The treatment of Lucy’s character really disappoints me.

Every Arc, Lucy is always forced into the role of beaten down, damsel or never given the spotlight to really shine. The only time we ever see her at full potential is tartaros arc and alvarez arc (in the main series i havent read 100yq so im not gonna be talking about it here). However even in tartaros there was bs moves made against her to stop her from fighting.

Like up against jackal, how she chased after him to battle him yet we never got Lucy vs Jackal. Why? Because mashima pulled this bs move of restricting lucy yet again. Holding her back by causing Jackal to hold two people hostage. We NEVER see Natsu put in the same situations as her, its ALWAYS Lucy.

Or with the pheonix priestess movie where I not ONCE saw Lucy fight. She’s always running away, she can’t even catch the gees guy because he magically slips into this random crack in an alleyway because pLoT. I just wanna see her be able to win, like that whole movie I don’t remember a single time she was actually given a moment to just ACTUALLY contribute to the action.

Same with the grand magic games, where she was about to perform urano metria and win (as she should) yet mashima did the same thing of pulling a bs cheapshot with some lamo canceling her spell out of nowhere. It just makes no sense. And we NEVER see this happen to any other characters. We don’t see Natsu’s flames get abolished trying to fight sting and rogue, we don’t see Gray’s ice suddenly melting when he tries to fight, we don’t see wendy having her wind suddenly not work.

It’s ALWAYS Lucy. The shows official punching bag. Fanservice? Just throw Lucy in front of the camera. Characters need a reason to fight? Just have Lucy get beaten up. Need a villian to have a motive? Just have Lucy get kidnapped or her keys stolen. Like literally when do any of the other characters get inconvenienced? I can only think of one time the other characters get the Lucy treatment of being kidnapped and it’s tartaros arc (my fave arc as a lucy stan) but pretty much it’s always only Lucy getting inconvenienced.

AND SIDE NOTE Aquarius just randomly deciding to dip during the tournament MID FIGHT (the water tournament in GMG). I know this is in character for her, BUT LIKE this was just mashima’s excuse to be able to torture Lucy yet again. I mean come on, I get it’s for comedy and all but I’m tired of Lucy being the butt of the joke. Why can’t we just have a moment for her to actually be able to win. And I’m pretty sure Aquarius actually tries to do her job so why would she just dip during the middle of it? I don’t know it just irks me how mashima always finds a way to disarm Lucy (even having villians take her keys too.)

Even in the FIRST EPISODE her keys get tossed aside for plot reasoons! So natsu can come and save the day11!2? It would’ve been so cool if Lucy could’ve fought alongside him and he recognised her as someone with potential to join fairytail. Rather than just having her stand idly by. And in mt hakobe how natsu just magically kicks taurus away whilst Lucy was trying to fight, because we cant have lucy being a character whos actually taken seriously now can we? Nope! She just always has to be the butt of the joke. And in Galuna, where that pink haired girl magically had lucys spirits work against her for just so we can have the obligatory lucy torture yet again. In the lullaby arc what does lucy even do i dont even remember? It’s happy whos the one who suggests for her to use virgo, might as well just give happy the keys at this point. Maybe mashima would actually let them be used for once if happy had them

It’s the same garbage every arc, and it sucks because I love Lucy her magic has such potential to be a powerhouse. We’ve seen her really flourish but the only time she ever gets the chance to flourish is when Mashima realises he’s written himself into a corner and actually HAS to use Lucy’s character. The only times are when he realises no one else can come save her so he actually has to try to use her magic narratively. Like in tartaros (my fave lucy moment) where she FINALLY gets to have her own moment to shine. And against brandish because Natsu is dying of dragon seed cancer!?1?2 oh noes! Looks like Lucy actually has to fight! (W fight by the way one of my fave lucy moments, I was so giddy when I saw her fighting like that for the first time.)

But yeah, I guess I’m just salty that Lucy is constantly thrown aside in favor of Natsu or Erza or sometimes Gray. Lucy deserved better. Sorry for this rant being all over the place, it just saddens me to see Lucy being treated like a joke the entire series. We were robbed.

Fallen Blood is an event that can be soo personal... every time I read it, I cry fr. This is literally one of my fave cards ever. Let me tell u why. First of all,, its an Sr so easier to get (/lh). But also. I have thought waaay too hard about this card so I'm gonna ramble ab it.

So okay right. Mans is constantly stalked and forced by people wanting to fight him, so it stands to reason that his casual outfit (default sprite) would be dark and unassuming so as to not draw more attention to himself and has to be somewhat practical to move in in case he needs to actually run/fight with the people chasing him. The purple jacket isnt that out of place with his hair, so the pop of yellow is really the only colour on his fit but even that kinda goes with with eyes. Yeah, he has his o high uni, but he kinda has to wear that and aside from the jacket it's very much the same as his casual (dark trousers, white shirt). But with this? The first time he's voluntarily worn something colourful and cosy. Granted they're travelling, but like that's even more sad because they're going to a place where no one will know/want to fight him. But he's surrounded by people that he knows care about him too!! Muku, Sakyo, Izumi, Tenma especially. He doesn't have to worry about keeping a low profile, he doesn't have to think about how he'll be able to move in it should he have to resort to running again. He can be COMFY and wear what he wants, no holds barred and he KILLED IT. Like of course he still has his lil jacket around his waist but this is so far removed from any of his other fits at this point in the story and its so cute to me !!! He just looks so happy and at peace !!!

Finally! Keigo finally finally got to take a personal day. He decided he'd take this chance to cross something off of his childhood bucket list.

He'd always wanted to go see the traveling circus. This type of circus was more like Cirque du Soleil. He was flying through the city one day when he saw a new billboard going up. Now, Keigo's always wanted to see a circus, but when he saw the billboard featuring another winged human with vibrant orange and red hued wings smack dab in the middle of it, he definitely had to go. To say the least you were absolutely stunning.

He eagerly walked in to the stands, with popcorn in hand, and took a seat in a special section with more room for his own wings. The area was dimly lit and there was soft chatter amongst the crowd, eagerly awaiting the performances.

Soon the houselights went out and stage lights flicked on with pyrotechnics going off around it. The male lead began the performance, coming out very strong and confident. The crowd watched in awe with all of the graceful dance moves and dangerous stunts happening on stage.

Soo it was your turn to make an appearance. The spotlight jumped to your firgure, gracefully perched on a hoop just hanging from a wire above the stage. You had your vibrant sunset hue wings spread magnificently to their full span. Your costume was jewled up, glimmering in the lights. It was very form fitting, allowing it to show off your slim, athletic figure.

Hawks could not take his eyes off of you. You're even sweeter scent leaking off of you smelled somewhere between pumpkin and vanilla. When his eyes locked with yours for a split second he knew he wanted you all for himself. He was absolutely mesmerized with your quirk too. You have a regeneration aspect and wings? Bloody brilliant mate.

As you spun and swung on your hoop, you started singing. The audience was awestruck by your voice. It was almost as melodic as a siren. Alluring with a hint if danger and power.

During your performance, when you would be swung over the crow, you reached out and brushed Keigo's chin with your hand when you got close enough to the stands. Eventually you leapt off your hoop, gliding down to the stage with your wings poofed out. You gracefully land in your dance partner's arms and begin the duo choreography.

Keigo feels a little bit of jealousy come over him as he sees the other alpha male getting to hold you in his strong grip as he swings you about. Throughout the rest of the show, Keigo couldn't stop from gazing at you. He was determined to meet with you afterwards. Your stage presence was overwhelming. Everyone could sense your confidence, which made it even more hypnotizing.

By the end of the show, Keigo wanted to scent you and probably mark you. He wanted you. Badly. He just knew he had to find you.

You on the other hand, were already planning on how you would 'coincidentally' run into the #2 pro hero before he might take off. Off course, your managers were having the main stars stay behind for about 1 hour to allow viewers a chance to pay to get a photo taken with any or all of you. You were either hoping to meet Hawks through that, but you figured you chances of that were so low, you were going to try to sneak out before hand for even just a few minutes.

Dashing out of your dressing room, you made a bee line for the main lobby area in hopes the Hawks would still be out there. You craned your neck in every direction just to catch a glimpse of his gorgeous red wings. After 5-10min of hunting, you could find him nowhere, or smell his scent that you had drank in during your perfomance. Your manager walked up to you, irritated, and huffed that you needed to go to the photo section this instant and to not run off like that again.

Keigo heard about the photo ops and immediately hunted for the location once he got out of the stands. He was willing to pay just about anything to be near you again. While waiting in the long line he took a feather off of his wing, made sure it was well scented, and attached a small piece of paper onto it.

About 20 minutes into the photo session, you finally saw large red wings in the line. Your insides jumped for joy and with nervousness. You wanted so badly to be near him again. The split second swing by just wasn't enough. A happy scent could be smelled leaking from you.

Keigo drank it in. Getting more and more impatient to reach the front of the line. Finally, FINALLY making it to the front. The moment you both locked eyes, it felt like time stopped.

With having to stay professional, as this was a public setting still, Keigo couldn't just pounce on you and nuzzle his face into your neck. You two didn't actually know each other and that would not make for great press yet.

Hawks walked up to you, a bit shy, but mostly holding his confident alpha stance. His smile was prsctically glowing.

You managed to keep your cool and posed with Hawks for a photo. You draped you arm around his waist and he put one around your should and youu both smiled for the camera!

He thanked you, gave some money to the photographer and then spun back around to slip something into your costume pocket. (yes Im saying your stage costume has pockets xD idk man).

Hawks was quickly ushered away by staff so that they could keep the line going. You were left a blusbing mess with a stupid grin on your face, very eager to be able to go back to the privacy of your dressing room and see what he slipped into your pocket.

What felt like forever, the photo session was finally over and you just abkut sprinted back to the dressing room.

Feeling around your pocket, you pulled out a red feather, with a little piece of paper on it.

Hawks had written: "Hey Omega! You can call me Hawks! Or maybe call me at xx-xxxx-xxxx °v°☆"

You softly laughed and hurriedly opened your phone to add his number to your contacts. Maybe shoot him a text once you get home. This was one of your best nights ever.

Keigo went home that night on cloud 9. He had trouble to not get too excited when he was near you. Again, he wanted you, very badly.

You decided that going to a coffee shop would be a fun date

i wanted to highlight the fact that it was aimeric's neglect that lead him to the regent in the first place. hence "youve done most of the work already" - guion by ignoring and neglecting aimeric created the perfect environment for the regent to sweep in and take advantage. like leaving food out btwn 40-140 F is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria LOL. the books touch on that but i wanted to make it explicit

He is so, so ashamed. It's unbearable, the thought of her kind eyes, the way she cried for him, the way he pushed her away. Before he'd left to join the prince's guard, she had taken his hand, kissed it, and said in a voice fragile as glass, "It's been such a long time since I've seen you smile like that," but in that moment he could think only of the regent's letter warm in his pocket.

6. honestly i know ive sounded super conceited this whole time but i kind of tear up whenever i read through the end of the fic lmfao. aimeric is just so fucking depressing as a character and i love that i really got to explore that in this fic. he really didnt have anyone, did he????? he's like a tragic greek character where you just watch him stumbling towards his inevitable end and it hurts the whole time. its even worse on the reread ANYWAYYYYYYY thats it. thanks so much for the ask anon!!!!!!! feel free to send me more!!!

The ONLY thing that bothered me was part of the fight sequence at the end, like it was half drawn beautifully half animated so stiff and blocky ??? Threw me for a loop. But next week is only gonna get more intense??? I’m gonna guess we’ll get through the Elder Centipede fight??? But then what does that mean for the last episode??? I am full of SO MANY QUESTIONS??? I really don’t want the season to end yet, 12 eps is not enough. There’s only 2 more. Just. I’m not ready to let go of my bbs it feels like I only JUST got them… Well! THE ALBUM YES. so ive been looking forward to it for literally months, this is actually my first skz album release as a stay (since the last on was 9 months ago) i was sitting there hitting refresh on my spotify the second 6pm kst came around. (speaking of which, how did you do the release? i couldnt decide whether to watch or listen first but i ended up on listening cos there would be more material) okay: so cheese was super cool, very skz ya know? tho i almost wish theyd made domino the title track, tho obv it was a more experimental track and would have been a bit controversial (much like whistle for bp) i looooved domino and thunderous was absolutely impeccable. all the songs were amazing but standouts were- secrets, secrets which lowkey made me tear up idk why, red lights which almost killed me (it did not have to go that hard, but it did) and OT8 WOLFGANG omgggg i wasnt sure if hyunjin was going to be included in it but i was hoping and, ya know people had said hed be in there, but the further i got in, the less i was sure and then BAM hyunjin started what had been jisung's part and i just sat there grinning for about 5 minutes. surfin was absolutely adorable and gone away almost made me cry AGAIN. star lost was so touching, almost a nod to hyunjins little star? silent cry was relatable beyond anything. SSICK was funny? for some reason I was laughing while it was playing, idk the combination of added cheering and minhos aggressiveness and the totall seriousness they sung it. but i rlly enjoyed it. sorry i love you showcased their vocals like nothing else. the view is THE BOP of 2021, absolutely going to be stuck in my head for the next decade, that hook is genius. what did you think?

oh yeah, abt quarantine having an effect. my friend and i talked about this earlier actually. i didn't realize the world was moving so fast until the pandemic happened. being in quarantine gave me time to think and i got to know myself more. it's just the sole good thing i got out of the isolation lmao. and abt my strict parents, ironically i got to go out today so i got to hang out with a few of my bestfriends. i had fun but my legs are a bit sore from walking. but they're a different set of friends. i'll get to hang out with the others when my getaway driver comes home in december.

47. are you excited for hairspray live?

i was really excited beforehand, and then i was absolutely disappointed because it was more racist, more sexist, more ableist, and generally worse than the movie version, and while the cast was good, it wasn’t good enough to save bad directing.

48. what show do you desperately want your school/community to do?

well, I want RENT to be back in Germany, and not in the horrible German translation please. Maybe my current employer could get on that? they’re known for excellent stagings of musicals, and they also did Anything Goes in the english original.

49. are you a stronger singer or dancer?

i’m not great at either but I love doing both. since my body is a bit shit though, I suppose i have a slight advantage for my singing.

50. would you rather design the set, direct the show, or help with effects?

i already helped with video and audio effects once, that was fun. i’m no good at set design, and directing doesn’t sound too bad, but I’m not into the creative pressure that comes along with directing. i think I’ll just stick to my dramaturgy. :P
