(Giving 2: Each Other) Space 2 Shine by PoetAllTeam
Giving each other space to shine
Looks like
Spaces extra in between words
Where some may accentuate closeness.
Nerves so tentative
Our closeness gives
Electricidness
Thunder walks
With cracks of smiles.
Only earthquakes could milkshake this genders milkshake we feel inside.

AI will continue to attract investment in near future in the healthcare industry
Artificial intelligence (AI) was seen as one of the top current investment priorities and was thought to continue to attract investment in the healthcare sector in the upcoming two years, according to GlobalData’s latest report ‘Digital Transformation and Emerging Technology in the Healthcare Industry – 2022 Edition’.
In this survey-based report tracker, digital media was prioritised as a top current investment target, with 53% of surveyed respondents confirming that their companies are currently investing in this technology. It was followed by AI, social media and big data (Figure 1). Compared with last year’s data, digital media saw the biggest increase in current investment, up by 22% from last year. AI (+9% from 2021), social media (+8%) and big data (+5%) have also gained since last year, besides trending as very popular technologies for investment priorities for several years. Their combined usage can release synergetic power and potential that could be disruptive to the healthcare sector.
While digital media was selected as the number one current investment target, the percentage of companies investing in this technology is expected to drop by 16% over the next two years. This would likely be due to the current inflation and rising costs, which contribute to a gloomy investment environment. In the next two years, the surveyed healthcare industry professionals believed that their companies will prioritise AI as the main investment target (figure 2).
Having topped the chart as the most attractive investment target since 2018, AI is a rather versatile technology that can be applied in a wide spectrum of processes in the pharmaceutical value chain, making processes faster and more efficient; eventually saving time and labour costs.
The technology has a multititle of applications; for example, companies like Exscientia are using AI to help their pharmaceutical clients analyse vast data sets to identify potential drug targets in a shorter time. K Health, in its AI-based telehealth app, is using AI and big data to help users access accurate information on their symptoms and connect with physicians; BioSymetrics is using AI and machine learning to provide a platform and models to help pharmaceutical companies to identify targets for drug discovery; while Bayer’s AI-enabled Calantic™ Digital Solutions platform, which combines AI with Cloud computing, is used to provide more structured tasks and more improved workflow, to ease workload and pressure for radiologists.
The new digital era has been driving the uptake of digital technologies. Technologies like AI are expected to bring disruptive power to and revolutionise processes within the healthcare sector. There has been an increasing number of successful AI-use cases in the healthcare industry that support a growing trust in AI. AI’s potential is substantial – not only limited to shortening the time and reducing cost in the drug discovery process, or providing healthcare professionals with faster and more accurate diagnoses.

I'm trying to figure out some timeline stuff for a fic I'm writing but I don't follow a lot of the New 52 reboot...So for a bit there Damian was dead and Dick was (fake)dead at the same time right? But it was only after Damian was brought back that Bruce lost his memory, right? Is that how things went or am I mixed up?
Considering how much I hate N52, I have a lot of knowledge of what was going on in Batman at the time since that was the peak of my Batman love. I’ll just briefly (and terribly) bullet point a timeline but it’ll be a little weird since it picked and re imagined stuff from pre52 (chronological mostly)
- Zero Year (Batman’s origin)
~ Vague approximation of pre-52 shoved into under 5 years (cries)
- Gleason Batman and Robin (Bruce and Dami’s partnership)
- Batman Inc continued from Pre52 (Bruce Wayne finances Batman)
- Court of Owls/Night of Owls/City of Owls (good but lacks batfam)
- Death of the Family (Joker acts like a jilted lover, multititle)
- Batman Inc vol 2 (Dami dies)
- Gleason B&R Requiem (Bruce goes loco after Damian)
- Graveyard Shift (short stories)
- Forever Evil (Dick’s ID is revealed, he fake his death on B’s orders)
- Robin Rises (Dami is back baby)
-Batman Eternal (I read this and you know what, I still don’t know what it was about in the end)
- Grayson (Dick is off being a super spy hella)
- Endgame (Batman fights Joker, dies, comes back to life with no memory)
- Grayson #12 (Dick comes back and tells the fam he’s alive but B is still amnesic)
-SuperHeavy (Bunny Gordo Bats, Amnesia Bruce works at a daycare)
- Bloom (Bruce is back, uh plant weirdo)
- Epilogue (Wrap up to Bloom and N52 Batman)
So to answer your question, Fake dead! Dick and Actual dead! Damian overlapped briefly with Dami coming back first. Dami was back being Robin for a good while before Bruce lost his memories in Endgame. Bruce gets his memories back in Bloom/Epilogue and then the universe is rebooted for Rebirth. I hope this helps. Also it killed me to double check this and have to type ‘when did nightwing fake his death’ ‘when did damian wayne die’ like christ why do all my boys gotta die? DC get your shit together

Seven TNT KaTropa players declare they want Terrence Romeo out
TNT dealt away Terrence Romeo for two role players and a future draft pick of San Miguel Beer after management acted on other KaTropa’s requests to trade away the three-time PBA scoring champion. Anthony Semerad and Brian Heruela, who have been playing behind the shadows of the multititled Beermen’s established stars, were given up by San Miguel together with its first round pick in 2021. The deal, which has been forwarded to the Commissioner’s Office for approval of Willie Marcial, was reached Monday, a day after the 2019 Draft, as Ka-Tropa management deemed it best to release Romeo rather than risk jeopardizing chemistry in the team. An Inquirer source, familiar with goings-on in the team but who spoke on the condition that he is not identified, bared that seven TNT players—some of the team’s biggest stars—have sought out management to petition Romeo’s removal. “He (Romeo) ruined the chemistry in the team, from what we gathered,” the source said as he added that TNT welcomes Heruela and Semerad. “It’s a pity because he is such a talented offensive player,” the source continued as the plan for Romeo, acquired from GlobalPort in a trade in April, to take over TNT when Jayson Castro retires will no longer happen. “But you cannot allow just one player—no matter how talented—to destroy what you’ve built over the years.” The source said Romeo has gotten into fights with teammates, even during practice sessions. “He doesn’t want to be touched and goes after his teammates when this happens,” the source said of Romeo. “He wants everything to be centered on him, which cannot happen.” Written by: Musong R. Review & Wrap-Up:
This adaptation of Cinderella is not going to be what you expect it to be. It is more of a hide-and-wait love story than it is a run-for-your-life story like the synopsis suggests its going to be.
While the story is kind of a reverse adaptation of Cinderella, with Ashley’s mother dying, Ashley is left with her step-father and step-brothers, who are cruel and mean. But from here, the connections to Cinderella stop - that is other than Ashley finding her prince charming!
Ashley’s step-father has made it his mission to take Ashley as his wife, and he will do anything to make this happen. Naturally, Ashley doesn’t want to be married to her cruel and vicious step-father, so she runs away to her Godfather, Gus, who helps hide her away from him. It is in hiding that she meets Julian, her not-so-friendly knight-in-shinning-armor.
With Julian, Ashley sits and waits. Either for her step-father to find her or for the FBI to finally get involved and take him down for his crimes.
I guess I should have seen it coming that Fragments of Ash was going to have almost zero action in it based on the cover, but I’m not one that likes to judge a book by its cover. And while I did find the beginning to be a little boring and fluffy, I did enjoy the read. It was interesting, because I could see the shift in the book while I was reading. I could tell that author Katy Regnery enjoys and is a lot more comfortable writing the meat of the story, and not so much with the beginning or history behind the story. The beginning was not only a struggle for me to read, but I believe a struggle for Katy to write.
Once you hit that turning point (which is right around when Julian’s sister comes to visit), the story takes off running and was an easy, fun, and flirtatious read with a dash of angst. I enjoyed the book so much from here that I have found myself thinking about the characters a few times since, something that only good books can make a person do!
If you’re looking for a dark but flirty twist of the old tale Cinderella, then pick up a copy of Fragments of Ash!
From one bookaholic to another, I hope I’ve helped you find your next fix. —Dani

A pale yellow wine with notes of white fruits, lemon and grapefruit. On the palate, this is a pure and lively wine which has good acidity and notes of ripe apple. Instead of going inside, I walk around the house, to the backyard, to see if I can help bring in any dirty dishes, but the picnic table is empty. All traces of our dinner party have already been cleaned up by the Ducharmes siblings.
I look up at the midnight sky, at the dozens and dozens of stars, and I wonder if Gus is right. What he says feels right, but I feel very young and very small as I stare up at the universe. It’s not wrong to give yourself over to loving if the chance arises.
“We get amazing night skies up here.”
I look over my shoulder and find Julian, tall, barefoot, and beautiful, walking toward me.
“Yes, you do,” I answer, giving him a shy and tentative smile before I turn my attention back upward.
My skin prickles with awareness. My lips tingle, remembering the insistent pressure of his. And elsewhere in my body, I clench hard, willing those deep-set tremors not to start up again right now. I want to believe what Gus has told me—that liking and wanting a man isn’t wrong—but it’s new to me, and I need a little time to reconcile my desire and conscience together.
“When I lived in DC, it was what I missed the most, besides Noelle. More than the cheese. More than the beer. More than the skiing.” He stops, standing beside me, staring up at the firmament. “I missed Vermont’s night skies. And the millions of stars.”
“I can see why,” I say. “When I lived in LA, I never saw stars.” I giggle. “I mean, I saw the people kind, but not the sky kind.”
“Who’s the most famous person you ever met?”
“Hmm. Maybe . . . Gigi Hadid . . . or Bella? Hmm . . . Or Cara Delevingne? Kate Moss mentored my m—Tig for a while, um, and she knew Gisele, of course. Also—”
“Wait a second! Gisele? Did you ever meet Tom Brady?” he asks, his voice eager.
“Let me guess.” I glance at his face. “Patriots fan?”
“The biggest.”
“Tig went to their wedding, but I never met him. Sorry,” I say, giggling as he lays a hand over his heart and pretends to cry. “Speaking of the rich and famous, Noelle tells me you met the vice president while you worked in Washington.”
“She did?” His teasing expression disappears quickly as he straightens, dropping his hand. “Uh, yeah. Long time ago.”
“Not so long,” I say.
“Yeah, well . . . I guess it just feels like a while ago.” I wait for him to say more, hoping to learn why he left Washington so abruptly, but he stretches his arms over his head and yawns. “I’m tired. You must be exhausted.”
“At school I was on the dining hall rotation, which meant cooking for one hundred souls regularly. Tonight was a breeze.”
“Your soup was amazing.”
“Thank you.”
“The steak too.”
“Thank you again.”
“And the tart.”
“That was your sister. Let her know you thought so.”
“And the kiss.”
“Thank—” I’m grinning at him, but my eyes widen at his unexpected compliment, and I immediately look back up at the sky. It’s dark out so he can’t see my blush.
His chuckle is soft and low beside me, and maybe I’m wicked for not feeling more guilty, but I feel my smile grow as I trace Orion’s belt. I don’t dare look at him, but I feel him step closer to me, the warmth of his chest radiating against my back. If I moved slightly, one step even, his body would be flush against mine, and the shiver down my arms has nothing to do with the night chill. I want him to touch me, but I know he won’t.
As though he can read my mind, he whispers, close to my ear, “Not unless you ask.”
I close my eyes and say a prayer for strength and virtue, which, sadly, works, because the next thing I hear is his footsteps receding.
“Good night, sweet Ashley,” he says to my back, his voice a low rumble.
My eyes open slowly to the glittering heavens.
“Good night, sweet prince,” I whisper to Julian’s stars.

GlobalPort ‘lends’ Franz to Adamson
Coach Franz Pumaren can now focus on his mission of turning the fortunes of Adamson Falcons in the UAAP around.
This developed after GlobalPort management and Pumaren reached an agreement that allowed the multititled coach to go on leave so he can concentrate on his task at Adamson.
“It’s our turn to give way to Adamson’s dream of winning their second UAAP championship,” said GlobalPort governor Erick Arejola. “Adamson allowed Franz to handle GlobalPort for a season so this time we will return the favor to them.”

Excerpt:
All rights reserved. Used with permission.
My mind skitters to her face—her beautiful fucking face—and the way she stared at me with those wide eyes and her lips lightly parted. Those lips. She has Angelina Jolie lips. Scarlett Johanssen lips. Liv-fucking-Tyler from the “Crazy” video lips. Except this chick doesn’t look like Liv. She’s got blonde hair and a perfect pout like Alicia Silverstone. I remember the beginning of that video when our girl, Alicia, climbs out a bathroom window in her Catholic school uniform, her skirt riding up to show her black lace panties…and ahhh, yes, I feel my cock twitch just picturing it.
Fuck my life.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
Because yeah, I was yelling at Jock, but she was standing behind him, and I didn’t miss the tight lines of her teenaged body under a pair of new jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt. Her rounded tits strained just a little against the fabric of her top. Not enough to be dirty. Just enough to hate her. Because no guy alive—least of all me—has a right to want someone like her. Or sure, we can wanther, but we’ll never have her. Not in a million years.
She looked to be about Noelle’s age—somewhere between eighteen and twenty, and ridiculously young to suddenly arrive alone in the middle of nowhere, put up in an old farmhouse by a couple of aging queens.
How in the fuck is this her best option?
Who is she?
And what exactly is her deal?
I grimace because the headlines of her story—the easy parts—start materializing as I think about what I know about her. I didn’t do all that training for nothing. Plus, I have good instincts. I could practically smell it on her—the fear, the desperation, the way she wouldn’t meet me eyes except to insist that she was an adult.
God, what a joke. If she’s an adult, I’m a French poodle.
Then something occurs to me: it was Jock’s boyfriend, Gus, who gave away the most important part of her story away.
She has nowhere else to go.
And then something else occurs to me, and I wonder, Is she in hiding?
This girl—what’s her name? Amber? Audrey?—is in trouble. Big trouble. The kind of trouble that gets other people in hot water when they were just trying to live their lives and mind their own business. And she’s been dumped on my doorstep. Literally.

Beermen celebrate with fans as Grand Slam talks continue
San Miguel Beer’s championship celebration continued on Wednesday night as the winningest PBA franchise held a victory party for its employees and fans at SMC head office in Pasig City. The booze kept flowing three days after the Beermen ended their 17-year title drought in the midseason conference. San Miguel chalked up its fifth championship in eight conferences after knocking off TNT in six games but it didn’t take long before coach Leo Austria gave the Beermen faithfuls what they’ve been clamoring to hear. Since the confetti filled the air at the historic Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, the talk of a possible Grand Slam resurfaced and Austria didn’t shy away from it. “I know that we’ve won two championships this season and I already know what all of you are thinking and dreaming of right now,” Austria said in Filipino as he addressed the thick crowd. “We’re not going to promise anything but we’re going to do our best to achieve our goal,” Austria added. Austria thanked his players with special mention to Best Player of the Conference Chris Ross, Best Import Charles Rhodes and Finals MVP Alex Cabagnot and paid tribute to SMC big boss Ramon S. Ang. The multititled coach, who improved his finals record to 5-0, said he is looking at giving his players at least a 10-day break before going back to practice. The Beermen are set to have another victory party for their fans on Friday at Robinsons Galleria. San Miguel Beermen victory party at the SMC office in Ortigas. New Post has been published on http://pba-live.com/changes-ahead-road-warriors/
Changes ahead for Road Warriors
It was another long night for NLEX.
After being pounded by Phoenix on Wednesday, the Road Warriors spent the next couple of hours in the dugout getting a tongue-lashing from their head coach Yeng Guiao.
“Of course, I’m disappointed. I think that practically eliminates us out of the conference. In a way that’s going to give us some time what to think what happened, what we need to do to improve our team,” Guiao told reporters after NLEX’s 102-91 loss.
“I gave them a long speech after the game and I told them that this was the time to talk to them about some matters that are important because in our next two games we will just try to improve,” Guiao said. “Whether we win or lose, the important thing is we come out as a better team after the game.”
Guiao said the coaching staff is already making an “assessment” of the team based on its last nine games and so far, he sees a lot of holes that need to be filled.
“We’re still lacking [in a lot of things], but I think the first thing is we need to build a team with character with players who are willing to fight it out all the way to the end and sometimes that’s the most difficult thing that you have to look for. A team’s character or the players’ character.”
Guiao also said changes have to be made with NLEX likely to finish at the bottom of the standings in its first conference under the multititled mentor.
“There has to be some changes. As I said, this is a process. It’s also good for us because this will actually reveal what our weaknesses are and what we need to do this early for us to find remedy to whatever the problem is,” he said.
Part of those changes could include shaking up the roster.
“That is possibility. That’s always a possibility especially if you’re struggling and you feel that you need to build up the team. When I say build it up, you build it up internally and you can also build it up through external process so that’s a possibility.”
Guiao, who has a reputation for building championship teams from the ground up, knows what it takes to win having steered three different teams to multiple titles.
“There’s always a learning curve. The struggle will always be there at the start but what I want is to fast-track things and I do not have the luxury of waiting for a long period of time before you build a championship caliber team and that is ultimately the purpose so we want to get there as soon as possible,” said Guiao, who has seven PBA championships across his name.
“There’s a saying ‘there are no shortcuts’ But even if there are no shortcuts, you have to find the shortest route. And before you can really rise up, you have to feel what it really is to be down.”
Guiao said establishing a culture and finding the right players who have the personality that fit in NLEX’s brand of basketball will be crucial to how far the team will go this season.
“I’m trying to see who among the players can perform under pressure with the expectations that are put on their shoulders with me yelling and cursing at them. So if they can perform under those circumstances then they deserve to be retained on the team,” said Guiao.
