Oh, in trying to set up for my return I noticed I never had a pinned post so I am going to make a quick one now.

Hello my name is Lis and this is my Touhou multimuse. This blog is sfw only, however, despite that fact I would prefer to only be followed by those who are 18+. I don't wanna be uninclusive but it's just a comfort thing. Unlike a lot of rp blogs, I think I'm pretty fine with personal blogs following me as long as ya don't reblog my posts and are an adult.

Fluff, angst, or smut: All three, but in order, angst > fluff > smut. Smut is only for in-character purposes, and I LOVE scenarios which uses character abilities for things like that. (Eri's shapeshifting, Alice's puppets, etc)

For this update, we’d like to announce that we have reworded our stance on “Characters from upcoming games”, as well as our spoiler window!

Before, it was that any character from a game that was “Unfinished” would have to wait until the game was finished for you to apply them, but upon further discussion with members, we concluded that this was a bit too much, so, now

You are allowed to apply characters from games that are in “Early Access” (As much as you could if a show’s season isn’t over!), so long as they have a characterization or plot that is set in stone and is unlikely to change! Basically, if the character has enough to work with, you’re good!

Though, if a character is mysterious with a backstory that is largely made up by headcanons or fan interpretation, we ask that you wait until there is much more to work with! (An example of this would be Kris and Ralsei from Deltarune, there’s quite a lot about them that we don’t know...)

And in the case of a character taking a shocking left turn, please look into updating them, or making them canon divergent! <:

And secondly, we would like to revise our stance on “Spoiler characters”, essentially, from now on, a month wait is enough for most characters that are considered spoilers (Minor to Moderate), after a month has passed since a game’s release or a spoiler episode, you should be good...

Unless they are considered a “Walking Spoiler”, a massive spoiler of a character that can change the flow of a story and who’s mere existence is a spoiler in itself. For that, you’ll likely be waiting 2 months or more, and the mod team will review if it’s ok for that character to be played, given how they may spoil something for people joining!

Over all, it’s much more of a case-by-case basis now, we may even shorten the wait time to apply characters from a new IP to two weeks! But, for now, we hope this results in many new and interesting characters joining us!

For other updates, we’re hoping to have posts up about some of the changes we’ve made to Elsternwick, including the Job System (Pretty simple!), an update to our wording on the ban list, and a few other fun surprises, and we hope you’ll look forward to reading about them!

Muses involved in (some form or another) the Afterlife Beuroacracy, and interferes heavily (directly or indirectly) with the flow of human souls:

Parsee Mizuhashi A Hashihime, the spirit of a noblewoman who was removed from the cycle of reincarnation, as part of the consequence for becoming a malevolent entity and attempting to murder her cheating husband. Now works for the afterlife beurocracy by guarding the bridge between life and death - guarding the route to one of the hells, both as one of the punished and as a guard keeping the other sinful souls in line, until ‘her husband comes back to her’. which is uh... never. she’s stuck as one of the afterlife’s guard dogs for eternity.

Satori Komeiji The person placed in charge of the defunct Hell of Blazing Fire. Aka: one of the many sub-layers of hell, this one specifically one of the burning Hells. It was shut down due to lack of funds to keep it running, and is in major disrepair as far as being a place meant to torment the souls of sinners. Which is just fine, the souls that are left behind are the ones that are inclined to linger anyways. How official it is that she’s the person in charge is dubious, but ever since she’s moved in and adopted some of the various native animals that live and work in the inferno, it’s kind of been placed in her lap. The souls of the dead that live in her hell - and all the other creatures that live there, too - avoid her like the plague ‘cause her mind reading ability creeps them out. Which is a win-win in a sense? She just wants to be left alone, and the risk of a vengeful spirit uprising is low when they don’t want to go anywhere near her.

The fucking sentient and disembodied arm of Ibaraki Douji. Literally all of Ibaraki’s malice and baser oni instincts, the ones that make her want to hunt and harm humans, or be an enemy of humanity. It’s the youkai part of Kasen that was separated from her by the guy who cut off the arm. It had been living somewhere in Hell until it encountered the rest of it’s body and lost the fight to take it over it’s other self. It’s now stuck in a box under the watch of the said other self, but since it lived in hell and still acted like a proper oni with no love of humans, it was likely living the same life that other oni do who live in hell, and had the time of it’s life tormenting the humans it came across. And by george if it ever gets out of this box, it’s going to go right back to living the best of it’s oni life and terrorizing the crap out of humans (or their souls), mark it’s words!

Lailah The prince of night and prince of conception! Prince being a relative term, given that angels are technically genderless entities, and this one is outright considered feminine. But this angel is in charge of overseeing the safe development of new souls, and ingraining them with the instinctive knowledge of right from wrong. Most of her work comes before birth, but she also moonlights (hah) as reaper, seeing the souls she taught safely back to where they came. Given that she’s one of the angels with a Prince title, she’s a pretty high-ranking angel in heaven’s hierarchy. Not one of the head honchos, or one of the super powerful ‘no higher status’ ones. But she reports directly to Gabriel and has tasks directly involving the fruit from the Tree of Souls, and has the rank and file to boss other angels around if necessary. It’s safe to assume she’s the head angel of the department involving human soul.

Satsuki Myouriko A little zashiki-warashi. The soul of a deceased human child, she’s not ready to move on and actively resists the attempts of any who try to make her do so. But she doesn’t shy away from the concept of death as a whole - infact, t she often hangs around the homes of the elderly until it’s their time to go.

Its another day, there's still news going on about the raven zone and the more terrifying terrorists attacks. Satori Komeiji sat there on her desk reading newspapers while smoking. Her younger sister still around her sat there on the chair playing with a rock with goofy eyes glued onto it and a doll handcrafted by her sister as Koishi is undergoing to another one of her fantasies due to her disorder that she suffers from the accident and the older sister stopped reading asking her what she wants for christmas.

whats up its alia and im here to introduce to you yet another character that only i really know,, its koishi. im playing koishi.

- koishi is from a place called gensokyo! a sort of safe-haven for japanese supernatural myths called youkai to make their homes in should the modern world prove to endanger their existence.

- koishi lives underground in a place called old hell. its literally where hell used to be until the council of judges of the dead decided it would be a better idea to just move hell to a place people cant physically escape, and it became home to the more ‘unwanted’ youkai in gensokyo.

- the girl is a satori, a third-eyed being that could use their third eye to read into the hearts of others. this frightens the neighboring populace, youkai and humans alike, and she and her sister are shunned into the underground. her sister whose also not only a satori, but is also named satori, is kinda fine with this. koishi isnt.

- koishi doesnt see anything good in peoples hearts, finding it a more useless ability to have, and unwilling to be hated, she casts away her third eye ability, closing it pernamently. in doing so, she closes away her own mind, leaving her entire thinking process to her unconscious.

- koishi is fine with being mindless, considering she... kind of cant mind it. this aspect goes further to the point that as it stands, koishi cannot be remembered.. as she didn't want to be hated, now neither can she be loved.  once a muse looks away from her, they will forget she ever existed until she comes back into their line of vision. theres a large explanation behind how this works but ill im it to anyone who actually wants to read it.

- due to this, koishi can only really be remembered by people who can overpower her magic forgetful juju, people who literally do not have a subconscious and can remember anything, and little children. she’s considered an imaginary friend because of the latter.

(( Hmm...I really like Satori -- but she’s one of those characters that I like, but never actually felt the pull to play. Kind of like Aya, Patchouli, and Iku. So I’d have to give her a pass.

Rin is a cute girl, but I’ve only read one volume of Yuru Camp, and have only been camping once. If I watched the anime, sure, though...Maybe she’s a little mismatched among every other supernatural/magic-world related muse.

I can’t write Kobayashi, I AM Kobayashi. would totally do it though.

Ryoko somewhat depends on whether we’re talking her 4 minute appearance in the OG TMOHS or her incarnation in Nagato Yuki-chan. Though the former is interesting, there’s a lot more to work with for the latter. I’d have to give Yuki-chan another read (and proper completion) before I thought about her, though.

Chihaya is literally Umi nice enough, probably would fall into the category of girls I’d like. Wouldn’t be surprised if she was on my potential list if I ever started watching Idolmaster. Asami Imai seems like a bonus.

...Looking Kaoru up reminds me that I should probably finish Rurouni Kenshin sometime, seems like it got some kind of reboot/recent adaptation too. In any case, ponytail check, sword check, blue/purple check, hardworking and serious but also headstrong check, sounds good to me. A character I’d probably definitely like, though writing’d probably be another matter.))

The inevitable. Here we have Komeiji Bird.

I went back and forth on this one for a while, but given that Satori is a Satori named Satori and Okuu has a void within her brain, I thought it'd be funny if they just named their child Bird. Crow and Raven were also on the table but I've known people named Crow and I felt like it loses a bit of the humor if it's something that can actually be taken as a name.

Bird is the daughter of the happily married Satori and Utsuho Komeiji. Being a Satori-Hell Raven hybrid. Now, this means that she is a half bird and half monkee. Which is a horrid combination if you really think about it.

As with a lot of Satori's fan kids, I do envision her as having a third eye. Though this one is different. While connected on vein-cords just as all Satori third eyes are, it does not have their standard shape. Instead resembling the eye of Yatagarasu on Okuu's chest. This may sound cute but it is really a portent of bad times to come.

For, you see, Okuu absorbed Yatagarasu, which means a part of his essence has just been floating around inside of her. Only for Okuu's body to create an empty vessel for part of that essence to flow into. Bird has had Yatagarasu within her since birth and it has had an impact on her personality and development.

That's not to say that Bird just is Yatagarasu. But rather that, since birth, she has had thoughts and memories that are not her own. Memories of a strong bond with Emperor Jimmu. A figure who was long dead by the time Bird was even born. Yet she misses him nonetheless and has an intricate understanding of Japan's history as a nation.

She, thankfully, has a bit more intelligence than Okuu does. In fact, she takes after Satori a bit in having an interest in mystery and investigation. It just so happens that, unlike Satori, Bird has no responsibilities in regards to managing the Underground. Leaving her free to roam and play detective as she wishes ... as well as seek out more that ties her to Yatagarasu but her parents don't need to know about that.

I've been a bit stumped as far as abilities go, so I eventually decided to look elsewhere. Yatagarasu, in some myth and folklore, is the attendant of the Storm God Susanoo-No-Mikoto. For that reason I thought, what if Bird has the ability to manipulate wind currents to produce powerful gales. And so that is the ability I'm going with.

I went with heterochromia on it as a way to fit in the Eye of yatagarasu thing.

Now the issue, of course, is that by starting with a custom design rather than with a good working face claim. I've now made it much harder to find a faceclaim that fits with the presented design. Personally though I'm favoring Bortz from HNK

I find their sharp features to be charming and their sharp dressing to work well for someone whose the daughter of both the Underground's ruler and the person in charge of their nuclear furnace. Also, like, if you look at Okuu's sprite ... her hair hides it but based on where her face stops in comparison to her head size, she's got a lot of forehead space for Bird to inherit.

Elsternwick Updates + Requests! (05-12-22)

Greetings, and good evening! We hope you are having a lovely May! Quite a few things are going on in Elsternwick right now, a Theater has been built, a reality wave has hit, and quite a few other thngs as well, but first, we would like to summarize some recent requests!

Requests

In Elsternwick, you are more than allowed to make requests for castmates, or more characters from a franchise that you feel could have some more representation, normally, we have a limit to these (Given our Anti-Flood rules!), and cap them at around 5 every 2-3 months, unsurprisingly, the requests for new characters were filled extremely quickly this time, so, for ease of access, we're making a post summarizing the requests, as well as who requested them!

Reality Wave

Secondly, another Reality Wave has hit Elsternwick! For those of you who are new or unfamiliar, a Reality Wave is a phenomena that is common close to multiversal nexuses, sometimes, there is a pulse in the energy of the multiverse, which washes over any nearby nexuses, and spills out into the neighboring reality, causing changes all around!

This was by and large, the biggest Reality Wave yet, resulting in three “pulses”, each bringing about changes

The first was a standard reality wave, making the grass greener, the second was a time related reality wave, causing some muses to be aged forward or backwards, and the last was a powerful reality wave that caused reversals, turning some heroes into villains, villains into heroes, stone into wood, etc!

And most bizarrely, the Time Reality Wave caused the Theater (long in construction) to finally be finished!

The Theater

The Theater, Elsternwick’s answer to Midnight Prism Studios, is a massive theater with seats, a number of stages, and balconies, here your muse can witness (or participate in!) plays, musicals, operas, or simple symphonies and concerts, beware, for Theater Kids such as Emet-Selch , Ushiwaka, and Grimm are sure to prowl the halls, and they are more powerful there...

Upcoming  Attractions

Finally, we would like to reiterate on coming events! We have quite a few in the pipeline, including the oft-mentioned Expedition, which will take place in the Summer, and will have your muses go to a distant land ravaged by light

Secondly, a number of Memory Dungeons (Formed from Muse’s memories) are in development, or coming up, including a Record of Hope and Despair (Inspired by PMMM), The Final Days of Amaurot (Inspired by FFXIV), and a few others!

Lastly, we are looking forward to our upcoming Events!

Come Summer, a strange event will happen, causing evil forces and monsters to arrive in greater numbers than before, who will rise to meet them? None other than the many people of Elsternwick, gifted strange new powers to combat them!

This event, though WIP, is inspired by stories of transforming heroes, super heroes, magical girls, etc, it has some work to be done, but interest has shown that this will be quite a good one, and we hope you look forward to it!

And in addition, there will of course be summer themed events, attractions, and things to do!
