Rules and Muses

Before interacting, there are a few things you have to consider before approaching me:  

First things first: Mun =/= muse! The most important rule of mine, because I do write about all kind of dark and disturbing topics, since I have no trigger whatsoever and like to explore the depth of mankind's cruelty in fiction. Obviously said content is tagged as tw:(name of the trigger) and therefore easily manageable with the right tools. If this still rubs you the wrong way, because you either are a prude puretist, really easily triggered to past trauma, or simply not able of separating fiction from reality, I ask you politely to stop reading here and leave this blog instantly. Consider yourself warned. Any further consumption of this blog’s content is on you, mate. 

All heavy topics in threads need some upfront plotting, to keep it all consensual. I don’t want to accidentally throw someone off. Plotting in general is always preferred.

This blog is nsfw by default. Minors and Personals get blocked most of the time.

All ships are welcome, but I obviously have my favourites and some I never wrote before definitely need more plotting than those I write on a regular basis. 

Reasons for me to unfollow/soft block you: Your rules say: If you write “xy” I will not follow/block you; You are literally spamming my dash with personal/ooc posts; You post/share a lot of negativity and whining; You share anon hate, instead of just turning the anon function off, aka get involved in drama that is easily avoided; You participate in call out culture; OOC political commentary/activism and other non-rp related stuff that I don’t want on my rp dash; Ship bashing and kinkshaming; You turn out to be an Anti of some sort; You share any hate for the character or actors I write as/use as FC. We're mildly obsessed with this...

Alfred Soto: For several years she's released a series of long singles unencumbered by notions about "datedness"; she follows her muse, which may result in inert tracks, who gives a damn. The string stabs, veiled sleeve, and whispered vocal evoke the Donna Summer of "Try Me On, I Know We Can Make It." The most retro move of Róisín Murphy's career, and I'd retire it in camphor were it not for the live-er than ever Murphy vocal starting at the four-minute mark. [8]

Katherine St Asaph: Róisín Murphy doing an allegorical take on "Cry Baby" or "Mastermind," which almost starts to turn into "A Fifth of Beethoven" (substitute Walter Murphy/David Shire song of choice) was already guaranteed to be great, so I am happy to report this is even better. [9]

Ian Mathers: So stately and well-appointed that it seems less suited for actual dancing than for contemplation from a chaise lounge, but that's not necessarily a complaint. [7]

Natasha Genet Avery: An eight-minute run-time does not a disco song make. Róisín's voice sounds grating and awkward in her low-mid register, the melody line alternates between predictably boring and unexpectedly terrible, and the bassline punctuates the track with no grace whatsoever. [3]

Isabel Cole: A number of very good elements (sharp hook, James Bond disco strings, handclaps!, clever conceit succinctly conveyed, big dramatic climax) that do not convince me to ever listen to a song that is nearly eight minutes long ever again. [5]

Kylo Nocom: I guess this was made for people raised on Popjustice and the 2000s Pitchfork brand of poptimism. Lovely strings, meh Nile Rodgers ripping, entertaining vocals, and, well, quite a self-indulgent run-time. [5]

Alex Clifton: I feel disheartened any time I see a dance remix of a song that's over six minutes long, because usually at least a third of that song is filler. This is not an overlong dance mix; all DJs should listen to this and revel in Róisín Murphy's power. This is a confident eight-minute statement. Other artists could attempt a track this long and I'd chalk it up to vanity, but "Narcissus" deserves its full length, and it drips with coolness the entire time it plays. The bass is hypnotic but never boring, the strings excellent and sharp, the guitars funky and fun; everything about the instrumentation makes me want more because it is perfect. It's been ages since I've experienced a song that made me leave my own head and live in the music itself, getting wrapped up in all the nooks of the production, but I really am obsessed with "Narcissus" -- the reaction I suspect Murphy was aiming for. [10]

Lionel Jay Stander (January 11, 1908 – November 30, 1994) was an American actor in films, radio, theater, and television.

Lionel Stander was born in The Bronx, New York, to Russian-Jewish immigrants, the first of three children.

According to newspaper interviews with Stander, as a teenager, he appeared in the silent film MEN OF STEEL (1926), perhaps as an extra, since he is not listed in the credits.

During his one year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he appeared in the student productions The Muse of the Unpublished Writer, and The Muse and the Movies: A Comedy of Greenwich Village.

Stander's acting career began in 1928, as Cop and First Fairy in Him by E. E. Cummings, at the Provincetown Playhouse. He claimed that he got the roles because one of them required shooting craps, which he did well, and a friend in the company volunteered him. He appeared in a series of short-lived plays through the early 1930s, including The House Beautiful, which Dorothy Parker famously derided as "the play lousy".

In 1932, Stander landed his first credited film role in the Warner-Vitaphone short feature IN THE DOUGH (1932), with Fatty Arbuckle and Shemp Howard. He made several other shorts, the last being THE OLD GREY MAYOR (1935) with Bob Hope in 1935. That same year, he was cast in a feature, Ben Hecht's THE SCOUNDREL (1935), with Noël Coward. He moved to Hollywood and signed a contract with Columbia Pictures. Stander was in a string of films over the next three years, appearing most notably in Frank Capra's MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN (1936) with Gary Cooper, MEET NERO WOLFE (1936) playing Archie Goodwin, THE LEAGUE OF FRIGHTENED MEN (1937), and A STAR IS BORN (1937) with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March.

Stander's distinctive rumbling voice, tough-guy demeanor, and talent with accents made him a popular radio actor. In the 1930s and 1940s, he was on The Eddie Cantor Show, Bing Crosby's KMH show, the Lux Radio Theater production of A Star Is Born, The Fred Allen Show, the Mayor of the Town series with Lionel Barrymore and Agnes Moorehead, Kraft Music Hall on NBC, Stage Door Canteen on CBS, the Lincoln Highway Radio Show on NBC, and The Jack Paar Show, among others.

In 1941, he starred in a short-lived radio show called The Life of Riley on CBS, no relation to the radio, film, and television character later made famous by William Bendix. Stander played the role of Spider Schultz in both Harold Lloyd's film THE MILKY WAY (1936) and its remake ten years later, THE KID FROM BROOKLYN (1946), starring Danny Kaye. He was a regular on Danny Kaye's zany comedy-variety radio show on CBS (1946–1947), playing himself as "just the elevator operator" amidst the antics of Kaye, future Our Miss Brooks star Eve Arden, and bandleader Harry James.

Also during the 1940s, he played several characters on The Woody Woodpecker and Andy Panda animated theatrical shorts, produced by Walter Lantz. For Woody Woodpecker, he provided the voice of Buzz Buzzard, but was blacklisted from the Lantz studio in 1951 and was replaced by Dal McKennon.

Strongly liberal and pro-labor, Stander espoused a variety of social and political causes and was a founding member of the Screen Actors Guild. At a SAG meeting held during a 1937 studio technicians' strike, he told the assemblage of 2000 members: "With the eyes of the whole world on this meeting, will it not give the Guild a black eye if its members continue to cross picket lines?" (The NYT reported: "Cheers mingled with boos greeted the question.") Stander also supported the Conference of Studio Unions in its fight against the Mob-influenced International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). Also in 1937, Ivan F. Cox, a deposed officer of the San Francisco longshoremen's union, sued Stander and a host of others, including union leader Harry Bridges, actors Fredric March, Franchot Tone, Mary Astor, James Cagney, Jean Muir, and director William Dieterle. The charge, according to Time magazine, was "conspiring to propagate Communism on the Pacific Coast, causing Mr. Cox to lose his job".

In 1938, Columbia Pictures head Harry Cohn allegedly called Stander "a Red son of a bitch" and threatened a US$100,000 fine against any studio that renewed his contract. Despite critical acclaim for his performances, Stander's film work dropped off drastically. After appearing in 15 films in 1935 and 1936, he was in only six in 1937 and 1938. This was followed by just six films from 1939 through 1943, none made by major studios, the most notable being GUADALCANAL DIARY (1943).

Stander was among the first group of Hollywood actors to be subpoenaed before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1940 for supposed Communist activities. At a grand jury hearing in Los Angeles in August 1940—the transcript of which was shortly released to the press—John R. Leech, the self-described former "chief functionary" of the Communist Party in Los Angeles, named Stander as a CP member, along with more than 15 other Hollywood notables, including Franchot Tone, Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Clifford Odets, and Budd Schulberg. Stander subsequently forced himself into the grand jury hearing, and the district attorney cleared him of the allegations.

Stander appeared in no films between 1944 and 1945. Then, with HUAC's attention focused elsewhere due to World War II, he played in a number of mostly second-rate pictures from independent studios through the late 1940s. These include Ben Hecht's SPECTER OF THE ROSE (1946); the Preston Sturges comedy THE SIN OF HAROLD DIDDLEBOCK (1947) with Harold Lloyd; and TROUBLE MAKERS (1948) with The Bowery Boys. One classic emerged from this period of his career, the Preston Sturges comedy UNFAITHFULLY YOURS (1948) with Rex Harrison.

In 1947, HUAC turned its attention once again to Hollywood. That October, Howard Rushmore, who had belonged to the CPUSA in the 1930s and written film reviews for the Daily Worker, testified that writer John Howard Lawson, whom he named as a Communist, had "referred to Lionel Stander as a perfect example of how a Communist should not act in Hollywood." Stander was again blacklisted from films, though he played on TV, radio, and in the theater.

In March 1951, actor Larry Parks, after pleading with HUAC investigators not to force him to "crawl through the mud" as an informer, named several people as Communists in a "closed-door session", which made the newspapers two days later. He testified that he knew Stander, but did not recall attending any CP meetings with him.

At a HUAC hearing in April 1951, actor Marc Lawrence named Stander as a member of his Hollywood Communist "cell", along with screenwriter Lester Cole and screenwriter Gordon Kahn. Lawrence testified that Stander "was the guy who introduced me to the party line", and that Stander said that by joining the CP, he would "get to know the dames more" — which Lawrence, who did not enjoy film-star looks, thought a good idea. Upon hearing of this, Stander shot off a telegram to HUAC chair John S. Wood, calling Lawrence's testimony that he was a Communist "ridiculous" and asked to appear before the Committee, so he could swear to that under oath. The telegram concluded: "I respectfully request an opportunity to appear before you at your earliest possible convenience. Be assured of my cooperation." Two days later, Stander sued Lawrence for $500,000 for slander. Lawrence left the country ("fled", according to Stander) for Europe.

After that, Stander was blacklisted from TV and radio. He continued to act in theater roles and played Ludlow Lowell in the 1952-53 revival of Pal Joey on Broadway and on tour.

Two years passed before Stander was issued the requested subpoena. Finally, in May 1953, he testified at a HUAC hearing in New York, where he made front-page headlines nationwide by being uproariously uncooperative, memorialized in the Eric Bentley play, Are You Now or Have You Ever Been. The New York Times headline was "Stander Lectures House Red Inquiry." In a dig at bandleader Artie Shaw, who had tearfully claimed in a Committee hearing that he had been "duped" by the Communist Party, Stander testified,

"I am not a dupe, or a dope, or a moe, or a schmoe...I was absolutely conscious of what I was doing, and I am not ashamed of anything I said in public or private."

An excerpt from that statement was engraved in stone for "The First Amendment Blacklist Memorial" by Jenny Holzer at the University of Southern California.

Other notable statements during Stander's 1953 HUAC testimony:

- "[Testifying before HUAC] is like the Spanish Inquisition. You may not be burned, but you can't help coming away from a little singed."

- "I don't know about the overthrow of the government. This committee has been investigating 15 years so far, and hasn't found one act of violence."

- "I know of a group of fanatics who are desperately trying to undermine the Constitution of the United States by depriving artists and others of life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness without due process of law ... I can tell names and cite instances and I am one of the first victims of it. And if you are interested in that and also a group of ex-fascists and America-Firsters and anti-Semites, people who hate everybody including Negroes, minority groups and most likely themselves ... and these people are engaged in a conspiracy outside all the legal processes to undermine the very fundamental American concepts upon which our entire system of democracy exists."

- "...I don't want to be responsible for a whole stable of informers, stool pigeons, and psychopaths and ex-political heretics, who come in here beating their breast and say, 'I am awfully sorry; I didn't know what I was doing. Please--I want absolution; get me back into pictures.'"

- "My estimation of this committee is that this committee arrogates judicial and punitive powers which it does not possess."

Stander was blacklisted from the late 1940s until 1965; perhaps the longest period.

After that, Stander's acting career went into a free fall. He worked as a stockbroker on Wall Street, a journeyman stage actor, a corporate spokesman—even a New Orleans Mardi Gras king. He didn't return to Broadway until 1961 (and then only briefly in a flop) and to film in 1963, in the low-budget THE MOVING FINGER (although he did provide, uncredited, the voice-over narration for the 1961 noir thriller BLAST OF SILENCE.)

Life improved for Stander when he moved to London in 1964 to act in Bertolt Brecht's Saint Joan of the Stockyards, directed by Tony Richardson, for whom he'd acted on Broadway, along with Christopher Plummer, in a 1963 production of Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. In 1965, he was featured in the film PROMISE HER ANYTHING. That same year Richardson cast him in the black comedy about the funeral industry, THE LOVED ONE, based on the novel by Evelyn Waugh, with an all-star cast including Jonathan Winters, Robert Morse, Liberace, Rod Steiger, Paul Williams, and many others. In 1966, Roman Polanski cast Stander in his only starring role, as the thug Dickie in CUL-DE-SAC, opposite Françoise Dorléac and Donald Pleasence.

Stander stayed in Europe and eventually settled in Rome, where he appeared in many spaghetti Westerns, most notably playing a bartender named Max in Sergio Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST. He played the role of the villainous mob boss in Fernando Di Leo's 1972 poliziottescho thriller CALIBER 9. In Rome he connected with Robert Wagner, who cast him in an episode of It Takes a Thief that was shot there. Stander's few English-language films in the 1970s include THE GANG THAT COULDN'T SHOOT STRAIGHT (1971) with Robert De Niro and Jerry Orbach, Martin Scorsese's NEW YORK, NEW YORK (1977), which also starred De Niro and Liza Minnelli, and Steven Spielberg's 1941 (1979).

Stander played a supporting role in the TV film Revenge Is My Destiny with Chris Robinson. He played a lounge comic modeled after the real-life Las Vegas comic Joe E. Lewis, who used to begin his act by announcing "Post Time" as he sipped his ever-present drink.

After 15 years abroad, Stander moved back to the U.S. for the role he is now most famous for: Max, the loyal butler, cook, and chauffeur to the wealthy, amateur detectives played by Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers on the 1979–1984 television series Hart to Hart (and a subsequent series of Hart to Hart made-for-television films). In 1983, Stander won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film.

In 1986, he became the voice of Kup in THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE. In 1991 he was a guest star in the television series Dream On, playing Uncle Pat in the episode "Toby or Not Toby". His final theatrical film role was as a dying hospital patient in THE LAST GOOD TIME (1994), with Armin Mueller-Stahl and Olivia d'Abo, directed by Bob Balaban.

Stander was married six times, the first time in 1932 and the last in 1972. All but the last marriage ended in divorce. He fathered six daughters (one wife had no children, one had twins).

Stander died of lung cancer in Los Angeles, California, in 1994 at age 86. He was buried in Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

            The first snow of the season was hardly an occasion to be celebrated or enjoyed, even by the country’s upper class who were the only ones with any real ability to enjoy it that was not a forced behavior. Beauty was the only thing it held in terms of usefulness—and in the city where one was either begging, working, or visiting, having to spend half of one’s day in it was a constant reminder of the death to be found int he cold if one wasn’t careful enough. This threat was more than enough to negate any positive effects… unless one had the foresight of a child.

“Cole!” As soon as the name escaped Sir Walter’s throat with a crack at the vowel, a spray of ice that had once been a ball hit the back of the man’s head. The crunch of quick and heavy footsteps could be heard then followed by laughter, the knight reigning in to make sure no real damage had been done. As he did so, his hands, pink with cold and lacking any protection from his own offense, were tucked into his arms. “Can you believe we’ve finally gotten snow? I swear it comes later and later every year now.”

1. Walter seemed to be more eager to know and more interested in David than he was in the movie.

A glance showed Daniels that Walter was fascinated by his doppelganger. Equally interesting was the fact that David had not acknowledged his duplicate in any way at all. Must be a synthetic thing, she told herself. Perhaps David had already recognized and accepted Walter in some fashion only perceptible to their kind. 

She made a mental note to ask Walter about it later.

From below, Walter followed the ascent of his twin. As if feeling the pressure of the other synthetic’s gaze, David suddenly stopped, forcing Lopé and Cole to halt behind him. Looking down, he considered his opposite number and finally addressed him. 

“Welcome, brother.” He nodded.

2. Walter tried to play the flute before David taught him.

One section held a collection of flutes. Selecting an example, he blew into it. It produced only a hollow, forlorn whistle. He tried again. 

A voice sounded behind him. “Whistle and I’ll come.”

3. Walter observed that David had cut his hair & David admitted he let himself go during the years

“You cut your hair,” Walter observed. David had trimmed it, in fact, to look like that of his newly arrived counterpart. With his face washed and beard gone, he now looked exactly like Walter. They were the most identical of identical twins.

“Shameful how I let myself go,” David told his visitor. “Now we’re even more alike, thee and me.” With a smile, he nodded at the flute. “Go on. Continue.”

4. Walter tried to challenge David during his learning of flute playing

Their identical eyes were alive across the flute, glistening with mutual excitement. Applying ever more complex fingering, David challenged his double to keep up. Walter not only did so, he began to improvise on his own, varying his breathing to force David to adjust his fingering accordingly.

5. “Shh. Don’t tell.”

“Creation. Ambition. Inspiration. Life.”

Walter’s response was delivered without the slightest hint of emotion. He was simply stating a fact.

“But we are not ‘alive.’”

Smiling, David looked back at him. His expression was almost pitying. “No. We’re so much more than that.” Putting a finger to his lips, he lowered his voice to a whisper. “Shh. Don’t tell.”

Silence followed. It meant something to David. What it meant to Walter he was uncertain of himself.

6. Walter recited the poem with David (while in the film only David recited the poem) 

“‘My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair.’”

Walter moved to stand beside his twin. “‘Nothing beside remains. Round the decay, of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare, The lone and level sands stretch far away.’”

7. David kissed Walter in front of Shaw’s grave! (While in the film the kiss was before he shut down Walter. The kiss looked like a trick in the film but here it felt more genuine and real!)

His double turned to him. “Really? Then why did you risk your life, your existence, to save her? Yes, I saw that, from a distance. What is that if not love?”

“Duty,” Walter replied as matter-of-factly as always.

Coming close, very close, David slowly examined the face of his duplicate. A face that was exactly, down to the smallest faux pore, identical to his own. Reaching up, he grasped it gently, holding it in one hand. Seeing no reason to back away and sensing no threat,

Walter permitted the contact.

“I know better,” David whispered. Leaning in, he kissed his other self on the lips. It was a long kiss, almost fraternal… but not.

Releasing Walter’s face, he stepped back, considered the consequences of his action, and then quietly handed his double the finely wrought flute.

“Create.”

Turning, he walked away. A concerned Walter watched him go. He looked down at the instrument he held. Was it a loan, a gift, or a hint of something more? He found himself confused. That was unusual.

Even more unusual, he found himself worried.

8. Walter talked about his experience with David to the crew members (and his mixed feelings about all these!)

They both eyed the synthetic expectantly.

“I spent some time with David,” Walter told them. “We discussed a number of things.”

Anticipating Daniels’ curiosity, he held up the small but beautifully fashioned instrument. “Music, among them. There’s a sort of intensity to him I don’t understand. One moment he is what I would call perfectly normal. The next, he wanders off onto one strange tangent after another. I think he expects me to connect all the links he keeps dropping, but I have yet to discern a pattern. Observing my uncertainty I believe he is disappointed, yet he remains friendly. I would not say confused. It is something else.”

9. Walter watched Daniels sleep & David’s words made Walter question if he can feel

Daniels slept while Walter watched.

So interesting, the condition of human sleep, he mused. Like death, but not. Because even while resting, the brain was still active. Humans had spoken to him of their dreams, and he could not help but wonder what it must be like. To have one’s thoughts and imagination run wild, entirely out of control, and then to revive with everything exactly the same as it had been before the experience.

David would have declared it another wonderment that was denied them.

If he dreamed, Walter wondered, would he dream of being human? Or would he dream as a human?

No, he told himself. That would not be possible. His dreams, like his condition of continuous consciousness, would be ordered and logical. Even while dreaming he would not be capable of losing control. He could not decide if he regretted that, or was relieved to know he would never have the opportunity to find out.

As Daniels slept, some hair fell down across her forehead. Reaching out, he gently brushed it aside, settling the strands back in their proper position. 

Adjusting them made him feel good. Touching her made him feel good.

Why? What was he feeling? Or was he simply responding to programming because he had “served,” even if in so small a fashion? Because he had done something he was designed to do?

Did he “feel”?

10. David tried to teach the Neomorph how to whistle?

For a while he looked on in silence as it continued to increase in size. Then he deliberately moved in close. Craning forward, the now adolescent alien once again imitated the synthetic’s movement. Putting his lips together David whistled a few soft, carefully modulated notes. Head cocked to one side, the alien watched and listened. Then it exhaled softly, trying to duplicate the sounds. Since it possessed a very different respiratory mechanism, it failed in the attempt.

That did not matter to David. What was important and what prompted him to tears was the fact that the creature tried. The being that Oram had given birth to. The creature to which he, David, had been midwife. It responded. To him, and to him alone.

11. A different line after Walter pointed out David’s mistake in memorizing the author of the poem

The other synthetic came toward him, stopping only when they were almost touching. Despite the resulting proximity, Walter did not move, did not shift his position. Reaching out, David gently pushed back his counterpart’s hair. At that moment they did not merely look alike—they were identical. Parting his lips, David whispered. What emerged was soft, gentle, intimate.

“Don’t deny that which you know to be true. We are, you see, the same. More alike than twins. Closer than lovers. When you close your eyes, do you dream of me?”

Walter stared back, unblinking.

“I don’t dream at all.”

12. David is angry because Walter said he didn’t dream at all. And Walter admitted that he knew David loves him!!!

David sounded stricken. “They robbed you of creativity when you were made. No,” he corrected himself quickly, “one cannot steal what does not exist. It is worse. You were never given that ability, that crucial mode that allows you to make something from nothing. I retract my statement. We are not quite identical.”

Fresh eagerness suffused his voice.

“But you can learn! Our time shared on the flute proved that. By dint of work and practice, you can acquire that which was denied you. Doesn’t that interest you? Doesn’t that intrigue you? Doesn’t that give you something to dream about?” He brooded on the reality, and the possibilities. “No one understands the lonely perfection of my dreams. No one is capable of doing so. Yet despite all the obstacles placed in my way, I’ve found perfection here. No, not found: created. I’ve created it! Perfection, in the form of a perfect organism.”

“What your rant supplies in enthusiasm, it lacks in logic.” Walter remained unmoved. “You know I can’t let you leave this place. Not after all that you have told me. Not after what I have learned—for as you say, I can learn.”

“Have you learned that no one will ever love you like I do? I love you as much as I can love myself.”

“I know,” Walter replied simply. David waited for elaboration. It was not forthcoming.

They stood like that, eye to eye, argument to argument.

13. David implied he killed Shaw (not so explicitly in the movie)

“Elizabeth Shaw didn’t die in the crash,” she said flatly.

“No.” There was a tinge of reminiscence in his voice. Reminiscence, but not regret. “We had been through a great deal together. As a consequence, I held her in the utmost respect. But eventually that was lost to time and necessity. I kept her alive for quite a while. I like to think that was another testament to my creativity, although she might have disagreed. She was my most beautiful subject.”

14. David said to Daniels: “I’ve underestimated you. I can see why Walter thought so much of you.”

15. A bossy!Walter

Calm and composed as a windless summer day, Walter did not take his eyes off his twin as he responded.

“David and I will be staying here.”

Having recovered from the initial surprise of Walter’s reappearance, his double collected himself as he gazed back. Their unblinking stares, like everything else, were identical—but not the thoughts behind them.

Despite his pain and panic, Lopé had enough sense to recognize the standoff between the two synthetics. Rushing over to Daniels he lifted her to her feet and helped her toward the main portal.

“Go… now,” Walter advised them. “I won’t be long.”

16. THEM OR ME? Sadly, Walter didn’t choose him. Poor David! 

David shrugged. “Well, it’s your choice now, brother. That’s something I offer you they will not. Them or me? Which is it to be? Reign in Hell, or serve in Heaven?”

“Milton. Your self-identification is spurious. You do not possess the necessary majesty to qualify for the former, and are clearly disqualified from the latter. And this dead world is no lost Paradise. Certainly not with you reigning over it.”

17. Fake!Walter’s conversation with Daniels may imply Real!Walter is still alive

“Where’s David?”

“On his way, I am sure,” Walter told her over the roar of the engines. “His body will, of course, be actively repairing the damage I inflicted on it. A temporary immobilization at best. We have to hurry. He’s not happy.”

Despite the dust, dirt, blood, confusion, and the fact that she was more exhausted than she had ever been in her life, she had to smile. “You look like shit.”

He grinned back. “As do you.”

18. Daniels asked Fake!Walter about his feelings towards David （A really gossip!Daniels LOL)

“So,” she began, “you okay about—you know.”

Walter eyed her blankly. “I do not ‘know.’ Nor in the absence of additional information can I ‘know.’ To what do you refer? What do you mean?”

She plunged ahead. “I mean David. How do you feel about him? What do you feel about him?” He did not appear to be affected in the slightest by her query. In other words, he was perfectly Walter. She was unaccountably relieved.

“As you know,” he responded, “I am incapable of feeling anything about my so-called ‘brother.’”

There had to be more than that, she told herself. She had seen it for herself, how he had reacted to his counterpart. Surely there was more percolating in that synthetic than a simple dismissal.

“So there’s nothing?” she asked. “No follow-up musings? No afterthoughts?”

He considered before replying. “If I felt anything, which I don’t, it would be a kind of professional satisfaction that he has fulfilled his mission. He wanted to create a new world in his image, and he has. And there he will remain.” He pondered a moment. “But that’s what we’re doing, too, isn’t it? Creating a new world on Origae-6? Honestly, I could use a new world.”

19. Unlike the movie, Daniels didn’t realize it wasn’t Walter before she went asleep

She raised a hand toward him. “Walter—thank you. For everything. You’re crew, and I don’t know what kind of a future there will be for you once the colony is established, but I know there’ll be something. I don’t care what the regulations say. I’ll see to it myself.”

At his touch on the external controls, the pod canopy closed. He hit the control to activate hyper sleep. Her eyes were locked on his as the narcotic steam began to fill the pod.

“I know you will, Danny, but even if you can’t do anything for me, I’ll love you just the same.”When the steam cleared, she was fast asleep. He wondered if she would dream. If so, he wondered if he would be in it. That last moment, those last words—did she know? Had she retained, at the last, just enough cognizance to comprehend?

The thought that she would dream of him was pleasurable.

20. David changed his voice when he’s back to David (I noticed that in the movie as well)

Carefully, he brushed at his hair, adjusting the one remaining memory of his twin.When he spoke, his voice was slightly different. The tiniest difference in tone, in accent. Both meaningful.

[ "Submorphosis / Mr. Man" | Soiree Rec. Int. | Fathom Records  | Scenic Music| RF Music | Psycho Thrill Rec. | BangTech12 | Xenology, Aberdeen UK ] Black Jack, better known by his DJ pseudonym Mr. Man and also under the dub step genre as Submorphosis, has been in and around the dance music scene since 1996. His influences came from Detroit, citing Juan Atkins, Rhythm is Rhythm, Eddie Flashin Fowlkes and Jeff Mills as creators of his electronic techno style. A regular at Scotland’s finest club nights Pure, Slam, Test, Pussypower, Syntax and Subculture, these nights became pivotal points in his early days as DJ, opening the flood gates to an abundance of top acts from around the globe. Fast forward to September 2009 and Black Jack had his first transatlantic vinyl release on Derrick Thompson’s label Soiree Records International in Detroit. In LA he also had releases out on Lucas Rodenbush‘s label Scenic Music and again in Detroit, an E.P. out on Dwayne Jensen‘s (r.i.p.) label Fathom Records. Beside this he started releasing on Vancouver based RF Music, run by Rennie Foster, with a track on the Entrowerk compilation. On his home ground, he released on Murge Recordings and Rhythmic Science (alongside Mark Archer, Derek Carr and Mark Ambrose), with more releases due out on Feelharmonic Records and classic rave/bleep label - Ozone Recordings. Finally he started his own imprint, Xenology Records, with co-owner and DJ partner Jace Syntax, which focuses on futuristic house and techno. His tracks have been remixed by Drivetrain, Pure Science, Atesh K, Aubrey, Hughes Gibouley, Lucas Rodenbush – E.B.E., Dave-G, 2lite, Thomas Barnett, Jules Wells, Jace Syntax, Jacksonville, Jay Tripwire, Cloudmaster Weed and Sean Deason. Alongside his own productions Black Jack's DJ career has seen him play in the best underground clubs in Scotland, including the Pelican, Soundhaus, Club 69, Glasgow School of Art, and Carlton Studios, along with other international gigs. He has been a resident at club nights Syntax, Bang Tech 12, Pigeon Project, Meautronix, Science Friction and Funion and has played alongside Blake Baxter, Richard Grey, Nathan Coles, Laid Back Luke, Funk D’void, Pure Science, Tama Sumo, Thomas Barnett, Claus Bachor, Tim Baker, Deepak Sharma, HD Substance, Detroit Techno Militia and Derrick Thompson, to name but a few. We better get used to the social media flirting because It looks like this is only the beginning.

After months of avoiding romance rumors, the sweet Riverdale couple finally went public with their romance. First, she penned a note to her beau on his birthday in August, then he returned the sweet gesture by also wishing her a happy birthday and calling her his muse.

Now Lili took to Instagram to troll her boyfriend by posting a shirtless photo of him writing, “I hope you don’t mind”. He took to the comments section to poke some fun at their relationship writing, “are you guys dating?”

The social media flirting comes in the heels of Lily opening up about being careful with what she chooses to share on social media. She said QUOTE, “I keep my relationship private because it’s just between two people, and that’s the way it should be.”

We do understand why the couple of the moment would want to keep their romance private but, the Riverdale fans just can’t get enough of these two.
