[descriptions under the cut] Made a little comic thing about Moomintroll and comphet.

the first drawing is of Moomintroll and Snorkmiaden’s profiles, facing away from each other with saddened expressions. Snorkmaiden says “it’s over” in a speech bubble, and the drawing is captioned: I suppose I don’t really know what love is.

The second drawing is two pictures of moomin, one as a small child the other as an adult. Child moomin is eagerly bent over his two dolls that he is playing with: a female Joxter in a frilly dress and a moomin in a sailor’s outfit, Moomin is holding them so their hands are touching. His tail is flicking out behind him in excitement with a bow tied around it. Older moomin is standing upright and holding two small dolls of him and snorkmaiden, looking troubled, his tail nervously curling round his leg. These drawings are titled I suppose the whole time I was just playacting.

The third drawing is of Moomin lying in bed with his head on his pillow, underneath a thick blanket. He is thoughtfully staring at the ceiling. This drawing is captioned: but even so I can’t help but wonder...

The next drawing is of two white moomin hands reaching for each other, gently touching their fingertips together. The caption continues on from the pervious one “ but even so I can’t help but wonder... “ and reads “what it’s like to be in love for real” 

The final image is of snufkin and moomin dancing in the grass. Snukin is balancing on one leg, holding his hat so it doesn’t fly off with his hair all tousled around his shoulders and his scarf blowing in the wind. He is wearing his usual smock, trousers and laced boots. Moomin is facing him as he dances, also standing on one leg, and smiling with his eyes closed. The final words read “but if it doesn’t feel like this I don’t want to be in love.”

I have a bunch of Moomin fanart (by other people, not my fanart) in my queue, and it’s probably gonna stay there until I figure out tags. Because I suppose I need to tag everyone by their English-translated names, but I want to tag everyone by their original names, but neither their original names nor their English names are the ones I grew up with, so for me Snufkin, for example, will always be Snusmumrik, and I might just authomatically tag him as such without realizing what I did. (Well. Not him, probably. Other folks whom I know by names that aren’t the names either their author or the English translator gave them.)

So I guess I just need to go to wikipedia and tag them with both set of names while constantly stopping myself from using the third.
