the dirt

Maru would definitely be the Mike Teavee of the tour. The two of them are centered around technology and gadgetry, and I can see her being a little too eager to challenge the candy transmission tech and use it on herself.

Penny would be the Charlie Bucket of the bachelorettes, easy.

This was a fun crossover!! I’d love to see ConcernedApe make a game about a chocolatier…
