The way Jeff Buckley deciding to cover Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen songs has affected my daily life is insane to me. Catching both brainrot from someone you've never met and getting the evolved version with them ingrained in it is such an experience
So. After weeks of work (*insert alpaca scream here*), my trading site is open for trading! To celebrate, I decided to gift a few audios and videos from Phantom of the Opera, a few audios from Les Misérables, two cast recordings from Elisabeth das Musical, and a cast recording for Sweeney Todd. Enjoy!
(If you're the master of a listed audio/video, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you want me to remove your stuff from the list.)
POTO audios
Michael Crawford, Rebecca Caine (alt.), Steve Barton
October 10, 1987; London
Michael Crawford and Steve Barton's last in London. Soundboard, very good quality, and this one is complete. And Rebecca Caine sounds amazing in it (as she always does).

This is the Las Vegas Spectacular production, which is abriged compared to the original but totally worth seeing. If you want to understand why I love Meg Giry so much, Brianne Kelly Morgan is one of the best I've ever seen in the role. Also, if you’re meh about Raoul... with Andrew Ragone, think again. He’s one of the most Superman/Clark Kent Raouls I’ve seen. And I really like Kristi Holden’s Leroux-esque Christine too.

Last December, ARCH ENEMY announced that it had "amicably" parted ways with longtime guitarist Jeff Loomis.
ARCH ENEMY founder and chief songwriter Michael Amott said in a statement: "It's been a joy having Jeff play with ARCH ENEMY for close to a decade, we truly had a blast touring around the world together! We were friends long before we played music together and we remain even closer buddies now, which feels great. We respect that he's in a place and time in life where he needs to step out of ARCH ENEMY and we all wish him nothing but the best moving forward.
"The only constant is change, and this is one of those moments where things had to change a little to move forward in a satisfactory way for everyone involved. With all that said, we are extremely pleased to announce that we have recruited Joey Concepcion as our new guitarist! Joey's a phenomenal talent and has been a friend of the band for a long time, he even filled in for Jeff on a couple of European festival shows back in 2018.
"We have touring and a myriad of other exciting things coming up on the horizon with ARCH ENEMY for 2024 and beyond and are thrilled to move forward, creating the next chapter and keeping the metal flowing!"
Loomis commented: "My time in ARCH ENEMY has come to an end. I have had a great time (9 years!) of playing and touring with them, but now it's time to enter a new chapter in my life. I wish Alissa, Michael, Sharlee and Daniel the very best and consider them all lifelong friends. I'd also like to thank the crew that have always been nothing but kind to me. Their hard work and dedication towards the band is incredible, and we wouldn't be able to put on the great shows without them. Thank you again for all your support over the years and Happy New Year."
Lastly, Joey Concepcion had the following to say about joining the ARCH ENEMY fold: "It's an honor and a privilege to be working with ARCH ENEMY and I'm very much looking forward to shredding stages across the globe together, playing for and meeting all the fans!"
Jeff, who was the main songwriter in his previous group, NEVERMORE, joined ARCH ENEMY in late 2014, but was not involved in the writing for the latter act's last two albums, 2017's "Will To Power" and 2022's "Deceivers".
In a 2018 interview with All That Shreds, Jeff said that he had "a lot of musical ideas" that he was hoping to contribute to ARCH ENEMY in the future. "I did write three or four songs for ['Will To Power'], but they didn't make it, only because it wasn't in the style that they were looking for," he said. "Fortunately enough, I was able to play guitar solos on the latest album, so that makes me happy."
Seven years ago, Amott said that Loomis is "a strong songwriter" in his own right, "but not in the style of ARCH ENEMY, I feel. He's always writing and recording with his own stuff," he explained. "He has a project called CONQUERING DYSTOPIA, he has his solo stuff, [and] he obviously wrote most of the NEVERMORE stuff. I've always respected him, and continue to respect him, as a guitar player — he's amazing and an amazing human being; he fits in perfectly. [There's] a great chemistry [between us]. But, you know, I've always written most of the music, so it's difficult to… I don't really wanna change the sound of the band too much. The band sort of started around my songwriting and my ideas, and those continue to be the most dominant ones, I guess. But, you know, who knows [what can happen] in the future?"
Loomis's second and latest solo album, 2012's "Plains Of Oblivion" was produced by Aaron Smith (7 HORNS 7 EYES) and featured cover artwork by Colin Marks of Rain Song Design, who had previously worked with ALL SHALL PERISH, THE END and XERATH.
Nina's dating history is a huge mess. She has some problems she needed to sort through and luckily she had great friends.
For years, Nina identified as pansexual and even hyperromantic as she always went from one crush to the next in intensely small amounts of time until she found Jeff and became super ridiculously obsessed and became a killer for him when she was only 12.
By 15 she did end up dating Jeff on and off though, he was never actually interested in her and had used her for his own selfish gain a lot until she realized that at 19 and finally cut him off, becoming friends again when she was 21.
By 20, she was dating Eyeless Jack who seemed actually interested in her but he knew something was off. They almost got married and had a kid but he figured her out faster than she did.
At 22, through the help of EJ, Jeff, Toby and Clockwork, she finally realized she was never really attracted to men and began to identify as lesbian then, she dated Kate briefly until she realized her obsessions were acting up again and that her and Kate...never talked..turns out Kate couldn't even actually speak.
Then by 25, after working on herself the most for some time and identifying as an aromantic lesbian, she began a more queerplantonic relationship with none other than Zero!
And that's Nina The Killer's entire dating history within my AU "Dwellers" as of 16/03/2024

Murphy Legislation to Provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to Veterans Passes VA Health Subcommittee
April 16, 2024
Press Release
Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D.'s legislation, H.R. 3649, the Veterans National Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment Act, passed the House Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Health by voice vote. This bipartisan bill would establish a pilot program at the Department of Veterans Affairs to furnish hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for veterans who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
"Since entering office, advocating for new treatment pathways for our veterans has been one of my top priorities," said Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. "During my time in the North Carolina House of Representatives, I successfully led the effort to make hyperbaric oxygen therapy accessible to veterans in our state. I'm proud to announce that the U.S. House Veterans' Affairs Health Subcommittee has passed my Veterans National Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment Act which would enact similar reform at the national level. I'm grateful for the support of my colleagues and look forward to continuing my advocacy on behalf of this lifesaving treatment."
Cosponsors: Reps. Marilyn Strickland (D-WA), Jennifer Kiggans (R-VA), Don Davis (D-NC), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), William Timmons (R-SC), Chris Pappas (D-NH), Bill Huizenga (R-MI), and Del. James Moylan (R-GU).
Background
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy accelerates the brain’s healing process by providing the bloodstream with elevated oxygen to reach and repair damaged tissue and restore normal function.
Studies demonstrate that HBOT is an effective treatment for veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI. Authors of one such study described HBOT as having “one of the greatest reductions in PTSD symptoms in a four-week period with any reported treatment.”
Despite its proven efficacy and requests by Members of Congress, the Department of Veterans Affairs currently does not employ HBOT.
ACTION on the Bill thus far; date for full Comm vote TBD.

-----------------------------
I had just enough time to throw together a new volume of Christmas Jam as a bonus for this year. As I’ve written here before, there are always far too many great holiday jazz tracks to include in my usual Christmas compilations so every so often I try to do an extra all-jazz collection as well.
Highlights:
Shorty Rogers was a trumpet and flugelhorn player who was also in great demand as an arranger. (He did a fair amount of work with the Monkees, among many other artists.) Here he plays on “Overture for Shorty”, a track from his 1960 album, The Swingin’ Nutcracker.
I haven’t been able to find out much about the Town Pipers (not to be confused with the Doodletown Pipers), but they were a jazz vocal group who apparently only released one album, Christmas Greetings, in 1959. I’m also not familiar with this song, “Santa’s On His Way”, so it may have been composed by or for them.
There aren’t many musicians who can say they’ve played with John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Spike Jones, but harpist Betty Glamann did all that and more, in addition to leading her own group. This version of “Deck the Halls” is from her 1959 album Christmas Fantasy.
And speaking of Coltrane, in 2009 singer Kurt Elling released Dedicated to You: Kurt Elling Sings the Music of Coltrane and Hartman, a tribute to the 1963 recording John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman. However, this version of “Cool Yule”, originally made famous by Louis Armstrong, is from his 2016 album, The Beautiful Day: Kurt Elling Sings Christmas.
Will Bradley was an American trombonist and bandleader during the 1930s and 1940s, best remembered for the original hit version of “Beat Me Daddy, Eight to the Bar”. He and his band, The Boogie Woogie Boys, tear things up here with “Jingle Bells Boogie Woogie”.
The harpejji is an electric stringed musical instrument that was developed in 2007 and has been described as a cross between a piano and a guitar or as a cross between an accordion and a pedal steel guitar.
The great Jacob Collier makes use of it to play a version of “White Christmas”. You can see a video of the performance here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5T-9RPW4pg
Betty's Bounce is a trio performing acoustic American and gypsy jazz in the spirit of guitarist Django Reinhardt. Here they offer a gently swinging arrangement of Wham’s “Last Christmas” from their 2018 album Luminous.
And finally, for no particular reason, a track called “Merry Christmas In Eight Foreign Languages” just in case you find yourself in one of these countries at Yuletide.
Mark Newman’s New Video At The Border Shines a Light on the Worldwide Refugee Crisis
“At The Border”, the latest Music Video from acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Mark Newman is now available on his Official YouTube Channel and social media pages. The video was Directed by George Panagakos of 525 Media.
Watch the Video on YouTube
Regarding the genesis of this tune, Mark explained, “At The Border” was originally written about the struggles of the people fleeing the war in Ukraine, but is also inspired by the millions of people all around the world trying to escape oppression and hunger on an ongoing basis”.
In a pre-production meeting, Newman told the director, “This has been going on since the times of Ancient Egypt. People have had to leave their homes to find better lives elsewhere throughout history. It’s a worldwide problem. That’s what this song is about, and what I’d like to see represented in this film.”
No stranger to tackling tough topics, Mark has always worked to bring about political and social change with his songs, including the recent releases “When I Aim My Gun”, and “Tulsa”, which solemnly recounts the Tulsa Massacre of 1921.
The current global estimate is that there are approximately 281 million refugees worldwide, which equates to 3.6 per cent of the global population. Overall, the estimated number of international migrants has increased drastically over the past five decades.
Of the more than 44 million immigrants in the United States as of 2019, one-third (14.8 million) were low income, meaning that their family’s income was below 200% percent of the federal poverty level.
Upcoming Mark Newman Showdates:
6/24 Mark Newman w/ The Hitmen, Coppell, TX
7/15 Mark Newman w/ Streetfighter at Jones Beach Bandshell, NY
7/16 Mark Newman w/ Sailin’ Shoes (Little Feat Tribute) at Woodbridge Concert Series
7/23 Mark Newman w/ Sailin’ Shoes (Little Feat Tribute) at Great South Bay Music Festival
8/10 Mark Newman w/ Jeff Lake at Jones Beach Bandshell, NY
9/03 Mark Newman w/ Allmost Brothers at Jones Beach Bandshell, NY
Newman has worked with many soul, blues and rock greats including John Oates (Hall & Oates), Jim McCarty (The Yardbirds), Willy DeVille (Mink DeVille), Sam The Sham, Bobby Whitlock (Derek and the Dominos) and Sam Moore (Sam & Dave).
Mark has also shared the stage with stars such as Sting, Elvis Costello, Travis Tritt and Carla Thomas as well. As an opening act, Mark and his original band have played many dates with acts like Delbert McClinton, Les Dudek, The Doobie Brothers, Don Felder of The Eagles, David Bromberg and many others. A multi stringsman, Mark has mastered electric/acoustic/lap steel guitar as well as the mandolin and dobro.
Past releases include the singles “Tulsa”, a song and video created in remembrance of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921, and “From Me To You”, a cover of the Janis Ian song for her Better Times Project of 2020. His most recent album, “Empirical Truth” was the 2019 Winner of The Long Island Blues Society Best Album Category, and represented the NY area in competition at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Earlier records include 2006’s “Must Be a Pony”, 2010’s “Walls of Jericho”, and 2015’s “Brussels” – a live acoustic-driven EP.

whatamagicalplace made one of these charts last year. Those efforts gave me a starting point but I wanted to tweak it after doing my own research. I decided to share my final result since my version differs from hers in several ways. My reasoning for each game is discussed below; but if you have any evidence to add, feel free.
SCK: Nancy says in the opening letter she took a semester off school to visit Eloise in Florida. The banners for Senior Prom are still prominent throughout the school and the event is scheduled for May 23. Game takes place in a single day but that day could be any time in late spring semester prior to May 23.
SCK2: Homecoming banners are prominent and the event is scheduled for Sept 23. A flyer with Jake’s secret messages has a date of Sept 05, so let’s assume Jake was still alive then. The game says Nancy is there to investigate after Jake was murdered “last week.” That could mean three to seven days after the murder since it happened on a Thurs. Thus Remastered takes place in a single day but that day could be anywhere from Sept 08 to 22.
STFD: Nov 13 (confirmed with calendar). Game takes place for as many days and nights as player needs.
MHM: “Winter Festival” and Charlie studying for finals indicates late Nov to early Dec. Newspaper about the lost gold at the end is dated Mar 03; it could’ve been published after money settlement and the renovations completed though. Game takes place for as many days and nights as player needs.
TRT: December. The Spanish letter from Lisa’s friend is dated Nov 30 and acknowledges that Lisa is already in Wisconsin. By now, time should be well into Dec.
FIN: Possibly Nov (game’s release) but there are no confirmed dates on anything. It’s likely during the school year since Maya is doing the interview for the student newspaper. Game takes place over three days.
SSH: Calendar on Henrik’s desk is for the month of April. The book version takes place during the DC Cherry Blossom parade which usually occurs last week of March or early April. Game takes place for as many days as player needs. (Early April timeline would match with end of game trailer and dates for DOG.)
DOG: Jeff’s calendar is open to April. Culprit’s log book says Sally is due to move in to the cabin on April 19. Sally says she spent four weeks at Moon Lake, implying the game starts May 18. But I really don’t see Jeff’s character forgetting to change the calendar, so either Sally moved in early or she means four weeks total including seeing the property, bidding, and the final sale plus moving in. And let’s remember there’s no safe water source, so it’s unlikely Sally could live there for four weeks straight. Sally says the dogs howled a full week before they attacked the house and then they appeared every night since; maybe Sally lasted 9-14 days with the ghost dogs. The game could likely begin anywhere between Apr 28 and May 18. Then continue for as many days and nights as the player needs.
CAR: Culprit’s emails with black market dealer date from May 23 through June 04. Harlan’s appt book opens to June 09-13 with the significant clue on June 10. Game is a single day, likely on June 10, but could be as early as June 05.
DDI: June 17 (confirmed with calendar). Single day of gameplay.
SHA: Sept 15 to 17. Nancy’s airline ticket confirms arrival date in AZ. Timeline of the game takes place in three days. (Tex’s b-day is Sept 16!)
CUR: This is anybody’s guess. Hugh and Linda were married Aug 22. The lawyer’s letter to Mrs. Drake states Linda must live at the manor for another three months to fulfill the “six-month-habitation-clause” and those six months must be consecutive in the first year of marriage. Game could be late Nov at the earliest. However, frogs are chirping when Nancy arrives at the manor which is a spring thing and Bess and George say they are attending sailing camp. The fact that no one is suggesting that Linda can leave due to health reasons and start the six months over when she’s well again makes me think the year is half gone already. So the game could also be taking place in April or May at the latest.
CLK: May 07 (confirmed with calendar). Single day of gameplay.
TRN: We see snow in Copper Gorge, but it’s in Colorado and snow can be any time of year there. Frank and Lori are wearing the puffy vests and everyone else has jackets and sweaters. Fatima says it’s the off-season now and summer is the busy season. Makes me think winter is my best guess.
DAN: Game takes place for as many days as player needs. The newspaper on Day 1 is dated Aug 28. Newspapers continue to appear through Sept 06, which publishes that the journalists are negotiating for raises and the sounds of the impending strike are occurring outside JJ’s apartment. Day 11 (Sept 07) and onward have no more newspapers appear on the kitchen table. Let’s say Aug 28 to Sept 07 for simplicity.
CRE: Mike’s calendar is set to March. Quigley’s tape recorder log updates as of Mar 28. Craven’s shipping records say his latest sample was sent to Aikens Biotech on Apr 09. Game takes place in a single day, probably Apr 09 or 10. (Mike just hasn’t turned over the calendar yet)
ICE: Newspaper in the lodge is dated Jan 13. Elsa’s resignation letter is dated Jan 15. Lodge computer says Lupe checked in on Jan 15 and she noticed the lack of maid services for days. Game likely takes place that same week, starting maybe Jan 18 at the earliest, and lasts over several days and nights.
CRY: May 31 (confirmed with calendar). Single day of gameplay.
VEN: Newspaper in the Ca’ terrace says chalice was stolen “this morning” and the police records say the theft happened Jan 25. When Nancy nabs Nico on the stakeout, the next day’s newspaper is dated Feb 03. Since game takes place over several days, it likely plays from Jan 25 to Feb 03.
HAU: Night of May 28. The wedding is set for June 01. The end dialogue says Kyler and Matt couldn’t stop saying “I love you” from when the rocket launched to four days later, which was their wedding day.
RAN: The float plane pilot says resorts like Dread Isle shut down in the summer for “hurricane season” in the Bahamas. And the game was released in July. Since we see the map that charts all of Nancy’s past cases (including HAU) so the game is after the wedding on Jun 01. But there is no reference to the current date aside from “summer.” Single day of gameplay.
WAC: The essay Mel receives from her teacher with the plagiarist comments is dated Nov 21. Since two more nights of sleep are required to trigger events in the game, we can figure that the game takes place from Nov 21 to 23.
TOT: Scott’s calendar is open to May and filled in with code until the 19th. The log book of precipitation is filled out until May 24. Game likely takes place from May 20 to 25.
SAW: The TE-Japan brochure in Nancy’s teacher tote says her exchange program runs from Jun 01 to Sept 15 with different durations of 2 weeks, 3-4 weeks, and 5-8 weeks. With no specific date in the game and the player taking as many days and nights as needed to solve the mystery, we have to settle for saying it takes place in “summer.”
CAP: Karl’s daily calendar is on page March 12. When Nancy finds the final forged email from “Markus” she remarks that it has tomorrow’s date, which is Mar 13. Game is a single night of play on Mar 12.
ASH: Newspaper and police report of Nancy’s arrest say the game is done in a single day of August 18. The fire took place on Aug 17.
TMB: It’s the desert and there are no dates on any clue in the game. Since Lily is a student and Abdullah and Jon are professors, perhaps the game takes place in summer between any busy semester/class schedules.
DED: Ellie’s notepad in the control booth says she gave the coil demo to Nancy on Oct 29. Nancy arrived in daylight hours but since Ellie is on the night shift, the demo could have taken place on either side of midnight which means the game could start on either Oct 28 or 29. (Nancy arrived 10/28, night fell and midnight passed, then Ellie gives demo 10/29 OR Nancy arrives 10/29, night fell and it’s not midnight yet, then Ellie gives the demo still on 10/29.) Game continues for as many days and nights as the player needs.
GTH: Jessalyn’s phone recorded her bachelorette party antics from the night of Oct 27 to early morning of Oct 28. Addison says Jess had vanished for the second time after sun-up. It is unclear how many days Jessalyn has been missing before Nancy arrives on the island. Nancy was deep asleep when Savannah calls her for help, which means Jess has been gone at least a full day. Then Nancy arrives on the island at night which either means it’s evening on the same day of Savannah’s call or another day has passed by the time Nancy gets there. Oct 29 is the earliest possibility. Game takes place over three nights. Likely set between Oct 29 and Nov 01.
SPY: The newspaper reports that July 14 is near and it will be the eighth anniversary of Revenant’s first attack. Alec’s letter documents that his sister was kidnapped on the first of the month and has not been seen since. Game takes place between Jul 02 and 14. While Nancy cannot sleep or change the time of day, it is hard to believe that traveling back and forth throughout Scotland’s towns and the different phases of the spy operation all take place in a single day.
MED: Summer in the southern hemisphere, so datewise it’s set between Dec and Feb. Again there’s no sleep or time of day transitions but the elimination rounds likely take place over several days.
LIE: Employee timecards are recorded through July 05, the artifact exchange log is filled out through July 06, and the packing slip on the open crate says received July 06. Game is a single day of play, likely on July 06 or 07.
SEA: Soren’s winter guest log says Nancy is visiting in January. Game takes place for as many days and nights as player needs.
MID: Minion’s plane ticket TO Austria where the game begins is dated Oct 26 and the game goes into Halloween.

About the Pens’ medical staff ...
I recall a time a few years ago when the Pens’ medical staff was getting grief because so many players were so constantly injured. People who had no clue what was going on beyond the most basic of medical updates played armchair doctor and decided it was faulty medical care causing the problem. Based on recent information that’s come out about how many teams in the league tend to medicate and treat players with no regard to their future health (or their current health, for that matter), I was pleased and relieved to see Tom Sestito’s recent tweets (here and here) about how the Pens do it right.
In light of comments I’ve seen today on the Pens’ tweets about Sid’s current status and Tanger’s status as officially COVID-19-positive -- comments again blaming the Pens’ medical staff -- I think it bears repeating. If the Pens seem like they have more players injured more often or for longer periods of time, I believe it’s less likely a case of medical incompetence and more a case of a medical team -- and an organization as a whole -- that recognizes these are people who deserve to have a healthy life long after their hockey-playing days are over and are trying to do what’s in the best interest of the player.
As Sully said about Sid, "Obviously we want to get Sid in the lineup as quick as we possibly can, but we also want to make sure we do it in a safe manner. We'll rely and trust on our medical team that I think does such a great job in preparing our players for return to play."
And as Sully has noted in the past with the COVID-19 protocol, the Pens are going above and beyond what the league requires. They test daily, which is the only reason they caught Jeff Carter’s and Jake Guentzel’s asymptomatic infections. They kept ZAR from returning when he could have under league rules -- so they could have his heart tested to be sure he hadn’t suffered long-term heart damage. (“You see some of the players around the league having heart issues, so they just wanted to make sure that I was OK,” he said. “Which I was, thankfully.”)
Dharmesh Vyas, Chris Stewart and their staff deserve so much credit.

PSYCHO THRILL COLOGNE hosting
STROM TON’s 3rd anniversary Episode vol.36
on April 3rd, 2021 via Cologne’s own 674.fm
STROM TON Cologne impresario Stefan Eul invited the Psycho Thrill CGN boss-man and radio colleague Claus Bachor especially for the 3rd anniversary of his 674.fm broadcast. And he played a consistently slammin' BreakBeat/ HiTechFunk/ House set on the cutting edge aof TECHNO, that Cologne/Düsseldorf club aficionados otherwise got or get to hear in the legendary BNKR, on the BangTech12 rooftop of the Detroit Bookie's or currently in pandemic free times at the Golzheim Club in Düsseldorf. Not really a surprise, but definitely the appropriate sound framework for everyone who feels committed to real Techno underground.
In addition, the whole thing "handmade" only from vinyl and without compromises, featuring 44 Vinyl-Only-Tracks by The Beneficiaries/Eddie Fowlkes, Jeff Mills, Jessica Care Moore (Intro/Outro 2), Calibre (5), Attila Jahanvash, Shawn Rudiman, N-ter (2), Electro Nation, MAS2008, Ole Mic Odd feat. ❥ His favourite nickname is “Toe Bean”, accidentally given by Nina
❥ He’s autistic, because I said so.
❥ ^ He stims mainly by chewing (he has chewelry) and deep pressure.

🌜✨Jeff x Reader headcanons✨🌛
cuz y’all are simps-
(You guys can request stuff like this btw!! I also do character x character :3)
format inspired by @/intimidating-fettuccine
❥ he saw u and audibly gasped- how tf can someone be So Hot??? why he be,, Emotion??
❥ He suppressed his emotions for a long time. He didn’t want people to know that he’d gone mushy for some person he’d seen for a few seconds, it’d completely ruin his rep. and ego!
❥ For every moment that wasn’t spent with you, he was spent on knowing everything there was to know about you. Your favourite colour, your favourite film, your favourite piece of clothing or outfit, he was prepared to know it all!
❥ He didn't want to scare you, so he kept the stalking down to a minimum. He was so deeply afraid of the thought of you hating him or being scared of him, so he kept every aspect of life down to nothing but "I was a burn victim". Which admittedly made you a little skeptical of him.
(litol drabble under cut,, :))
He took his hand in yours as your eyes were trained on the TV that displayed a film that neither of you were really paying attention to, it was just background noise so you wouldn’t be left in the awkward silence that always occured in your shared conversations. But after a while, they became the silences in which you’d both lovingly study eachother, or stare into eachother’s eyes.
You always liked his eyes, the cobalt colour held but a strong fire, one that held power and warmth to those that dared to get closer to him. He cared for his close friends, and even more so for the people he’d get romantically mixed with. You included. Jeff was absolutely head over heels for you, downright obsessed, every waking hour was spent thinking about you, or gushing about you and your personality, your eyes, your sickeningly sweet voice that he just couldn’t get enough of. He’d recall times where he’d just beg you to talk for hours on end as he’d lay his head in your lap, listening tentatively as you’d ramble about anything and everything.
“I think... I think I’m in love with you,” Jeff confessed, his cheeks a light shade of red.
The one I can’t wait to see every chance I get to be in your arms
Your the one that fills every lasting breathe of my day, the every thought that consumes me
You are the one I was made for sure, and will always truly love and grow old with going forward!
You are my forever love, and i vow to always love, cherish and desire you endlessly for the days to come!
There isn’t a day I don’t want to not be touching you, caressing your beautiful skin, and loving you with slow kisses that last into the night until the morning sun!
I love you with all my heart and soul Jacqueline, your the most beautiful woman in the world to me and I am so lucky I get to be your man to adore you daily!

Well baby I have felt every day since day one of us meeting we have been in the best relationship, and every moment together we grow so much closer, and only ever growing that much closer all the time...
So here we are approaching our first Valentines and how wonderful our weekend will be, but all our weekends are amazing and every time we are together is always something new and undiscovered between us. Emotions that we didn’t know existed are discovered, such rawness and vulnerabilities are found among each other in moments we haven’t uncovered until that moment.
You are going to look so beautiful, sensual and sexy for our dinner we have planned for Saturday evening.... I am the luckiest guy in the world to have someone so beautiful as you under my arm to guide through the rest of my life and everything is sooo valid and concrete between us, I know I have found my ever lasting love, my eternal bond and soulmate!
Thank you Jacqueline Irene for being my angel and loving me and being everything I have ever wanted in a woman to make me feel loved, emotions I didn’t know existed or were barried away!
I love you with my whole heart entirely all 110% of me consistently!
Jefferey Lynne

Well Darlin you give me so many reasons to say I love you, and on the Eve of our Anniversary I can think of a thousand different reasons why I fall in love with you over and over again on a daily basis.
You are my one and only, you are the one I fell in love with the first night we were together almost exactly to the day on a Friday night! Your the one I shared my heart to for a few hours, your the one I kissed in a parked car!
We have had a beautiful romantic year, a love story I couldn’t imagine ever to walk into my life and re-live day after day with you. You are my one and only love that I will always cherish and adore from the moment you are in my arms, to the moment we end our day and into the early mornings… you give a whole new meaning to the word Home!
I can’t wait to be loving you for the rest of my life!
Baby thank you for being everything I have ever wanted and needed in my life to fulfill me wholeheartedly.
Jacqueline Irene I love you with every ounce of my heart and so look forward to growing old with you!

Family/Friends/Love Life
Relationship with their parents: Garrett was very close to Malcolm. As the firstborn and a fellow mage, he had plenty of time to bond with his father and follow in his footsteps. His relationship with Leandra wasn't as solid, though. He always wanted to make her proud, but she put a lot on him after his father died, and he mostly just accepted that she needed someone to take her pain out on
Siblings (outside of canon): Surprising or no, Hawke really loves Carver. He's not great at being serious and all that, but he does actually care and would do anything for his younger brother. He also realizes how much Carver has had to deal with and is willing to be an emotional punching bag whenever he needs it. His relationship with Bethany was a lot better, since they spent a lot of time learning magic together, and she was more willing to let loose than Carver. She was his rock, and the rest of the family's too, and her loss affected him deeply
Best friend(s): Varric, Isabella, Anders (initially), and Inquisitor Adaar (if she is able to exist in the RP)
Companion(s) they get along best with: Fenris, Isabella, Varric, Merrill, and Anders (initially)
Companion(s) they get along worst with: Carver (one-sided), Sebastian, and Anders (eventually)
Companion(s) from other games in the series you wish they could meet, and why: Alistair back when he was a Grey Warden, just because of the sheer amount of goofy himbo energy they both have
Age of sexual debut: Probably around 16 or 17 (but please don't be creepy about it; mun is ace and is only basing this age on what they heard about from their peers in high school)
Romanced: Fenris (RPs will not go beyond flirting with anyone he met after this man who stole his heart)
Relationship status as of the end of Inquisition: Partners
Are there any songs that particularly suit their romance?:
All On Me by Devin Dawson (with altered gender terms)
Did I Mention by Jeff Lewis and Mitchell Hope (again, altering gendered vocabulary)
Arms by Christina Perri
Latch by Sam Smith
What are they like as a romantic partner?: Snarky and playful, but ultimately putty in his partner's hands. He's a bit of a hopeless romantic and will turn his whole life upside down to please the one he loves. Also prone to grand romantic gestures and spontaneous displays of affection
Do they enjoy cuddling?: Absolutely!
Do they want children?: Not particularly
Do they (now or eventually) have children?: No
Skills
Can they cook?: A bit
Can they sing/play an instrument?: Sing? Sure. Play an instrument? No
Are they a good dancer? If not, do they do it anyway?: He can be, but it's much more fun to goof off and entertain the people around him
Do they have any creative hobbies?: Not really
Any martial training beyond their main weapon?: Malcolm trained him in swordfighting before his magic kicked in
Languages spoken: The common tongue and a bit of Tevene he picked up from Fenris
Any other unique skills they'd like us to know about?: He's pretty talented at drinking, but anything else he'd like you to know probably wouldn't be appropriate to repeat

THEATRE:HOME - 2:150 (thanks pandemic)
I usually separate out docs and fiction, but I watched almost no documentaries this year (with the exception of Dick Johnston). Reality is real enough.
TV Series
01 - BoJack Horseman (final season) - Pretty damned poignant finish to the show, replete with actual consequences for our reformed bad boy protagonist (which is more than you can say for most antiheroes of Peak TV).
02 - *Hello Ladies - I enjoy the pure awkwardness of seeing Stephen Merchant try to perform being a Regular Person, but ultimately this show tips him too far towards a nasty, Ricky Gervais-lite sort of persona. Perhaps he was always best as a cameo appearance, or lip synching with wild eyes while Chrissy Teigen giggles?
03 - Olive Kittredge - a rough watch by times. I read the book as well, later in the year. Frances Mcdormand was the best, possibly the only, casting option for the flinty lead. One episode tips into thriller territory, which is a shock.
04 - *The Wire S3, S4, S5 - lockdown culture! It was interesting to rewatch this, then a few months later go through an enormous, culture-level reappraisal of cop-centred narratives.
05 - Forever - a Maya Rudolph/Fred Armisen joint that coasts on the charm of its leads. The premise is OK, but I wasn’t left wanting any more at the end.
06 - *Catastrophe - a rewatch when my partner decided he wanted to see it, too!
07 - Red Oak - resolutely “OK” steaming dramedy, relied heavily on some pretty obvious cues to get across its 1980s setting.
08 - Little Fires Everywhere - gulped this one down while in 14-day isolation, delicious! Every 90s suburban mom had that SUV, but not all of them had the requisite **secrets**
09 - The Great - fun historical comedy/drama! Costumes: lush. Actors: amusing. Race-blind casting: refreshing!
10 - The Crown S4 - this is the season everyone lost their everloving shit for, since it’s finally recent enough history that a fair chunk of the viewing audience is liable to recall it happening.
11 - Ted Lasso - we resisted this one for a while (thought I did enjoy the ad campaign for NBC sports (!!) that it was based on). My view is that its best point was the comfort that the men on the show have (or develop, throughout the season) with the acknowledgement and sharing of their own feelings. Masculinity redux.
12 - Moonbase 8 - Goodnatured in a way that makes you certain they will be crushed.
13 - The Good Lord Bird - Ethan Hawke is really aging into the character actor we always hoped he would be!
14 - Hollywood - frothy wish-fulfillment alternate history. I think the show would have been improved immeasurably by skipping the final episode.
