Chowarim - Dragon / Fairy The Complete Pokemon Ability: Concordance - Boosts the power of fire, electric, and ice type moves by 50%.

I think I've accepted the fact that I do want to make some sort of fakemon story, most likely through a webcomic posted either here on Tumblr, or on Webtoon

Anywhos, if I am making this an actual story, why not introduce some of the important characters?

Here is babygirl Apollo! (They/Them) They would be the first gym leader turned rival. I'm thinking there would be two rivals so the other rival and protagonist (s?) will be posted... Eventually

Some tl;Dr more stuff on Apollo, They're essentially a Nepo baby. Their parents were both formerly Normal Type Gym Leader, at points in time and pushed them to be one, despite them not wanting to be a type specialist.

They have a much more animated personality once you get to know them, but have learned to mask any emotions to look more competent as a Gym Leader, despite only being one for a few months. Their current design is very symbolic and their trainer design is very different compared to this, I'm glad to share them eventually!!

While I’m struggling with a lack of artistic drive, I’ll share some Fakemon concepts that I was briefly inspired to create.

I don’t have name ideas for them at the moment, but I thought the overall concept was neat!

So, I set out to make a mongoose ‘mon, and with that my hands drew this.

From there my brain went down an immediate and steep rabbit hole.

And then I drew sneks. XD

This fella is kinda dopey. Not the smartest noodle around.

And the mongoose

isn’t the bravest. It fears opponents bigger than itself, so it puts on a display;

Bristling its stiff white fur and attempting to appear as a giant maw!

(I didn’t do any developmental doodles of gooseyboi rip. XD)

Now, these guys evolve. I had thought of two different possible ways for that to happen.

One: One of them beats the other in a battle after a certain level.

Two (a more gimmicky option): Have both in your party, one with under half HP. Level up the healthier one, and it’ll evolve, causing the other to disappear…

If the Snake overpowers the Mongoose, you get this;

And if the Mongoose overpowers the Snake, you get this

The Snake gains intelligence.

The Mongoose gains confidence.

Mod: Meet the newest addition to my roster, TANGLE! Tangle is a Mewtwo x Dragalge fusion I purchased from @absolutedream-art, and- I love him, I love him so much. I couldn't come up with a clean fusion name of the two species, so I decided to go ahead and not only give him his own species name, but also a baby AND Mega form >:)c I even made a full blank Fakemon template for this!

Not gonna lie obsessed with these designs now huehuehue~ Tempted to make an askblog for this guy, cuz I kinda wanna tell his story, but only if people are really interested >u<

MEWELP ("Mewtwo"/"Skrelp"/"Mew"/"Whelp") The Kelp Hider Pokemon PSYCHIC/POISON Ability: Poison Point / HA: Adaptability Moves: Camouflage, Confusion, Water Gun, Poison Tail

Mewelp was created in the Hadal Research Group domed undersea facility, where gene therapy was being studied using the DNA of Water type Pokemon such as Corsola, Slowpoke, and Skrelp for their regenerative capabilities. Mewelp prefers to hide over seeking conflict, using its superior camouflaging abilities to mask itself in kelp and undersea detritus to the point it turns completely invisible. When attacked, Mewelp will attempt to angle its venomous back spine and tail towards the assailant. It loves hide-and-seek, and pouncing from total cover on people and Pokemon that it deems friends and family.

Evolves into MIASMALGA at level 48

MIASMALGA ("Mewtwo"/"Dragalge"/"Miasma"/"Alga") The Wreck Ruler Pokemon PSYCHIC/DRAGON Ability: Pressure / HA: Adaptability Moves: Psystrike, Water Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Gunk Shot

Miasmalga is the "adult" form of Mewelp, having matured enough to evolve the Skrelp portion of their DNA into the full Dragalge DNA sequence. Their thinking and reasoning skills have advanced drastically by the time they reach this evolution, their intelligence on par with a full-blooded Mewtwo. Miasmalga shares the telepathic communication skill of their Legendary genetic donor, and can speak to and understand both humans and Pokemon with fully developed speech and clarity. Their reliance on poisonous self-defense for protection has diminished, instead replaced by great offensive power in the form of psychic and pulse-form attacks. In spite of this, Miasmalga's temperament is typically calm, favoring respect and wisdom over brutality.

Recently Bromojumbo (x) posted a FANTASTIC prompt on twitter where people send you suggestions for fakemon for you to try and make 1 fakemon from each type! I love making fakemon and my own random monsters so I of course HAD to give this a shot! Up to now I've only been pulling requests from Twitter but starting with the next type (Electric) I'll be asking for suggestions from here as well! So get ready!

Pokedex entries + some thoughts on some of them are in the readmore!

GRASS TYPE - Boonion & Garlich "These pokemon show up wherever there's rampant food waste, haunting locations where rotten food lies and making it smell even worse than it already does."

FIRE TYPE - Civetorch "An odd mammal that can spew out slick oil and scalding hot flames, using this combo as a very deadly offense. Their oil is farmed to help power all sorts of vehicles!"

I was particularly drawn to the Civet suggestion because it's an animal Id NEVER heard of! And I thought it being used for perfume was very odd lol.

WATER TYPE - Mawrine "This strange fish Pokemon is hard as a rock with a soft, see through underbelly. Their bioluminescence is so bright that they're often kept by sailors to help guide the way on the sea when lighthouses aren't near!"

I'm not SUPER thrilled with how this one came out but I got to mix a lot of suggestions together for it and it is the nicest of all the attempts I came up with for an angler fish Pokemon.

NORMAL TYPE - Kablock "These mischievous Pokemon LOVE blending in with buildings and can adapt to all types of walls. If youre ever trapped in an area you swear had an exit, it's probably Kablock playing a trick on you! Giving it some food will usually make it drop its disguise."

THIS ONE I'm VERY happy with the end result! I based it off the Nurikabe wall yokai and, of course, whomps from Mario! At first it was just gonna be the brick wall design then I realized it should be Dry Wall like the suggestions. Then I realized, why not all types of walls!? In case it's not obvious, the building or enviornment you encounter Kablock in would change its appearance, giving it lots of variety!

FLYING TYPE - Infarod "For years, people wondered what the weird snake like creatures flying in photos were. Until a photographer discovered it was an undiscovered Pokemon! Using their unique abilities, Infarods can make their entire bodies invisible to the naked eye!"

Also my idea is that their little fins flow nicely in the wind and also the color cycles across all the fins while they flow. Hopefully you see my vision it's very pretty. Also they glow in the dark (when not invisible)

BUG TYPE - Envimoth "These Pokemon may seem completely standard. But they are actually exceptionally jealous. If they suspect anyone is getting smitten with a Pokemon they have eyes for, they will absolutely flip out and begin doing a bizarre mating ritual for attention!"

I had a gameplay concept for this that feels very much so Pokemon where if your Envimoth fights a Pokemon of the same gender, it goes into a berserker mode where it deals more damage but can't give it commands anymore. And that's what Jealous mode is! Oh also it can use the nasty tentacles for attacks of course

happy belated halloween! i took adderall for the first time in weeks and instead of working on my projects i drew my interpretation/slight redesign of greavard and my overhauled redesign of houndstone!

artist notes below the cut! :D

Greavard

i decided to not spend too much energy trying to keep the "pokemon art style" so i could focus my energy on making him look good

i wanted to keep the core features and make him still recognizable as greavard

i also wanted to stay consistent with the trend of puppy pokemon evolving into a dog pokemon, with the puppy still being passable as a full grown itself (eg: yamper, lillipup, houndour)

my biggest problems lied with how cartoony he looked, so i fixed this by giving him more realistic proportions but still keeping them "puppy-like" by giving him big paws and ears, which are the defining features that puppies have that indicate how big they will be when they grow up

the candle looked stupid and clumsily done, so i made it feel a bit more natural by having it look more realistically like a candle and have the melting wax turn into fur. originally i wanted to have his bangs also be melting wax and make that more of a part of his design, with his fur also looking like dripping wax, but that felt like it would stray too far from the core design

more ghost-like features! i gave him a big long translucent tongue and made his fur turn wispy at the ends of his ears and tail. considered doing this to his "cape" of fur too but it cluttered the design too much

i also considered giving him some kind of chains and shackles like i did with my church grim fakemon i made years ago, but it didn't feel fitting for greavard since his evolution is supposed to be the spirit of a dearly loved pokemon. it made sense for a church grim because theyre supposed to guard graveyards, and their spirits are bound to the graveyard that they're buried at

Houndstone

So I did originally just try and tweak houndstone's design, but every attempt I made just kept getting shafted by the stupid tombstone that looked like a stupid little hat. So he needed an overhaul

Houndstone's dex entry says "A lovingly mourned Pokémon was reborn as Houndstone." Maybe this one evolved after nobody loved him as a greavard (since they sap your life force) and his loneliness caused him to take on a malevolent evolution?

I wanted to keep the mound he had because bulbapedia says it might be referencing a type of burial mound. But in his canon design it makes him look like he has a camel hump. So I transferred it to his shoulders to give him a hyena-like body type, to make it more pronounced, make his silhouette more dynamic, and to make his draped mane look cooler

Gave him more realistic proportions, just like with greavard. No more stupid giant head

Gave him pointy teeth instead of the silly nubbins to make the "malevolent" part more appearant

Replaced his stupid headstone with a candle with a bigger flame. Maybe it's bigger from stealing the life force from so many possible trainers? Also gave him a row of candles down his back to help him look more like an "upgraded" evolution of greavard

Longer bone tail because it's cool

The sprites with the flat colors and his in-game sprites showed his fur as completely white with purple spots on his back and head. I thought the official art was cooler with the color variance so I used that instead

Just realized I forgot to add wisps to the ends of his ear like greavard's but I don't care anymore

I decided to try and design a fakemon during a family holiday reunion to keep me distracted from the fireworks sounds and crying children! This is my actual first fakemon! Idk how hoomans can come up with incredible concepts and beautiful designs so flawlessly! Mine is more of an attempt, a fun one nonetheless.

Harbeary comes from the word Harvest and the bearry pun (bear + berry). They enjoy basking in the light, taking care of their crops until they are ready to reap and consume. Sometimes, they'll do competitions against each other to see who grows the biggest fruit.

This fakemon from the Thrift seeks out the company of others and once it has become a part of a herd or Team it is extremely loyal to said group and very aggressive to any other.

I originally intended to make it a Lechonk/Oinkologne regional variant, but my brain kept being drawn to making a Boar fakemon, so I eventually gave in and went with that, and I'm happy with how it looks, though I will admit I had planned to make it a 2 stage evolution, but was lazy and decided not to design the other stage, maybe if something else inspires me, I'll add it.

Anyway I imagine this Fakemon would be used by the grunts of the local 'Evil' Team which I imagine as a combination of team Skull and Team Rocket, a bunch of trouble making youths that want to become a big terrifying team like Team Rocket was but are starting out and no one is taking them seriously. (Which will backfire in the end as one of their attempts to get peoples attention will end up having them awakening some forgotten God-like Pokemon)

My first attempt at doing a Fakemon :3c Just thought that Miyuki’s Renamon could be a little more “aggressive” instead of going the miko way, mostly because I’m in the “Miyuki just wanted to be a normal girl” squad ;w;

Still don’t know how to name this Sakuyamon (Samurai mode is a little bit too obvious xD) but well, I tried.
