Hi! I remember reading your bio and seeing that you were a medical student, so I thought I'd ask a few questions (toootally not for atla fic, no, never... okay, yes it is). i- do people in fics represent med school or whatever it's called well? for katara's studies. ii- is it as hard as it seems? iii- do you actually manipulate with people? iv- what's the general atmosphere? thank youuuuuu!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

hi there! 

yes, i am a 4th year medical student. i am about to graduate with my MD and enter residency which is further training for physicians in their specialty of choice.

as far as if med school is represented well in fics, i honestly can’t say. i haven’t personally read any medical au’s. i did write a surgical residency au and the medical portions of that are accurate at least according to my experience.

do we manipulate people? ummmmm... no?

general atmosphere is: work hard. be a team player. everyone is tired. no whining. patients come first. always.

and to your final question: is med school as hard as it seems?

but to be honest with you or anyone thinking of going to medical school, the best thing i can tell you is that it is all about expectations. 

is it insanely hard? yes. 

will it drive you to places that you never thought you’d go (and places you never thought you’d get out of?) yes. 

does it consume most (if not all) of your 20′s? yeppers.

but is getting the chance to help people at their lowest point the absolute best job in the world and greatest privilege? big yes.

5.9.2017 Muumitalomaisessa Ystävyyden Majatalossa asuu yleensä noin 7-10 toipujaa, jotka hyvin eri syistä asuvat kanssamme parista kuukaudesta pariin vuoteen. Nyt meillä on taas vapautumassa muutama huone siihen tarkoitukseen. Jos koet tarvitsevasi yhteisöllistä tukea jostain kokemuksesta toipumiseen, uusien asioiden kohtaamiseen ja ihan tavallisen arjen harjoittelemiseen olet tervetullut jakamaan elämääsi kanssamme.

En tiedä montako ihmistä tää kiinnostaa, mutta nyt olis mahdollista saada lego muumitalo. Lego ideas nettisivuilla voi esitellä ideoita lego tuotteita varten ja jos ne saa tarpeeksi ääniä, niin ne saattaa tulla kauppojen hyllylle. 3. Height? Uhhhh ... somewhere between 160 & 170 cm, I think? I honestly don't remember, and I don't feel like pulling out the measuring tape right now.

4. Hogwarts House? Slytherin, according to the Pottermore quiz.

5. Last thing I looked up? The Yalta Conferece.

6. Song stuck in my head? Divlji Vjetre by Damir Kedžo. Croatia should've won that bloody Eurovision, dammit!!!

7. Number of followers? 22, and I cherish every single one of them!

8. Amount of sleep? Not enough ... I'd say 6 or 7 hours per night on average?

9. Favourite number? Um. I'm neutral on this. I value all numbers equally?

10. Dream job? Historian.

11. Wearing? My pjs!!!

12. Favourite author? Impossible to determine. Might as well ask me to pick a favourite fandom. It simply doesn't work that way.

13. Favourite instrument? The organ, because I wanted to play it once upon a time.

14. Aesthetic? High-heeled boots, long skirts, vibrantly-coloured coats, thick books, coffee mugs, headphones, heavy earrings.
