Indescribable is the sorrow I felt when I found out there is already a Dracula Musical
I had so many ideas for my own musical interpretation of the novel
One where Dracula sings a really creepy but really catchy song that’s like a fusion of Mother Knows Best (Tangled) and Trust In Me (Jungle Book) to Jonathan upon his arrival
And Mina and Lucy have a colorful rap duet in prose where they’re writing letters to each other
And Jonathan has a leitmotif that represents hope and Dracula one that represents fear and Mina one that represents courage and Lucy one that represents sorrow-
And Dracula’s weed smoking girlfriends sing a ballad in Jonathan’s leitmotif that transforms into Dracula’s just as he arrives and it’s eerie and makes you uncomfortable as it should
I have not listened to the actual Dracula The Musical soundtrack and I don’t intend to, but wouldn’t it be so cool if we could just make a new one?
One that’s book accurate anyway, cause apparently the currently existing musical sets Mina and Dracula up as love interests :/

We’ve talked about Muppet Dracula with Gonzo as Van Helsing, and while that’s still a good idea, we are overlooking another obvious option.
“My name is Bram Stoker!”
“And my name is Rizzo the Rat!”
