Its my birthday today !

Not gonna lie i wish i can spend it sleeping but im to busy lol so im just gonna spend it singing out loud badly since its the one day no one can tell me to shut up hehehehe

Also i decided to change it up this year and instead of getting a boring cake i got my favorite non cake desert : palastanian/lebanese kenafeh or kenafeh nabulsi !

I'd say if you ever have a chance to try do it its delicious and unique! Its made with saffron syrup spun pastry and has a middle layer of cheese (either Akkawi or mozzarella)

Its tasty and aromatic ❤

12am.. your eyes shot open as your door was slammed open by your best friend, in their hand was a messy cake which was clearly handmade with love. On it scribbled "Happy 18th Birthday!" in messy icing. "Happy birthday!" They said as they rushed over to your bedside excitedly.

You sat up in your bed and rubbed the sleep out of your eyes, the initial shock having faded the second you realized who was at your door. You turned to face them and smiled as you read the time on your clock, 12 am. "Wow is it really my brirthday already? Holy shit i literally went to sleep like 3 hours ago," you chuckled softly.

You turned your bedside lamp on, letting you get a better look at their beaming face and the cake they had made. A single candle on the cake, enough for you.

"I had to be the one to say it first! I wouldn't be a good friend if I didn't do this!" They laughed as they pulled a lighter out of their pocket and lit the candle which was placed directly in the middle of the cake. "Now let me wish you a happy birthday!"

They started signing happy birthday softly, with a smile on their face. As they sang, they slowly put the cake down on your night stand, being careful not to ruin or drop it.

"Happy birthday dear y/n, happy birthday to you," Their smile seemed to shine brighter than the candle that was right in front of them. This was a tradition they themselves started. Every birthday at 12 am the other would come in to surprise their friend. You were the first to be surprised. It was your 10th birthday when they decided to start, with the help of both of your set of parents of course.

"C'mon, make a wish!" you snapped out of your daze when they spoke, their hand coming up and poking you in the side.

"Okay okay hold on," you closed your eyes and thought of something. When you finally had your wish, you opened your eyes and blew out the candle. They smiled and hugged you, saying another Happy Birthday before they squeezed you lightly and let you go.

"What did you wish for?"

"I can't tell you!" You playfully shoved them and chuckled, "If i tell you it wont come true."

"You're right, you're right." They got up from the floor and laid in your bed, getting comfy, "Lets go to sleep so we can enjoy the cake for breakfast."

You smiled before pulling out the extra blanket for them and handing it over. As you two laid in your bed, them already asleep you smiled and thought over your wish again.

I wished we would always be like this. In every universe, every year. And every lifetime..

A/N: WOAH SURPRISE POST!! I typed this up in less than half a day for my birthday and im kinda happy with the way it turned out.
